Thanks! Like with the three of them hanging out? They're actually quite a fun trio because someone is always 3rd wheeling with their dynamics. We have Mikey and Emma are siblings, Mikey and Draken are best friends and Emma and Draken are crushes/ lovers.

Mikey loves knowing both of their secrets, when they're all together he'll hint at their crushes sometimes and watch them blush over it.

They hang out as a trio fairly often, they work well together as a group 

Emma is impressed by how easily Draken handles any of Mikey's problems (she does wonder if he just carries flags around all the time though)

One time Mikey and Draken ended up fighting some guys during one of their hangout sessions, they were both concerned about Emma but she managed to punch the only guy who dared to go after her.  

Emma insists on helping with their wounds after any fights (both Mikey and Draken resist this but both secretly like it).

Draken ends up treating the siblings often

Mikey has gotten in between a few romantic moments between Emma and Draken before. They'll be having a private moment and Mikey will pop up like "Kenchin I need taiyaki" 

Normally Mikey picks where they go and what they do (though sometimes he'll let the other two choose too)

Draken has a had to break up a few sibling arguments before (typically it's because Mikey has done something which has annoyed Emma). 

If Emma ever says she's cold, she get's both Mikey and Draken's coats passed to her.

Emma doesn't get a lot of the things Mikey and Draken are into "why are you two talking about beating that group of guys up!?" They also don't get a lot of her interests. 

One time when they went out to eat together, Mikey got crumbs all over his face so Emma wiped them off with a napkin for him. Draken didn't stop laughing or teasing him for hours after that.

And finally, in the good timeline after Emma and Draken have their baby, Mikey says happily "guess we can hangout as a group of four now!"

Hello! I came across you today on my For You page and I just wanted to say I think you’re awesome! I remember watching rescue bots when I was younger and it was still airing, but TFO really jumpstarted my interest in the franchise! So I’d like to say I LOVE bby Oppy P with my whole heart. He is the adorbliest, Period. Which leads into my question: How would Starscream, Soundwave, and Shockwave react to bby Oppy? I’d imagine they were captured on the battlefield, and since Oppy has a habit of appearing in random places, he’d wind up with the three of them! Ensue hi jinx with paternal instinct Soundwave, confused Shockwave (He recognizes the resemblance of the sparkling and OP, but there’s NO LOGICAL WAY that could be him!) and Starscream having a surprising soft spot for babies! (Casual 3 men and a baby parody?) How would Oppy react to them? Would the trio try to kidnap him? How would the others respond realizing they lost Oppy? I bet Elita would blow a gasket lol. Starscream may have complained about Optimus’ presence at first, but it didn’t take long for his true colors to show. Beneath his dramatics he has always had a soft spot for younglings, and Optimus, despite being his former enemy, was no exception. He grew attached quickly, far more than he’s willing to admit out loud. Now, he hovers constantly, scolding others for being too rough, too loud or too close, and constantly being there to “make sure everything’s fine”. He’s become fiercely overprotective, practically a doting mother, and while he will deny it over and over, he genuinely cares for the sparkling, cooing and fussing when he thinks no one is watching. Also, woe to the mech who dares make the sparkling upset or Primus forbid, cry, Starscream will make sure they regret it

Thundercracker may not have been overly interested in Optimus at first, seeing him simply as a sparkling in need of protection, nothing to get attached to. But that changed quicker than he expected. Despite himself, he started lingering a little longer when Optimus was around, quietly watching over him. The sparkling’s curious chirps and the way he’d toddle over to him with surprising trust quickly wore down his walls. He doesn’t fuss or smother like Skywarp (or occasionally Starscream) does, but he’s become one of Optimus’ calmest anchors in the chaotic Decepticon base. He’ll gently scoop the little mech up when he’s overwhelmed, or quietly hum to him during recharge when other decepticons aren’t around. His affection is quiet, he can offer safety and comfort without the noise

Skywarp treats baby Optimus like a mix between an adorable curiosity and a tiny partner-in-crime, often swooping in with antics or games that sometimes annoy the others. He’s more of a chaotic, fun uncle than a proper caretaker, prone to teleporting with Optimus just to see his reaction or sneaking him treats when no one's looking. Thankfully, his trine usually reins him in before things can go too far. Despite his recklessness, he genuinely cares about the sparkling in his own way, getting oddly protective if anyone upsets him

Soundwave took to baby Optimus unsurprisingly efficiently. Having raised his own cassettes, he was already well-versed in the needs of a sparkling, and to him, he didn’t see Optimus as a former enemy or a political figure, right now he was just a small, vulnerable lifeform in need of protection. While others sometimes hesitated or struggled with the idea of who Optimus used to be, Soundwave never does. He treats the sparkling with the same attentive care he gave to his own, anticipating needs before they arose, maintaining routine, and ensuring Optimus was safe and comforted. He doesn't smother, but his presence is a constant reassurance. If Optimus needs something, Soundwave is usually the first one to figure it out and provide. In the chaos of the Decepticon ranks, Soundwave is a stable, competent force and arguably the most dependable of all in Optimus’ new life

The cassettes quickly adopted baby Optimus as one of their own after seeing how Soundwave took to him. Rumble and Frenzy were the most outwardly enthusiastic, immediately diving into “big brother” mode in their own chaotic way. They roughhouse a little too hard sometimes or teach him bad habits (like to throw things at others' helms to get attention), but they are fiercely protective and dote on him in their own loud way. Ravage is quieter, a comforting shadow always nearby, gentle, watchful, and prone to curling around the sparkling like a silent guardian. Laserbeak often perches near Optimus, chirping at him and letting him tug on wires or wings without complaint. To the four of them, this wasn’t Optimus Prime anymore, just their baby brother, and no one was allowed to mess with him.

Shockwave initially regarded Optimus as nothing more than a scientific anomaly that needed to be studied and analyzed. His clinical approach and constant scans unsettled the sparkling, who didn’t understand why this mech never offered comfort like the others. It got to the point when whenever Shockwave got too close, Optimus would let out distressed beeps or outright scream. But after realizing his tests weren’t providing results (and a long talk from Soundwave), Shockwave ceased his experiments, and something shifted with time. Optimus gradually grew less fearful and more curious, eventually becoming comfortable enough to touch and climb on Shockwave like he did the others. From then on, Shockwave began caring for him in subtle, precise ways, adjusting environmental conditions, monitoring his well-being, and silently ensuring his needs were met. Though their bond is quiet and distant compared to others, it is grounded in mutual observation, trust, and an unspoken understanding.

Megatron spent the first few weeks avoiding Optimus, unable to face the complicated feelings the sparkling stirred in him. It wasn’t until after their “talk” (Megatron just ranting at him), that he realized this sparkling was a blank slate. A chance. Renaming the sparkling Nemesis, ready to raise the little one as a true Decepticon “strong and unburdened by sentiment or weakness”. And though he’d never admit it aloud, this was Megatron’s way of finally coping with the loss of Orion. Now, Nemesis adores Megatron, getting excited whenever the warlord enters the room, and instinctively toddling over to him, reaching for his hand or climbing into his lap. The love and comfort Nemesis feels for Megatron are undeniable, and though Megatron refuses to admit it, there's an attachment that forms between them. He tries to convince himself that Nemesis isn't Orion, but the sparkling's adoration and familiar actions (his giggles, his mimicked expressions, the way he nuzzles into Megatron's chest) haunt and heal him at the same time.

The city’s rhythm feels like a heartbeat, pulsing with the lives and stories of the people who live here. And for you, it’s not the towering buildings or bustling streets that make New York feel like home. It’s the people you share it with, the friends who’ve become your family, each with their own history and quirks, all somehow meshing together into this messy, beautiful dynamic you’d never trade for anything.

