Only Friends Episode 4 - Emergency Contact

Where very much needed conversations between most of the casts are done. And the water becomes murkier with even more messy connections and entangled characters. This is me again just trying to process what I saw and keeping my thoughts straight before the next episode

Mew and Ray

Well, we learn more about Ray and why he is fixated with Mew. I feel like he has put Mew up in this pedestal of a perfect man/friend. Ray seems to have an obsessive personality and he has the need to be taken care of, which Mew has done so far as his closest friend, bar from one aspect - the one as a lover, and now with Top in the picture, he feels neglected somehow. It doesn’t help his poor self-esteem or his lonely soul.

Khaotung as usual nailed it with his opening performance of someone who was (may still be?) suicidal, using prescription pills and alcohol to numb his sorrows and loneliness. Mew being his emergency contact because he truly has nobody in his corner - no other close friends (maybe Chuem? certainly not Boston), an absent father and a dead mom (who we also learn probably don’t love him when she was alive, and Ray blaming himself for her death 🥲). And so, when Mew saved Ray that night, fiercely reminding him “I’ll always be in your corner. I love you, all our friends love you”, I don’t blame Ray for ditching Sand that night (he could have explain and handle it better but Ray as we now know is a disaster muffin 😫).

In some way, Ray is immature. He loves wholeheartedly but also selfishly, which in turn means he sometimes makes questionable decisions. Like him kissing Mew without consent? - a big 🚫🙅🏾‍♀️.

And I’m glad Mew called him out for it. It was a needed scene. Khao and Book handled the scene impeccably (both the aftermath and Ray’s subsequent sincere apology to Mew in the latter apartment). Similarly, I’m glad Mew made it clear to Ray while he will always think Ray as his dearest friend, that’s all they will ever be - yes it’s heartbreaking for Ray, but it’s a step for Ray to hopefully move forward, although I doubt he will be able to forget Mew as his first love/crush quickly, and my worry is as the episodes progresses and we see RaySand blossoming while TopMew in crisis - Mew calling Ray for help, the latter may again drop Sand (unintentionally or not) like a hot coal 🙃….

Ray and Sand

Which brings us to my bias couple 😅….Sand was absolutely in his rights to ignore Ray’s messages after being ditch like that on the night. He has enough self-awareness about his burgeoning feelings for Ray but knows Ray is not ready for it (he may not know about Mew (yet),but Ray’s immaturity and selfish nature means Sand is wary to start anything deeper).

But well, we all know Ray is a persistent gremlin and he is a sweet charmer when he wants to be. Paired that with his effective puppy eyes (gawd…I think we have seen it in effect 3-4 times now!!!), and Sand fold each time (I don’t blame you sir! 😂)

My favourite scenes from this episode (which I’m sure hold true for most SandRay bias) will have to be the guitar 🎸 shop and music record store scenes. The whole conversation between Sand and Ray in the guitar shop was 👌👌👌- Sand making it clear he is uncomfortable with Ray throwing money around, bluntly saying friendship and love cannot be bought and Sand advising Ray should be mindful of other people’s feelings. But we are again reminded how low Ray’s self-esteem is that he asked Sand to yell at him as a “burden to the society”, thinking it will make Sand forgive him. And when Sand does the opposite, I think there is a genuine surprise from Ray, which brought upon the soft scene of which we see Ray admits he cares about Sand feelings, wanting to make amend…

And then we penned to the music store scene where further much needed conversation between these 2 happen - that whole conversation about fav band and music was 🫶. As a metaphor of Ray being stuck and living the past, never taking the opportunity to embrace the future or open up to his present (with Sand again gently but firmly pointing it to him).

