Anson Mount on theatre roles he'd like to play

When Anson was at Dragon Con in September 2022 promoting Star Trek: Stange New Worlds, a fan in the audience asked him what theatre roles he's always wanted to play.

Anson mentioned Hamlet by William Shakespeare, Uncle Vanya by Anton Chekhov (the role of Mikhail Lvovich Astrov, a country doctor), and The Changeling by Thomas Middleton and William Rowley (the role of De Flores, servant to Vermandero). The fan also brought up Shakespeare's Macbeth and Anson said he's played the role of Malcolm (Elder son of Duncan, king of Scotland) before.

In 2020 Anson played Uncle Vanya's Dr. Astrov in a virtual theatre production of the play (gifs here and here).

Uncle Vanya portrays the visit of an elderly professor and his glamorous, much younger second wife, Yelena, to the rural estate that supports their urban lifestyle. Two friends - Vanya, brother of the professor’s late first wife, who has long managed the estate, and Astrov, the local doctor - both fall under Yelena’s spell, while bemoaning the ennui of their provincial existence.

The Changeling is about young Beatrice who is in love with a visiting nobleman, Alsemero. However, her father has already arranged her marriage to Alonzo, another nobleman. Desperate to be with her love, Beatrice enlists the help of De Flores, a cunning but ugly servant, a deceptive man obsessed with her and determined to claim her virtue. While she initially resists him, Beatrice is drawn into lustful complicity with De Flores, and together they set in motion a chain of love, lust, madness, and death.

I knooow that it's slowed down, nevertheless all expressions we see here are real. And look at that 5th GIF. Look at it. How soft Richard places his hand on that beautiful neck. How Richards bright smile slowly fades and for a brief moment shows this expression of...bittersweet longing? Passion? How he averts his gaze from Pauls eyes to his lips is just so...is this even real? And Richards face afterwards - he's beaming with joy! Pure bliss. I've watched this so many times and still sigh heavily.

Then this one here (Bern, 17th June 2023):

My heart is overflowing with love everytime I see it - because I have the feeling that Pauls heart actually in that moment is overflowing with love. This was totally unscripted, and it shows. It was a spontaneous reaction from Paul, feeling that Richard needed some sort of support (the "well, it is what it is" - gesture or Richard after the kiss kind of confirms this to me). It's a consoling gesture to me, because Paul is also caressing his shoulder and even came back again to caress him again. This kiss is SO unexpected, so hinest and real - and special because Paul took both hands to cup Richards head. Such a warm, caring loving gesture. Also there are snippets that show Richards expression - and it's soo lovely to see his expression change from "I'm totally cool" to a blank "??!" to that heartmelting smile. Also this has such a special place in my heart because I saw it live from second row and I screamed SO loud that everyone around was probably deaf afterwards. The two concerts in Bern were an absolute blast, first row the next day - mindblowing. And that kiss made my heart burst and still does <3

And then: YES, I totally have to agree - that last kiss in Mexico 4th October 2022 will forever live rent-free in my head.

This is a real kiss. So full of emotions, it could be THE goodbye kiss in a romantic movie when the couple has to seperate.

First, there's fun, playing around. Then the kiss, full of passion - and suddenly...grief. Pain. Sadness. I once did a lengthy analysis of this kiss (#kiss analysis ... you guys know this by now maybe ^^;). Richard definitely fights for composure here and it's ...god, when I think about it, it makes me so weak. It's surely because he realizes the tour is over and not because he will lose Paul - he doesn't lose him of course, he's his bandmate. But seeing his expression and how tight he hugs Paul and how tight Paul hugs back - good god, this doesn't only pull my heartstrings, it shredds them.

Best kiss ever, I tell you. Can only be topped by a french kiss!

Steve had a habit of overthinking things ever since he was just a young scrawny boy who couldn’t run down the street without wheezing and gasping for breath, his overthinking tendencies haven’t changed unlike his body and health. Always overthinking and worrying about the smallest things.

Like right now he paces back and forth, up and down, around the bed and every now and again he would lightly tug at his hair. He knew himself that he was overthinking things once again but he just couldn’t help it. The thought of things going wrong had his mind racing, trying to think of all the ways he could fix each scenario that could happen.

He finally had something good in his long existence that he did not want to mess up, he was finally happy and he wanted that happiness forever.