It started with Bucky. You met him on the playground when you were kids, both too stubborn to share the swing set. That was years ago, but you’ve been inseparable ever since. He’s been your constant, the friend who showed up at your house with snacks when you had a bad day, and the one who stayed up with you during endless nights of stargazing and silly conversations about what the future would hold.

When junior high rolled around, Steve joined your little duo. Steve, with his easy smile and that unwavering loyalty that made it impossible not to trust him. The smell of pizza fills your tiny New York apartment as Steve brings in the last box from the kitchen, setting it down on the coffee table with a grin. “Alright, who’s ready to lose at Mario Kart?”

“You mean, who’s ready to lose to me,” Natasha chimes, grabbing a slice and settling on the couch, challenging smirk in place. “You all know I’m the reigning champion.”

“Oh, that’s cute,” Sam teases, snatching the controller out of her hands with a wink. “I’m about to wipe the floor with all of you.”

You laugh, wedged into the corner of the couch beside Bucky, who’s flipping through channels like he’s in his own world. “You’ll be singing a different tune once I lap you three times,” he says, voice casual, eyes on the screen.

“Talk all you want, Barnes,” you reply, nudging his shoulder, “but you’re not gonna win tonight.”

His eyes meet yours, that lazy, amused smile you know so well. “Bring it on, doll.”

Natasha elbows you, muttering, “You two better save the banter for the race, or I’m taking both of you out first round.”

Your friends’ laughter fills the room, echoing off the narrow walls that have seen a hundred nights like this, crowded with the people you’ve come to think of as family. Wanda arrives a few minutes later, holding a tray of cupcakes she’s decorated herself. “Special edition, fall flavors,” she announces proudly, setting them down in the kitchen. “Pumpkin spice, because I know how basic you all are.”

Steve scoffs but grabs one immediately. “Did you just call me basic?”

“Take it as a compliment,” she teases, leaning into Sam, who gives her a quick side-hug. “Means you have taste.”

In the middle of this, Bucky slings his arm across the back of the couch, close enough that his hand almost brushes your shoulder. You can feel the warmth radiating off him, feel the way your pulse picks up—things he’d never notice.

“Why don’t we just skip the race and go straight to the part where we talk about how I’m a hero and you’re all my loyal sidekicks?” Bucky quips, popping open a beer and flashing a grin that could melt steel.

“Oh, please,” you scoff, trying to ignore the way your heart flutters. “In what world do you get to be the hero?”

“In my world,” he replies with a wink, leaning in closer. You catch Natasha’s look over the rim of her drink, one eyebrow raised as if to say, See what I mean?

The hours pass like they always do, a blur of laughter, arguments over who cheated and who didn’t, Wanda’s cupcakes disappearing one by one, and Steve trying to prove he can actually beat Nat, despite his track record saying otherwise. It’s only when the clock hits midnight that everyone starts to wind down.

As they get ready to leave, Natasha gives you a long look. “See you tomorrow?” she asks, her tone casual but her eyes full of something else.

You nod, managing a smile as she heads out with the others, leaving just you and Bucky to pick up the empty cans and plates. He nudges you as he gathers them up. “Another night, another victory,” he says.

“You were lucky, Barnes,” you say, rolling your eyes.

And maybe he’ll notice one day—how much it means to you that he’s here, that you’re the one left cleaning up with him every time the night winds down. But for now, he just laughs, flashing that grin of his that you can never get out of your head.

Bucky laughs, shaking his head. “If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you’re jealous of my skills.”

“Skills?” you snort, tossing a pillow his way. “All I saw tonight was a lot of luck.”

He catches the pillow mid-air, grinning. “Keep telling yourself that. Maybe one day you’ll believe it.”

There’s a lull as you both continue gathering up cups and plates, the quiet feeling comfortable, familiar. Every late night ends like this: just the two of you, unwinding after hours of laughter and chaos. You’re stacking plates by the sink when he leans back against the counter, crossing his arms with that easy, relaxed posture he gets when it’s just the two of you.

“So, what do you think of Kate?” he asks, out of nowhere.

You freeze, not quite sure how to answer. She’s… fine. In fact, she’s more than fine. She’s exactly the kind of person who should be with Bucky—smart, confident, and with a wit sharp enough to keep up with him.

“She seemed nice,” you manage, “I only met her the one time near the end of summer break” avoiding his gaze. “Why?”

He shrugs, scratching the back of his neck, a little sheepish. “I dunno. We’ve been talking a bit, and she’s… I don’t know, different.”

Different. The word sits heavy in your stomach, weighted with the implication. You force a smile, willing yourself not to overthink it. “Different’s good, right?”

“Yeah, it is.” He nods, looking thoughtful in a way that makes your heart sink, because this—this is new. You’ve watched him brush off a hundred girls, seen him roll his eyes at the idea of commitment more times than you can count. But he’s not brushing Kate off, and that terrifies you.

“Well,” you say, keeping your tone light, “if you’re planning to bring her around, at least let me so I can order extra pizza because 3 large pizza’s arent enought with Steve around”

Bucky chuckles, ruffling your hair in that infuriatingly casual way he’s always done. “You’re the best doll, you know that?”

The words are simple, playful, but they pierce all the same, a reminder of just how invisible you are to him in that way. “Yeah,” you say, a little quieter, “I know.”

Dang it, I love this ship and I love the enemies to lovers trope. I get that a lot of people see them as a surrogate father and daughter relationship, but it feels like a been there/done that kinda thing.

As much as I love that trope, I'm also a little tired of it. There's only so much Last of Us style found family I take after seeing it for so many years.

The thing I love about VaultGhoul or Ghoulcy is the idea of Lucy breaking down of Cooper's walls while he helps build hers up.

Is he incredibly cruel to her and those around him in the first season? Yes, extremely

Does he need to chill out and find some of his humanity that's been buried under 200+ years of wasteland survival and bitterness? Yes

Who can bring that needed direction to his life while learning the ways of the new world she finds herself in? Lucy MacLean

I know that the canon ship of the show at this moment is Lucy and Maximus, and as much as I love him, I find the pairing obvious and kind of boring from a story telling perspective. I loved it on my first viewing, but upon re-watching the series, I wasn't as behind it as before. I see their relationship, kiss and all, as a kind of first fling for the both of them.

While it doesn't diminish the care they show one another, there's not a lot behind them as a couple. Now I know that some people might turn around to say how she and Cooper spent less time together than her and Max, but I guess the thing I look forward to is seeing what their relationship brings with the second season.

I feel like Max and Lucy will have a great friendship and I'm interested to see where the Brotherhood fits into their dynamic as well.

With Cooper though, I find his story so tragic, as it's supposed to be. He's your standard hardened survivor who only looks out for himself that's now stuck with the happy-go-lucky main character, however, she's not that character anymore by the end. She's still going to be the Lucy we love, but she's changed by the end. While not losing her compassion and some optimism, I think Cooper is going to bring out a harsher side to her as we saw when she bit off his finger.

I want to see her building up her walls and learning when to let them down. How to truly survive while still bringing her own energy to the wasteland and people around her. I want to see Cooper regaining some lost humanity while learning to truly care for another person again. To see the two of them as eventual equals in one another's eyes as they continue on their journey as reluctant allies.

I also want to say that I'm personally kind of tired of the 'age gap' argument. We have stories of teenagers falling in love with hundred year old vampires. So can we just drop the age gap thing?

As long as they're both consenting adults who understand what they're getting themselves into, who cares about an age gap.

Does it truly matter in the scheme of things when we're talking about a world with cryo-stasis and super mutants?

