Maybe I should actually get around to reading the Twilight Princess manga because I have postponed it since forever because Twilight Princess is my favourite (stay with me) so it's like the same problem with the Zelda movie because if the characters aren't exactly like I picture them in my head I'm worried it will just dislike it/change my relationship with the game 🧍‍♂️but I also have about 5 billion pictures of the manga saved on my pinterest so like I've been like steadily working towards appreciating it over the past year and a bit so I could actually quite like it but uhmmm anyways ...I think I actually need to get more normal

Compilation of 'Vincent's Graffiti' in Shinra Manor Basement

He knows of the Remnants of Sephiroth already...??

I managed to compile all of the contents in the cave as best as I could, Japanese, English, and images. While much of this isn't new per se, I did come across something that I've seen rumored, but never saw any images to prove the statement... that is till I did some digging myself. It had been rumored that the names of some of the Remnants had been written on the walls. Turns out, the rumor is true. What makes this very intriguing is that this supposedly written by Vincent. The names Loz, Yazo(o), and Jenova appear mixed with some complex mathematical equation.

Granted, this could have been written by either Lucrecia or Hojo, but it wouldn't make sense for them to scribble scientific data on a cave wall as opposed to archivable science media. And given the vibe of the other words and images, one can only assume this was written by Vincent himself. Perhaps it was done after his initial state of mental turmoil, once he was able to regain control over himself, but that's all highly speculatory. What is interesting to note is that Vincent in Advent Children was 'well informed' about the Remnants, according to Cloud. How Vincent had this prior knowledge, we are not told. But to see Loz, Yazoo, and Jenova's names written in Vincent's cave, it seems to either be a nod, or something else entirely. Sure, it could all just be decor. However, if there's one thing we've learned from Remake and Rebirth, there are a ton of meta narratives, and the smallest details can often mean something worthy of note. But what could be the implications of Vincent being aware of the Remnants at this time...? I can hardly speculate. But at the very least, assuming these ARE Vincent's writings, it could mean that either 1) Vincent has some really dark/deep secrets he's hiding, or 2) the Chaos gene somehow turned him into some kind of genius.

Finishing the last of FFVII Rebirth's VR challenges. Just wrapped up "To be a Hero" a couple of days ago. Taking another stab at "Bonds of Friendship" tonight. Anyway, I just had a revelation of sorts: Both fights involve Cloud plus an "assistant" character with Sephy and Zack, respectively. Both gauntlets end with Odin, who, with all due respect, is a bit of a see-you-next-Tuesday of a boss fight... BUT I am now fairly convinced that the Lord of Frenzy's position at the head of this hellish and interminable 10-round boss rush is NOT a coincidence.

Think about it. Cloud Strife's animal motif is that of Fenrisúlfur (Fenrir), the deiform wolf destined to slay Odin, the ruler of the gods, during the battle of Ragnarök at the end of all things in Norse mythology. I know that Square ran that boring-ass "chocobo hair" joke into the ground with Rebirth, to the point where newcomers to the series might actually be fooled into thinking that it's his real animal motif (and not just some tedious dad joke that has long since worn out its welcome), but prior to the new Remake series, the developers kept giving Cloud strangely villainous motifs, such as associating him with Fenrir, ostensibly one of Norse mythology's worst malefactors, or gifting him bat wings in Kingdom Hearts (unambiguously Satanic imagery).

More basic takes on this character usually involve some combination of the terms "emo", "loser", "boifailure", etc. Monosyllabic linguistic butchery aside, some of these descriptions may be partially true, but they often miss the real point: Whatever else he may be, Cloud Strife is anything but a harmless softie. If anything, post-canon, he is a psychological ticking time-bomb, one whose mental state depends largely on the company he keeps. With good friends keeping him on the straight and narrow, he'd undoubtedly be the gentlest soul. In the wrong company, however? He could easily end up becoming far more unhinged and dangerous than even his greatest nemesis could aspire to. Kitase once described him as having "a real dark side", one that presumably has less to do with Sephiroth's mind games than his own struggles against the world, ones that have rendered him a near-misanthrope, and which almost certainly would have if not for his ties with his friends and found family (Aerith, Tifa, Barret, Yuffie, etc…).

We catch glimpses of this side of Cloud's character every so often, such as when Yazoo and Loz shoot him in the back near the end of Advent Children. His reaction is telling. His face betrays not the dejection of someone ready to give up the fight, but the sheer vitriol of someone ready to tear apart anything and anyone foolish enough to get in his way. The same goes for his final confrontation with Sephiroth at the Northern Crater during the original story's ending. Sephiroth falls back on his usual intimidation tactics, not realizing that his hated enemy has long since cut his strings, and that his attempts at terrorizing and gaslighting the "nobody" who humbled him at Nibelheim are destined to fail. Cloud, though initially shocked, does not shrink away. He narrows his gaze. He knows the fight is over before it's even begun, and proceeds to deliver his foe an absolutely merciless beatdown.

