y/n laughed as Mapi tumbled over, the defender getting her feet tangled as she tried to tackle y/n, the young Hermoso instead sending the tattooed blonde the wrong way and onto the ground.

y/n sent a cross into Alexia, the woman striking it past Cata and into the back of the net, meaning just as Jonatan called time, the playful training match coming to an end.

y/n cheered with her bib team, jumping on Aitana who was closest to her, the woman laughing and spinning the winger slightly as they celebrated.

Salma poked her tongue out at her friend, clearly annoyed at the playful loss, y/n just shook her head at Salma who laughed as she watched y/n get off Aitana.

An arm wrapped around y/n's shoulder and Alexia pulled the girl into her side, y/n's head coming onto her shoulder being just an inch shorter than her Captain.

"Perfecta como siempre mi estrella." Alexia hummed, relishing in the blush which fought its way up the woman's cheeks.

The use of the term usually made Alexia feel slightly shy, but whenever the words slipped from y/n's lips, something twisted in her stomach, a protective want that made Alexia want y/n to chant the name out in pants and groans beneath her.

As y/n turned to laugh at Mapi, Alexia shook her head of the thoughts which had started to push into her head, she looked up arm still wrapped around y/n only to see Lucy watching her with a knowing look.

The Brit seemed to have been able to sniff out the captain's crush since she stepped foot in Barcelona. The only other soul to know was Mapi, and that was an accident.

Alexia had gone out with the team and the one time she had decided to let loose, and drink she spilled the secret she had kept so close to her heart.

She was in love with y/n Hermoso, her team-mate, her striker, and worse, her best friend's little sister. Mapi had found her in the bathroom after two drinks.

Alexia didn't drink often so she didn't have a high tolerance and she was sat on the closed toilet lid, head in her hands as she tried to rid her impure thoughts while she tried to not think about y/n and the tight dress she was wearing.

When Mapi found her, she was scared her captain had hurt herself, but the woman just scoffed and blamed love for her injury, it didn't take Mapi long to figure it out after that.

Alexia rolled her eyes at Lucy, the Brit just sighing and looking away as y/n chased after Mapi, the blonde letting out a panicked shriek as y/n chased her down with her water bottle.

"Mierda." y/n cursed as she missed Mapi.

Mapi turned back with an evil grin and before y/n could blink she was covered in ice cold water and Mapi was howling in amusement as she stood there shocked.

The rest of the team were all laughing along as y/n trudged back to them, a pout on her lips as she waved her hands in upset at her soaked body.

"Alexia." y/n whined but the captain shook her head.

Suddenly y/n launches forward, her body jumping onto Alexia's back and pressing her cold wet shirt into the back of Alexia's dry one, the captain letting out a shout of annoyance.

Alexia huffs and rolls her eyes but her hands come up to hold y/n's thighs, walking them both toward the changing rooms which once they arrive in, y/n hops off.

Lucy laughs at y/n as she rips her wet top off, flinging it at the now shouting Lucy. y/n ignores the complaining older woman and moves to the showers, unaware of her staring captain.

Alexia wondered if she hadn't seen y/n shirtless in a while, but the once faint outline of abs, were now a chiselled picture on her stomach, the rest of the toned muscles hidden behind her sports bra.

"You're drooling, la reina." Lucy mutters to Alexia, and the captain glares at her.

"Shut up." She sighs.

Once the group were all changed, a large group of them made their way toward the exit, the Barcelona sun still dangling high in the air, trying to keep as much of the day alive as possible.

y/n was talking to Ingrid when she saw her, a body lent against her car, a familiar body who when y/n let out a shocked call looked up grinning.

"Jenni!" y/n yelled, racing over at her sister, the two meeting in a very tight hug, it becoming impossible to define where one sister started and the other met.

If there was one thing that was known of the Hermoso siblings, it was that they were incredibly close. And since they no longer played at the same club, the two were known to visit each other as often as possible.

Jenni's move was tough on her younger sister, the two having been depressed from days at the beginning when they weren't together everyday.

While the two had now become used to the distance, the shock of seeing her sister was still an incredibly grateful one for y/n, especially when they had a day off the next day.

"¿Qué estás haciendo aquí?" y/n asked her sister as they pulled away. The group coming over and hugging their friend one by one.

Jenni sat happily sipping her drink, watching her sister who laughed as Mapi picked up another four uno cards. The group were at a small beach-side bar.

It was a usual for the group to go and relax, they didn't have to drink or party and were warned against it during the season so the bar here was perfect for them to relax but still be out.

Jenni was sat next to Alexia and Lucy, the latter talking with Keira about something funny that her nephew had done, Alexia was just sat watching y/n.

"So, will we talk about it?" Jenni asks Alexia, using English as she knew if her sister was to overhear, which would be doubtful, she would have a harder time picking out English words, not as fluent as her sister.

"Talk about what?" Alexia asks, turning to face her best friend, her face stone cold.

"Your feelings for my sister." Jenni shrugged and if she hadn't have known Alexia so well, she wouldn't have seen the slip in her cold mask.

"Jenni." Alexia sighed, clearly not having the strength to lie to her.

"It's okay, amiga." Jenni tried, knowing how much Alexia hated being overly vulnerable. "It's okay." She adds.