“Stevie are you ready?” Oh the way his heart fluttered hearing the voice belonging to his other half. “Steve?”

“Yeah… no I’m not ready, sorry love”

“That’s okay, I can help you if you want?” He’s always loved that about her, no matter what or who you are she would help you. That’s how they actually met.

Four years ago Steve and the rest of the Avengers were downtown fighting against the aliens that were destroying their city. It was chaotic. The terrifying screams of civilians rushing and shoving each other trying desperately to escape, the loud screeching from their enemies, the surrounding buildings being destroyed and crumbling down around them.

Steve’s eyes bounced around the area trying to find a way to get the upper hand when his eyes land on a woman running towards one of the creatures who had its back to her. His first reaction was to frown, it was just him and his found family that were crazy enough to run towards the fight whilst everyone else ran away so why on earth wasn’t she? He watched as she picked up the bumper of a wrecked car, pulling it back and swinging it, striking the creature in its side getting its attention on her, she stumbled back as it came towards her just as he went to throw his shield she shocked him again by raising the bumper above her head bringing it down on the creature’s head. And again. And again. And again.

Once it was finally down and no longer moving she ran over to where the alien was going over towards, his heart clenched when he saw her picking up a little child. Steve could hear the little boy crying for his mommy and the woman telling him that she was going to take him to her.

It wasn’t the last time he saw her that day, no he found her after they defeated the enemy, she was tending to the people who had been injured in the attack.

“H-hi ma’am” he stuttered out behind her.

“Hi? Oh, Captain America, hi!”

“That little boy? From earlier, is-is he okay?”

“Thankfully he wasn’t injured, I found his mom they got separated when everyone started running. But I’m happy he’s okay”

“Is he your nephew or something?”

“No, I just saw him crying on the ground and that thing trying to get him.”

“You’re a good person.”

For the rest of the day Steve stayed by her side helping with the clear up, they laughed and joked about everything and anything Steve appreciated that she took his mind off of things that happened only a couple of hours prior. Just as she was about to leave Steve shyly asked for her number.

After weeks of texting back and forth each smiling and giggling like schoolgirls Steve gained the courage to ask her out on a date which she replied instantly and eagerly with a yes.

Asking her if she would be his girlfriend was the best day of his life especially when she said yes and then she kissed him.

“Steve?”

Her voice cuts his trip down memory lane off. “Yes love?”

“Are you okay? D-do you-are you having second thoughts about moving in together?”

A year into dating Y/n brought it up to him one night when the were cuddled up in bed about the prospect of him living with her, it made sense since when Steve wasn’t on missions or training he was there at her home. The blond agreed happily.

“What? No Y/n-“

“It-it’s okay if you are-“

“Y/n, love I’m not having seconds thoughts I’m just overthinking about things, but I swear baby I want this” wrapping his arms around her waist he pulls her into his chest, placing a lingering kiss to her forehead.

“Are you sure?”

“I’m more than sure my love. You want to help me pack the rest of my things?”

“Of course but you’re carrying everything, mister.” Laughing and agreeing with her, they began packing the remaining of his things.

Looking around at the apartment that his things now occupied alongside his other half’s he was watching as she rearranged the photos of them on the shelve above the fireplace.

“I love you Y/n/n”

“I love you Stevie”

He finally found his place in this world, right here in the apartment he now shared with his love, and there wasn’t anywhere else he would rather be.

Ooh this would be a better question for @alittleflashvibe (who can absolutely feel free to hop in with reblogs or comments or whatever, really 👀) but I will take a crack at it myself:

So first of all, let me preface by saying, none of this is going to be me going “see?? No platonic explanation!!” because that’s a) canonically false and b) nonsense. Barrisco, for all that I do ship them, is canonically a friendship, and I value that highly. You can absolutely choose to interpret this all as solely platonic, and that’s totally fine! Their relationship is strong either way, and it’s not “better” or “worse” from either perspective. So just keep that in mind.

Second of all, I’ll assume you’re someone who’s open to shipping Barry with guys (otherwise this discussion is sorta pointless 😅).

Third of all, this will include comparisons to Westallen because...duh, they're canonically romantic, and I need a point of comparison. I love both ships, mind you, this is simply for academic purposes.

