Houthis launched missile strike on US ships and Israel’s Eilat
Yahya Sarea, the group’s military spokesman, said on Tuesday that Yemeni Houthis launched a missile attack on the MADO fuel tanker in the Red Sea and cruise missiles at the Israeli port and resort region of Eilat.
The MADO tanker was carrying Marshall Islands-flagged liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to Singapore from Saudi Arabia, maritime shipping trackers showed. Houthis labelled it as American, but the Equasis ship database shows it belongs to Greek company Naftomar Shipping & Trading Co Ltd. Naftomar did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Iranian Houthi militants have repeatedly launched drones and missiles at international commercial ships in the Red Sea region since mid-November, saying they were acting in solidarity with Palestinians opposed to Israel’s military attack in Gaza.
The attacks have disrupted global shipping, forcing companies to make longer and more expensive voyages across southern Africa.
The US and Britain and other naval forces retaliated against Houthi targets.

Khí nén thiên nhiên: Nguồn năng lượng sạch cho ngành giao thông vận tải
Ô nhiễm môi trường tại các thành phố lớn đang là vấn nạn trên toàn thế giới, không chỉ riêng ở Việt Nam. Nguyên nhân lớn là do mật độ xe cộ tập trung đông ở thành phố (TP) và thải ra lượng lớn khí CO2 gây ô nhiễm không khí. Khí nén thiên nhiên CNG hiện được xem là giải pháp thay thế cho các nhiên liệu hiện hữu như: Dầu FO, DO, LPG,… nhằm giảm thiểu ô nhiễm môi trường.
CNG được tạo ra bằng cách nén khí tự nhiên (thành phần chủ yếu là methane – CH4). CNG được sử dụng trong ôtô động cơ xăng/ đốt trong truyền thống đã được sửa đổi hoặc trong các phương tiện được sản xuất riêng cho CNG chuyên dụng, với hệ thống xăng tách riêng để mở rộng phạm vi (nhiên liệu kép) hoặc kết hợp với nhiên liệu khác như diesel.

So với xe chạy bằng nhiên liệu xăng hoặc dầu (diesel), khí nén thiên nhiên CNG được đánh giá mang lại hiệu quả cao hơn không chỉ ở khía cạnh kinh tế mà còn có tác dụng bảo vệ môi trường.
Khi sử dụng CNG làm nhiên liệu giúp giảm phát thải đến 20% lượng CO2, 30% lượng NOx, 70% SOx so với các nhiên liệu từ dầu. Khi sử dụng trong động cơ, CNG làm giảm đến 50% lượng hydrocarbon thải ra so sánh với động cơ xăng.
Trên thế giới, CNG được sử dụng thay thế xăng do những lợi thế vượt trội. CNG dễ phát tán, không tích tụ như hơi xăng và LPG. Do quá trình cháy xảy ra hoàn toàn, không gây đóng cặn trong thiết bị đốt và bộ chế hòa khí của các phương tiện nên CNG giúp nâng cao hiệu suất, kéo dài được chu kỳ bảo dưỡng và tuổi thọ máy móc thiết bị.
Về mặt kinh tế, thực tế cho thấy, chi phí cho xe sử dụng nhiên liệu khí thiên nhiên CNG thấp hơn khoảng gần 40% so với xe chạy xăng hoặc dầu. Giá thành CNG có tính ổn định trong thời gian dài so với giá các sản phẩm dầu mỏ. Do vậy, ngày nay CNG được sử dụng rộng rãi trên thế giới làm nhiên liệu động cơ thay thế xăng, dầu.
Bất kỳ phương tiện xăng hiện nay có thể được chuyển đổi thành một phương tiện nhiên liệu kép (xăng/CNG). Các cơ sở được ủy quyền có thể thực hiện trang bị thêm và lắp đặt xilanh CNG, hệ thống phun CNG và thiết bị điện tử.
Phổ biến toàn cầu
Do thân thiện với môi trường và giá thành khá cạnh tranh, CNG được sử dụng nhiều từ xe bus, đầu máy xe lửa, rồi các loại xe cá nhân… Hiện việc sử dụng xe CNG đang gia tăng ở châu Âu, Nam Mỹ, châu Á…
Italia có thể được coi là một trong những đất nước đầu tiên trên thế giới dùng CNG thay thế cho nhiên liệu xăng dầu truyền thống. Hiện ở đất nước này có 1.173 trạm CNG cung cấp cho hàng trăm nghìn phương tiện giao thông. Điều này giúp không khí nơi đây giảm ô nhiễm đi rất nhiều, bên cạnh các lợi ích về kinh tế. Các hãng của Italia, hay các hãng của nước ngoài như: Fiat, Volkswagen, Rnault, Volvo, Mercedes… đều bán nhiều mẫu xe hơi và xe vận tải nhỏ chạy bằng xăng/CNG.
Khác với Italia, Bỉ được xem là nước mới tiếp nhận CNG. Ở Bỉ, CNG là một loại nhiên liệu rất mới. Vào đầu năm 2014, Bỉ chỉ có 17 trạm tiếp nhiên liệu CNG, tất cả đều ở Flanders. Nhưng điều này đang nhanh chóng thay đổi, đến 2017, nước này đã có 76 trạm nhiên liệu tiếp CNG.
Sự thay đổi ngoạn mục nhất về sử dụng CNG phải kể đến là ở Đức. Tại Đức, vào năm 2010, dự kiến có 2 triệu xe cơ giới các loại dùng CNG. Chi phí cho nhiên liệu CNG là từ 1/3 đến 1/2 so với các nhiên liệu hóa thạch khác ở châu Âu, đó là động lực chính để có sự chuyển đổi này. Trong năm 2016, Đức đã có khoảng 900 trạm CNG. Các nhà sản xuất ô tô lớn của Đức như Volkswagen, Mercedes, Opel, Audi cung cấp động cơ CNG trên hầu hết các mẫu xe của họ.
Châu Á là khu vực sớm chuyển mình dùng năng lượng sạch CNG. Các phương tiện giao thông công cộng như bus, taxi ở Singapore sử dụng CNG chiếm tỷ lệ ngày càng lớn. Những năm gần đây, xe hơi tư nhân của nước này cũng đã chuyển đổi từ dùng xăng sang dùng CNG. Singapore hiện có 5 trạm nạp khí đốt tự nhiên CNG. Trong đó, trạm tiếp thứ 5 và lớn nhất trên thế giới đặt tại Toh Tuck đã được Union Group khai trương vào tháng 9/2009, với 46 vòi tiếp nhiên liệu.
Đặc biệt, Iran là nước có lượng xe sử dụng nhiên liệu CNG và mạng lưới phân phối CNG lớn nhất thế giới. Nước này có 2.335 trạm tiếp nhiên liệu CNG, với 13,534 vòi tiếp CNG, lượng xe dùng CNG vượt quá 3,5 triệu chiếc. Tiêu thụ CNG của ngành GTVT Iran là khoảng 20 triệu m3 mỗi ngày.

