you know the nice thing about seeing your own characters change overtime is to see how they grow from your point of inspiration to who they actually are.
but how in the ever loving land of hell and fuck did my male character go to a cassian from ACOTAR to Jaskier from The Witcher (tv series)?
how did this happen i am so confused

One of my favorite observations from this season of The Witcher is how Jaskier can adapt to different personas depending on the people he interacts with, all while remaining true to his core self.
When it comes to Yennefer, Jaskier becomes the confidant she can fully trust. Despite their limited interactions throughout the season, it is evident that Yennefer confides in him. In one particular scene from season two, Yennefer opens up to Jaskier about losing her magic. Instead of mocking her, Jaskier responds with nothing but empathy and compassion. This proves to Yennefer that she can trust him, even though they may bicker like siblings at times.
For Ciri, Jaskier takes on the role of the fun uncle. Their relationship is built on playful banter, mocking others like Geralt and Yennefer and enjoying card games together. But amid the playfulness, there are also tender moments where Jaskier encourages Ciri and sings her lullabies before bedtime. Their dynamic revolves around bringing smiles to each other's faces.
With Geralt, Jaskier is not only his best friend but also provides a dose of comic relief. Whenever they are together, Jaskier adopts a more goofy and lighthearted persona. This deliberate choice is because Jaskier knows that Geralt tends to brood and he wants to show him that there is still goodness in the world. Even when it seems that their friendship is questioned, Jaskier's quick offense is followed by a joke, indicating his unwavering loyalty and desire to lighten the mood.
In essence, Jaskier's ability to adapt his role based on the needs of the people around him showcases his emotional intelligence and understanding of their unique personalities. Yet, beneath these varying personas, he remains the same loyal and caring friend to each of them.

I just recently rewatched the Witcher and WOLF WITCHER DEREK HALE and jaskier coded Stiles. I absolutely love the witcher and teen wolf and their ideas kinda overlap.
Geralt and Derek have to same character dynamic —Grumpy, I could kill you on sight, only soft for one person, enough gulit in their shoulders to kill atlas. But in the end a good person who wants to be good, (Derek wanting to be a good alpha, Geralt wanting to be a knight)
Stiles and jaskier have the same coded character, uses a mask to hide the real him in public, cunning and smart, sarcastic little shits, someone who has an infinite patience for a grumpy man.
I’m going to go a little off script because although derek and stiles fit the mold of the character archetypes they would have different backgrounds/motives
So for Derek I’m picturing:
maybe he was from a rich family that were killed by the Argents (Kate 🤢) and he goes to Kaer Morhen (the wolf school) and goes through the trails. Boys his age don’t really survive the trails so the fact that he did made him the strongest to survive so they put him through the trails again making him the “alpha”. The hale pack Erica, Boyd, and Issac were also from the wolf school. He later gets called “the butcher” after he finds Kate later on and kills he and a few knights.
Or
He was dropped off at the wolf school as a child and Talia takes him under her wing as he goes through the mutagen’s that turn him into a Witcher. Kate is one of the witches that are working on the boys, she manipulated him and uses him to sack Kaer Morhen leading to the death of most of the hale pack. Peter goes feral and he is forced to put him down leading to the nickname butcher.
For Stiles there are many different option one could go with because although he shares many traits with jaskier I cannot see him as a bard. Maybe he’s also a Witcher from the cat school who ends up traveling with Derek after it gets a little to dangerous to as a lone Witcher.
Maybe he’s a traveling healer/herbalist/apothecary who keeps running into Derek and healing him. He graduated from Oxford, and helped smuggle out elves into safer locations(spy stiles). Maybe Derek trusts him to save him because stiles smuggled him out of an argent jail cell, a move that could have cost Stiles his life. So as a thank you Derek swears to help protect him in times of need (overprotective bodyguard Derek, my beloved). Stiles allowing Derek to play out his knight fantasy by protecting him.
“Looking after you is my duty”
“Is that the only reason you do it?” (Taken from Epic the movie)
Or maybe Stiles is a spark, he studied at one of the main mage school like Aretuza, and joined the brotherhood. While there he finds a conspiracy to create new Witcher loyal to the crown and the mage schools. One of the trails, Scott. So he grabs Scott and betrays the brotherhood, leading him to seek out Derek to help. Together with the hale pack the take down the corrupt leader and the argents.
There are so many options but the potential is so amazing!! Derek who hates everyone but stiles. The soft intimacy of their interactions. Stiles healing Derek in soft candlelight, light touches on his skin as not to overwhelm him. Derek being surround by stiles scent, a safe place to rest.
#sterek#stiles stilinski#derek hale#stiles x derek#derek x stiles#derek hale is obsessed with him#Derek loves everything thing about stiles - his scent - his intelligence- how he talk a lot#Witcher Au#the Witcher Netflix#overprotective derek hale#alpha derek hale#Geralt and Derek are the same person#so are jaskier and stiles