Okay so we know Barry does this a lot, right? Almost exclusively with Iris (his canon best-friend-who-he-has-a-crush-on -> girlfriend/fiancée -> wife)…and with Cisco. Cisco, too, does this a lot. Observe, if you will:

Look at how alike the scenes are. Barry's heart eyes in those scenes...IMMACULATE! He doesn't give those heart eyes to anyone else

Bonus: notice Cisco’s reactions when we do see them. Earnestly hanging on Barry’s words…and Barry’s encouragement gets him to smile 🥰 just like Iris whenever Barry encourages her (see: the s4 scene when he encourages her as Team Leader and she smiles sincerely through her tears)!

Physical touch is canonically the way Barry shows his affection/love (“we all know touch is your love language” is a canon line of dialogue). He does it with Joe, Henry, Iris…and a lot with Cisco, who constantly touches/hugs Barry too:

Oh and uh...remember when I said we'd get back to talking about Cisco doing something risky to save his life? Let's talk about that for a second.

Let's talk about how Iris and Cisco react to losing/the prospect of losing Barry post-s3/s4 and s6:

Post-s3:

Iris: Quits her job, becomes Team Leader in Barry's absence so she can use her skills to help out, wanting to honor Barry's words ("keep growing, keep loving, keep running, for me") and knowing Cisco can't lead the Team alone because he's strung out. Argues with Cisco about getting Barry back, because she is understandably worried that it'll make things worse, cost them someone else...and/or Barry will either already be dead, or will die as a result of their actions (i.e. she fears losing Barry all over again)

Cisco: Hyperfocuses on saving Barry ("quits his job", so to speak, because he's not being Team Leader as Barry intended), uses his skills to help out by building a Quark sphere to save Barry, goes forward with his plan despite Iris's misgivings so he can honor Barry's words ("he also said that everyone would look to me after he was gone. So look to me."). In the aftermath, modifies the suit extensively because he fears losing Barry all over again)

s6:

Iris: Is distraught and horrified at how easily Barry accepts his death, tries to talk him out of it. She takes up the charge of recruiting Ryan Choi, Paragon of Humanity, empathizes with him about his fear, draws on their similarities to convince him.

(She does not pull risky manuevers here, since it's E90 Barry who saves our Barry, but she did back in s3, when she shot Savitar, a speedster and her almost-killer (and also a future version of Barry), to save Barry's life)

Cisco: Makes a risky call to try and save Barry's life, defends himself fiercely when Barry gets upset about it, is distraught and horrified at how easily Barry accepts his death

Bonus:

it's relief in Barry's eyes there, and worry. Barry was mad at Cisco earlier in the episode, but...in this moment, none of that matters. Cisco's doing something risky to save his life (as he canonically does often) and Barry's relieved but also terrified it might go sour. And...well, you saw from one of the gifs earlier how enthusiastic he was once this rescue succeeded - he beamed up at him, all "you've always been my hero" (canon quote) and took his hand to be helped up, just like in a fairytale.

H = Hair (how well groomed are they? does the carpet match the drapes? etc.)

Aesop is very hirsute. Particularly on his chest and stomach, his pubic area, his forearms and his legs. His back and bottom are mostly bare, save for a light peach fuzz. He keeps himself tidy, his pubes neatly trimmed regularly, even before you become intimate together, mainly because of hygiene and his own comfort. His body hair is dark and soft to the touch.

I = Intimacy (how are they during the moment? the romantic aspect)

He spent a lot of time being emotionally unavailable, the few sexual encounters after his injury being anything but intimate. So when you appear in his life, he realises just how touch starved he is. He is very intimate, very contact focused and very intense. He needs to have you entirely, anything less is simply not enough. He often kisses during sex, and he gives you breathless little praises and compliments, which are rolling off his tongue nearly unconsciously.

Barely, both before and after entering a relationship with you. Before: as the afterglow passed, he was left bitter and sorrowful, because he was all alone, because his pleasure was brought by his own right hand as opposed to some beautiful witch who actually desired him. The only time he really allowed himself to indulge was after drinking a phial of Draught of Peace, before going to sleep. 

There is a bit of an increase in his indulging after you two are in a relationship but are not yet intimate. He doesn’t feel bitter after that, as he’s imagining you and keeps telling himself that his fantasies will get fulfilled later on in your relationship. They indeed do, and his masturbation rate goes down again.  