Plus the whole scene of them listening to the music record, sneaking glances at each other and their fingers gradually drifting closer while eventually intertwining 🥰🥰🥰(First killed it with his yearning and soft eyes in this episode, and Khao’s genuine smile light up his whole face - I’m a goner for these 2 🫠)

We finished this episode with Ray now focusing all his energy in wooing Sand (do I think it means he has forgotten Mew as his first love?Not really, and I think that will be a contentious matter once Sand finds out, and I still think Ray alcoholism +/- drug habits will also rear its ugly head soon. Because as we can see, Ray has no interest at present to change or confront his trauma. For now, he is using Sand as a substitute (if I can put it this way? To run away from his problem and loneliness). But I have faith these 2 will hopefully come out relatively unscathed 🤞

Mew and Top

Sigh…these 2 are so sweet together with Top always so attentive towards Mew. And I do feel he genuinely likes Mew. And Mew likes Top (he said it himself to Ray, Top is the first person his heart beat faster for). But urghhhh, Top’s lies are piling up. Not only did he betray Mew with Boston (and yes he regret it, but he didn’t come clean about the incident, even after finding out MewRay had done nothing more than 1 kiss TWO years ago). He also lied about Beam and his drug habits until Mew pressed it out of him. And yeah, I wasn’t a fan of the whole Top saying he wants a reward if he gave up his drug habits, suggestively indicating to Mew what he truly wanted was the sexual relationship he desired and up until recently being denied. And even when Mew said “no penetration”, he sneakily then volunteer another tidbit about his ex, trying to persuade Mew not to worry about the past.

You know, Mew’s list of what he thinks make a good partner/BF - I don’t think Top filled any of it (he doesn’t get along will ALL of Mew’s friend - Ray being the prime example and Mew knows this, he can see the tension and snide comments whenever these 2 interacts, he doesn’t respect Mew and he had lied countless of times 😩😣).

But I guess, love is blind and Mew may think he can change Top’s behaviour? (Kudos to Force and Book though, their actings were also amazing to watch! Can’t believe a sweetie like Force acting so arrogantly on screen that it made me want to throw my remote to the TV👌)

Top and Boston

Which then comes to Top and his strenuous relationship with Boston. If anything, I’m at least glad Top expressed his regret about his lapse of judgment - having that ill-advised encounter with Boston. And I’m so glad he finally confronted Boston in the lift, putting a stop on Boston frankly disgusting behaviour (isn’t it twice now he sexually harassed Top? Once in the shower cubicle when he said No as well). No means No and Boston doesn’t seem to have learn his lesson (which frankly worries me about his other sexual conquests, are they all consensus??? And now we learn his father is into politics, so a scandal of any sorts by Boston will be a disaster; plus him taking pictures/videos without consent, like what he did with RayMew and using it to spin a web of lies on Top - yeah this guy is a massive red flag 🚩)

Boston and Nick

Another big sigh from me. Nick is now realising how much of an asshole Boston can be, but I guess Boston has never really hid his intention. He has bluntly told Nick that he is not looking for a relationship - at most, FWB and I don’t think he promise exclusivity as well. Boston is promiscous and proud of it - his friends know it, and even Sand as an outsider has heard of his reputation.

But what I’m truly devastated for Nick is that how manipulative Boston can be. He knows how to twist words and sweet talk to placate Nick (not that Nick is trying hard to go against him because he loves Boston even if everyone of us here can agree he deserves better 😣). Boston gives false sense of hope to Nick, in order to basically have someone at his back to fulfill his sexual needs. Does that mean Boston stop his other “relationship?” I don’t think so, in fact, I won’t be surprised if he had other sexual partners (other than Nick) going on at the same time.

We can also agree Nick is not truly innocent in all of this mess - his obsessive love for Boston is spiraling out of control and bringing the worst in him. Him bugging Boston’s car? (A big 🙅🏾‍♀️), and then snooping on Boston’s phone (also not good behaviour). Plus, him listening to the sound of TopBoston going at it in his room (yeah..that’s a worrying sign 😫)…

(Again kudos to Neo and Mark, they played their roles 🫡🫡🫡 that I’m cursing everytime Boston opened his mouth and shaking my head whenever these 2 are on screen 😅)

Nick and Top

Which brings to the scene of Nick confronting Top, asking Top to stop meeting Boston. And when Top clarified and say, it has always been Boston who did the chasing despite Top being uninterested, well…you can see Nick face fell.