In almost all yennskier fics there's an element of geraskier, them being exes or Jaskier having unrequited feelings for Geralt, and while that's fine and all, I'm desperate for some fics WITHOUT geraskier, with Jaskier having to deal with all the angst that comes with being in love with your best friend's girlfriend/ex bc even if Yennefer loved him back, Jaskier is too loyal to Geralt to ever do anything about it.
Imagine them all traveling together post Voleth Meir and Jaskier and Yennefer desperately trying to hide their feelings while failing a bit more each day.
Imagine the secret lingering looks and gentle touches and maybe a kiss or two when they're left alone and can't hold back.
Imagine Jaskier writting song after song about her and having to lie when Geralt and Ciri ask who it's about. Yennefer would pretend not to know.
Imagine Jaskier going back to his usual manwhore self, sleeping with any willing person around except Yennefer and imagine Yennefer slowly giving in to Geralt's attempts to get back together, hoping her feelings for him will rekindle one day. Imagine the jealousy!

@perseruna I LISTENED!! I MANIFESTED!!
the lion, the witch, and the audacity of this bitch geralt/jaskier/yennefer ~6k, explicit. d/s, sexual roleplay, banter, erotic massage. more tags on ao3.
Trouble is afoot and it will be a long evening for the White Knight.
The White Knight has been in the Queen’s service for more than half his life. He currently stands beside her royal majesty in the throne room, bearing witness to the thorn in the Queen’s side. A thorn he will be called upon to remove.
Whether he was pushing miscreants from the kingdom with his blade, doling out punishments on behalf of the Queen, or sating her majesty’s sexual desires, the White Knight fulfilled his responsibilities every day of his life. However such consistency was not common in all of the Queen's loyal subjects.
This spy in particular, a faun with broad shoulders and a nervous smile, a tufted little goatee and soft, folded ears. He has a penchant for distracting the castle guards with jovial questions about their favorite snacks. He has often derailed the White Knight's retinue from their duties with gossip from the latest winter festival.
Mr. Tammus had come into the Queen’s service only a few short years ago. The White Knight had been on assignment looking for allies to enlist to the Queen’s service. He’d ventured into the western mountains, seeking the brawn of a clan of minotaurs. It was there that he discovered Mr. Tammus beguiling the clan leader and her grandfather with a musical jig. Mr. Tammus had accidentally broken a curse that had fouled their young with human-features. Mr. Tammus could have asked for anything from the grateful clan but instead requested only shelter and their undivided attention while he performed his latest song.
Upon witnessing Mr. Tammus’ charm on the minotaurs firsthand, the White Knight knew the faun would prove useful for the Queen’s service.
Tammus indeed proved to be a valuable asset with eyes and ears in the community and borderlands, able to strike up friendships all due to his cherub-like face and penchant for outlandish tales that could enchant anyone with ears. He found secrets and gossip in the unlikeliest of places that was useful to the Queen and her royal guard.
Yet there are times where the faun’s flightiness has tested the Queen's patience.
Which is why Mr. Tammus is currently on his knees and bowing, snowmelt slipping from his hair onto the floor. read on ao3