I personally don't think so.

I don't know if anyone will even bother reading this entire thing, and I know I went on a little long, but I wanted to write down my thoughts on the whole shipping situation with the Fallout TV show fandom at this moment.

I'm a VaultGhoul shipper and I can't wait to see where the second season takes our main trio of characters.

She’s over the moon

She’s always wanted a baby and now she has the one that was taken from her so many years ago

She will dress you up and do your hair and take care of you

So of course he tries his best to be a father figure for her daughter

She would care about that part

But it wouldn’t be like if Edward or Bella had done it

She forgives you guys

Jasper hit the baseball once and in your attempt to catch it, it hit you straight in the head

A football game?

And of course, Rosalie is heavily involved

So she does whatever she can to bond with you

Naturally, she was devastated when she had to leave you

But now that you're back, she does everything with you

You become one of her girls just like Alice, Rosalie, and Bella

She tries her best not to be overbearing though

On the one hand, this means fans will really dig for the diamonds in the rough, latching onto fun character interactions, animations, bits of background worldbuilding, and more in pieces of Sonic media that many would write off as "the bad ones." But it also feels like every week another needlessly hostile debate over Sonic minutia erupts on Twitter, whether it's over individual lines of dialogue, fanart that makes Tails' shoes blue, or the ideal length and volume for Sonic's quills.

So it was probably inevitable that a fandom-wide debate would erupt upon seeing Amy's new gameplay style in the DLC for Sonic Frontiers, which takes the once-obscure fact that she enjoys reading tarot and shines a spotlight on it like never before.

I mean:

The thing is, while I basically always try to tune out Sonic fandom bickering... for once, I kind of sympathize with the detractors? Don't get me wrong, I like Amy's tarot stuff, and people on all sides of the discussion are being overly nasty about their opinions, as usual. (Sonic Twitter remains my personal hell.) But when I set aside the hyperbole and zoom out, I do think I understand why some fans are put off by the sudden shift in focus for the character, even if I think it's cool.

It's complicated. Let me attempt to present the cases for and against Amy's fortune cards

For years, I was always one of those fans who thought it could be fun if they played with Amy's tarot reading, or even leaned into some kind of magic with her. Part of that is my own biases showing, but there's just something that makes sense there, especially when you look at Sonic, Tails, and Amy as a trio. (I would argue that's the real "Team Sonic" these days, especially in the comics where Knuckles is more likely to be stuck on Angel Island or otherwise doing his own thing.)

You could argue that Tails is all about logic, relying on science and technology and deductive reasoning to solve problems. But Amy is all about emotion. She wears her heart on her sleeve, is extremely empathetic, and is very prone to magical thinking - both figuratively and sometimes literally. Her origin story has always been that her tarot cards told her it was her destiny to meet Sonic on Little Planet. She's claimed to be able to "sense" peoples' presences - particularly Sonic's. She's the type to believe that The Power of Love is a literal magical force. So, on some level, it makes sense to mirror Tails's science by having Sonic's other best friend believe in magic. And then Sonic is somewhere in the middle, primarily following his own gut instincts but taking advice from both of them as needed. This isn't totally accurate to how their dynamics actually function in canon stories, but I think it's a mode that could work for them.

Going off of that, it's fun to lean all the way into Amy being a magical girl, or even a witch, using her fortune telling as a foundation. Take, for example, this version of Amy from Diana Skelly's old Sonic cast redesigns from before she freelanced for Archie and IDW. This is one of MANY such redesigns for Amy.

Fast forward to the 2020s, and Amy's tarot cards are, in fact, finally getting brought up again in canon. Which is fun! I like seeing that. I like all of the individual stories involving Amy's fortune cards. This is a fun character trait for Amy, a fun nod to old lore, AND a fun storytelling device, all in one. It's really cool that the Sonic universe has its own thematically appropriate arcana, and that the cards are getting made as physical merch. And sure enough, the official card backs and borders were designed by none other than Diana Skelly, in yet another cool example of an ascendant fan leaving their mark on the series.

BUT... when you step back and look at the big picture, I get why some fans find this shift in focus jarring. At the moment, it's starting to feel like every new story about Amy involves her fortune cards to some degree.

The most recent mainline comic arc to feature Amy as the lead character, 2021's Trial by Fire arc, prominently features a sequence where she reads fortunes while camping with the girls. The Origins version of Sonic CD now bookends the game with scenes of Amy and her tarot cards. Sonic randomly mentioned it in a scene in Frontiers. And now, just this week, we got the (very cute, gorgeously illustrated) Amy's 30th Anniversary comic with a story revolving around Amy's tarot cards, followed the very next day by the Frontiers DLC in which she gets a brand new tarot-based moveset. Even her base melee attack now has her throwing tarot cards instead of swinging her hammer. Again, I like all of these individual things, but after years of it almost never coming up at all, it's VERY noticeable that Amy's tarot cards are suddenly everywhere.

To be fair, I'm looking at this from the perspective of a superfan who's actively following ALL Sonic media. Casual fans - especially kids - aren't necessarily going to be reading the comics every month, buying the thousandth rerelease of the Genesis games, or playing the ultra-hard new alternate ending DLC for a game that came out last year. Each of these stories is going to be someone's introduction to the idea that Amy can read tarot, and that's probably part of the idea behind this unified push.

But to play devil's advocate, for my fellow superfans, I understand why it feels like a very minor footnote of Amy's character is suddenly becoming the entire focus of her personality. While Amy has always been said to enjoy fortune telling, that wasn't really a character trait in and of itself, but rather an example of her being a typical girl who hopes she'll be able to find true love one day. It's less that Amy can literally predict the future and more like her using a cootie catcher or going "he loves me, he loves me not" while picking the petals off of a flower. So I get not vibing with this stuff, or feeling like it's being pushed very hard out of nowhere.

What I don't agree with are comparisons like "it's like if they made Knuckles' moveset revolve around him liking grapes." Like, I get it. Ian Flynn loves shoehorning in his little winking references for us nerds, and mentions of Amy's tarot cards were previously on the same level as other random bullet points from old Japanese manuals. But a multifaceted hobby like fortune telling that opens up so many narrative and aesthetic possibilities is obviously very different from having a favorite food. It's ALWAYS been a part of her story, not just a random fact, and there's no reason why the fortune telling can't be elevated to something more.

And, hell, even if it wasn't an established character trait, there's nothing inherently wrong with injecting new ideas into a character. One of the best Amy stories in recent years, the Free Comic Book Day special "Amy's New Hobby" written by Gale Galligan, came up with the idea that Amy's secretly been drawing little comics about her and her friends. Is this based on Lore? No. But it's cute, and helps tell the story of a younger Amy who's still coming out of her shell as both a hero and a friend.

Certain fans are also looking at Amy's Frontiers moveset and using it as evidence that once again the Vile American Contributors like Ian are CORRUPTING Sonic Team's perfect vision of Sonic with their misinterpretations. And like. Come on. Ian does not control the gameplay. He's a freelance writer. The tarot stuff is clearly something that Sonic Team likes if they made it the basis of Amy's new moveset - and, you know, if they keep approving comics and animations about Amy's fortune telling. None of this gets made without their blessing, and lord knows how much they can micromanage shit and shoot down ideas over the most minor of details.

Like, yeah, Amy's fortune telling was probably conceived less as a sign that she Knows Magic and more as a pretty mundane hobby for a lovesick young Japanese girl to have. But you're gonna sit there and tell me that using Amy's tarot cards for more than that could only be the result of a cultural misunderstanding? That nobody in Japan uses tarot card theming and aesthetics (or the general idea of magical cards) for the cool factor? Stardust Crusaders? Persona? The Astrologian class in FFXIV? Cardcaptor Sakura?? Hello??? Do you think Capcom put Gambit in Marvel vs. Capcom ironically because they thought using magic to throw cards at people was stupid? There's tons of precedent for this! It's nothing like Knuckles throwing grapes at people, be for real.