K = Kink (one or more of their kinks)

He can get rather possessive and dominant, if you let him, marking your skin with his teeth  and being a little more rough. There can be hair pulling, maybe some light choking, a lot of biting. He’ll love it if you pull on his hair as well, or maybe slap him a little. He’s also quite fond of blindfolding you and tying you to the bed, edging you until you beg for him (you don’t even remember whether you’re begging for him to stop or continue at that point).

The bed, most definitely, as he likes to nap for a bit after sex. Considering how intimacy and touch starved he is, it really doesn’t take a lot, given he is in the right mindset. He can get a little rough, you may leave his bed bruised, sore, and overstimulated, with visible bite marks, but you’ll do so being called ‘beautiful’, and ‘brilliant’ and ‘his good girl’. Semi-public sex is quite alright with him if he knows the two of you won’t get caught. He really doesn’t want to get caught; Firstly because he doesn’t want your honour to suffer because of it, and secondly because what you two have together is yours, and only yours. He’s a very private person who believes your lovemakings should be just that: private.

O = Oral (preference in giving or receiving, skill, etc.)

Aesop Sharp can go down on you like he’s getting paid for it. He’s very very skilled with his mouth, using everything, tongue, lips and teeth. He’s normally a little self-conscious about his slightly crooked teeth and large nose, but they both prove plenty useful when he’s using his mouth on you. He loves doing it, in all honesty, and he can go on doing it for hours. It’s absolutely no problem for him to finish with you, as he pushes you over the edge with his mouth, devouring you like a man starved. 

He likes receiving as much as any other fellow, praising you throughout, his fingers combing through your hair gently. He doesn’t push you unless you ask him to, doesn’t thrust up into your mouth unless he knows you can handle it. Preferes to take his time, build your mutual pleasure steadily, let it fill you entirely and only then he picks up the pace considerably, the sudden change in speed making the inevitable climax more intense. However, as was said before, he’s a very skilled, generous lover and he absolutely can adapt to whichever mood either of you may have. There have been lovemakings so slow and sweet, that neither of you raise your voice even upon your orgasm, and there of course were couplings so hard and fast, you were close to fainting by the end of them. Aesop can do it all and he can do it really well.

Q = Quickie (their opinions on quickies, how often, etc.)

Occasionally. He really likes to take his time, and he’s a major foreplay enthusiast, but there are days when one or both of you simply don’t have enough time, despite wanting to be intimate together. Aesop is effective, meticulous and passionate, like he is in everything he does. Both of you are able to reach your finish in a matter of minutes, giving each other blissed out smiles and kisses, hanging onto one another as if your lives depended on it. However, if there is even a small chance that Aesop would be able to have normal, unhurried sex with you if he only waits a few hours, he will forgo the quickie.

R = Risk (are they game to experiment? Do they take risks? etc.)

He’s definitely willing to experiment, not judging anything until he’s tried it, unless it’s something very risky and potentially dangerous. That’s where he draws the line. It still leaves a lot of wonderful things for you to try and decide if it’s something you enjoy together or not. Temperature play with ice? Lovely, exciting, will do again. Wax play? Well, you were nearly certain you probably did it wrong, but you did it wrong enough for you to never want to try it again. Ouch.

S = Stamina (how many rounds can they go for? how long do they last?)

He has brilliant stamina and control, and can last for a long time, but he does have a longer recovery period, which he blames on his age. You disagree with the statement wholeheartedly, blaming it instead on the fact that he’s perfectly able to be at it for hours if he wants to. He can go for two quite lengthy, mind blowing rounds with a pause between, perhaps a little nap, too.

T = Toys (do they own toys? do they use them? on a partner or themselves?)

He does own a few fun things he likes to use. Velvety blindfolds and tapes to bind you, an assortment of objects to be used on you once you’ve been properly restrained, ranging from a fluffy feather to a (very carefully used) crop. They are used only occasionally, to spice things up a bit, for example after you’ve both had a long, difficult day. He’s been on the receiving end of these a couple of times, and is a little embarrassed to say how much he enjoyed it.

U = Unfair (how much they like to tease)

He does enjoy a fair share of teasing, but he’s never mean in it. He may edge you a little if you’re both comfortable with it, he may miss your sweet spots on purpose in order to make your arousal grow just a little more, but if he sees you’re really desperate, if he knows you really need to come, he won’t dare rid you of the orgasm. He possesses a kind of physical empathy that lets him know when he can tease you and when he cannot.