Hello! Thank you so much for what you do- could I please have some recs for geraskier fics where geralt is the one pining harder?
Here you go!! I wasn't sure how to categorize who was pining harder in all of these (since our boys are masters of longing lol) but these are all stories where Geralt loves Jaskier very much, and I highly enjoyed them all!
~
favorite by @asweetprologue (Rated G, 5.8k)
Jaskier gets Geralt a gift, and it makes Geralt realize he doesn't know enough about what Jaskier likes. He forms a plan to figure it out.
i’ll kiss you slow by @paintedcrayons (Rated T, 4.9k)
Geralt is not being creepy. He’s not. He’s just looking out for his friend (with a questionable choices in lovers). Lately, Geralt has started to notice the way people treat Jaskier’s affection like a means to an end. They kiss him only to move to the next step, dance with him as pretense to get him into their beds. He would like nothing more than to kiss Jaskier for the sake of it. (He does.)
time and time again by @samstree (Rated G, 5.2k)
Marriage proposals, through the years.
The Best Laid Plans by @dhwty-writes (Rated T, 5.5k)
Geralt is in love with Jaskier. In order to finally get him to admit his feelings, he devises a ten step plan with Lambert, Eskel and Vesemir.
A Friend in the Wild by @samstree (Rated G, 1.6k)
In which Geralt acquires a tiny friend who wouldn't stop following him.
Weak and Wanting by @sociallyawkward--fics (Rated T, 36k)
Geralt had thought that inviting Jaskier to Kaer Morhen after all these years would be a good thing. What he didn't plan on was his brothers deciding to have a little fun with their situation. Lambert and Eskel really needed to stop meddling in things they didn't understand, especially when it came to his bard.
Tell It With Your Heart by @bambirex (Rated G, 2.5k)
While Jaskier always says what's on his mind, Geralt works a little differently. That doesn't mean he cannot tell Jaskier how he feels - he just does that without words.
Repeat After Me by @onwardorange (Rated G, 7.3k)
All it takes is (nearly) three years, two meddlesome brothers, and one exasperated sorceress to get Geralt to admit his feelings for Jaskier.
Love Me Better, Send A Letter by @rebrandedbard (Rated T, 12.5k)
Geralt and Julian have been exchanging letters since participating in an inter-school pen pal program in high school, and Geralt has been pining away for Julian for over a decade since meeting by chance one faithful day in Posada. Between work and Ciri, he hasn't had much time for travelling, but he and Julian still exchange their letters faithfully. Finally, Julian's equally busy life coincides with Geralt's long enough for a short visit, and Geralt has the chance to finally introduce Ciri to the man she knows only on paper. Things would be perfect ... if Julian's visit didn't fall within the week of the concert of Ciri's favorite musician, Jaskier.
Music is no solution by @thecrownprincessbride (Rated T, 4.3k)
Jaskier has self-doubts, and Geralt is there for him.
A Careless Omission by @samstree (Rated T, 5.4k)
Jaskier reveals he has a type. Geralt behaves strangely.
Highway Angel (To the Dark I Said Pour and Forgot to Say When) by @fangirleaconmigo T, 2.8k
Geralt is a long haul truck driver. With long stretches on the road away from his family, and with no one to keep him company but his loyal dog Roach, he has to brave most of his life completely alone. Then one day, just as he is passing the city of Oxenfurt, he turns on the radio and hears a voice.
zero for ten by @yaelathewordsmith (Rated T, 10.4k)
The blue-eyed boy on the school's cricket team seems determined to bowl Geralt out. The worst part is, he isn't even fucking trying. * Or, the ten times Jaskier held Geralt's heart in his hands without knowing, and how Geralt grew to want him to keep it.

Prompt Geraskier - angst
Prompt: A witcher friend from Geralt's past returns… and it's like… a long-time friend, before he met Jaskier. Jaskier feels jealous once this friend joins the group. The problem is that Jaskier will discover that this friend is going to betray Geralt… he might be trying to kidnap Ciri or something… and Geralt doesn't believe him. In an fight with Jaskier, Geralt will say things like: ''I've known him for decades! (…) He's been a friend for longer than I've known you… (…) I trust him! (…) You're only with me because you want stories for your songs! (…) (Consider here that Geralt has not yet discovered that Jaskier was tortured and this could be discovered in this fic, after something that almost kills Jaskier. Leaving the witcher even more guilty. I think about Jaskier having a physical confrontation with this friend witcher. Whether it's this friend trying to eliminate the bard for being in the way and having discovered things or even Jaskier trying to confront him about the truth… or Jaskier defending Ciri or Geralt. It would be interesting for Geralt to find him hurt… after the confrontation. I imagine Jaskier is hurt, and tells Geralt to go save Ciri because this friend is after her and Jaskier says he will be fine. But we know he is very hurt. The friend may say something: ''I tried to get rid of that useless bard and in the end, he was really loyal to you''. I also think… that in some dialogue, Jaskier says to Geralt: ''You are. witchers may have been friends for a long time, but what are 20 years in a witch's life? And what are 20 years in my life?''
I adore fics where Geralt realizes that Jaskier has been tortured TWICE protecting him! I mean come on, Netflix! Other interpreations of Geralt would be sobbing shitting throwing up and Netflix Geralt is like "._." I adore the line about the difference in lifespans and what years mean to them, even if I still headcanon Jaskier finds a way to live as long as Geralt