Giving Amy a very magical girl-esque moveset also just makes a lot of sense. For decades her hammer attacks have literally made sparkly heart shapes appear around her. Leaning into both that and her tarot cards in her new moveset makes a lot of sense to me.

But, admittedly... I do think it's very odd that her hammer is treated as a secondary element here, rather than having her primarily use her hammer and adding the cards for extra flair. If hitting the attack button made her swing her hammer instead of throwing cards, I'm not sure we'd even be having this discussion right now.

But the tarot-cycle and Amy riding her hammer like a witch's broom are fucking SICK and I will not concede on this point

The thing is, this whole fortune card discourse is but a small piece of a bigger problem. Amy's been a character who needed some work for ages, but there's basically nothing you can do with her without pissing SOMEONE off.

Years of stories where Amy's crush was her primary motivator and Sonic went "Ew, cooties!" have lead many casual fans to believe that being Sonic's obsessive fangirl is Amy's entire personality. At best people might call her Sonic's Minnie Mouse. This isn't just a matter of Amy having haters within the fandom - venture outside of that bubble and you'll realize that this is how MOST video game playing people seem to see her to this day. I don't feel like this is a fair assessment of the character, but this idea didn't come from nowhere. No matter how much good deeply entrenched Sonic fans may see in their old dynamic where Amy perpetually chases Sonic, this is a very real problem that Sonic Team has to contend with for their leading girl. Of course all those games where the way-past-cool protagonist thought Amy was annoyingly clingy and tried to get away from her made people think less of her.

If new stories were to go back to emphasizing Amy's crush on Sonic a little more, they'd probably be taken as confirmation that Amy's just the girl with a crush on Sonic and that this is her entire personality. Conversely, when the crush is played down, you piss off the hardcore SonAmy fans who don't seem to understand that they're Charlie Brown and Sega is Lucy holding the football. You can't win.

And so here we are. In the absence of what was once her defining trait, now reduced to an occasional blush or wink in Sonic's direction, new stories are trying to mine Amy's past for additional material to work with. Having been a thing fans wanted to see for years, right now we're getting a lot of tarot, but we're also getting reminders of her compassionate nature and her desire to go out of her way to help the little guy. This is an ongoing process. I continue to hope that her bubbly, exuberant demeanor can shine more in future stories. Now, I also hope that the tarot stuff gets balanced out a little better with other traits of hers. But I don't want it to go away. I think it's fun.

This course correcting is far from exclusive to Amy. Knuckles is getting stories that remind us that he's a competent fighter, an experienced treasure hunter, and even a self-taught archaeologist after years of him being perceived as either the dumb one or just the guy who stands in front of the Master Emerald all day. And Tails has been getting some stories reminding folks that he's a capable hero in his own right and not just Sonic's timid kid sidekick.

But no supporting character will ever compete with the sheer number of new ideas Sega has tried with Sonic himself. Like Amy, his Frontiers moveset has also given him half a dozen new superpowers that he never had before, from the Cyloop to air-slicing projectile attacks to his own take on Shadow Clone Jutsu and beyond. He's also been a hoverboarder, a swordsman, a time traveler, an Olympic athlete, a racecar driver, cursed with a Flame of Judgment, imbued with alien power, a fucking Werehog with stretchy powers, and on and on and on.

If Sonic can do all that, Amy can try out using a tarot-cycle.

Anyway TL;DR the REAL problem with Amy's current characterization... is where the FUCK is Amy's bestie, Honey the Cat???????

I would've loved what the louis grieve trio dynamic could have been if they decided to give us more relationship building and deeper character development an stuff. Or even just an au with more self indulgent plotting with them, especially given what we know now what happens later on.

Like Tim is a Drake- the fallen socialite family (who in Gotham always have some sort of skeletons in their closets) with the dead mom. Just randomly popping up at their school, no less– kids were obviously wondering what his deal is. He's laid back enough to approach, but also a subtle kind of cagey. An alluring blend of charismatic and closed-off that manifests itself as a mystery.

And next thing they know, he's getting all buddy-buddy with Bernard Dowd? The whacko who refuses to eat the cafeteria fish sandwiches because he thinks that 'theyre the offspring of the makara who resides in gotham harbour and he won't be complicit in the heinous crimes of consuming them when their mother inevitably comes to enact her revenge'?? Not to mention that he lives in some sorta haunted-looking house and has this space-case aura so who knows what the heck is going on with him.

And to add the cherry on top of this golden trio from hell, they look away for one second and here comes Darla Aquista??? Granted, Darla's chill– well liked and pretty normal. But she has her own security detail (uh?) and has a gaze just a little too sharp, her scowls a tad bit chilling. Darla is something that you look at, but never touch, because no one's sure if the rumours of her father being a mob boss are actually true and nobody wants to lose their heads over it (gotham, man ┐⁠(⁠ ⁠˘⁠_⁠˘⁠)⁠┌).

So just Tim, Bear, and Darla being seen as little weirdos, silly problem children, while simultaneously thinking that they're the only normal one in the group.

Azul would be impressed by CS!Yuu’s natural charisma, using her talents in dancing and singing at the Monstro Lounge to lift his customers spirits while also coming out one at a time with meals and drinks, giving everyone a smile as she hopes they’ll come again

The Monstro Lounge ends up becoming very popular and busy whenever CS!Yuu is working, either as entertainment or as a little waitress *trainee*

Azul is impressed by CS!Yuu’s abilities despite her age, showing she’s very smart and capable

CS!Yuu becomes the little Pearl of the Fish Mafia, as she’s able to handle a lot of work while keeping her bubbly smile that encourages others to come back again for the food

Floyd calls CS!Yuu ‘Shrimplet’ because she’s a ‘Young Shrimp’ and likes whenever she suddenly starts to dance and sing catchy little tunes and songs from her world (He either joins or watches her dance and sing, it’s a coin flip with him)

You can’t tell me Floyd wouldn’t dash and snatch CS!Yuu up and run off with her in his arms to play games, nap or do something fun *Ignoring everyone chasing and yelling at him to put her down right now!*

Jade or Azul make a beverage after CS!Yuu because she was dining with Grim and wanted a drink that looked as fancy looking as the students but something she can actually drink (The drink ends up becoming very popular at Monstro Lounge) and it is, yes, a Shirley Temple, but they name it after Child Star!Yuu

CS!Yuu is more willing to eat Jade’s mushrooms because growing up in her time she couldn’t be picky with food

Fun Fact: Shrimps and Eels have a symbolic relationship, Cleaner Shrimps help clean Moray Eels and Moray Eels provide Cleaner Shrimps with protection, as CS!Yuu helps the Tweels with cleaning duty as well as helping them with any tasks and the Tweels in return protect CS!Yuu if they notice any bullying or teasing that’s ‘not nice’

Their whole entire dynamic is a very wholesome and platonic Fish Mafia with CS!Yuu being their little Entertainer (It’s very wholesome and cute)

This ends up being so much funnier if CS!Yuu gets the upper hand and outsmarts Azul, as he originally saw her as a naive child, but now he realizes they’re birds of the same feather and is now much more affectionate and friendly towards her (Like how he now is with Jamil) only, Vil steps in to pull CS!Yuu away with a glare that tells Azul to back off!!

I LOVE THIS!! It definitely feels quite in character for the Octavinelle trio to a certain extent.

