So I decided to test if I still have Issues with wearing knit socks as-is

So I put on a pair that I've actually worn before, but on top of socks I can actually wear

And went to pick up the yarns that have been waiting for me at the pick-up

And, well, this part went perfectly well

But my feet are in agony, even though stomping around at home before leaving was absolutely fine, and have been in agony since I left. So no, I still feel every stitch and the way they move with each step

Idk if socks knit with something softer, like merino, would help, but the 100% superwash merino "sock" yarn I got, I intended to use for shawls. Because with their softness and zero additional fibers, they don't feel practical. Though somewhere in that colourful pile there were skeins with 25% polyamide?..