"The Witcher season 3 gave a taste of a more serious and hurt side to Jaskier but without losing that spark and sense of humor that has made him so popular. However, being faced with a decision like choosing between continuing to help his friends and giving his relationship with Radovid a chance won’t exactly bring out his comedic side. Seeing Jaskier in pain will surely be heartbreaking, but this could also help the character’s development and growth for the final season."
"Watching Jaskier in The Witcher has been a delight, but so far, his stories have depended a lot on Geralt. The addition of Radovid and their romance gives Jaskier something that truly feels his, even if he’s still bound to Geralt’s story as his best and most loyal friend. A more serious and potentially tragic story for Jaskier in The Witcher season 4 will be good for him as it will bring out other sides of him that the show hasn’t had the chance to explore, and the heartbreak that he goes through can be beneficial to him."
"Surely, Jaskier going through a darker and more tragic story in The Witcher will be heartbreaking, but it can make the lovable bard an even better and more complex character."
hey, another positive article and from screenrant of all places and no fearmongering about radovid and their relationship, either, but rather realistic expectations and theorizing on why their relationship could be heartbreaking in future seasons (which, as joey and hugh have said, has more to do with the star-crossed nature of their relationship and how it's the circumstances of their world that's tearing them apart rather than, say, eViL GaME RaDoViD — which isn't book canon, js 💅) and how that would still add to jaskier's character growth and development regardless

@taleswritten asked
❝ i don’t like the way they keep staring at you. ❞ from geralt to jaskier
"Really? I'm used to it by now..." Jaskier's response is nonchalant, but there's an underlying edge of exasperation in his voice. Yes, there are plenty of stares to be thrown his way; Jaskier is not the typical alpha found on the Continent. He'd always been just a little smaller, a little less strong, a little less demanding and domineering than others. Jaskier is the runt of his family, and they don't often let him forget it.
But the stares aren't so much because of Jaskier being a runt alpha, they're more because of his companion. A Witcher, and an omega at that.
Geralt doesn't seem like an omega. In fact, until their scents are caught by others, many assume it is the opposite. Perhaps that's why he's so drawn to the Witcher, why he's practically pack with him, because even if there are stares, there are less so than when he's alone. He attributes Geralt's stature and intimidating looks, not typical of an omega, to the fact he is a Witcher.
It isn't as if Geralt is his omega, either, as much as he wants for it. He can't imagine that he'd be the right sort of alpha for Geralt... how can he be when he's more gentle and kind and cowardly than any decent, proper alpha should be?
Still, Geralt doesn't seem to mind his company, he might act annoyed now and again but he's always been there for the alpha. Defender and savior... isn't that what an alpha is supposed to be?
But Geralt tolerates him, and so he stays, loyal and faithful.
"Pay them no mind, Geralt. They're just jealous they don't get to sit at the cool table."

“Love sucks.” Jaskier breathes out with the stink of alcohol, half slumped against Geralt’s side. “I shall never fall in love again.”
A freshly dumped bard is a dramatic one.
“You don’t really mean that,” Geralt says gently, somewhere deep inside his chest aching at the sight of Jaskier’s sorrow.
“I do! Or at least, never with anyone cruel.” Blue eyes stare hazily, barely focusing. “I should fall for someone like you, perhaps.”
“Like me?”
“Like you. Loyal and honest. Like you. Always there for me. Yes, someone like you, like Geralt…” A sigh escapes Jaskier’s lips. “If only…”
Suddenly, Geralt can’t tell if he’s the drunk one. He pulls Jaskier closer, not sure which one of them he’s trying to steady. The heat of Jaskier’s skin burns into the barest part of his soul.
“Yes,” he murmurs, almost imperceptibly. “If only.”

Hello! I was rereading With a Conquering Air (again lol) and I never considered before the tutor before Jaskier that was menaced with a toad. I can’t see them bringing in outsiders for the job, which limits the options to a Witcher or one of the sorcerers that came with Yenn. So now I have the hilarious mental image of a loyal sorcerer/ess who generally does good work for the wolf until they have to come back to Kaer Morhen just…extremely disgruntled every time they cross paths with Ciri 😂😂😂
This may explain why two of the sorceresses who came with Yen spend all their time out on the Path!
Honestly, though, I have to admit that since With a Conquering Air was meant, initially, to be a standalone, I didn't really figure out some of the loose ends. Like, oh, who that poor tutor was.
I think everyone's glad Ciri upgraded from toads to geese. Especially the toads.

Ok, so we've established that Shifter!Geralt would most definitely turn into a wolf, but what about the others? What's your favorite?
I think Ciri would probably be a lioness cub.
Yennefer would either be a unicorn or raven as they're both associated with magic. Alternatively, she could be a big cat to match Geralt's big dog (so probably either a puma or jaguar).
Eskel and Lambert could become their schools, sure. But I'm just saying it would be REALLY funny if they became a fluffy, orange housecat (Lambert) and a bleating goat (Eskel). Eskel could also be some sort of livestock guardian dog like an Anatolian Shepherd Dog.
Jaskier could be SO many things. He could be a songbird, the most popular being a lark. He could be a parrot because they're colorful and don't know how to shut up. He could be a husky (VERY vocal and overdramatic). He could be a fox, as he's sneaky and can get into trouble. He could be a mouse or rat like his friend Gordon. He could be a cat because they're loyal and often clingy and demanding for attention, even when you don't want them to be at the moment.
The possibilities are endless!