And Top giving some advice on how Nick should be careful with Boston as he is truly a piece of work (well, it’s warranted but it’s like the pot calling kettle black, yeah?)

However, I think it’s truly sad (and quite ominous) when Nick calmly say he knows how nasty Boston can be, because he is nasty too (is that a foreshadow that Nick will seek revenge and destroy Boston’s future? esp now we know Boston dislikes getting his pictures taken with Nick for the fear of the scandal ruining his dad’s political aspiration??)

Top and Sand

It’s alluded in previous episodes that these 2 had a connection. And now we know, Top seduced (Is that the right word for it?) Sand’s ex. Sand is obviously still bitter about it but I’m thinking if your ex dump you for someone like Top, Sand is better off without him (just saying 💁‍♀️). But I am curious if the ex will come crawling back to Sand and cause havoc in SandRay newly blossoming relationship??? Or even to TopMew? - Esp with Top finally informing Mew about Boeing (seriously what’s with Thai’s nickname??? I snorted when Top said this out loud), an ex who gave him the plane model, which Top reassure Mew is no longer of consequence (if he is not that important, why did Top keep the plane? I might be wrong but I do think Boeing is the ex of both Sand and Ray??)

Sand and Nick

Ahhhhh, finally with all the headaches and mess from the rest of the characters, I’m glad to see some friendly, brotherhood like relationship between at least 2 of the characters 🥹🥹🥹🥹

I love their easy banter and the way they tease each other about their crushes (although said crushes are essentially disastrous in different ways). In a way, both Sand and Nick are also lonely individuals (or at the very least, we don’t see much outside of Sand/Nick working in their respective jobs and uni (presumably). So, having a genuine friendship that is not complicated - 🙌 I am super glad for them!!!

(Also, I’m still petitioning for Sand at some stage to go all protective bear on Nick and use the baseball bat that we saw in the pilot trailer to destroy Boston +/- Top’s car(s)?)

AS FOR A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SILLIES :DD

Sir Pleiades: Ultimately Immortal (which is basically a fancy way to say he cannot die ever no matter what and will even survive the Heat Death of the Universe), he's kind, caring, elegant, but really cocky and boastful. He can be scary serious when he wants and is kind of a mad psychopath, but he bottles all his anger up to look 'normal' and so he mostly appears as a very calm individual. He deeply cares about those whom he holds close to his heart and is willing to take any risk for them. Also teasing is his love language (both platonic and romantic) and, being a Demigod, he possesses multipurpose stardust magic (he can use it for object summoning, self-healing and even some brief variant of teleportation) and has a super strong sense of intuition and instinct.

Blossom Dee: Mute tiny little gremlin <3 she's canonically 8cm tall and an eternal toddler, and even though she can't speak herself, she understands others perfectly and can write basic words out using flower petals; she's also able to pick up on social cues quite well. She loves sweets and often has huge sugar rushes (not that she ain't already hyperactive herself, mind you, she's already an energetic little creature as is HELPPP). She loves sitting on people's heads (most of the time you'll see her sitting on her big bro Ades'); she also loves making friends.

Miss Dulciana: Just a regular mortal lady, she's pretty into daisy flowers and has a gorgeous singing voice. She's sweet, loving, but pretty peppy and playful. She has a purse, but doesn't carry it around often, because the top skirt layer of her dress has pockets beneath it. She's an absolute disaster at baking, but she has her fun in trying, at least. She's also tried learning Crochet, but gave up when she accidentally tangled her hands in the yarn and undid her entire work while trying to pry them free. She taught Pleiades French and learnt Japanese with him. :)

any and all excitement and joy over new art style was quickly washed away by trying to get procreate to fucking cooperate with the squares MY GOD-

anyways minecraftsona + new art style that i'm super duper proud of yay :3

he's a lil cherry blossom loving gremlin who will affectionately bite your arm

the tentacles on his back are actual cherry blossom branches that act like... actual tentacles, which makes building extremely efficient. which is amazing because it's all this goober does, someday the world he's in will be covered in his various builds

lord help him he never goes into survival mode he would not last the night even if given full netherite gear

i don't have a name for what he's supposed to be. hell, i'll probably just have him be a one of a kind creature. but i love him all the same :3