Lucy and Keira move with a shared look, understanding their captain deserved privacy in this moment, the two opting to join the rest of the group who were watching the intense Uno game happening.

"Rule one, don't date teammates. Rule two, don't give up. Rule three, don't date your best friend's siblings." Alexia denies, her voice void of any emotion.

The captain knew as soon as she slipped from her cold mask Jenni would see. She would be able to see the pleading in her eyes, the captain would be begging to be with her sister if not for her rules.

"Rule four, ignore rules 1 and 3 for y/n Hermoso." Jenni says simply.

Alexia and Jenni never had to say much to each other, they both preferred it that way and with that sentence Alexia could have cried.

She looked over at her best friend who smiled softly as if promising it was okay. Alexia gripped her best friend's hand, grateful for her more than she would be able to voice.

"Now, you must swallow your pride amiga, and your stupid rules." Jenni warns as she nods to her sister, who had bowed out of Uno and gone to get another drink.

Alexia nodded and moved quickly, smoothly gliding next to y/n as she thanked the bartender for her new drink.

"Hola Ale." y/n smiled as she looked up at her captain.

"¿Quieres salir a caminar?" Alexia asked softly, and the look in her eyes had y/n nodding and placing her drink down as they left the bar.

The two found themselves walking hand-in-hand down the beach, the crisp Barcelona air still warm, even with the inky sky above them reminding them of the time.

They talked quietly, their conversation flowing easily as they talked of anything that came to mind. But as y/n giggled at a joke Alexia had made, the captain could no longer keep her rules.

"Sal conmigo." Alexia said softly, not even realising it had slipped from her lips.

y/n paused, her body tensing as Alexia stopped, cursing herself in her mind for how un-romantically she had said that, an entire speech had been brewing in her mind but instead she said that.

Alexia bit her lip and stepped closer to y/n, her hand coming up to take hold of the woman's waist, giving her time to pull away, but when she didn't, Alexia pulled her closer.

Alexia let out a breath laugh, her nose brushing y/n's as she did so, her hand tightening around her waist as the other came up to rest behind her neck.

Her lips pushed against y/n's softly slotting them together as she pulled her tighter to her body, she took it no further, despite her body begging her too, simply for now having their lips together was enough.

And that’s what drives you to break the stalemate, because the past couple months  have been a no man’s land between the two of you. Sam shutting you out and you not pushing because you’re scared of this exact thing happening.

Well now it’s happening and it’s time for you to pull up your big girl pants and face it only Sam won’t take your calls, he doesn’t respond to your texts. So you turn up at his office.

If there’s one thing Sam doesn’t like it’s surprises so the sight of you before his desk disarms him completely.

“I don’t have time.” He tells you because the truth is he doesn’t want to deal with this, he’s not emotionally equipped to deal with this.

“Make time.” You tell him, setting the envelop down on the desk in front of him.

He doesn’t know what to say to that because you have never spoken to him but this way but then again he has never put you in this situation before.

“Do you hate me?” You ask him, shoving the divorce papers towards him. “For what I did, for keeping that secret?”

Sam sighs because this is what he’s been trying to avoid, this messiness, the emotions that come with something like this. He’s tired of feeling, he wants to go back to that numbness, to the way he was before he married you.

“No.” He tells you, his gaze focusing on his pen instead of you. “I don’t hate you.”

“Then why…”

“Because being with you has made me soft, weak.” He says as he sags back in his chair. “Before when something bad happened, it didn’t touch me but now I feel everything, the good and the awful and I don’t want that, I don’t want…”

He exhales because his heart, it hurts, it’s been hurting ever since he found out about Lucy. It feels like he’s bleeding out, like his soul is just pouring out of his chest like a river and this is the only way to stop it.

“Sam, you can’t just shut yourself off.” You say softly. “It doesn’t work like that.”

“For me it does.” He says and he sees your jaw clench because you know when you look at him, that this right here, this is the end. “Please don’t fight me on this, I don’t want to take this through the courts but I will if you force me to.”

You feel like he’s punched you, like he’s plunged a knife right into your chest. He reaches for the envelope, removing the paperwork before he turns it towards you and sets the pen down on top.

“This is really what you want?” You ask him, your voice breaking as you pick up the pen and meet his eyes.

“Yes.” He tells you, his finger sliding down to the place where your signature is required. “You need to sign here.”

And by the looks of the box the necklace was in, it was a fancy place. That is a solid real gold necklace he got his/our girl. He didn’t fuck around.

Like the image of him perusing the store and looking at every display and case trying to find the perfect necklace for Lucy 😭 be still my heart. I am weak.

Cos now I'm wondering if he went to the jewellery store specifically for that or was he there to take a look at another type of jewellery (👀) and just happened to find the necklace?

Seriously though… He really didn't fuck around. He found the perfect necklace for her, that looks a lot like the dainty ones she has… And that's the other part that kills me : he clearly knows her taste. My first fandom was Harry Potter. I am not in that fandom still and do not wish to engage in it anymore for a number of reasons, but it was my gateway to reading from an early age and it was an excuse to bond with someone I cherished a lot and who sadly isn't here anymore. I met some awesome friends through it too, friends that put up with me to this day! Hahaha

Which story have you read more than any other? How many times?

