Is it #sharkweek? 🦈 ⠀ ⠀ We met a guy whose nickname is turtle 🐢 because he swims like one! He told us all about sharks he’s seen when diving and spear fishing in the Exumas. 🌴⠀ ⠀ The nurse sharks are scary enough. I can’t imagine seeing a great white or tiger shark. He wears a band that puts off a pulse that is supposed to scare them away. I don’t know if I could trust it! ⠀ ⠀ Hanging out on this little sandy island is more my speed! Getting to see Frozen with my best friends and our daughters was such a gift! ⠀ ⠀ The show was spectacular, but watching these little girls light up was that feeling you get on a Christmas morning. It’s good. You can feel it in your soul good. ⠀ ⠀ I admit taking an 8 year old and 5 year old to New York City seemed daunting, but they were troopers! We stayed out until at least midnight every night and they never cried about being tired. Can someone teleport me back to New Orleans this morning for coffee and pastries at @willajeanneworleans ? ☕️🍪⠀ ⠀ Then, we can stay for lunch and dinner. 🍽⠀ ⠀ We did a 24 hour turnaround to @tulaneu last week, but we packed it full of fun! ⠀ ⠀ Our first stop was the cutest @airbnb a mile from the Tulane campus, we walked to the game and cheered our hearts out for the @greenwavefb and especially #46 @willwallace7 ⠀ ⠀ We had a late dinner of pizza and $10 wine and crawled in bed before 2am! ⠀ ⠀ Our first stop Friday morning was rearranging and sprucing up Will’s new room at his apartment. He said it was the best Father's Day ever. I think it might've been the best Sunday ever! We are blessed beyond measure with the love we share and life we lead. His number one goal in life is to love his neighbor like Jesus. I think he does an amazing job. He's always finding ways to help out a friend or pour into them in ways that make them realize how important they are. I take for granted how lucky I am. When he had his heart attack, I realized that pausing life and paying attention was important. We are living this happy life and learning that we can't control everything. Working in Vegas means afternoons at the pool! It's only 102 degrees at 6:00pm......I'm actually on an airplane on my way home right now. I took this pic yesterday. I think the plane is 102 right now and I can't complain since it's been raining for days at home. Jeanine and I came to Las Vegas for a jewelry show hoping to scout out some new pieces to use and maybe try and come back for the show next year. Im here to tell you we failed. The show isn't our style and we found a few things, but totally different from what your used to seeing from @shoplucysinspired. We were sitting by the pool this morning #winning and brainstorming our plans for the future of this business and came up with some amazing things that I think will keep us in a growing pattern and I truly believe we gained more by failing than if we'd seen all the things we couldn't live without. Some of that is being in the ring, trying, learning in every circumstance. I also think it has to do with comparing ourselves to all the good things we see. Being here we saw great things, just not great things in our category. If we saw things that made us think, "we have to do this" we would have walked away feeling behind and defeated.