𝔃𝓱𝓸𝓷𝓰𝓵𝓲 ᡣ𐭩 thinks the way i tear up and clap like a seal while laughing out loud like a gremlin is absolutely endearing somehow. i think it's the rawness of it all that makes him feel absolutely trusted and kinda proud with himself. especially given that i only do this whenever i'm super comfortable with someone and find whatever it is absolutely hilarious.

ⲇⳑ ⲏⲇⳕτⲏⲇϻ ᡣ𐭩 adores the way i excitedly ramble to the point that i get breathless whenever i talk about something i'm really invested in (but i suppose i myself get utterly smitten whenever he goes into an infodump/rant about whatever thing he's currently hyperfixated in…)

𝔴𝔯𝔦𝔬𝔱𝔥𝔢𝔰𝔩𝔢𝔶 ᡣ𐭩 despite my body insecurities, he seems to think my whole body his personal squish toy 🧸 love handles? squish. tummy? knead knead. cheeks? squeezeable. thighs? squish squish. "it's calming" he claims. i think he's secretly just a puppy.

𝔃𝓱𝓸𝓷𝓰𝓵𝓲 ᡣ𐭩 i think somewhere after a few millennia and experiencing several deaths of the people around him, he realizes that there's something different about specifically watching me pass away, despite knowing we'll meet again one day.

ⲇⳑ ⲏⲇⳕτⲏⲇϻ ᡣ𐭩 for both of us, the sapling is already there since we were kids. it's just that it's grows slowly, bit by bit, sprouting into friendship until it blossoms into a more romantic direction after we've both grown into self-aware adults.

𝔴𝔯𝔦𝔬𝔱𝔥𝔢𝔰𝔩𝔢𝔶 ᡣ𐭩 the classic 'at first it was mere curiosity, but it develops into love as we spend more time together'. do the gardemeks really need such regular software maintenance? not really, but don't worry about that, it's for the safety of the fortress! yup! the duke has 0 ulterior motives, he swears!!

last twilight episode 4 thoughts, feelings, etc.

as always, i'm just some foul mouthed gremlin online.

holy shit. the episodes keep hitting us like a truck immediately.

do you think Mhok's hands smell like jasmine? do you think someday in the future they'll lay in bed at the end of their day and Day will hold Mhok's hand gently to his face, press a kiss to the inside of his wrist, and smile because Mhok smells like jasmine from all the blossoms he has picked for him throughout their time together?

the correction from boss to friend, oh fuuuuuuck. and Mhok asking Day if he's coming with - once again as Mhok always does he gives Day a choice and make sure Day is an active participant in his own life. kissing him on the forehead, Mhok you're doing such an amazing job as a caretaker. you're not perfect, but fuck you're better than most trained professionals i've seen to be honest. and Mhok doesn't just turn the radio on for Day, he guides Day to turn it on himself. UGH. UUUUGH.

I can't look at you, look into your eyes, or confront you

Oh. Ough the pain is unending and forever. Day quite literally can't do those things, even if he reaches that point emotionally where he might want to. Life is great because there are so many vegetables you can saute, but also, the horrors.

Once again, Porjai and Mhok's friendship is so important to me. Porjai is just so important to me (ignore the fact that I'm half in love with her fuck she's so beautiful-) it's so important for Mhok to have this support system and this friendship and UGH. I'm so glad there's no fallout from the fight.

AND AGAIN HE ANNOUNCES HIMSELF TO DAY. Mhok does this every single time he returns to Day's side, he very rarely forgets to announce himself to Day. He's so fucking good about it.

