What I wanna know is why the Leverage Season 3 cover photo (at least for freevee Amazon and other streaming I’ve noticed) has Eliot carrying a bag when this man later states he doesn’t travel with luggage.

february has blessed me with The Sickness (i'm down with it) so apologies for not posting much these past couple days
anyway i'm still waiting for someone to write that alenoaheather fake dating au where both heather and alejandro pretend to date noah- the least intolerable person on the plane besides each other- to make the other jealous and noah Lets It Happen because it's funny and he has nothing better to do (he's read all of his books and now he's bored)

Let's talk about teenage soukoku and the first time they steal a car.
Sixteen years old Dazai Osamu wakes up one day and decides he's going to learn to drive today and because drama is his middle name, he asks (threatens) their chauffeur to teach him about car parts and what they do. After learning each part and its function (mind you he hasn't tried driving once yet) he happily goes to get his partner.
Fast forward to 3 hours later the infamous double black is being chased by a crowd of angry citizens for unsupervised vandalism (property damage, arson, causing ruckus you name it). Between Chuuya yelling profanities and threatening to kill him Dazai pick pockets a car key and to his luck, it's a pick up van parked on the side of the road.
He only hopes the functions are as same as the limo they use in port mafia.
He gets into the car and Chuuya follows, but he doesn't do it quietly.
"What the fuck are we doing?" He asks as he slams the door shut, "bastard can you even drive!?"
"No, but I'm going to learn now," is Dazai's reply as he pushes the key into the ignition and twists it. The engine starts with a roar.
Stage one: accomplished.
Ignoring Chuuya's scream of protests and threats he slams the gear stick and hits the pedal and they're immediately on the road, crowd chasing behind them.
Laughing, Dazai speeds up and Chuuya holds onto the seat for dear life, all while screaming on top of his lungs. Dazai can't feel his face from the gush of wind but he doesn't stop. It's crazy, it's stupid and it's absolutely thrilling.
Somehow he manages to drive them far away from the people, the city (the fucking police if they saw them, Dazai doesn't know) and he stops the car to a side of the road.
He turns to look at his partner and the older boy is still next to him, clutching on Dazai's arm, hair completely disheveled by the wind and breathing heavy.
Their eyes lock and Dazai opens his mouth to tease him, make a joke about how chibi looked like a dog even more now, but then Chuuya starts laughing. He drops his hand from Dazai's arm and he's laughing like a madman, hand on stomach. A giggle escapes Dazai as well because this is new, this feels amazing, he wants to do it again.
They sit there and laugh for god knows how long before a limo is pulling up next to there car and Hirotsu is driving them back, telling them how he won't cover up for them again. They thank him (Chuuya thanks him, Dazai sings "No promises~" and gets pinched by Chuuya) unaware of the fond smile on the older man's face.

this 👆🏻 has been driving me so crazy. i know maria says this all the time, but it's about the "we aren't beatrice" for me. if i'm supposed to believe her words, then i just!! seem to have come to a bit of a standstill!! if there's no more than these 17 people on the island, maria directly acknowledges none of the ones around her are beatrice, while insisting beatrice gave her the letter, then well!! unless she's been brainwashed in some sort of way, well!! "everyone was trying to make her believe" would maybe lead me to assume certain things but since "we aren't beatrice"!! i'm reaching my limit here!!