After the mountain, rumors start to circulate that the bard Jaskier has joined hands with Nilfgaard.
The other wolves express their outrage at this betrayal, but Geralt insists that the rumors must be fake.
This leads to questions. 1) Why is Geralt’s faith in the bard so unshakable? 2) If Jaskier is so loyal, how come Geralt’s never introduced him?
It was an unseasonably warm winter day when Lambert shoved open the heavy wooden doors of Kaer Morhen, carrying none other than Jaskier over his shoulder.
“Put me down, you oaf!” Jaskier bellowed, flailing and swatting at Lambert as they entered the keep. Lambert, unimpressed, marched forward and unceremoniously dropped the bard onto the snow-dusted floor.
“Here’s your traitor,” Lambert announced, his voice sharp with disdain. “Found him cozying up with Nilfgaard.”
Jaskier scrambled to his feet, spinning around in a flustered mess. “How dare you bring me here like this!” he cried indignantly. “I demand to leave at once!”
The room fell silent. Rumors of Jaskier’s supposed allegiance to Nilfgaard had been swirling since the mountain, stoking anger among the witchers. Eskel frowned deeply, while Lambert glared, his hand inching toward the hilt of his sword.
“Enough,” Geralt said, his tone calm but firm. He stepped closer to Jaskier, scrutinizing the bard’s wild demeanor. “Jaskier,” he began cautiously, “whatever you’ve heard, whatever they’ve done to you—it’s over. You’re safe now.”
“Safe?” Jaskier scoffed, eyes wide with disbelief. “I don’t even know you! And stop calling me that ridiculous name. My name is Julian Alfred Pankratz, Viscount de Lettenhove.”
The room tensed further. Yennefer, standing off to the side, raised a brow. “Where did you find him?” she asked, her voice laced with suspicion.
“Caught him with a Nilfgaardian convoy,” Lambert replied, his anger barely restrained. He shot Geralt a pointed look. “I told you. Your bard’s a traitor.”
Eskel, his voice somber, added, “I’m sorry, Geralt, but we might have to deal with this more… permanently.”
“No,” Geralt said firmly, stepping between Jaskier and the others. “This isn’t like him. He’s stubborn, annoying, sure—but loyal. Something’s wrong. Why wouldn’t he remember me?”
“Maybe you never knew the *real* Jaskier,” Eskel muttered darkly. “Humans are rarely what they seem.”
Before Geralt could respond, Ciri broke through the circle of tension, moving toward Jaskier despite Lambert’s attempt to hold her back. She studied him closely. “Look at his eyes,” she said, her tone sharp.
“What about them?” Geralt asked.
“They’re not right,” Ciri said. “When he used to sing to me in Cintra, his eyes were blue. Now there’s pink in them.”
Yennefer’s gaze snapped to Jaskier. She crossed the room swiftly, grabbing his face despite his protests. “Hold still, little bird,” she ordered, her voice cold. Jaskier snarled at her—an uncharacteristic venom in his tone.
“Let me go, you witch!” he spat.
Yennefer ignored him, examining him closely before turning to Geralt. “It’s a love spell,” she announced, her voice grim. “Someone’s been tampering with his mind.”
The revelation hung heavy in the air, drawing a stunned silence from the room.
---
Hours later, Geralt sat beside Jaskier in one of Kaer Morhen’s smaller chambers. The bard was lying on the bed, his ankle bound to the frame with a silver chain—a compromise to satisfy the others, who still didn’t trust him. Slowly, Jaskier stirred, groaning softly.
“Oh, my head,” he muttered, blinking groggily. His gaze landed on Geralt, and his face crumpled with guilt. “You must think me awful,” he whispered. “I let myself be used by Nilfgaard.”
“You were under a spell, Jask,” Geralt said gently. “The fault isn’t yours—it’s theirs.”
A bitter laugh escaped Jaskier. “Theirs indeed. My parents, to be precise,” he said, his tone laced with resentment.
“Your parents?” Geralt repeated, stunned.
Jaskier nodded. “After the mountain, I was so angry with you—I wanted to disappear. I thought Lettenhove might be safe. Foolish, really. My parents were waiting with an arranged marriage for me. To a Grand Duke of Nilfgaard, no less.”
Geralt’s face darkened. “And when you refused?”
“They didn’t give me much choice,” Jaskier said bitterly. “I think it was a potion—in my tea, perhaps. One moment, I was myself; the next, I couldn’t think of anything but that Duke. Making him happy, obeying his every whim…” His voice cracked. “It was like I wasn’t even me anymore.”
Geralt clenched his fists, his anger simmering. “And when Nilfgaard realized who you were?”
“They saw an opportunity,” Jaskier said quietly. “They wanted to use me to get to you.”
For a moment, neither spoke. Then Geralt leaned forward, pressing a gentle kiss to Jaskier’s forehead. “You’re safe now,” he said softly.
Jaskier let out a shaky breath. “I hope so,” he murmured. “Because I don’t think I can survive being their pawn again.”