AND DAY ONCE AGAIN TRYING TO ESTABLISH HIMSELF AS A FRIEND. AND MHOK'S SMILE. CHEWING THROUGH MY DESK.

I also love Porjai not making assumptions of how she should act, she just asks Day what she should do to make him comfortable. Punching my desk, punching my desk, punching my desk. It's so funny how these complete strangers to Day have treated him with so much more dignity than his own family (however, it is difficult for family to navigate a newly disabled family member because there is this inherent need to protect and sometimes that protection goes too far into coddling, so I don't want to shit on his family constantly. It's a really tricky situation to navigate for the people closest to you.)

His voice is like the scent of cigarettes.

I'm never writing fanfiction again because nothing I write will top this, hey Day what the fuck. I also think this is a good example of Day's major; we know he was majoring in journalism and the sensation he creates here is incredible - and it shows he's still fully capable of capturing the essence of the world, of a story, without his sight. He offers a new perspective that is no less beautiful.

Oh, the way Mhok guides Day where to look when he's taking the photo so it looks natural, so he can keep his secret from the general public until he's ready. Ouuugghhhghh.

This isn't important but the transition from part 2 to part 3 being all Namtan fuck I'm so bisexual.

Staring unblinkingly at every red flag Porjai dodged. Also want to point out the only times we've seen Mhok get violent has been to protect the people closest to him - even back at the garage. He's never once been violent for his own gain, it's always been to protect.

Oh, Porjai. The circumstances are absolutely shit but there's no doubt in my mind that your child is going to be so, so loved by everyone around them. I just know Mhok is going to adore that kid.

Coming into this scene at the party makes me so anxious. Reintegration into society can be so, so scary. Day has been dipping his toe into it but this is a big, chaotic gathering. This is so scary and I'm so proud of him but like hhhggg makes me nervy.

Ugh I have a feeling Day is going to be exhausted after this. He's already having to field (I don't want to say stupid questions) a whole slew of questions and over the top concern. It's going to be a lot.

Oh Mhok you want Day to want you so bad it makes you look stupid, I love you.

I knew he was going to sing that song, I knew it in my heart, but it still makes me emotional with the rainbow background. (I also love "I don't sing that well" and then proceeds to sing with the voice of an angel. [What if he actually isn't that good of a singer but it sounds that way to Day because of his affection for Mhok???])

Tell me why my ass is crying at Day trying to see Mhok on his phone, and looking up and barely being able to see anything of him. He wants to see him so bad.

OH NOW I'M GENUINELY SOBBING.

I love that while the show emphasizes that Day can see Mhok in a way no one else can, he still has that desire to see him physically. It hurts and it's so painful to watch but it's just another element of this show that makes it so real. Just because Day is starting to adjust, just because he can gauge a lot about people from the sound of their voice, it doesn't magically replace the sense he's losing and it doesn't make him miss that any less. I'm just gonna blanket apologize for how long these are getting. January: Sweet Child o' Mine - Guns 'N Roses. Nothing snarky to say about this one tbh. If I had a nickel for every time I've heard this song since adopting my special needs dog, I'd have ... idk maybe $2.25, but it's weird that it's happened so much in the first two years of his life. I always remember hearing this song play while I held this tiny pup and wondered what his future might look like, given his struggles. It's "our" song now. Hopefully, it's a good omen more than anything. Things have been so iffy with his epilepsy, I could really use a win (and/or a miracle).

February: Hey Jealousy - Gin Blossoms. I'm not a jealous person lol but this song speaks to my nostalgia, especially regarding people who are no longer here, so maybe this is a good fit for February.

March: Still Fly - Big Tymers. Aw, man, I really miss late 90s/early 2000s rap. So much nostalgia there. This feels like a good vibe for the month overall (I hope). Might be reunited with the BFF, so there's that.