book runs based on tv shows are usually mediocre at best, like star trek, torchwood, doctor who, etc etc, but i would give anything to get a book run of the BBC Ghosts hotel i need to know what shenanigans those guys get up to in there
#bbc ghosts#bbc ghosts spoilers#six idiots#i think a hotel would be so fun for them#like enrichment#absolutely nothing that happens in there matters in the slightest but they all care so much about everything so really#the weight of any hypothetical plot does not matter#a short story series for example would be great#give me 5 pages of the captain deriding robin about the mouse family he follows and then stalking off to go watch his ants#give me 20 pages of fanny and julian watching something unsavoury going down in one of the rooms only to discover they were wrong#and actually what's happening is totally innocent#give me 15 pages of julian battling for TV remote control with a guest who can't figure out why the remote is malfunctioning#give me fanny accidentally getting in a teenager's selfie and the teen facetiming with her friends about the haunted room she's stuck in#while her parents are on this dumb golf trip#and kitty is jealous that fanny is getting all the attention because this is supposed to be girls night with the teens she's decided#captain and julian watching golfers out on the green#thomas cooing over a blossoming romance and subsequent breakup like its his new personal soap opera#pat sitting in on games out on the lawn and getting way too into it prompting julian to start making bets with him on lawn darts#fanny snooping in guests' luggage and being scandalized by perfectly normal things she considers risque#give a book deal to ben and larry they'd have a ball with it i just know it

nothing serious, just venting a little
i'm preparing for the trip to the lighthouse and i'm going insane over how things keep changing and we don't have any clear instructions. To a certain degree that was to be expected, and I'm okay with that, but it expands to things that should be pretty straightforward and routine.
How do they make 30 trips a year to the place and not have a system for how to deal with the check-in to the ferry? It's pretty simple stuff with several solutions. What annoys me the most is how I've been to Åland a bunch, both for business and pleasure (this will be my 6th trip there in the last year), and it feels like I can't use my knowledge of the different ways to organize such a thing with them, because it's not my place to decide on these things. It's frustrating, because when I asked the guy in charge of my group a fairly simple question, he wouldn't reply to it and instead went on to explain how the check-in system works at large and urghhh I've been there so many times in so many iterations you have no idea, just answer my question of 'A or B'. I know how to do these things, I just want to know if you have specific rules or ways to go on about them. Plus, now it looks like the way we're going to deal with the tickets and check-in is the dumbest one possible, although it adds extra work to him not me so whatever.
And now he brought up our assigned tasks, completely rewriting what he himself decided on earlier, suggesting someone else as the diary keeper who had expressed their interest to be the guide and he had already appointed as one all the way back in March???? I was interested in being a guide too, but took that as a no and shifted my interest into the diary instead, since I do a lot of writing and photographing. But now the original guide, who was as surprised by these changes as I was, suggested I should be the guide instead since I speak the local language and she doesn't, which is also insane how they didn't think of that sooner????? I'm happy to take over, because I love chatting with people, sharing my knowledge with them and showing them around, but I haven't prepared for the role AT ALL, which I would've done otherwise!! (Or ideally I would've, realistically I probably wouldn't have had the time because I've been too busy with thesis stuff). All of this is fine, I'm just annoyed how he keeps so little note of what we've expressed our interest in, and then goes on to announce things completely disregarding where our skills, interest and expertise lie.
And lets not even get into the food-stuff. I don't know if I should laugh or cry, because the fact that me and another member in the group are vegetarian is both not an issue, yet they've managed to almost make it one, and it's kind of baffling to get that sort of reaction to vegetarianism in 2024.

Have any of you had any experience using sites like Bounce, Stasher, etc. for luggage storage? I trust that it will be okay, but a part of me is worried that the people there will, like, snoop through my stuff.

Yesterday was full of solo travel, and very small indignities.
- Discovering that two bags of individually safe carrying weight combined are unwieldy and difficult to maneuver with (dare I say near impossible in my current state.) Embarrassing.
- Breaking not one but two nails and having nothing I can fix this with. Apparently not even my teeth are up to the task. Sad.
- Being stuck on an airplane with a person with the worst BO I've ever encountered at a time when my constitution is a coin flip away from turning the nearest flat surface into a biohazard. (Thankfully sat on the complete opposite end of the plane.)
But also small joys:
- rental car doesn't suck
- was able to check into my room early
- burrito
- naps naps naps
- there are working outlets this time!!
- the remote also works!!!