Child Star! Yuu probably wanted to start working at the Monstre Louge before the events of Book 3. After that, as compensation, Azul lets her participate, seeing that, unlike her classmates, she DOES have a good singing voice (he'll never admit he feels bad about almost killing a little girl).

Honestly, Azul was expecting a decent performance, but nothing extraordinary (Vil: poor fool), he just wanted to get the debt out of the way. What Azul didn't expect was that Yuu would also be good at dancing and entertaining the general public, even without a specific script. Yuu's improvisational ability and the way she connected with the audience was genuinely extraordinary for someone so young.

Not only that, but people even outside the dorm LOVE HER, and can he really blame them? It's a novelty, and a very good one at that. So Azul allows her to continue coming whenever she wants, alternating between working as a singer or as a waitress apprentice (with Jade and Floyd supervising her, obviously).

Speaking of the twins, Yuu now practically has her own bodyguard duo. Sure, they love to bother her from time to time or give her cleaning duties, but they stop when Yuu calls them on Azul or when they go too far. They also make sure no one tries to mess with the little shrimplet (many students have tried to take advantage of their age difference to make tasteless jokes, take advantage of Yuu's physical disadvantage, or, at best, exclude her from activities).

Jade is happy that someone is finally eating his mushroom dishes so eagerly, though he's slightly worried that Yuu won't even hesitate for a second to eat whatever you put in front of her as long as it's not rotten (it reminds him of a certain hyena...). The idea that he and Azul decided to make a drink so Yuu could have something like the other students is very sweet.

Floyd definitely tries to encourage Yuu to be more chaotic, or at least let him be chaotic for the both of them. Yuu is so used to the point that at some point during the day, Floyd will just come, pick her up like a stuffed animal, and drag her off to do something with him (while having several students looking on, worried, confused, etc.), much to the displeasure of Vil and the other members of Pomefiore, who will probably try to chase him in vain (he has long legs, that's coal).

I don't know why the idea of Yuu and Floyd dancing makes me so happy. Probably because Floyd is so tall, he has to either 1. lift Yuu up to his height (and probably spin her around more than he should, lol), or 2. Floyd has to bend down a lot to even get on decent level with Yuu (he'll have a sore back later, but it was worth it!).

We already know that it's Yuu (the player) who ultimately defeats Azul in Book 3, but that doesn't mean our Yuu doesn't also have a part in his downfall. After all, pretending to be innocent is a great tool, something Azul respects. It's ironic how before he acted like he wanted to suffocate this girl just for existing, and now he gets stressed if she doesn't come to visit at least once a week.

Absolutely, Azul and Vil are pretty tense right now. Azul has tried (and will probably continue to) get Vil to sign a very partial contract to "share" custody of Yuu, which Vil cursed without thinking much about. It's like a constant tug-of-war, but at least they have the decency not to be violent when Yuu is present or looking in their direction (they're definitely giving each other death glares when she's not looking).

Anyway, the perks of being the fish mafia's favorite.

AMO ESTO!! Definitivamente se siente bastante en personaje para el trio Octavinille hasta cierto punto.

Yuu probablemente quiso empezar a trabajar en el Monstre Louge desde antes de los acontecimientos del libro 3, después de eso, por compensación, Azul le deja participar al ver que, a diferencia de sus compañeros, ella SI tiene una buena voz para cantar (el nunca admitirá que se siente mal por casi haber matado a una niña pequeña).

Sinceramente, Azul estaba esperando una actuación decente, pero nada extraordinario (Vil: pobre iluso), solo quería quitarse la deuda de encima. Lo que Azul no esperaba era que Yuu también fuera buena con la danza y entretener al público en general, incluso sin tener un guion concreto. La capacidad de improvisación de Yuu y la forma en la que congeniaba con el público era genuinamente extraordinaria para alguien tan joven.

No solo eso, sino que la gente de incluso fuera del dormitorio LA ADORA ¿y realmente puede culparlos? Es una novedad, y una novedad muy buena. Así que Azul permite que ella siga viniendo cuando quiera, alternando entre trabajar como cantante o como aprendiz de camarera (con la supervisión de Jade y Floyd obviamente).

Hablando de los gemelos, Yuu ahora tiene prácticamente su propio dúo de guardaespaldas. Claro, ellos aman molestarla de vez en cuando o darle sus tareas de limpieza, pero se detienen cuando Yuu los acusa con Azul o cuando van demasiado lejos. Además, se aseguran que nadie intente meterse con el camaroncito (muchos estudiantes han intentado aprovecharse de la diferencia de edad para hacer bromas de mal gusto, aprovecharse de la desventaja física de Yuu o en el mejor de los casos excluirla de actividades).

Jade está feliz de que alguien finalmente se coma con tanto desespero sus platos con hongos, aunque está ligeramente preocupado de que Yuu ni siquiera dude un segundo en comer lo que sea que le pongas en frente con tal que no esté podrido (le recuerda a cierta hiena…). La idea de que el y Azul decidieron hacer una bebida para que Yuu pudiera tomar algo como los demás estudiantes es muy tierna.

Floyd definitivamente trata de animar a Yuu a ser más caótica, o al menos dejarle ser caótico por los dos. Yuu está acostumbrada a este punto que en algún punto del dia, Floyd simplemente vendrá, la levantara como un peluche y la llevara a hacer algo junto a él (mientras tienen a varios estudiantes mirándolos preocupados, confundidos, etc) muy para el desagrado de Vil y los otros miembros de Pomefiore que probablemente intenten perseguirlo en vano (tiene piernas largas el carbón).

No sé por qué la idea de Yuu y Floyd bailando me pone tan feliz, probablemente con lo alto que es Floyd el tiene que 1-levantar a Yuu para que este a su altura (y probablemente procede a hacerla girar mas de la cuenta lol) o 2-Floyd se tiene que agachar muchísimo para siquiera estar a un nivel decente con Yuu (¡el quedara con dolor de espalda más tarde, pero valio la pena!).

Ya sabemos que es Yuu(el jugador) quien le termina ganando sobre Azul en el libro 3, pero eso no quiere decir que nuestra Yuu no tenga parte que ver su caída también, después de todo aparentar ser inocente es una gran herramienta, algo que Azul respeta. Es irónico como antes el actuaba como si quisiera ahogar a esta niña nomas por existir, y ahora se estresa si ella no viene de visita al menos una vez a la semana.

Totalmente Azul y Vil están bastante tensos ahora. Azul ha intentado (y probablemente siga) hacer que Vil firme un contrato muy parcial para “compartir” la custodia de Yuu, el cual Vil maldijo sin pensar mucho. Es como un tira y afloja constante, pero al menos tienen la decencia de no ser violentos cuando Yuu esta presente o mirando en su dirección (definitivamente se están dando miradas de muerte cuando ella no ve).

En fin, las ventajas de ser la favorita de la mafia pez.

If you looked at the trio, the first words in your head would be ridiculous. It's unconventional. It shouldn't work. All the dumb stuff that people say that only makes all three of them smile and laugh about it later.

It works for them. They all love each other. Their dynamic is not anyone else's business. The more interesting part is how they all fit together in their own little world.

Max is the most outgoing and protective. He's aggressive, but he's also incredibly sweet. She blames his daddy issues for his want (need?) to be in control of things. This also goes for sex. He's good at it, too. He just has a way of working tactically that makes her shiver at the thought.

On the opposite side, she is quiet and gentle. Christian lets her follow Max around like a lost puppy some days if he's in a mood. Why? Mad Max can't make an appearance if she's holding his hand. Don't get her wrong, she would bitch slap somebody if she needed too. But for the most part, she'll simply do as told.