April: Africa - Toto. I guess in April I'll bless the rains down in Africa, as a treat.

May: Overdrive - Lazerhawk. Hmm. Am I having a cyberpunk road adventure? I mean, I do love me some Lazerhawk.

ALRIGHT it's been awhile since the last proper rec post (and yes yes yes buddies i know i am late to the show i'm SORRY) so bear with me while i try to contain my yelling about cang lan jue (or, love between fairy and devil, which......as my sister put it, is about as low an english title as it can get 😂)

what: period cdrama // 36 eps, roughly 45 mins each where: netflix // iqiyi why: do you enjoy the soft sunshine gremlin/broody fight fight fight demon dynamic? this is the show for you 🥰

a brief overview!!!

this is my son dong fang qing cang, or, daqiang (affectionate), Moon Supreme™, mightiest in the three realms, who was unfortunately defeated in battle 30000 years ago and imprisoned for ~reasons

this sweet child xiao lanhua (lit. little orchid) is a low level immortal orchid spirit (fairy is ehhh, she's not exactly a 仙 but ehhh translations hmm) who accidentally (!!!) Frees The Monster™ from his prison while attempting to save this other boy she has been having a crush on

(the whole thing involves kissing - this is literally the first episode)

(this is not the only kissing we will get, dw)

the process triggers a spell and they??? switch bodies when they kiss??? which is hilarious because we get fun scenes with xiao lanhua in dfqc's body like

and

ANYWAY this is not the only side effect of their first encounter!! dfqc soon realises that he has been Cursed™ to a) feel any pain inflicted upon xiao lanhua physically, and b) share xiao lanhua's emotions!

him!!! an almighty being who has not felt one (1) single feeling since he had them literally ripped from his being (not by choice 😭) since he was a child!!! suddenly he's crying?? and feeling fear??? and getting hurt??? this is Not Okay!! he is the mightiest in all the realms!!! this is a weakness that he must rid himself off!!!

before he can figure out how to do this, the most prudent thing to do appears to be to have to protect xiao lanhua from all harm, and uh, doing whatever he can to ensure her emotional wellbeing and happiness??? dfcq goes from broody unfeeling demon lord to number one xiao lanhua stan (begrudgingly) the longer he stays around her

he literally went batshit to protect her and it was Amazing to watch!! god of war whomst??? can't hear you over me beating your ass to protect my girl

but it's not just that!! he's also going around reading through ancient scrolls to figure out how to best make an orchid plant grow/blossom well, and just. collecting dew water for her! making her (terrible) food!! taking to see the sunrise because it's good for her! daqiang contains multitudes!!!!

the entire time, because dfqc never really bothered with any explanation beyond "you belong to me", xiao lanhua is thinking: fuck, i accidentally freed a guy from prison and now he's in love with me?????

it's hilarious

ANYWAY that's the setup of the show!! obviously, there are some plotty things going on, and ofc it wouldn't be a good xianxia if they did not have go to the mortal realm to 渡劫 (i'm on this arc now and it's so funny too, i love it)! i'm only two thirds of the way through the show because tragically work is a thing that i have to do, but i have heard that there is Sads™ towards the end (although i'm told it ends well) and i'm looking forward to it!!

i personally am really enjoying this! things move along quickly in this show, and because they're pretty basic plotlines it doesn't take a lot of focus to watch! the sets/costumes are gorgeous, and dylan and esther are surprisingly good in this!! i've always been pretty meh about dylan outside of cvariety until now, but there have been scenes in this where he just blew me over. the pacing of the relationship is good as well, like i'm 2/3 of the way through and they haven't gotten together yet, but they're obviously fond of each other and slowly tipping across the line and it's just SO CUTE TO WATCH

please watch this so we can all suffer together, 11/10 would rec

Hey so I've just finished reading ybtm (Ibty) and i can say with absolute certainty that you've just gained another loyal fan!! *Sobs* Why did I only encounter this fic now??! Not even 3 chapters in and I was already hooked.