V = Volume (how loud they are, what sounds they make, etc.)

He is perfectly able to be nearly silent the entire time, ragged breathing his only sound, but he chooses not to when he knows your ears are the only ones that’ll hear him. One of Aesop’s fortes is his openness about sex itself - he’s no blushing virgin and he’s no vulgar sailor. Sex is just completely natural to him and he sees no reason not to call things the way they are, or even not to talk about sex at all. He knows Muggles think of sex as if it was something shameful and sinful, hiding behind colourful names for normal body parts, as opposed to what sex actually is - something natural, pleasant and beautiful.

It makes it really easy for you to discuss anything with him, maybe even learning some new things about your own body in the process, as he doesn’t blush or stutter or say ‘such matters are unfit to be discussed’, like Muggles might do. He knows his anatomy and he knows yours, and it's pleasant not to have to explain to him why you don’t want to be intimate this week.  

X = X-ray (let’s see what’s going on under those clothes)

Y = Yearning (how high is their sex drive?)

He is large. It should really be expected with the size of this man that his tools would be proportionally well endowed. Over 6 inches in length when fully erect and girthy, shrinks down an inch or two when soft. Uncircumsized, with a large, dark pink tip, a few well defined veins. He definitely fills you to the brim, but can be a bit difficult to fellate. His left bollock hangs slightly lower than the other one and they are quite sensitive.

After his injury and before entering a relationship with you? Nearly nonexistent. For a year after the injury, the pain was so bad, he couldn’t even get it up, which made him consider himself impotent, only adding salt to the wound. At night he tends to fall asleep quite quickly after a nice lovemaking. He does clean the two of you up with a spell, he does talk to you and kiss you gently as you cuddle under the blanket, but he’s out like a light before long. He cuddles you out of his sleep, and sometimes snores. If you were to tell him that, though, he’d be very insistent that he does not, in fact, snore. He’s never snored in his entire life.

Summary: Marlene Mckinnon, your best friend of years invites you to a drinking night with the Marauders and half of Gryffindor’s Seventh Years. Your crush Remus is there, would heartbreaks unfold when Sirius asks him about the person that he likes?

What could possibly go wrong with a bit of veritaserum, a few shots of firewhiskey and a truth or dare game? Everything and nothing at the same time, it is like flipping coin you can bet and win it all, however, at the same time there is uncertainty.

The Marauders were in the Gryffindor common room, you weren’t a part of their group, but your friend Marlene asked you to come with her, Lily and Dorcas to this ‘‘getting drunk because we don’t know what else to do on a Saturday night, although we would prefer to be partying’’. Marlene told you it was going to be a chill Saturday night, but half of Gryffindor’s Seventh Years were there too.

Marlene had always been your closest friend, she was your neighbour and she was rather an extrovert kid so you were quick to be friends. Since you were eight, you have considered Marls to be your best friend, you told her your deepest secrets, no other than your diary and yourself knew. Nonetheless, you felt as if you were drifting apart, she met Lily and they befriended the Marauders as quick as she befriended you when you were little. You thought she could sense it, that’s why you were here.

You refused at first, it wasn’t your scene, you preferred promenading through Hogsmeade and drinking a few butterbears, taking a few laughs and get back in touch, but she knew how to persuade you. You caught yourself reproducing last night interaction, your rommates let in Marlene because they knew you two were friends, though they thought of you as an alienesque pair. You were in the bathroom, prepping for bed time, when Marlene’s reflection, once you wiped your face, startled you. 

‘‘What are you doing here?’’ you asked, a hand holding your chest. ‘‘You scared me, you could’ve at least knocked’’.

You turn your whole body to see your best friend with a cheshire smile, she entered the small bathroom closing the door behind her.

‘‘Do you wanna hang out tomorrow night?’’ she started, smile still present on her features. As she saw your reaction she continued: ‘‘We haven’t seen each other for so long, please!’’ she pleaded, reaching for your hand and holding in between hers.

You looked down to where your bodys joined and sighed, that wasn’t your idea of reconnecting.

‘‘I don’t know Marls, you know I rather…’’. She cut you off.

