#loveyourancestors Today I will show you my maternal grandmother Elvira Teresa. She was a single mother who had 7 children and some miscarriages. In her life she got 4 men (that we know of) . Let's say she had many love to give 😂. Although one of the men was married she really fell in love with all of them. When my mother ashed why she had so many children from different fathers she said "All I did was running after happiness" and I know she didn't regretted, she wanted love❤️ She never gave a son or a daughter. They all lived in a small attic but she worked her butt off to provide food to her children's who also started to work early. She would not eat to feed her children's. At night she still had strength to sing a song to help them to fall asleep (They all slept in the same bed.) She died in this day on 1998 of a lung cancer. She never smoke in her entire life. All I want to say to her is: Granny I know we didn't passed many time together but I admire your strength and thank you for your hard work. You did well. She was known for being a very nice and big heart woman. She was also very beautiful as you can see in the photograph taken in Nido Cuervo, a neighborhood from Gáldar, Spain, 1940s. I'm in love with our movement of #loveyourancestors More and more people are sending the pictures of their ancestors and it's amazing to see the love you all have for your ancestors even when sometimes you didn't met them. So, @colorfulhistory sent me this precious photograph of their great great grandparents named Frank and Nellie Belle! Frank immigrated to the United States of America with his father (from Czech Republic) and met Nellie in America( her home land). This photo was taken for their marriage in 1917. @colorfulhistory said :" When I first saw the photo, I was blown away by how much my grandmother looks like Nellie Belle. I edited and colored the photo; I obviously never met them but I can’t help but feeling a great deal of love for them. Especially Nellie 💜" It's amazing isn't it? You can feel the love in her comment. And it's amazing to feel love for your ancestors when you never met them. I myself I love my great grandmother Laura but I never met her, but it's like I have a strong bow with her. #loveyourancestors The oldest ancestors photograph I have. The woman in the picture is my great great grandmother who was born in 1858. Her name was Elvira. She died in 1920s. And she had 17 childrens! Yes. I'm not joking guys I have the Baptism certificate of all of them. 😂😂 Unfortunately her life wasn't easy because she lost many of those children. Some died when they were still babies others as children. The conditions they live in weren't the best ones. But she was know as my great great grandfather for not giving up! And I'm here today! Another picture of my ancestors (maternal side) in finals 1930s. Left to right: My grandmother Elvira Teresa, my great-grandmother Laura, Alberto (younger son of Laura and Manuel), Manuel my great-grandfather, and Celeste (their older daughter). I believe my great-grandmother was pregnant of a young girl here. That girl was named Helena and unfortunately died when she was only 2 years old. 😔 They have many pictures on the beach.