Amidst the relentless meta pookie-posting and metaphorical cheek-pinching, people forget that there's a lot of hidden rage within this character. It is not a side of his personality that he is proud of, per se. But it is clearly there. More enlightened fans will understand this implicitly. One does have to wonder what missed opportunities Square had after AC/DoC for further character development in this regard. Sadly, as of the failure of Dirge of Cerberus to meaningfully advance FFVII's story, and Square's subsequent overreliance on contentious backstory additions instead, we may never know. Still, hope remains that the fandom could help fill in the blanks from time to time.

Legend of Zelda Theme Park - Entrance & Welcome Plaza (UPDATED)

Guests arriving at the theme park pass underneath a broad arch decorated with classic LoZ characters and monsters in action poses and find themselves…nowhere special, just yet. The Welcome Plaza is a fairly simple place with only light theming, the better to let newcomers orient themselves before diving into the adventure. The features here are likewise basic and chosen to help people prep for the day ahead. On both sides of the entry gate, ambient speakers play a continuous loop of overworld and title themes from the games.

(The cross-hatched area represents behind-the-scenes office space and other employee facilities, not accessible to the public.)

Attractions

There aren’t really attractions in this area per se…the closest thing would be a number of life-sized character statues scattered around the area for people to take photos of and/or with. Each of the little Triforce symbols on the map marks the location of one of these statues, in an alcove with a scenic backdrop for the aesthetic, but those aren’t necessarily the only ones. Park employees with professional-grade cameras are stationed nearby and may offer to take high-quality photos, which will be available for purchase later in the day at the Pictobox Shop in Castle Town.

Services & Amenities

Map & Compass: An information counter where guests can pick up a park map, scan QR codes in order to download specialty apps and learn about them, check in for specific “sidequest” activities and events, and have general questions answered.

Item Check: Like Link, theme park tourists may wish to carry a large collection of items in order to be prepared for any and all circumstances that may occur during their adventure. Unlike Link, they don’t have a magic satchel that carries it all weightlessly. At Item Check (named after the similar service in Skyward Sword), you can rent a storage locker for the day to hang onto your excess gear. And speaking of rentals…

Ravio’s Rentals: Compact, lightweight strollers and wheelchairs can be rented here for a reasonable fee plus deposit. (The employee uniforms evoke Ravio’s distinctive purple robe and striped scarf.)

First Aid Station: Park nurses are on staff during operating hours to assist with minor injuries and ailments in a soothing environment with interior decor reminiscent of a Great Fairy Fountain.

Shops

5. A Hero’s Essentials: This basic shop sells bottled water, snacks, portable phone chargers, sunglasses, ponchos, souvenir tee-shirts and baseball caps, and other conventional merchandise that any tourist can find a use for.

6. Nintendo Store: The focus, obviously, is LoZ itself, but other Nintendo titles and merch can also be found here.

Eateries

There are no permanent eateries in this area, but portable carts offering soda and packaged snacks can be found throughout the open space.

I never mind kind words, anon, no matter how they come. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts!! I'm not 'into' incest, per se, but I'm also not allergic to it. The nature of a forbidden taboo of any sort does add some spice to the sex. Plus I like the challenge of taking something like that and making it something that I can personally find palatable. I'm rather finicky when it comes to my naughty reading, as you'd imagine.

And I definitely avoided dropping the words 'uncle/nephew' except for the exact moment when it would hit like a reminder at the worst possible time. A playful little "I see you" from me.

J’ai envie de faire une réponse bilingue pour une fois ! Il y a aussi une petite explication dans ce post (je suis assez fière du dernier dessin haha).

Dessiner des danseurs classiques est un exercice que j’adore et que je fais régulièrement, ça m’a beaucoup aidée pour m’améliorer en anatomie. Ce type de pose permet à la fois de travailler la musculature et le mouvement, mon but étant d’obtenir un tracé fluide et gracieux/énergique sans trop sacrifier l’exactitude anatomique.

En général quand je fais ça je m’amuse à remplacer les visages des danseurs que j’utilise comme références par ceux de personnages qui me tiennent à cœur. Je l’ai fait avec des OCs mais OoT Link et Zelda y ont eu droit également, et c’est comme ça que l’idée du ballet m’est venue :)

J’ai trouvé que l’univers de Zelda se mariait tellement bien à celui de la danse que j’ai décidé d’en faire une série complète ! Et j’ai encore pas mal d’autres dessins à venir sur le même sujet ;)

I felt like answering in French for once, but here's my reply in English! I also gave a little explanation about the origins of my ballet series here (I'm so proud of the last drawing).

Drawing ballet dancers is one of my favorite exercices and helped me get a better grasp of anatomy, I've been doing it for some time. These poses are a great way to practice both drawing beautiful muscles and fluidity (which is perfect for me cause I want flowing movement in my drawings without sacrificing anatomical exactitude).

When I practice like that I like to replace the faces of the dancers I'm drawing with those of characters I love, it makes the whole thing even more enjoyable. I did this with OCs and recently tried it with OoT Link and Zelda in the post I linked above, and that's how the idea of a LoZ ballet series came to me. I thought these two made beautiful dancers and was immediately convinced LoZ and ballet would mix perfectly ;)

There are still a few things I want to do, I'm not done with this ballet thing yet! And I'm so happy people are interested in this idea ^^