You know... come to think of it, I haven't read an entire fic all over! 🤔 (regarding multichapter fics). I do want to highlight the ones I've been going back for certain chapters/scenes that I love! This list shows a variety of writing styles that leave me on the ground swooning (Warning!! no concrete spoilers buuuut references to scenes):

Holy Ground by @lucysarah-c (ongoing): Lucy can pretty much give a masterclass on poetic writing and I'm not exaggerating. I come back to it for my faves: chapter 9 (aka Levi's quiet morning gets interrupted in the funniest of ways - for us readers, not for him lmao), chapter 11 (aka not knowing how to play Scrabble leads to interesting outcomes), chapter 15 (one OF THE BEST LEVI POV I'VE LAID MY EYES ON), and chapter 17 (when you can feel yourself in the scene, it's just that amazing)

North Star by @sixpennydame (ongoing): such SUCH a special story. I love coming back to chapters 6 & 7, the whole Mount Aspe arc is exquisitely written.

Spectrum by @19941117 (finished): I have nothing but praise for this story and the incredible talent of its author. It focuses on an AoT character I've never seen explored before, and has the most breathtaking of endings.

Silver Underground by @amywritesthings (ongoing): this girrrrl leaves Easter eggs everywhere so I had to go back an re-read many parts to come up with theories lmao. I really enjoy the first chapter, the pace in it, the dialogue, the tension. And the whoooole bit on the Underground arc makes my heart become pudding.

What word or expression always makes you cringe when you read it?

Usually I cringe when I see a sustained behaviour that feels excesively out of character to me (in those cases I choose to opt out). I also feel cringe-y in NSFW scenes when intimate parts are refered to overly poetically for my taste. I'd rather have them refered to in a filthy way tbh 😂

Which fandoms do you read fic for?

most inaccurate is probably that I'm actually not sure whether I'd call myself an optimist or pessimist (though I do know that I make an effort to be outwardly more optimistic than I actually feel) and while I do absolutely adore the ocean I'm not sure I'd say that I'm particularly interested in marine biology specifically. it's one of those things I keep telling myself I want to do more research on but I never actually do it, so like, theoretically yes but not in practice? does this make sense?

1. id say lucy heartfilia lives rent-free in my head but it would probably be more accurate to say that I feed her scraps of brain matter and heart tissue and devotion in hopes she deems my soul a worthy resting place (<- look how normal I am about her!)

FT was not only my longest obsession ever to date but also my first after moving countries, so being unwell about Lucy again feels weirdly nostalgic in a way?

2. oh yeah I do adore analysing texts and characters and devices and stuff. which is also why I adore wuthering heights lol (cycles and parallels and tragedies my beloved). I don't really know how to read WITHOUT doing this tbh? like of course there is a difference when I am actively engaging with it but sometimes I'll say something that seems pretty obvious to me and then people will be like "this is a great analysis!" lol

(also not to brag but I've been told more than once that I often approach narratives and symbolism from an angle that others haven't considered before 😏)

I actually started studying literature, but for various reasons (which include not being able to deal with a bunch of people clacking on their laptops at the same time the sound was literally driving me insane does anyone have any tips on how to deal with that) I stopped going after like a month

tho id say my favorite thing to analyze is actualy theater plays? especially because of the added element of speech (it feels unfair to judge an audiobook by this metric since books were primarily written to be read but theater is literally made to be spoken aloud and thus it is the authors duty to also think about the cadences of the words and what the different sounds feel like instead of just focusing on how it looks like on paper imo) and visuals

whenever I go with a friend (I need to go with someone so I can talk about it) I'll first ask them what they thought so I can gather my thoughts and kinda compare and then I won't shut up until we have to go out separate ways lol

3. which is a great way to get into the third point: I do have opinions about everything! (unless I don't have a lot of information on the topic in question). I always keep myself open for counter arguments (my biggest fear is becoming one of those obnoxious stubborn ignorant people who are proud of being stuck in their ways and categorically refuse to even consider other viewpoints and opinions) but unless this is about something factual where you have more experience/facts than me it's actually pretty hard to convince me.

because while I love sharing my opinions to everyone that'll listen, im Not a fan of confrontations? I tire of them pretty quickly so depending on whether you pass my vibe check I will either be honest (hey yo agree to disagree can we change topics) or pretend to agree just so we can move on without anyone getting prissy lmao

4. and yes I do try to always be kind to people! dni if you don't make an effort to wish the bus driver a good day tbh. I have this need to be acknowledged and remembered by strangers and also feel really bad whenever im mean to people so my compromise is to try to always be friendly while wearing bright hair and clothes lol

I think I also have a pretty approachable aura? I'm often asked for directions and stuff (which is always a shame for the people asking because i am lostTM)

5. okay so. this is actually a fun exercise to do. because characters in books need to be fairly simple at their core (so the author can write them consistently) while creating the illusion of being complex and layered - and you can kind of do the same thing to real people!

in my mind that makes me a bad shittalker because I'll be actively doing this while you are trying to tell me about something shitty someone else did to you. I'll try to look at it from various angles (at least within the realm of the possible when going solely by a very biased POV) which often comes across as defending them? but I think this is a rather unpopular opinion since I can't count the times I've heard "I know you don't like to shittalk people, but-" as a conversation starter lol