Then there's Charles. He is the lovely gray area between them. The Monegasque isn't assertive for himself, but if it comes to the other two, then he's willing to commit war crimes (at least that's how it feels). He's Max's source of understanding with driving, and he takes care of the female when people are asking too much of her.

He is also a switch, interestingly enough. He will, and has, tired every role. Some days, he prefers to tag team her with Max, others he prefers to just take what Max gives. It depends on his mood, and it always makes for interesting nightly (all times of day, really) activities.

One thing about Charles is that he has separation anxiety. If her and Max are away from him for too long, then his temper starts to flair. Not in a bad way, his mind just wanders to every possibility of what could go wrong.

The difference is, when she's the one that gone Max can take of him. The Dutch can get him to subdrop in thirty seconds (give or take). It makes him feel better, makes him forget. It's almost like a reset button.

When Max is gone, it's much harder. She's tried. She's tried too hard to get him to drop. Make an attempt at playing into Max's usual role. But she can't figure it out for the life of her. Whether she's too gentle or doesn't say the right things, she has no idea.

Max and Charles have told her ample times that it's not her responsibility. Yet the little voice in her head screams at her to make it better.

That's probably the reason she's letting Charles bruise her.

Max had to fly back to England during the winter break for a couple of weeks. Charles, as per usual, was getting frustrated by day three of no Max. She cuddled him, made him food, and watched movies. She once again tried to help him sexually, but the pent-up anxiety and frustration just kept coming, and she was starting to lose faith in herself.

Halfway through the second week, she'd called Max half sobbing. She felt clueless on what to do. Not even Lando, with all of his anxiety soothing tactics, were helping. He'd reassured her it would work out fine, that Charles says things when he's anxious, but none of it is true (the biggest being Max is going to die).

Then, she decided to switch tactics. Sue called Christian and pleaded with him to send Max home early because both her and Charles are sick (ly in need of his sexual assistance). Christian relented cause he owed her a favor anyway, and Max was to be home late that evening.

What she was not expecting was for Charles to slam her against the wall. It took her off guard when he started begging to use her body. She complied, offering herself up like a Christmas present with a bow on top for him to unwrap. It's nothing new for her. Being manhandled and fucked into next year.

But this is Charles. Her gentle Charles. Eyes dilated with lust and hands litterally ripping her clothes off. Her Charles that takes at least ten minutes to communicate, getting straight into it. Charles who lays light kisses to her most sensitive areas, now biting and sucking like he's a starving vampire.

In reality, this was not her plan. Max was going to come home and give Charles what he actually needs that she can't provide.

"Fuck chéri, you really are a slut." He slaps her clit and it drags a whine out of her. "A dirty whore, gonna let me use you? Hmm?"

"Did you really think you could dom our girl, Charlie? You can't even take care of yourself." Max forces Charles to really look at her. The damage he'd done to her body as clear as day. "Do you see what you've done? What were you trying to achieve here?"

She can actively feel Charles melting. She can see his eyes getting glassy. They probably match now. If she were coherent, she would be upset that Max managed to make him drop with a couple of sentences. For now, she'll stick to not thinking and writhing around in pain.

She suddenly feels empty without Charles in her. Max had pulled him out of her. "Knees. On the floor. Hands behind your back." Max's demanding tone makes her feel all warm and fuzzy.

His calloused fingers dance across her beat thighs. She hisses at the sting but doesn't flinch away. "Who do you need right now, schat? Do you want me to be sir and keep being rough? Do you want me to be daddy and give you something soft?"

She feels stupid just staring at him in awe. Her mind is not able to fathom how good-looking he is. She curses her brain. She thought the same thing as Charles was using her for everything she had.

"Come on love. I need you to stay with me. Need you to tell me your colors."

"Green, Daddy. Mm green. I tried to help..." it comes out a slurred mumble, and she hopes he can understand her.

She's already to far gone to really notice everything that's happening. However. Charles is looking at her like she's the most amazing creature he's ever beheld.

"Apoligize to her, and maybe I'll let you move faster."

Charles begins dripping in apologies. "I'm so sorry, amour. I wasn't being careful. Just wanted to feel good. Please- fuck- I'm so sorry."

"S'okay, Charlie." Is what she manages. Though she's sure it isn't coherent.

Max picks up the speed. This time, praising them both. It's dirty and relentless. The words leaving his mouth are filthy to most, but to her, they create a sense of pride.

"My good sluts. Taking what I give you."

Charles is begging for it. She would be too if Max hadn't told her she didn't have to ask. To which she realizes it's probably not helping the Monegasque to have cum around him multiple times now.

Finally, Max relents. Charles collapses into a writhing spasming mess. Max's hands are all over his body, dragging the high out as much as he can.

Charles simply gives him a terrible wink as if to signify that he'll be holding him to that.

Okay I actually love Tango and Jimmy's relationship on ttsbc so much that I decided to make headcanons about both of them with the very little information have about their dynamic 😓😓(I would actually kill for a fic just with the two of them) (I started this a few months ago and forgot about it)

1. After Jimmy first moved away to the overcity he wasn't able to hangout with Tango due to them being so far apart, yeah they had phone calls but that still wasn't enough and Jimmy started to become more isolated and his mental health plummeted (and when he overused glamor/ had massive headaches and wing pains) because he wasent around Tango and they both kept each other in check but Jimmy found that listening to videos from YouTube playing those 4k ambience cozy fireplace sounds will actually help calm him down because he is so used to the noise and it's supper similar to the noises Tango flames produce.

2. We know Tango glamor is weak so when he was a kid I imagine it was more difficult to keep his body heat at a healthy level. You mentioned that cold and hot things are the opposite for blaze borns so it would make sense that being cold for a blaze born isn't a healthy thing so the avain trio (most of the time Jimmy) would put their wing around Tango to help maintain his temperature heat anytime they were around him to the point it's second nature to the avain trio (yes I feel like it has left to some awkward moments because imagine you sit down next to the pesky trio and mid conversation your vision gets blocked by feathers and the avians doesn't even realize it till moments later.

3.Tango has a basket decated to avain feathers (and any other stuff his friends will leave behind in his house) and the basket isn't like a small trash can its one of those huge hampers that is constantly full of feathers ranging fron many different colors and sizes (Tango is always finding feathers everywhere zed has probably noticed a feather or two mabye even the hamper full of feathers he just hasent asked about it yet) (thats if they do come over because we've learned that they normally go over to the slab family)

4. Jimmy and Tango most definitely have adult cuddle time whenever possible, yes they might have their own mans but they both need their friend (sibling) cuddle time (they have been doing this since they were kids it isn't going away anytime soon)

5. To add on with the cuddle time (I have multiple things to add about cuddle time) as kids Tango didn't like sleeping because it left time to think so a lot of the time Jimmy would "fall off his hammock" to sleep next to Tango/or Jimmy would make quiet noises to try and distract Tango for a little bit

6. Tango has a Hammock for his avain friends which isn't normally put up but its extremely easy to put up, all you have to do is put the hammock pins into the hooks

I started these a few months ago and forgot about it but I've decided to show you them so they don't go to waste, I would personally change a few of these but still, I love the ranchers forget the relationships sleepovers I need a ranchers sleepover of them being silly because little spark is only making me go more insane 😊🙏

INITIAL THOUGHTS ON ARCANE SEASON 2 ACT 1 (EPISODES 1-3)

(i’m not good at putting my thoughts into words so feel free to give your own opinions, i rlly wanna hear them)

SPOILERS AHEAD///

ok so my biggest critique is the pacing. everything is very quick very fast and a lot is going on. i understand that this is immediately after a large event which of course caused a reaction however it was just very intense and a lot to keep up with especially considering the amount of new and confusing things introduced throughout the three episodes with minimal slow down. it was alittle difficult to keep up. the timeline of the show is confusing and i have no idea how long it has been between scenes. viktor was barely in that weird healing chamber for a few scenes before he was emerging as someone new. caitlyn and vi were going from loving to fighting to understanding to fighting again very quickly with little time to develop independently, their kiss and divorce weren’t even 30 minutes apart from each other. also, who the fuck is this kid hanging around with jinx?? why is she following her, why doesn’t she talk, what’s her name, how long has she been with her?? this lack of time to let things develop has caused these episodes to feel rushed.

with this introduction of many new things some have left me with a lot of questions. my biggest issue revolves around the arcane. i literally do not recall it being mentioned or being an important topic in s1 but all of a sudden jayce knows a fuck ton about it as well as heimerdinger? when did he learn this? i assume it’s from viktors notes and research but that still fails to cover the amount of knowledge jayce now possesses.