‘‘Rems is going to be there, plus James had stolen a bit of veritaserum from Slughorn’s potion room, and I’ve seen his looks when he glance over you in the hallways’’ she explained to you, ‘‘Maybe he will confess, please come and bring your roommates, they are fun, even more than…’’

‘‘Me?’’ It was your time of cutting her off. ‘‘I’ll think of it, but my friends won’t come, they have plans for tomorrow night.’’ You crossed your arms over your chest, Marlene never lied, even when she needed to it was a blessing and a curse.

She grimaced, sensing she might had screwed it up. 

‘‘We’ll have a great time, think about it, please.’’ 

The trance was broken due to James calling your name and giggling at you. This is why it you were distancing yourself from Marls, you felt as if her friends were analyzing your every moves and when you did something out of what they were expecting, they laughed at you as if you were a monkey in a circus about to do its next trick. 

Marls looked at you and next to the object set in between the circle of people, almost everybody were drunk, your first and only glass of firewhikey sat in your hands half empty. The bottle was pointed at you, of all people. Even though Marlene promised they were only going to be the Marauders and you, almost half of the Gryffindor 7th Years were there too.

‘‘Your turn, pretty friend of Marls’’ a giggling and drunk James said, ‘‘truth or dare?’’ 

Your gaze fixated on Marlene, you inhaled deeply. Taking a sip of the glass you confidently said dare. A set of ‘‘ohs’’ was heard in the room, you gulped at the sound. Silently and in your head, you cursed Marlene and her stupid ‘‘Rem will be there’’. 

‘‘I dare you to…’’ James stood pensive his next words, he look over a boy who played in the Gryffinfor quidditch team ‘‘I dare you to lick Dean’s neck.’’

Evrybody started laughing, you wanted to minimize yourself to the sixe of a bacteria, but you were in the bravest house for a reason, and you stood up and went directly to the boy. Dean move her head so you could have access to his neck and you obeyed. They started cheering you as you licked his neck. Once you finished, embarrassed you went back to the seat next to Marlene, who was heavily drunk and was cheering on you.

‘‘That’s my friend, woohoo!’’ She extended her hand so you could give her a high five. ‘‘You should have seen Remus’ reaction, he was totally pissed off I tell you’’ she whispered as you sat down. You looked in Remus direction who was gazing at both of you and you gave him a smile, he turned quickly.

You thought nothing of it, or so you wanted to think because you were overanalyzing everything of that small and chaste interaction, he must be jealous. It was your turn of spinning the bottle and as if you manifest it just by thinking of him, it fell on Remus. You open your mouth, but you were cut off by the King Potter.

‘‘Truth or dare, mate?’’

Remus was holding your gaze as his mouth let out the word ‘‘truth’’. The coin was flipped in that exact moment and you felt the side you chose, believing Marlene, his looks over at your friend group, every small interaction, was going to win.

James gave him the veritaserum in a shot glass, he drank it still holding your gaze. The coin was high in the sky.

‘‘Well’’ Sirius was the one who spoke this time, a smirk present in his face ‘‘who is the person you can’t stop talking about? What’s their name, mate? If your drunk self hasn’t understood me, who do you like, Moony?’’ 

Slowly the coin fell, still confident in the choosing side. You were going to win this one time, you knew it.

‘‘You know Y/N, Marls’ friend.’’ Your heart fluttered, the coin was showing your side as it fell and you caught it. ‘‘Well, you know the girl she is always with, what’s her name? Oh yeah, Constance! Constance Hayes.’’

Your palm open, it showed a broken heart, you bet and lost. Still holding his gaze, Remus asked you:

‘‘You could set us up, right? You are practically together all of the time.’’

That was what pushed you over the edge, you saw Marlene’s face. You felt the tears, was this Marls idea of fun? She didn’t look surprised at his revelation, not a even a little bit, did she knew? Was that why she asked you to bring your friends?

You stood up, quickly, startling the people in the room. Marlene copied your every move and followed you, repeating your name over and over again. Everybody followed Marlene, it was the beginning of a fight and people were hungry for action. Your eyes were wet of holding back the tears and hearing the commotion wasn’t helping.

Once you enter your room, you let it all out. Marlene came in right behind you, she went to hug you, but you dismissed her.

‘‘Did you know?’’ you asked, tears flowing. ‘‘I know you can’t lie, so there’s no need to try now.’’