The Stag and the Warbler
Pairing: Jaskier/Dandelion x Witcher!Reader.
Summary: The bard has written a song about you. And it has given you a lot to think about.
Author's note: It's a late night thought I've had for a while. Jaskier has always been my favorite character in both the Witcher games, books and the tv show. I wanted to give him a bit of honor by writing this :) —also a little Skyrim reference cuz im not creative in song writing.
Warning: platonic love, fluff, kind of a bittersweet ending.
As Jaskier strummed the strings of his lute, he hummed the tune of a popular ballad. "Our hero, our hero, claims a warrior's heart…" he sang but then paused mid-verse, his forehead creasing in concentration. "I tell you, I tell you, the Witcher comes- no, that does not sound so good," he muttered.
You couldn't help but chuckle at him. You busied yourself with grooming your loyal steed, Melorax. The horse stood still, contentedly munching on bits of hay. While you brushed off dust and dirt from his coat, you could see the tiny frown written on Jaskier's face as he tried to come up with a better verse for his song.
Curious, you asked him, "Who is this hero exactly?"
Jaskier looked up, glad for the distraction. "Ah, well," he said, his fingers stilling on the lute. "It's just a tale, my friend. A story of a brave warrior who fights for justice and honor."
You nodded, understanding the stories that Jaskier shared with you during your travels as a Witcher. Tales like these were always inspiring and entertaining. Jaskier had been your companion for quite a while now, and you had grown fond of his musical talents and witty banter. He would often compare your kinder nature to his friend Geralt, who hailed from a different Witcher school whom you had heard of but never met. After grooming Melorax, you approached the front of the horse and kissed his soft muzzle. The horse whinnied softly, and you smiled at him, feeling content.
"You know I just hunt monsters for coin," you recall, sitting near him as you started the small bonfire.
"Well, yes. But, Y/n of Verden makes a good song subject. Don't you think?" Jaskier smiled widely at you as you put your hands near the fire for warmth. His fingers began strumming on his lute, calmly humming with the tune of his renowned instrument.
You began to listen closely. "With a silver sword gleaming and signs so fierce and cold…" Jaskier sang, "Believe, believe, the Stag of Verden has told."
"Stag?" You asked sheepishly, looking over at him with an expression of confusion.
"Umm… do you prefer to be called deer?" Jaskier asked sheepishly.
"Just confused with the Stag part…" you replied.
"Well, you remind me of a stag."
"How so?" You asked.
"Well, you're strong, very resilient, and almost similar to that of a protector of the realm," Jaskier beamed with poetic pride.
Upon hearing those words, a sense of pride and appreciation washed over you. It was rare for a Witcher to receive such positive recognition, as they are empty vessels of beings whose sole purpose was to slaughter monsters and collect payment. Being regarded as a hero was a new and unexpected experience for you. However, it was evident that most people still saw you as an exterminator who only existed to rid the world of dangerous pests rather than a true hero. All you let out was a slight chuckle.
Jaskier turned his head towards you, and his eyes met yours. He noticed the corners of your mouth curling up, and your eyes sparkled. Curious, he leaned slightly to his right and tilted his head, trying to catch a glimpse of what had caused this reaction in you. "What's so funny, Y/n?" he asked, his voice full of genuine interest and amusement.
"Oh, nothing," you jested. With a look of concern on the bard's face, he turned his gaze back towards his musical instrument, the loot. He asked in a questioning tone, "Is there something wrong with my song? Don't you like it?"
"I assure you that I like it," you said to the worried songwriter before returning to warm your hands by the fire. "Please continue."
Jaskier's face lit up with joy as he responded, "As you wish." He meticulously plucked the strings of his lute, producing a melody that seemed to flow effortlessly from his fingers. His body swayed with the rhythm, and it was clear from his performance that he was a true virtuoso of his craft.
"In the heart of the woodlands, where shadows dance and play Beware, beware, the Stag is on her way For monsters she'll conquer, with every foe she'll slay
You'll know, you'll know, the Stag brings light to the gray."
You were captivated as the bard plucked at the strings of his lute, his voice soft and sweet as honey. The music wrapped around you like a warm embrace, easing the tension in your body and calming your mind. The bard's songs were beautiful masterpieces of melody and meaning. What impressed you the most was how his music seemed to capture the essence of the world around you, bringing to life the sights and sounds of your travels in a way that words alone never could. Being a Witcher often meant living a life of solitude and danger. It made you feel isolated and alone. But having the bard by your side changed everything. His easy conversation and quick wit were a constant source of comfort and amusement, and you eagerly looked forward to every new adventure with him by your side.
By the end, you knew you could never repay the bard for all he had given you, but you were grateful nonetheless.
"You know one thing," you thought to him, "you remind me of a Warbler."
The bard chuckled at you with his sweet smile, "a warbler?"
"Yeah, those birds that sing a lot," you recalled.
As you reminisce about your childhood, your mind wanders back to when you were a young girl, growing up in a Witcher school. Life wasn't easy for you, especially since you were a frail child with a mother who struggled to provide for you. Days at school could be long and tiring, and you often find yourself exhausted by the end of them.
One particular memory that stands out to you is the sound of the Warblers that would perch on the window sill of your room. Their melodic songs would echo through the walls, piercing your ears and keeping you awake at night. You would try to drown out the noise by covering your ears with your pillow, but it was no use - the Warblers always seemed to find a way to sing their way into your thoughts. Despite the annoyance they caused, however, you couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort and familiarity in their presence. After all, they had been a constant presence in your life for as long as you could remember.
"They were annoying when I was young," You scoffed playfully, "I hated listening to them sing whenever I wanted some peace. Now that I'm older, I wish they still sang to me," you look at the burning bonfire as the warmth engulfed the front of your body. “I like your songs, jaskier, even if you played the same tune for a week. I won’t get tired of you.”
"Huh…" Jaskier gave your statement some thought, "I've never had anyone think of me that way." He sat over next to the fire, feeling a bit cold.
"Why? May I ask," You cocked a brow at him.
"I'm a bit of an exasperation and––" Before Jaskier could continue, he stopped himself. He could ruin his godly reputation in front of you, and he did not want that.
"A skirt-chaser?" You continued.
"Oh- No, no, not that," you can sense the embarrassment that overcame his confidence.
"right, alright," A mischievous chuckle escaped your lips as you heard the mention of the notorious bard. His reputation preceded him, and you couldn't help but be amused. Word on the street was he had a knack for breaking up marriages or being the third person for sleeping with married men's wives. You won't deny it. Jaskier was handsome and quite the romantic.
The atmosphere was serene as if the world had a standstill. Not a sound except for the gentle rustling of leaves as the wind passed through the trees. "Can you sing me a song, Jaskier?" You asked, "Please?"
As Jaskier continued his endless string of tales, you couldn't help but politely express your reluctance to hear more. In response, Jaskier flashed a sweet smile and said, "Yes, you may, Y/n."
One day, Jaskier won't be around you. One day, you won't ever see him again, and it will be just you and Melorax on the lonely road. It could happen tomorrow, or it could be years from now. You tried not to dwell on that possibility, but it was always there lingering at the edges of your consciousness. But that did not matter now. It was a love that grew deep inside you that you have never felt. It's a companionship that was a strange yet familiar feeling. One day, he will see you as a monster like everyone else did when they saw you. Despite this, You listened intently to his stories and musings, even when they seemed nonsensical or meandering. You laughed at his jokes and marveled at his wit. You knew these moments were precious, and you never took them for granted because you will never know when that moment will end.
A/n: hey guys :) I apologize if my interpretation of Jaskier and the Witcher universe had errors. I was busy with school to read the books and watch the show for extra context and accuracy and did this all by itself. Overall, im unite happy with how this turned out.