HOWEVER THE ARCANE IS VERY COOL AND IM VERY VERY INVESTED. i absolutely love the changes to viktor, his weird apathy and changes are definitely rushed but so interesting to see, his design and behaviour are so very compelling and im very excited to see the development. additionally, this group dynamic between jayce, ekko and heimerdinger is soooooo fun. it offers a break from the intensity with some silliness i think is desperately needed, plus it’s super satisfying to see the trio bounce off each other. that final scene of them in ep3 was visually incredible and i loved seeing the effects upon the hextech weapons during the jinx, sevika vs vi, caitlyn fight. the scene of viktor amongst the shimmer infected was very interesting and it was so cool to truly see the severe effects of shimmer and the inhumanity of viktor is making a clear route towards his glorious evolution which is am keen to watch.

that ambessa reveal at the end was INCREDIBLE. i genuinely didn’t see it coming and it made my jaw DROP. the quiet, smart suspicion from mel is always incredible to see, her political mind and morals conflicting is so very engaging and she’s really developing into herself in these episodes which was a joy to witness. the mystery of her brother is compelling and links well through s1 and s2 to make the storyline fun to follow. i also simply must compliment the designs revolving around the noxians and animal-esque (sorry idk what they’re called) people. the absolute variety and inspiration from real life cultures is beautiful to see. i am incredibly confused about the magic and that one lady (amara?) but i assume that’ll be answered in later episodes.

jinx is not looking good lmao. i love her design being so corpse-like and deathly, it really fits well and really embraces the differences between powder and jinx. but i do wish we saw more of her. i see her actions but i lack understanding for some of them, primarily revolving around the child (isha?) and why the kids even there but the newfound bond between sevika and jinx is refreshing to see. the scene of them in silcos old office brought a smile to my face and the design of that fucking arm is soooo cool i love the clownish purely jinx vibe to it.

caitlyn is probably the stand out character so far (plus maybe viktor). her absolute grief and seeing her facade break down throughout the episodes was heartbreaking, the tentative yet conflicting moments of softness with vi were beautiful yet had that perfect undercurrent of tragedy that arcane masters so well. her rage and break up with vi was easy to see coming yet so incredibly jarring to watch, that harsh and merciless behaviour is so different from s1, the development is well done and a morbid pleasure to see. and that final episode. oh my. the shock to acceptance of darkness was fantastic, ambessa truly is a master at manipulating weakness in even the strongest of people and seeing this duo is going to be so soul crushing that i’m itching for more.

vi felt very rushed to me and alittle dry? idk why tho i can’t really explain it. i understand her choices but it felt like something was missing until that final scene with cait. that was an absolute masterpiece. seeing her realising that the horrors of war is corrupting everyone around her and pleading for it to please not happen is so so SO fucking sad and my heart was breaking. i loved seeing her moral strength and solidity to her values which has always been a key part of her character so i appreciate the consistency. idk why something about her was just… different.

the opening scene was incredible. the absolute horror of it was so clear and i was literally shaking the entire time. 10/10 opening.

overall, i hope things slow down alittle but i greatly enjoyed season 2 and im very excited to see the characters develop and to see even more of this beautiful world.

Sometime down the line, Echo and Viram decide to adopt Deke and he is an absolute Mama's boy. Their other two boys are Tikan and Zisanu, and they are a handful and a half. Tikan's a little rascal who is always up to protect his little brother, should he get into any trouble (and he tends to). It's a little difficult to juggle a rebellion and three boys, but, of course, she and Echo wouldn't have it any other way!

Khea with her ad'ika's!

What happens when you put a clone and a Mandalorian together as parents? You end up with a lot of kids! The first of their kiddos was Itri, a Foundling Khea took under her wing. Later on, they adopted Stak and then came their own kiddos. First were the twins, Maia and Marama, a dynamic duo with pranks up their sleeves and adventures to tackle. Then, of course, is the baby of the family, Elio. A more soft-spoken individual compared to his family who reminds Khea a lot of her late younger brother. While they can all be a lot, Khea is constantly grateful of how they've helped encourage her to continue to grow as a person.

There's no shortage of adventures in the Genoa household. Whether it's exploring planets, discovering and recovering ancient relics, or just watching old footage of Tech's riot racing before bed–there's always something fun to be done. Their oldest, Vela, has inherited her parents' skills and talents in piloting and has an interest in cartography. On the other hand, her younger brother, Rangi, inherited his mother's love of adventure and loves to record all the adventures they go on in his datapad–hoping to one day write a book of sorts.

Tay'kaa with his moms!

First up we have a younger kid Tay during his time in the gladiatorial arena with his mentor/surrogate mom, Ko D'Ruq. Aka the "Daemon Devaronian" and the reigning champ in The Cauldron. She was the one who took him under her wing and trained him so that he'd have a chance of survival in that hell pit they were stuck in. Unfortunately, she would not last and it wouldn't be until later down the line that Tay would get connected with Na'yeli Marr, a Kessurian whom Ko loved dearly and Tay promised to look after once he was free.

@here-comes-the-moose and I are always joking about how at that point in Tay's life he's nearing 30 and is still living with his mom. There is absolutely no shame in that, but there's something incredibly amusing about a former gladiator turned mercenary who once worked for a crime syndicate and now the Empire not being able to stay out late because his mom wants him home to help with dinner. No way he's going to say "no" though, the man is an absolute mama's boy.

Then of course, last but not least, we've got Echo with his ducklings Omega and Crosshair. What a trio! No wonder they had to be separated for most of The Bad Batch, if they hadn't then everything would've been resolved in like a season. Still can't believe we got a "What? No hug for me?" from Crosshair to Echo.

AND I PRESENT TO THE WORLD MY BELOVED STRAWBERRY COOKIE IN MY AU CALLED

Baked with Blood!

I am once again thanking my number one enabler @jazaspen4, I would not have went this far without prompting.

Strawberry Cookie was not made with actual strawberries, only the flavoring. This, for her, was a great source of shame. One that she could not even make up for with her immense physical strength. If only she could come to understand that her yummy strawberry scent is one of the many reasons her friends and family love her, and that they would always love her regardless!

Strawberry cookie is not a fighter. She can and will fight if need be. She is strong and fast, and though Gingerbrave outclasses her in stamina, that does not mean hers is anything to scoff at. Strawberry cookie was the strongest by far amongst her siblings when it came to physical strength. Something that is proved by how quick and agile she is while dragging around her massive lollipop.

Still, she'd rather avoid conflict in general. The main reason is to avoid hurting other cookies in general. However, it's also because she is forced to use up her fragance to keep up if a fight takes too long. She was baked by a Witch, so she is fortunate enough that her flavouring will replenish itself on its own over time, and consuming strawberry flavoured items helps speed this up as well. Another reason for her lollipop is to avoid running out of her fragance when in the middle of a fight. She doesn't know what will happen if she does run out, neither her or her siblings truly want to find out.