6. I am! a sarcastic shit! I can clearly tell the difference between my sarcasm and my serious voice, but people say that it sounds the same to them (which just makes it more fun tbh lol) tho I think that's only fair considering I often have a hard time telling when other ppl are being serious vs not

7. idk where I am on the optimism pessimism scale tbh. when I was small I figured out this neat magic trick where if u pretend to have really low expectations things seem even cooler than they actually are. it makes sense (expectations and everyone is master of their own reality and contrast etc etc) but back then I genuinely thought I had unravelled the fabric of the universe lol

so like. I'll always be kinda expecting the worst while at the same time not quite believing it? so I'm not disappointed when the "worst" does indeed happen but am also not actively psyching myself out? idk the only gymnastics I'm good at are the mental ones

It's weird to see Kate share anything about her private life, but on this occasion she took that to her advantage

She knew the fear she was feeling of Lucy getting hurt, she knew if she talked or thought too much about it she wouldn't be able to suppress the urge to cry, she used her weakness to get what she was after, and that's pretty genius if you ask me. In this scene I like more to see her reactions and how she is using what she is feeling as a interrogation technique

In the end Kate isn't saying anything we didn't already know, she cares about everyone, but especially Lucy and opening up like this in front of a stranger just shows that she's willing to do anything to make sure Lucy is safe and sound 🥺

I have a theory in my head and I'm going to share it with you, obviously Lucy was waiting for Kate to arrive, but did you notice how Kai was the last to arrive, and when he arrives we can see that outside the sun is shining, letting us know that it's still early, the way Kate is I don't think it's like her to be late to places, my fan heart tells me that Lucy was worried (in a way) since everyone was there and Kate hadn't arrived yet, Lucy wanted her to be there

It's so weird the way Lucy turns to look at Ernie and her whole body relaxes when she notices him, she even closes her eyes as she leans back against the wall 😪

I think Lucy realized how much she’s still in love with Kate and all these “events” of the episodes reminded her of it.

Like she said “feelings are like Waves..” she decided not to surf the one with Kate, and keep trying to avoid them by taking shorter boring ones…🌊 But eventually the ocean will get you trapped and you won’t have any other choice, take the taller wave Lucy, they are the most fun 😏

In a way she’s forcing herself to get out of the ocean, you could see it in her face when she decided last moment to go on a date with the other woman, she wants to be over Kate and she’s doing everything that she can to achieve that, but every revelations are like a punch to her stomach, that force her to ride the Kate Wave again, she literally broke down in front of Kate, you could feel both the love the hurt and how much she wanted it but wants to avoid it, she’s so scared, little tiny amazon warrior.🥺

Kate is a little bit slower on the love/feelings department, she’s like: what is love? I don’t know that thing? Ohhh wait is it this feeling? Damn I’m in love with her….What now? Someone help? 😱😍🏄🏼‍♀️

I think Kate keep realizing how much Lucy cared/loved her and I think she’s a bit in shock cause I think she has some big self esteem problems and the thought of an amazing woman like Lucy loving her is pretty mind blowing, she seems like she always had problem falling in love, fear of losing ppl, like her brother and so on…Who know, but I’ve got this feeling that she’s never been in love.

I think Kate is always a step behind and Lucy needs to explain everything for her 📖❤️, in a way without knowing she’s teaching her to Love, how to receive it and give it back, at the end it’s like learning a new language and I hope Lucy will decide (of course she will) to keep teaching and learning from Kate.

Honestly I’m here for all of it, their relationship is treated in a very adult realistic way (a part of a couple of things but that’s ok too on the context of everything)

I like their journey and I’m happy to stick with them, I think they may have to start from zero again and this communication problem they have could be great for the future of their show in term of chemistry and keep the fire on🔥

I'm so here for all of it too! And like, I don't think their communication is as terrible as people say? Truth is (apart from Kate having a penchant for not telling Lucy things - the promotion thing was like rubbing salt on that wound - so you hid THAT from me too?? like reminding Lucy of why Kate broke her heart), even now, they have talked everything out sooner or later, regardless of the result (and how good the outcome was). They met again, decided not to pursue a relationship - that's communication. Finally hook up again, Kate wants things on the DL, Lucy is mad at first but then they talk about it. Lucy doesn't ask about things - they talk about it and she asks to be more intimate. Going on a date - they talked about it. Kate is ready to go public - they talked about it. Even after the break-up, and even though it was late, they got to the bottom of why Lucy was still so angry at Kate - and then Kate apologized. Lucy actually asked about the promotion instead of letting it stew. There has always been an active effort to communicate, regardless of timing and outcome.

All in all, this show has very adult characters. And, yeah, adults are sometimes childish, too. But they actually behave like adults, including at an emotional level, which I really like.

But yeah, I'm with them all the way and very hopeful for the finale - still at 98.99% 😆 obviously, Kate needs to step up, but if she's going to consult with Ernie and make a grand gesture I think she's ready to do that. But even if they don't get back together in the finale?