Coin, Peace, and Quiet
RatedE
“Jaskier,” he tries, collecting the man’s boots and crouching to shove them on. “Get up. I’ve got something to make you feel better.”
Jaskier does not get up. Instead, his hand appears from inside, just like the foot, palm facing up.
“Give it ‘ere,” he mumbles from deep within. “I think I’m going to throw up.”
Smiling despite himself, Geralt hands over the vial, waiting as Jaskier scrabbles and untangles and his head is finally freed. His long hair is mashed against his cheek on one side and sticking up on the other. Blue eyes hide behind lids stuck closed with sleep. He downs the tonic in one go. Grimaces. Tips his head back and howls.
“Oh, Gods! Can’t you add some sweetener of some kind? Any kind? I’ve seen honeycombs in the lab! Don’t tell me you bastards literally have no taste.”
Geralt may have chuckled. Impossible to tell over the man’s caterwauling. He pushes to his feet and flings aside the furs.
“Get up. I’ve something else that will help.”
Jaskier complains, loudly, as he follows Geralt out of the castle. He shields his eyes from the sunlight, throws his cloak over his face like a toddler woken from a nap. The tonic has cured him of sickness, both in stomach and head (mostly). Geralt doesn’t allow the man any pity as he hoists him onto Roach’s back.
“You expect me to be able to ride in my condition?”
Geralt mounts Vesemir’s horse, collects the reins, and clicks for Roach to follow. He says nothing other than ‘Hm’ as they trek across the mountainside.
His patience has begun to grow thin by the time they arrive, but he knows he will never lose it again. Jaskier is annoying and chatty and dramatic and foolish. But he is also brave and loyal and strangely alluring.
Geralt dismounts and ties the horses to a tree, then pushes Jaskier off Roach to the ground with a smile. The man lands in a pile of snow, surprised and disgusted. But as Geralt loosens the animals’ girths and removes saddles and straightens rugs over sweaty coats, Jaskier catches sight of the unfrozen water.
“Is that —?” He struggles to his feet, mouth wide open and blessedly silent. He takes a step away from the horses, then looks back, stunned. “Is that —?”
Geralt cannot help but laugh. “Take off your clothes and get in, you boozing sot. It’ll do you good to have a bath.”
Jaskier blinks for a few long seconds before enthusiastically ripping off his cloak and boots. He strips none too gracefully, nearly falls face first, naked, in the snow. But soon he’s tiptoeing painfully across the icy rocks and into the volcanic heated water of the hot spring.
Geralt does not shy from studying the man’s arse. It’s soft and jiggly in all the right places, hard and muscular everywhere else. This isn’t the first time they’ve bathed together, and it won’t be the last. It’s just the first time since Geralt’s epiphany.
“Oh, oh, oh, oh,” Jaskier moans as his tall, lithe body disappears beneath the surface. He sinks to his knees and water flows over the deep crevice in his back. “Oh, Witcher, you cruel, cruel monster you.” He turns. Water pools and eddies around him. “Why haven’t you brought us here before?”
Geralt pulls off his boots, discards the cloak and slides the shirt up and over his head. He collects Jaskier’s clothing into one arm with his own, following the trail to the water’s edge. The rocks are covered with thick layers of ice. Steam lifts from the spring’s surface. It slows as it rises, curling white around Jaskier’s head and shoulders. It causes his eyes to appear even more blue than ever, and halts Geralt’s forward progress for the pool.
Jaskier smiles, looking half-drunk still, taking in what he can of the Witcher’s exposed skin. His gaze ends at Geralt’s feet, bare in the snow, sunk to the ankles. It lingers there for a few moments before drifting back to Geralt’s face. His expression grows serious.
“No need for modesty, Geralt,” he says, averting his eyes. He swipes long fingers just under the surface of the water. “We’re friends. Aren’t we.”
It’s not a question, it’s a statement of fact. Jaskier has unequivocally forgiven him without Geralt saying the words aloud.
The Witcher removes the rest of his clothing, lays everything out over the spread of his cloak in the snow. He joins Jaskier at the deepest part of the pool, keeping enough distance between them to allow Geralt to think. The acceptance in Jaskier’s voice is something he wasn’t prepared for. It will require taking a different path.
Ripples radiate outward from the former Bard’s body, chest heaving above water. A tentative smile returns to his face and he meets Geralt’s eyes without fear.
“Yes. Of course we’re friends,” the Witcher affirms. Something flutters inside his chest. Something else closes his throat.
Suddenly Geralt is very aware that what he feels for Jaskier is definitely not what he thought.