Strawberry Cookie thus opts to keep as much as her flavor close to herself and to stay quiet and quick on her feet. She uses her fragance in quick short burst, avoiding hits and disappearing out of the enemy's line of sight before striking fast and hard. Losing sight of her in battle is a mistake.

The trio were all baked within the same year, and Strawberry Cookie is the second oldest. The dough used to make her was actually leftover dough used to bake cookies with actual strawberries, the Witch ran out of strawberries and though she disliked the artificial fragance of strawberry cookies, she did not want to waste dough. This means that Strawberry Cookie and her magical lollipop are made of the same magic syrup! Yay! Fun!

Not so fun! The Witch added life powder to this batch to make up for the artificial fragance, the reason why Strawberry was born at all. Strawberry Cookie fell off the plate as soon as the Witch set it down on the table, gaining awareness as she remained hidden by the edges and forced to remain quiet as she wept while she heard the crunches and snaps of her batch mates being devoured all while the Witch mourned this being a waste of dough and that magical artificial fragance did not compare to the real thing even with life powder and extra sugar added to it, and that it was an even bigger waste considering they were baked just right.

Strawberry Cookie was quick to scurry away at the first oppurtunity, forcing her fragance to cling to her dough and running as fast as she could.

And there you have our little berry's origin!

I will get into her dynamic with the group after I'm done drawing them! I especially can't wait to go into the group's dynamic with Dark Echantress Cookie, the Ancients, the Beasts, and especially Pure Vanilla Cookie because in this AU he officially adopts them, no I don't make the rules. Actually, yes, I do, so they are getting adopted!

I will post the first chapter of the fic as soon as I am done with drawing the other two! This way at least guarantees a fixed posting schedule for a while!

been rereading tgcf and I wanna talk about it.

Ultimately it is a tale of resilience and perseverance and the strength and power of actively choosing kindness, breaking out of trauma cycles and of course forging your own, third path.

Just before arc 4 you get this whole xianle trio reunion and hc chase shenanigans. The cave of ten thousand gods is great because finally xie lian knows the truth (or half of it), hua cheng is embarassed, scared and vulnerable but he still won’t just cower in the corner. He takes care of xie lian even if his old friends think he’s nuts and want to protect xl from hc. But they never even listen to what he thinks or wants. (Ofcourse sometimes people don’t recognize it themselves if they’re being harmed.)

Anyways everything’s out in the open and feelings and care get returned, hooray!

Then in the flashback we see the trio again and their dynamic, their positions, the hierarchy between them, even as theyre facing poverty together, Xls leftover naïveté and ignorance and what formed the dynamics of their present.

„Xie Lian had always believed in "forever" —friends would always be friends forever, with no betrayal, no deception, no breaking up. Perhaps there would come a time when they had to part, but it wouldn't be for a reason like "things got too horrible."”

The absolute heartbreak of friendship breakups. And yet even though he truly saw them as friends how could it be when there is such a clear hierarchy between them? Mu Qing had to take care of his own mother along with Xie Lians parents and the three of them. Feng Xin couldn’t even tell him about Jian Lan. He was trying to earn money for them and for her at the same time. And he stayed unwaveringly beside him until he could not recognize xie lian anymore.

In arc 2 we saw who xie lian was 800 years ago and some of what knocked him down. But now we see he’s still a (defeated) crown prince and newly fallen god. He has to adjust to his new life. He’s proud. He’s humbled but still far away from his present day personality.

We see how much more he had to endure. Trauma he had to go through that no one even sees. That time when white no face/bai wuxiang would show himself to him but no one else could see?

He was (left) alone in his suffering, (besides a ghost that he couldn’t even recognize), but how could anyone support him if they did not know or understand what was going on? So with there being no one left to comfort xl beside white no face after everything, xl even feels touched by it in a corner of his heart. But still clearly and continuously sees and rejects him for and fights against the monster he is.

This is where the choosing kindness and overcoming trauma part comes.

To seek out and recover goodness and your own heart.

And how significant one act of kindness can be, how much it can move.

“One person. Just one. Really. Just one person was enough.”

Him choosing to wait for just one person to show and prove their humanity, proving with all his effort white no face still could not simply turn him into a copy, make him turn against his own humanity in the long term.

We also see the contrast of true harmful of obsession and stalking and true but not unseeing love and devotion. The little ghost fire and Wu Ming loving and wishing to protect him without even letting him know who he is.

Removing themselves when xie lian tells him to and yet also having a mind of his own and doing things against what he’s told. (The wall of ghost fires, the flower, the end.)

He sees xl but he doesn’t stop believing in or loving him. And the tragedy is that it is exactly what xl needs in that time but he can’t recognize it because of his trauma.

Is Hua Cheng boring and slightly codependent because of that? Because he is focused so much on Xie Lian? Maybe but I think because he does have so much of his own mind and makes his own decisions, against what xl tells him to or makes him look good, like in the beginning of the volume too, I think he’s interesting and sometimes seeing your loved one go through the worst will just do that with you. (Also he has his very own ideas about heaven and the systems in place and built up ghost city on his own. He doesn’t even agree with or want to follow xls path for himself. But what we also always see is their mutual respect for one another, never trying to change the other or force them.)

my personal favourite always always is avenging spider-man #12 + #13. the only spideypool comic ever. it's probably the benchmark for how i write their dynamic.

other than that, the spideypool annual is a classic. but peter's like, unconscious through most of it. technically he's unconscious through most of avenging spider-man #12 too. i don't know why peter's usually unconscious in the spideypool books.

god i miss stand-alone issues with simple plotlines that just have silly fun with their concept.

one underrated spideypool interaction i really like but a lot of people haven't read! identity wars (2011) - it's kind of an insane book. spider-man, deadpool and the hulk (weird trio) all wind up in an alternate universe where, get this. uncle ben never died and spider-man is evil.

but not like sexy evil. like evil evil. like collecting other spider-man and draining their powers evil.

and wade is also evil. he's like, dr doom evil.

ONE PIECE CHAPTER 1136 SPOILERS!

It's been a while since I've commented on a chapter here because I've been lazy but the occasion deserves it, fellow zonami and romance dawn trio enthusiasts!

First of all, I'm glad I can trust Oda to always draw Zoro and Nami abusing their respective livers together. This will be interaction we'll never be missing and I appreciate it.

Second, this has reminded me of when someone discovered that Zoro is the only mugiwara we know for sure has killed someone in canon (we assume at least Luffy and Robin have as well but they're just guesses, nothing confirmed) and it always makes me think of the same meme.

Which by the way, the little detail of Usopp being the one who stopped Zoro from being a menace… I love it when it shows that Luffy isn't the only one who has power over Zoro and that he values what any of his nakamas tell him. And it makes me especially happy as the Zoro and Usopp truther that I am, they have one of my favorite dynamics within the mugiwaras and I will never let you forget that.

And finally, some time ago someone asked me this question and I am ecstatic because right now it seems Oda, in fact, is about to prove me wrong. I hope this drags on for a few chapters, considering where they're going and what's happening in Elbaf…the repercussions on the overall plot of the arc would be huge.

PS: This panel of Zoro after Luffy argues to him that he shouldn't judge Loki solely on what the others have said has not escaped my attention. I wonder if it made him think about himself, his own reputation before he met Luffy, or the reputation they themselves have now. Because the world has been twisting the truth about them almost from the beginning and there is always the possibility that the same thing has happened to Loki.
