Btw most fucked up thing in the whole world is that 1) I don't get to hear antons voice around the house all day and 2) my brain still hasn't memorized it enough to easily replicate it. I looovveee his voice but a lot of the time I can't actually hear it in my head if I don't listen to it first. Sad!!!!!!!!

uncommon opinion. ant phillips is the swaggiest member of genesis

#yes he was only there for two albums. yes the first one sucked #no he never performed live after 1970. which is insane to me #but his solo albums are so good. for the most part #his voice is lovely he makes such catchy melodies his 12-string fingerpicking abilities are unsurpassed #he frequently made up fake personnel for his albums which is so funny to me #one of which is named vic stench. who is just ant #great url idea tbh..#when ant left genesis they really thought they were going to break up because he was so important to the group..#...obviously that didnt happen lol #and he is so charming. he didnt/doesnt do many interviews but in the ones he did his personality is delightful and genuine #idk how any of that equates to swag honestly LOL its just a funny thing to say #ive never listened to mike's solo work but of every other genesis members solo stuff i like ants the best #and like i said in a previous post his voice held up astonishingly well #(from the one track with vocals thats been released so far)#i have to write him fanmail. i have to #so far chris squire is the only person whos responded to a dm lol #99% sure ive said this but ive also tried pete sinfield (email) phil manzanera (insta) and andy mackay (insta) i think thats it?#oh and peter hammill thru email. duh #andy left me on read LOL #wow im off track. anywya #a beast that can talk

god i really hope the concordia and anthea stuff is as good as i remember it being bc ngl the plasma arc has really been lacking

#i didnt even remember N started traveling with them at one point tbh i thought they only sporatically met up #and i can see why i forgot bc he does practically nothing in these episodes. which REALLY sucks bc holy shit #thats a ton of missed potential when he can literally talk to pokemon and consideringhis beliefs #during the last episode N couldve only learned charizards backstory tbh and that couldve led him on a tirade abt how awful humans are #and then ash and charizards actual bond comes through and he learns that ash has helped charizard and charizard still loves humanity #maybe even retcon the disobedience arc to connect to that. but no he has a one off line abt how hes disgusted w charmanders trainer #and he sees charizard and he really just goes goo goo eyes at it like everyone else in the episode #like??? was he just added in at the last minute bc they thought itd flow better than him just showing up in driftveil??#idk the episodes where he... yknow... does things relevant to his character are still really good but the filler is dragging this arc down #also nitpick but N was knocked flat out so why didnt team plasma attempt to take him here #they knew he was and they want to capture him but they just... dont? and run off anyways #have concordia and anthea save him from an attack from them guys have them be even more swag #echoed voice #pokeani lb #idk i know N is supposed to be his bw2 self but its clear hes supposed to have lingering resentment towards humanity #so its weird that he only gets one off lines that are ultimately ignored