Just one way that SG could have gone without completely upending everything the show did and it would have been 1000000x better. Are there a million different paths they could have taken that would have been better? Yes! But here’s one (and this is focused on the Kara/Lena stuff, I can’t even begin to get into all the other ways I would have loved to see the rest of the characters develop and their story lines).

Season 1 - Kara “coming out” to Winn on the rooftop would have been literal and literal. Out as an alien and her sexuality. “Oh my God you’re gay!” -- “no, I’m not gay! I mean, I’m bi, but that’s besides the point! I’m trying to say—“ — *interrupted again by Winn fist pumping and whisper shouting YES!* “what are you doing?” — “huh? Oh. Uh. I mean, that’s like awesome, you know? Like really great news for people who maybe didn’t think they could have a chance with you, but wow, so many chances. Really good news for...those people...” — *exasperated Kara jumps off the roof*

Superman wouldn’t have been this big, faceless, looming shadow over her in s1. The relationship would have been more complicated. A mix of Kara being torn about feeling abandoned by him and her guilt of not being able to fulfill her role and raise him/protect him as her family intended. Clark is distant with her for several reasons but one of the biggest ones is because Kara is so passionate about Krypton and he knows he can’t be the Kryptonian she would hope to have in him. They obviously care deeply about each other, they’re family, and they try, but there’s tension and it’s an ongoing thread through the seasons weaving through the complexities of their relationship. As well as the additional resentment/tension of Supergirl constantly getting belittled in comparison to Superman. L A Y E R S.

Kara would have crushed on James AND Lucy. She’s all about James and then Lucy shows up and she’s starry eyed. Alex teases her mercilessly about her crushes. Mostly about Lucy because wow those Lanes must have some Kryptonian catnip in their gene pool. Mostly just flirting and cuteness through s1. Maybe some kisses. Nothing serious. “Uh what happened to your thing for James?” — Kara’s jaw drops, yeah, she totally forgot about that. “You got that distracted by Lucy??” — Wincing, she says “okay, but in my defense she is REALLY pretty... James and I can just be friends.” — “what about Lucy?” — “also friends! You can never have too many friends!” — Alex raises an eyebrow at that and Kara blushes, incredibly grateful for the sirens going off a few miles away so she can fly out of the conversation.

At the end of s1, Alex foreshadows with a throwaway line while teasing Kara about Lucy in front of an exasperated Clark. “I bet it’s your destiny to have an LL too. Gotta keep it in the family, right?” — “that’s not a thing” Kara and Clark reply in unison. Alex just laughs. Season 1 ends with Kara happily single and embracing her new life as Supergirl!

Season 2 - Kara meets her LL. 😏 it’s all heart eyes and flirting, but worried because she can’t tell her secret and won’t pursue anything cause a) that’s crossing a line b) doesn’t think Lena will ever like her that way c) Clark would be apoplectic and Kara just doesn’t need the headache.

Mon-El does crash in the pod. He’s the typical jerk, Kara can’t stand him but desperately tries to see the good in him. He falls for Kara, tries to kiss her, she pointedly shoots him down. “Uh. No?” — “why?” — “why??? Because you’ve been nothing but a jerk to me. Why would you ever think I’d like you? Get over yourself.” — Mon-El starts to see the error of his ways, changes his behavior, and they become friends. The biggest change is that Kara realizes she can talk about Krypton with him. He’s her closest tie to Krypton, the life she lost, even closer than Clark could ever be. Mon-El knows Kryptonian. They had similar upbringings. Closer than anyone else in the galaxy would be able to know. One day at the DEO Alex walks past the two of them, both suited up for superhero work, laughing and talking animatedly, and goes to J’onn with a curious face. “Am I hearing Kryptonese?” — J’onn shrugs. “And a little Daximin too, I’d guess from the sound of it.” — Alex is intrigued.

Lena is saddened by the “Mike” development. But determined to keep Kara in her life. Her ex “Jackie” comes to town with nanobot technology. Kara bombs their date with Mon-El and is seriously jealous to the point where Mon-El actually asks her if there’s anything there. Kara denies it. Jackie is being controlled by her silent partner, Bill. “You know what they say,” he mocks to Lena, “behind every great woman is—“ — “a petty and bitter little bastard?” — Lena has to pull the plug on Jackie to save Supergirl. She dies. It’s sad. Kara is there for her.

Earth gets irradiated with lead. Kara’s sad to say goodbye to Mon-El, but not devastated. S3 opens with Kara in a state of depression. Alex tries to talk to her. “I know it hurt to lose him-“ — “you don’t understand. It’s not about him. I didn’t...I didn’t lose HIM. I lost so much more...” she lost krypton again. Her last connection. She grieves for her home, not for the man. Lena, however, doesn’t know this distinction and is torn that Kara seemed to love him so much and it further confirms that Kara would never see her or want her as anything more than a friend. Resigns herself to this fate. To love from afar.

Meanwhile...Season 3 reveals that Lena’s known the truth about Kara all along! She’s just been playing along with the game until Kara trusts her enough to tell her. But the longer Kara waits, the more hurt Lena is. The feud between Supergirl and Lena begins. Lena takes out her anger on Supergirl but keeps Kara. She unconsciously compartmentalizes her resentment and hurt by focusing it on Supergirl and continues to pine for Kara, separating them as if they really are two different people in her mind (though she knows otherwise).