Việt Nam chuyển mình
TP Hồ Chí Minh đang sử dụng xe bus nhiên liệu CNG. Bước đầu triển khai, loại xe bus này đã thể hiện những ưu điểm vượt trội về tính an toàn, hiệu quả kinh tế, thân thiện môi trường. Theo lộ trình 2018 – 2020, TP Hồ Chí Minh cần đầu tư mới 3.121 xe bus, trong đó xe dùng nhiên liệu sạch CNG dự kiến chiếm 75%.
Mới đây, hệ thống xe bus sử dụng năng lượng sạch CNG đã chính thức vận hành kết nối giữa hai tỉnh Bình Dương với Bình Phước. Đây là tuyến xe bus chất lượng cao với 25 đầu xe được lắp đặt camera an ninh, hệ thống máy lạnh, sử dụng thẻ điện tử để tính cước phí. Cứ sau 20 phút sẽ có một chuyến xe khởi hành kết nối giữa hai TP đã phần nào đáp ứng nhu cầu đi lại của người dân. Thực tế, đã có rất nhiều người lao động đăng ký đi làm bằng xe bus chất lượng cao.

Hà Nội cũng là một trong những TP đi đầu trong việc dùng xe bus CNG. Mới đây ngày 18/11/2019, Hà Nội mở thêm 4 tuyến xe bus dùng CNG, nâng tổng số lên 7 tuyến.

Nhiều chuyên gia nhận định, việc dùng các năng lượng sạch như CNG thay thế một phần (khó thay hoàn toàn) cho xăng dầu trong vận tải công cộng cũng như cá nhân là xu hướng tất yếu. Sự chuyển đổi này càng nhanh càng tốt, nhằm đạt mục đích kép là kinh tế và bảo vệ môi trường.
Những xe bus chạy xăng dầu cũ kỹ thải khói đen mù mịt sẽ dần được thay thế bằng xe bus dùng năng lượng sạch, trong đó có khí CNG, trên những TP lớn của Việt Nam. Khi đó, chất lượng không khí sẽ tốt hơn, giảm ô nhiễm môi trường, sức khỏe và chất lượng sống con người được đảm bảo hơn.
Tình hình sản xuất CNG tại Việt Nam