It's always such a treat whenever you grace us with a pov from another character. And your latest Orion's pov-? *Chef's kiss*

The sheer amount of angst packed in his pov is amazing. The guilt? The denial? And the grief that came over him when he assumed Harry really died?? ...let's not forget how Orion even felt protectiveness surged in him for Harry and even bared his teeth towards his own mother??? aaaAAAAHHHH--

(Ohoho are we witnessing Orion Black having a character development? 👀👀) (I absolutely adore Orion, that gremlin. I was initially wary of him but now I'll defend him with my life hands down.)

I'm aware that with the current pace of the story, romance blossoming between characters is far and hard to say but I've also seen some posts of yours that there's a chance Tom might develop romantic feelings for Harry- will it be the same for Orion? Do you perhaps see if somewhere down the road Orion might also develop feelings for our residential ball of anger (Harry)?

asdahskjfh thank you! I've been in a bit of a slump emotionally lately and this ask always makes me smile!

I'm super glad you like the swapping POVs. I love diving into what other characters think/feel in my stories. I think it adds an interesting bit of depth to the story to see it from multiple angles, so to speak. And Orion's POV in particular is always really fun to write! The boy is going through some intense growth atm. Learning to care about people...I'm so proud of him 😂

As for the romance aspect - there won't be anything overt in the main ybtm story. Tom's actions and words could read as him developing a crush on Harry, but I'd only explore that more deeply in the short sequel I'm planning.

I don't think I'd have Orion develop romantic feelings for Harry - especially not with how I plan to end the story. He'll come across more as the possessive younger sibling that dislikes any of Harry's potential partners on principle.

This is Gailine, she's a new oc for the Eda raises two gods AU, her mom is a therapist, she's going to be Enzo's only friend eventually, one of the two people they trust outside of Eda and King. She wants to be a beast keeper when she grows up, she loves animals and is very good with them. She 100% has ADHD and is a wild child.

Palisman/pets: 2 Cat Snakes, a scorpion dogish beast demon, an echo mouse and a Blossom Bat. Later she gets a Griffin buddy and a Sea Wolf.

She was born with phocomelia, it's a condition that causes someone to be born without limbs or with under developed limbs, she was born without her right arm from her shoulder down so she uses an abomination prosthetic.

She absolutely loves animals of any kind and is always able to connect and make friends with them. She wants to be a beast keeper and she thinks the beast keeping coven is the best and she will fight anyone who denies her on it.

She is the animal kid. She is always reading up on animals and their behaviors and how she can best befriend them and ways she might communicate with any animal. She knows a lot of random animals facts that she sometimes blurts out because it's so cool that Sea Wolves (not a canon creature, I added it) can swim in the boiling water without getting hurt at all.

She could info dump about animals for days.

She'd love to meet Eberwolf and just talk with them about all the animals and things she's figured out that you can do with beast magic and all these animal thing, she would absolutely lose her shit if she got that oppertunity.

She can sometimes be a bit much in terms of her personality and how she expresses herself and says what she's thinking so she doesn't forget it but she is a really caring, sensitive person and if you just tell her that something is bothering you, she'll do whatever you need and wait til you're okay. (How her adhd is expressed is based on the way mine expresses because that's what I know, I do have a friend and cousin with adhd but my friend has other stuff that will effect her behavior and I'm not around my cousin all the time to understand how hers expresses, I'm sure I will soon though.)

Gailine's also got that oh so nice adhd fuck me and my problems, let me avoid, take care and help you with your problems, mine can totally wait.

She likes to help people and animals and she's very friendly.

She's going to be Enzo's one and only friend outside of the owl house once they meet and start talking. They will bond over animals and being gremlins sometimes.

Yes, the background for the two images is the same, I made a decent one and decided to just go with it for both. You'll probably see it again cause backgrounds are hard for me.

If anybody has an experience with things like phocomelia and could give me tips or advice in how to write and approach it from a writing stand point, it would be greatly apreciated!