James starts to develop an interest in Lena after getting to know her better when she buys Catco, but Lena has no interest. Just friendly with him. Sam teases her at Kara’s Christmas party. “James is looking fine tonight.” — “oh, stop. It’s not like that. I’m his boss.” — “yeah cause that’s never happened before.” — “seriously. I’m not interested.” — “well that’s a shame cause from the way he’s looking over here, he definitely is.” — Lena groans. “I sincerely hope you’re wrong about that.” — Sam smiles knowingly and drops her head to whisper in Lena’s ear. “Because the one you really want is standing next to him?” — Lena glances over and sees Kara on one side of James with Winn on the other. “Alright. You got me. I’m infatuated with Winn Schott. My secret is out.” She sips her wine ruefully. — Sam sighs. “Lena, why won’t you just—“ — “Sam.” She cuts her off all too seriously and shakes her head. — sighing again, but respecting her wishes, Sam doesn’t push it. Instead she kisses Lena’s cheek and touches her face, rubbing her thumb affectionately over her cheekbone. “I only want for you to be happy, my friend.” — Lena smiles sadly, eyes glistening, and turns her face into Sam’s hand, putting her own over it, kissing her palm briefly in gratitude, and squeezes her hand between hers. A loud thud of someone dropping something on the countertop across from them startles them both. It’s Kara. Looking very chipper. Very eager. Very energetic. Her smile all teeth. And if happiness could be aggressive, Kara has mastered the art. “Sam, I think Alex was looking for you! We’re about to eat anyway!” — “oh! Uh. Okay. Thanks.” — Sam walks away and Kara can’t make eye contact with Lena, moving on to talk to someone else. Lena is baffled, but refuses to listen to Sam’s insistence later than night on how that was most definitely an extremely jealous Kara.

Mon-El returns, happily married to Saturn Girl! Kara is surprised, slightly jealous, but gets over it quickly. They agree to be pals. Kara’s surprised by how easy it is and she’s grateful to keep him in her life. He’s happy with Imra and has moved on from Kara completely. A scene where Mon-El and Imra see Lena enter the DEO as they watch secretly from the balcony above. “So that’s her? The Lena Luthor?” — Mon-El is grave and serious. “You can’t tell Kara.” — “I know.” — “she can’t know anything. It’ll change too much.” — “Brainy already gave me the lecture, I don’t need it from you too. But tell me, do you really think that Kara doesn’t have a right to know what that woman will do?” — “it’s not up to us. We cant risk our future.” — “so you’ll lie to Supergirl?” — “yes.” (Dun dun dunnn! Ominonousssss! Cryptic!!)

Season 4 - Kara finally tells Lena the truth...that she’s Supergirl, not the the other truth. Lena tells her she’s known all along. Kara is shocked and a little upset that she’s hidden it from her all this time. Lena has NO TOLERANCE for the self righteous hypocrisy. Season 4 is tumultuous as Lena finally faces how truly hurt she is by how long it took for Kara to tell her the truth (in her mind, trust her). Kara is grappling with how to handle the fact that Lena KNEW and still Kara kept lying and Lena kept pretending. Sows doubt about their relationship. They argue and get it all out over the course of the season, while still working together. Lena shoots Lex, killing him to protect Kara. She tells Kara what happened and it banishes any shakiness or doubt between them. Kara is devastated that she wasn’t able to stop Lex, so that Lena wouldn’t have had to do such a thing. Feels like she failed her. Lena assures her that she would do it again if she had to, she would do anything to keep Kara safe. The rift is sealed. Season 4 ends with Supergirl/Lena hugging and Kara/Lena kissing.

Season 5 - they’ve finally gotten their shit together and admitted their feelings!! Romance and heart eyes and ridiculous flirting abounds. Kara skips on air for weeks, driving Alex up the wall (but she’s also happy for them both because jfc that took forever). All new and shy and lovely. “I love you” is exchanged! But CLASSIC TROPE ALERT! Lena gets kidnapped because of her ties to Supergirl and Kara goes on a rampage to find her. Eventually rescues her but there’s a cost. Season 5 ends with Kara saying she’s going to stay away from Lena for her own good so nothing like that will happen to her again. She has to protect her. Lena is heartbroken. So is Kara.

Season 6 - Kara gets sent to the phantom zone and Lena goes on a rampage to save her (role reversal!). After rescuing her, Lena refuses to let Kara pull away again. Demands that they work through this together. Kara doesn’t have it in her to fight it any longer. She loves Lena too much. They settle into domesticity and a real partnership. All in. Hints of proposal on the horizon.

Very end of series finale does a time jump where we see the briefest flash of the justice league with a VERY MARRIED Supergirl at the helm. Potential spin off? Happiest of happy endings!

Oh and that cryptic comment Imra made about Lena in season 3? “What that woman will do” is save entire goddamn universe and is the foundation upon which the Legion is able to exist. Supergirl is their inspiration and Lena is how they’re able to fight. L-Corp, Lena’s technology, and her philanthropy/mission extends through the ages, thousands of years in the future. L-Corp thrives on Lena Luthor’s legacy and has expanded throughout the galaxy as a force for good, often financing/teaming with the Legion.

okay I bumped this up the line because I couldn’t help it, so here ya go!!