At first I wanted to show you just a fragment, but I liked seeing these guys together so much that I decided to publish the entire composition of " The Heat". And the profiles of Veronica and Vincenzo are open to donators and patrons) Ronnie is our favorite kitty, guys, a super-talented girl, whom they cherish and carry in their arms (in general, she would also wear them in her arms, but it’s difficult when you are not so tall , and they arerather tall, and so the level of adoration is the same ). Responsible for the drums. And Enzo is the local Jaskier. Bassist. He is sincerely in love with every lady he meets, he is friendly, talkative, loyal to His Highness Valente and does not recognize any other family except the band (and the guitar). "The Heat" is a collective image of many rock bands, individual performers and, in some places, simply outstanding personalities of related industries (fashion, cinema). So Ronnie combines the features of the Avril Lavigne, the grandiose Vivienne Westwood, Taylor Momsen, Miley Cyrus, Marilyn Monroe, Victoria De Angelis, of course, and others. Enzo, in general, is the very person that appears before the eyes of many, when someone pronounce the phrase "goth-metal guy". This is how he immediately appears to very thin, with smokey eyes, long black hair and a guitar. Only unlike this image, Vincenzo's character is eerily cheerful) The only one who has at least a plus or minus face that looks like one person, and not like a mosaic, is David. But I have already told you about David, why he is like that.
