GOD South Africa was a time!!! I love you so much (and I love the new nicknames - lil sprout??? lol bean??? 🥺🥺🥺) please take care ily ily <333 🌱

Steve was sitting at a long table signing autographs, his handler passing down photos, toys, or gaming consoles for the attendees. Each item had a sticky note with the person’s name written on it.

It was Day 2 of this specific Gaming convention. Eddie didn’t do too much gaming on his streams, but he was Steve’s plus one for moral support.

The older of the two had been coming down with something since they’d arrived, mainly sitting quietly in the back sipping tea or something. Today though, his nose was ticklish and irritated. Steve had requested a. Signing room with a small bean bag in the corner, where Eddie was lounging with a box of tissues.

“H’NGKtchew! Ixxt’chEW! Tsschew!”

“Bless you.” Steve turned around in his seat before turning his attention back to the shirt he was signing for Danny, a younger boy dressed as his character.

“Thanks.” Eddie mumbled, pulling a tissue to blow his nose.

Steve was endlessly impressed by the art and thoughtful gifts that his fans were giving him as he was signing. Every now and then he’d turn around to show Eddie - once even throwing a plush among us toy at him.

“Bless you, Eddie!” Said a woman in her mid 20’s, currently gushing to Steve about how much she appreciated his streams.

“Tha’gks, love.” He called back, taking a sip of his tea.

The woman leaned in to Steve and whispered, “Is he okay?”, clearly concerned.

“Yeah, he’s got a cold though.” Steve smiled at her caring intent, earning a couple of ‘awww’s from other fans in line.

Steve turned around, watching his boyfriend struggle through another buildup, “Hey Eds! They’re worried about you. You okay?”

Face still buried in the crook of his elbow, he held a thumbs up over his head so they could all see it.

“Awww take him home Steve. Poor guy…”

Steve laughed, “I’ll tell you, HE insisted on being here instead of staying at the hotel like I suggested.”

Eddie got up from the beanbag and draped himself over Steve, “What ki’d of ru’bors are you spreadi’g about mbe?” He joked.

“Just telling them how stubborn you are sometimes.” Steve turned to smile at Eddie and kissed the top of his head. “You sure you don’t want to go lie down at the hotel? You can order some soup.”

“Mmmmmm” he hummed in thought for a minute and then quickly turned, stumbling away from the table, “HK’tschIEW! Fuck. Yeah okay. Mbaybe you’re right.”

Eddie sniffled as he grabbed his water bottle and phone, Steve grabbing his hand from the table, “I’ll be back soon yeah?”

“M’kay.” Eddie smiled at Steve and then saluted at the fans in line before ducking out of the curtain behind Steve to head back to the hotel.

The fans were whispering amongst themselves. “On three.” One girl said, “One-two-THREE!”

“FEEL BETTER EDDIE!”

The man in question poked his head back in through the curtain, blowing a quick kiss to the fans before disappearing once again.