Prompt:  "I think I'm in love with you"

Ship: Blackdale (Lucie x Jesse)

"I think I'm in love with you," Jesse said.

He was leaning against her desk, arms crossed. The moonlight streaming in from her open window cast him in a surreal glow, making his skin paler, his green eyes brighter, and his dark hair almost meld into the shadows.

Lucie leaned back into the cushions of her bed, where she was perched at its edge, watching him, pressing a curled finger against her lips in thought. She frowned.

"That's awful," she informed him. Jesse cocked a brow at her, as if to say have you a better idea?

"Jesse, think- when they first met, he had come to kill her!" She stood up with some frustration, using her hands to animated her words as she spoke, "Now I intend to retain the original story's main elements, he is still the Huntsman, and she remains Snow White, not throw them into a tragic love story. After she kills her stepmother and becomes queen-"

"The guards wish to execute him." Jesse said, waving her off, "Yes, Lucie, I understand, that is why it's the perfect moment for him to admit his feelings. You said it yourself, all that he did to hurt her, it never came from him. He was merely a puppet, subjected to the whims of the Evil Queen."

"Fiona," Lucie added thoughtfully, "Even villains deserve to be named. But even if he wishes to confess, that's a plain awful way to do it."

Jesse glanced at her with some surprise. They'd been discussing this same story three nights in a row, after he'd brought up the time they'd met in the forest, then they'd argued about how the original Snow White had ended. To prove him wrong, she'd found the book and read it aloud.

Of course, he had been right. In the original fairy-tale, Snow White did marry the prince, and invited the Evil Queen to their wedding.

"What a foolish girl! She's gone and married a man she'd only just met,"

"He had saved her, so that must count for something," Jesse replied with a shrug, looking smug about having been right all along.

"Yes but why should that mean they are in love? You've saved me in the forest, and look at us, a perfectly good pair of friends!"

There had been a moment, then, which her mind would flash back to for several nights to come, when Jesse had looked down at the floor and then given her a tight smile.

"Right," he'd said "of course."

Almost immediately afterwards, Lucie had decided to write her own ending to this story- the Grimm brother be damned.

Now, they were arguing, for about the billionth time, over how the story would end. Jesse loved to read, he'd told her as much that night at the library, and anyone who loved stories knew the elements necessary to create a good one. She had never taken Jesse to be a romantic, but he had been nagging her endlessly about the Huntsman and his confession.

"Why would it be so awful?" He asked, a curious look in his eyes. Lucie scoffed, now pacing as she spoke.

"It isn't something you just guess at! When you throw, you must aim. When you write, you must plan. When you love…" here, she stopped, in front of her desk. In front of Jesse. "you must know."

Lucie could not tell exactly when the mood had shifted, when their talks had begun to have a double meaning, nor when the silences between them grew more and more intense. Only that it had.

Her mind reverted to two weeks ago, tears streaming down her face, Jesse's thumbs brushing them away, the way her mind told her remember, remember, remember.

"You must know," Jesse agreed.

"Yes," she said, a tad distracted, "exactly."

Jesse's eyes searched hers, and Lucie wondered what he was looking for, what he would find. Her heart was suddenly beating faster and her mind had become aware that it was very late, he was close, and they were very much alone.

"Lucie, why are you changing the story?" He asked. Lucie was taken aback, having not expected him to mention her writing, not when she'd felt the air change around them.

Or perhaps she had read too many novels.

"What?" She asked, blinking.

"Why wasn't the ending of Snow White satisfactory to you, Luce? Why do you wish to change it?" He said, and there really was something in his eyes, that bright, forest-green color, that seemed to pull the answer right out of her.

"I… I don't know," she said, but that wasn't true. She did know. Because the princess had never gotten the opportunity to leave her little hut and discover the world for herself. Though they meant well, her dwarves served only to trap her. And when she'd taken a risk, had needed aid, and someone had answered, she had walked from one cage to the next, not a question on her tongue. Because the prince had helped her for his own gain, had seen a pretty thing and deemed it his own. What would she have said, if a man had not written her thoughts? What might she have done differently, if only she was given the right to a choice?

"He didn't even love her," Lucie said at last, her voice quiet. It was one of the many reasons, but it was a rather important one. One could overlook badly made decisions and reckless behavior if it were love that backed them up. But here, they hadn't even that. And that was more tragic than any story the Grimm Brothers had told.

"What of the Huntsman?" Jesse asked, bringing her back to the present.

"What of him?" She replied, confused.

"He was sent on a mission, by the person who controls his every move. He was told to kill the princess, to retrieve her liver for the Queen, but instead he chose to protect her. He knew that it went against the Queen's wishes, knew that it would anger her to know, but he deemed saving her more important than whatever punishment awaited him. Is that not love?"

Lucie was stunned into silence. She had not thought of that, any of it really. In all honesty, she had meant to throw him tragically into a fire to serve as a lesson to all who dare to go against the new queen.

This… opened new possibilities.

Jesse straightened, watching her. He was always leaning against something, or sitting, perched on her desk, at the edge of her bed. Now, standing only inches away, she noticed how much taller he was than her. Taller than James, no doubt.

