Okay so the fact that Lucy has a necrotic finger grafted back onto her hand, kinda like how ghouls have decayed looking skin, and Cooper sewed her finger onto his hand. A finger that's basically untouched by the wastes, uncaloused and soft... Traits that they both need to embrace about themselves.

Lucy needs to become a bit more rough, hardened, less naive and trustful (while still maintaining her kindness and morals)

Cooper needs to soften up, accept help and love and understand that not everyone wants him dead and not everyone will betray him.

Those are wedding rings in my mind.

i love how they show lucy barely managing to keep a forced smile after stephanie mentions having and raising children. and she seems sort of awkward when she mentions having her reproductive organs intact.

while she genuinely believes in the "noble" principles of vault 33, i think deep down she has always wanted something else from life than what the vault has indoctrinated her to strive for.

adventuring with the ghoul and a super doggo might just be that thing, haha.

Prompt: Ice Cream & Apple Pie

In which Lucy works in a diner and a recently divorced Cooper Howard is her regular.

“Hey Cooper, I saved you the last slice of apple pie.” She placed it in front of him with a smile.

“Thank you, Lucy. You’re an angel.”

She couldn’t control her blush at his words or his appreciative noises at his first bite of the pie she’d baked. He took a sip of coffee and smiled at her, his lovely eyes crinkling up at the corners as he spoke, “You got time to sit with me?”

She looked around the otherwise empty diner in the after-dinner lull and knew Ma June wouldn’t give her too hard a time. She’d admit to only herself that she would have sat down even if the diner were busy. “Only for a minute and only for you.”

I keep seeing ghoulcy antis making the same comment somewhere along the lines of “his nose is gone, so would his penis” “he’s irradiated, no genitals” “he’s infertile”

….yall he sewed a finger back on his body and it automatically WORKED.

Why couldn’t he do that for his nether regions?

Also having an infertile lover in the wastelands doesn’t seem like a terrible thing ᵔᴥᵔ

Two days after leaving the Observatory, Lucy’s Pipboy catches a stray signal: My name is Norm MacLean. I’m trapped in Vault 31.

It’s a nasty fight to get the Ghoul to agree, and he grabs her arm and yanks, hard enough to send Lucy stumbling forward. He slaps at the Pipboy until the volume drops.

“Your family ain’t looking too trustworthy right now,” he says coldly.

This close, the light from her Pipboy just begins to cast shadows on his face. The truth of the world is carved across his skin, and Lucy feels that horrid bit of doubt before she wrenches herself away.

“He’s my brother,” she says. “I have to try.”

The Ghoul glares. Lucy cranks the sound up and waits, but he doesn’t move. She looks at the broadcast coordinates, turns her back, and marches towards Vault 31.

“Sidetracked by bullshit,” he calls.

Lucy puts on her brightest voice and yells back, “Every goshdarn time!”

The dog runs after her.

Lucy smiles.

I literally have no idea how to ramble about this coherently but

It gets cold in the desert at night and Lucy is definitely not used to being in an environment that isn't temp controlled.

Anyway, Cooper refuses to light a fire after dark because it attracts undesirables and wasteland creatures.

Lucy is cold :(

It starts with Cooper tossing her his jacket, a little heart to heart is exchanged and then the night ends with them sharing a bedroll with Lucy tucked up against Cooper's chest like a human teddy bear.

I headcanon that ghouls are very warm because of the radiation so she's basically snuggling a radiator.

I also have ideas about him pushing her face first into that bedroll and fucking her like he's feral. But those are for a different post :)

Ghoulcy Week Day 7 - Body Image, Body Worship

I still gotta catch up on the other prompts, but I really wanted to do this one because I have a headcanon that Lucy is fascinated by Cooper's skin and even finds it kinda beautiful, and Cooper is just like completely confused by this lol

They know what they're doing. They have been setting this Power Couple up since episode 1.

And let us not forget the dynamic and huge potential Maximus has with Dane. Both relationships have still plenty of room to breathe and develop with what will go down in s2. Until then, let us freely ship and enjoy whichever coupling we lean towards. Having said that, kudos to the writers, directors, and crew for creating so much nuances in s1 that got us going, conversing, creating, and thinking in all directions. It is testament to their thorough approach to explore the moral spectrum and growth and/or decline of these characters scene after scene, episode after episode. I crave s2 right now.
