#brienne of tarth #asoiaf #mine.#u know literally just as i finished colouring this i found that some theater made an opera version of this batb #and they made belle's dress BLUE...which is a win for me and also not bc they made it light blue #but here it's supposed to be velvet.. idk if it comes across as velvet but that's the fabric of choice lol.#but im gonna ramble because i really like the concept... i love brienne in pearls!! i feel like pearls will be her jewellery of choice #and i talked abt this before in some post but i think tarth regalia would have a lot of pearls just bc they're an island #and i think they would export pearls alongside marble lol #i love brienne in silver and pearls BUT the reason why the flower thing on her cape is gold bc in the film #the pearl chain was actually a gift from the beast. so she's wearing jaime's gift. and i made the cape more silvery white (leaning on white #to resemble his cloak so it's like... jaime gifting her his white cloak..... hihihIHIHIhhihihihihi......#tbh i drew that concept before too BUT I JUST LIKE IT!!!!!!!! i want it to happen actually....please....thank u..#also the feathers in her hair is bc i want to accessorize her in a brienne way BUT ALSO supposed to be like the plumes knights wore in thei #helm. she's wearing trousers in the fit btw only the upper half of the design is based on beauty but the silhouette mimics beasts' more.#but anyway i really like this design!! bc it's a bit ott but also not in a way that seems out of character for her? idk LOL

No but like every time I think about Splinter and what he had to go through just to keep the boys alive, my heart hurts for him so badly. Is he perfect? No not at all, but none of them are and by god does he love his sons.

The fact that all of them are alive, and grew to thrive despite the circumstances surrounding them is a testament of how much Splinter loves his boys. He raised four babies following the most traumatic time of his life, all alone with nothing but the sewers to house them (to hide them.) I feel like he’s not given the credit he deserves for all he’s done.

And I get that it’s easy to hold up his flaws and faults when it comes to parenting, I myself like looking into them because flawed characters are super interesting and said flaws make them more realistic and engaging, but he tries, and again, so many others would have given up on the boys or failed along the way but Splinter didn’t.

He’s their father, for all his faults he did his damndest to make sure they survived.

the way that diff languages sound r so fascinating they're all different and all so vivid

#russian is like the surface of a feather like it's light but not exactly “soft” but still very delicate #german is . cute ? i think it's adorable . it has a lot of momentum it makes u wanna talk fast and talk a lot #like it's squishy . sleek surface w a soft inside #thai is like song . it's like interprative dance or maybe a trust-fall . everything follows from the previous thing #it feels like a little fairy flying up and letting itself fall and flying up again and so on (for fun). its so beautiful but also playful #mandarin chinese is like . idk why but it gives me the same vibe the concept of Observation does . like to read and to see and absorb #and then to translate that into smth else . like . imagine a poet people watching or an artist preparing a canvas w practiced hands. thats #the vibe. soft and elegant and musical but like...in a way that feels lived-in. arabic feels wise ? like music or poetry u read #and feel nothing about then years later u stumble on and it applies to everything in ur life. that kind of vibe. like it knows more than u #and itll make sure ur heart and soul grows as big as its lexicon . polish is like snowflakes falling . it has the feeling of complexity and #elegance but it's also so so light and slippery and...maybe not elusive but the feeling of losing a dance partner in a waltz ? like fun and #light but also an underlying elegance and somberness still . turkish is like the feeling when u get a text from ur crush #and your heart tightens and you cant tell if it's really painful or really amazing . it feels like unrequited love . or a caress #or making out with someone when you know its the last time you'll see them. its beautiful in a yearning longing way #korean is like joking around w ur friends and you've stayed up until like almost 5 AM and youre so delirious that everything is funny #and ur speaking kind of lightly and openly and everything you say holds a lot of weight and doesnt matter at all. you laugh at everything #and youre practically talking in inside jokes and watching the sunrise together . one of them hits u on the shoulder lovingly. ur by a fire #yoruba feels like the metatheory of the matatheory . abstraction until it circles back to intuition or maybe #it feels like plotting the route of a comet or maybe like the soft warm whirr of statistics. trying to verbalise beauty somehow #when you know the best thing you can show it is by telling everyone just look!! look at the sky just look!#anyway yh i think i could do this for every language ever tbh

Had. An extremely funny vision to revamp Moe's staff.

The design isn't super final, I can never really decide how I want the accents to look... trying to keep them in line with how the Askr trio's weapons look. Especially the signature color magic glow that's present in their special arts!!!

Anna has it too!!!!! You just don't see it bc her art gets cut off in game. Also, additional image bc you don't see the handle v well in her special.

Which is why, here, the green gem is most prominent on Moe's weapon.... geen....... idk if I'm keeping the other ones that look like the summoning circle orbs. It was just something I wanted to try out!

BUT. BUT. The Main Idea here is that Moe added its own touch to the staff. Yeah, the dangly halo was a Neat idea, but this concept is just so much funnier to me..... says SO much about Moe as a character... it is ALWAYS. Making and customizing things. I can also see Moe using the carabiner practically as well! Now, I wonder why it held onto those two feathers in particular... 🤔

Today is a draw Dionysus kind of day. I've been meaning to adjust his design a bit to fit his concept a little better (Though really, I just want to draw him with his ivy braid). Feels like a good excuse to experiment more with some brushes too.

also that dreamworks for some reason tend to peak on their second movie. like i dont think a lot of movies need sequels but they really make the 1st movie a movie to set concept and then BANG out a second movie that goes CRAZY

(kung fu panda, shrek, puss in boots. i mean its not a lot but weird to happen a couple of times when it really shouldnt in any right BE SO PHENOMENAL)

oops, got myself thinking again about byan having a little hoard of weird and random trinkets and shiny things hidden away under their bed in the same way that some cats have collections of bottle caps under furniture.

like, none of it is particularly meaningful and they don't wear any of the jewelry that's under there, but they like to pull it all out once in a while to look at and are always adding more

#there's a lot of jewelry but there's a lot of other shiny things and weirder stuff too #like there's a heart shaped rock they stole from someone in elementary and some pretty feathers they've found on the ground #but then there's also a wrapper from a cute snack they had and a bone from some random animal they found in a park #colourful buttons and cute ribbons and a trading card from a game they've never played #and probably also a pink bottle cap tbh #literally just a random collection of Stuff they like but have no use for #it's a collection they've had to rebuild a few times too #bc staff/caretakers at the group home(s) would find it all sometimes and throw away whatever looked like junk or trash #tbh it's a collection they still have and add to even after they move in w sol and start sharing a bed #and they still keep it under the bed ofc bc it's habit at this point and honestly I'm not so sure they've even told him it's there 🤔#...im rambling bc I'm kinda buzzed but like. idk I love byan and their pile of random shit #I think part of what got them started was want to actually Have Things bc they grew up not having much #and they would ABSOLUTELY get jealous of kids at school who had all kinds of belongings #who could have coherent collections and all the cool toys and shit #so they just started collecting anything that caught their eye #even if it was labels off of bottles or those cheap erasers shaped like animals or food or w/e that don't actually erase anything #and it's a habit that persisted after they started stealing basically anything they wanted/needed #and will continue to persist even once they have a job and money to buy what they want #god I kept rambling even after trying to wrap things up smh #this is the shit I'm talking about when I say I have weirdly specific and detailed thoughts about inane and unimportant aspects of byan #━━ ˟ ⊰ ✰ ooc ⋮ don’t @ me.