In her mind's eye, she had compared Jesse often to the prince, who had discovered a princess and chose to help her, though Jesse was not so cruel, and Lucie not so naive. But now she questioned her decision, thinking perhaps he'd been the Huntsman all along, willing to put himself at risk for the princess he hardly knew. Willing to give up his last breath to save her brother.

"Jesse…" she said, her voice barely a whisper, barely a breath.

"I'm certain," he said. Lucie watched the way his eyes, the same shade of green as the trees she remembered from the forest all those moons ago, darkened with some determination.

"Of what?" She asked, feeling her heart pick up speed.

"You said one must know, Luce, didn't you?" He said, his voice was quiet, but he was so close there was no way she could miss a word that left his lips. One hand rose to brush a stray strand of her hair behind her ear, and Lcuie sucked in a surprised breath. His fingers trailed down her jaw, coming to cup her face.

"Lucie, I'm certain that I love you,"

I feel so bad for past Yoongi, he was so selfless with Dasom and you can really tell that he tried his best to help her but he still lost her, his best friend, and broke his heart. I understand now why he's so scared to commit again. He doesn't want the same thing to happen again, he's just trying to protect his heart but ended up hurting OC in the process. And now that he's set on winning OC back I wish him all the best!! I can't believe I said I want him on his knees 😭 Yoongi I'm so sorry 😭 But still OC did not deserve what Yoongi did to her so I guess seeing Yoongi getting jealous over Tae is enough revenge for me 😏🤭 I can't wait for the next chapter!! my favorite anime is probably fairy tail. it’s the first anime i ever watched n the first manga i ever read

i honestly don’t know what least favorite anime is😭 i wanna say naruto (^.^) n some of y’all might be real mad at me lmaoo but i couldn’t get into it. i feel like it’s so overhyped

the last anime i watched was assassination classroom, i just started it n so far so good😙

my favorite anime film is hands down ponyo 🥺 it was the first studio ghibli film i watched n it made me tear up cause of how cute it was

um i have yet to watch any real SAD anime’s, (i wanna watch your lie in april and a silent voice but i haven’t gotten around to it) i’d say the anime i cried the hardest at was fairy tail cause i was sad that it was over😣

my comfort anime is fairy tail for sure. like i said it was the first anime i’ve ever watched n i just keep coming back n rewatching it lmaoo

my favorite anime character(s) are kageyama tobio from haikyuu (a must i mean😛), tohru honda from fruits basket (she reminds me so much of myself), nastu dragneel n lucy heartfilia from fairy tail (yes i ship them, i have since i seen the first episode 😙) n probably usui takumi from maid sama (the way he never gave up on misagi made my heart go BUDUM)

for fun my least favorite anime character is probably usagi tsukino from sailor moon crystal (DONT YALL DARE GET ON ME LMAOOOO) i love the anime don’t get me wrong i feel like it’s a classic, but i can not express how many times i was yelling n shouting at the tv cause usagi was getting on my damn nerves😭. there were way too many times where she acted like a brat n put her emotions before others. still love her tho🥰 ^ik that’s the remake n i have the original on my watch list so😏 we shall see

for shoujo or shounen i watch both honestly, i don’t have any anime category that i wouldn’t watch. but i would say so far i’ve watch more shoujo anime🦭

last but not least the anime universe i would shift into is fairy tail (no surprise there LMAOOO) because i wanna learn magic n join the fairy tail guild🥺 n i also feel like i would fit in more there than any other anime

I have so many mutuals on this site but I realized I know next to nothing about what other anime they like. So I decided to make a tag game! The rules are to answer the questions about the various anime you’ve watched and then tag five people you would like to get to know better.

Favorite Anime: There are so many that I love but I think my favorite by far is Attack on Titan.

Least Favorite Anime: Hmm… I’ve enjoyed most of the anime I’ve seen, but I was never able to really get into Sword Art Online. The first couple episodes just bored me.

The Last Anime You Watched: Given!!!!

Favorite Anime Film: I grew up on Studio Ghibli films and Howl’s Moving Castle is by far my favorite. But the Given movie is coming to Crunchyroll in February so that might change 🤧

The Anime You Cried the Hardest At: Your Lie in April. If you tell me you didn’t cry when watching this, I’m sorry but you don’t have a soul.

Your Comfort Anime: There are a lot of anime I go back to when I’m having a bad day and need to distract myself, but the one that’s been there for me during the hardest times in quarantine is Gakuen Babysitters.

Favorite Anime Character: This is a really hard one. I love angsty characters and also determined characters, so some of my favorites are Kyo Souma (Fruits Basket), Bakugou Katsuki (BNHA), Kurapika Kurta (Hunter x Hunter), and Bishamon (Noragami)

Shojo or Shounen: I love both tbh. There are certain tropes in a lot of shojo anime and manga that I try to stay away from, but I love Maid-Sama, Fruits Basket and so many others. And I’m not gonna lie, a lot of fight scenes in shounen anime kind of bore me. Still, I’m more inclined to watch a shounen anime because that’s more of what I hear hyped up on Tumblr and Tiktok.

If You Could Shift Into Any Anime Universe, Which Would it Be: I would love to shift into the Hunter x Hunter universe and master whatever Nen ability I have.