She shook her head at your words, looking hurt just by the accusation.

‘‘If I knew I’d never have encouraged you’’ she answer, her voice half broken and half in a scream.

‘‘I said don’t try to lie now!’’ you recriminated. You wanted to believe in her, but something in your brain just didn’t. ‘‘That’s why yesterday you asked me to bring my friends, so Constance could hear how Remus liked her, because you know both, her and I, like him. Did you wanted me to stop talking about him? What was it?’’

‘‘No! Of course not!’’ She shouted. Both of you could felt how its jab was scaleting quickly into a fight, and to worsen things up, both could hear James and Remus’ shocked expressions.

‘‘Then why!?’’ There was no use in keeping it a secret anymore, the whole school would know by tomorrow.

‘‘I wanted to spend time with you…’’

You cut her, pointing an angry finger towards her.

‘‘Don’t lie!’’

Exasperated, Marlene ran her hands through her hair dyed blonde hair, pulling some.

‘‘You want to know the truth?’’ you nodded. ‘‘Okay, I knew he liked Constance, but I couldn’t hurt you, we’ve been friends for so long… What I didn’t know is that Sirius would ask him that, Sirius knew about who you like-’’

‘‘Oh, so I can’t trust you now! Okay, why did Sirius know?’’ you asked her, angrily.

‘‘Because we can’t be best friend for our whole lifes, Y/N. Our paths have separated, we have different friends, we don’t hang out us much and to be honest, sometimes I feel like our relationship is a burden’’ she said, signaling the space between you.

That was what hurt you the most, you weren’t even thinking about Remus anymore. You knew Marlene was drifting apart, you tried to hang out with her as much as you could, but you never thought you were a burden to her, but that was reality, harsh as a sea storm.

‘‘If you aimed for us to stop being friends, I congratulate you.’’ You started applaudding. ‘‘You fucking did it, Marls! Oh, I almost forgot, you can tell your stupid friends, who I hope wont bother you as I did for all these years, their circus freak is out of shows.’’

‘‘You know I didn’t mean it like that…’’ she tried to fix it.

‘‘You meant it like that, Marls, that’s the worse part. So if you are so considerate of getting out of my room, thank you.’’ You forced a smile, tears streaming down your features.

Marlene obeyed, leaving you back and as she opened the door and displayed a childish James and an awful Remus, you open your mouth to say one last thing.

‘‘Oh, Remus’’ you started, making eye contact with him, just as he did the whole time downstairs ‘‘Constance will look forward on a date with you, how about next week?’’ You smiled falsely.

‘‘I’m sorry, Y/N, I didn’t want to…’’ he apologized.

‘‘Don’t worry Remus, I bet you don’t even feel as bad as you paint it to be. Fuck you all, Marauders!’’ You shouted, giving them all a middle finger.

That night, you drained yourself. You had no more water inside of you to form any more tear, the next morning Marlene and Remus watched you go into the Great Hall, Marlene knew she screwed up and there wasn’t anything she could do to patch up your heart, Remus, on the other hand, replayed the last words you would ever tell him, and you were right, he didn’t even feel as bad as he showed.

Truth or dare was like flipping a coin, you could win it all, however, that night you lost a friendship, but gained a heartbreak.

Got some big spoilers today about Sauron/Halbrand for s2 of "Rings of Power" from Fellowship of Fans!!! :D I'm actually a mix of surprised, disappointed, but still excited. LOL It's good overall but not exactlly what I was thinking. Rest is behind a cut.

I've seen some already posted here but it's on FOF's Twitter so I'll just posted my reaction. It looks like now the Mairon form and Annatar form of Sauron will be the same person instead of those original speculation last fall that Charlie would also be playing Mairon. This does make sense too as he'll be able to fool the elves better with his "angelic" Mairon self and the new looks for Mairon/Annatar is called "angelic" and with the classic long, black hair and wearing black and gold like is usually shown in artwork. So this now has a lot thinking Calam Lynch is playing this form instead of Celeborn and Anarion (the latter who I thought he was) since he and Morfydd followed each other early on, he filmed both last fall and recently before wrapping for s2 and this form will appear towards the end of s2 likely in Eregion before the battle start and they finish the rings. Again I still don't think Celeborn has been cast or that his actor is being kept a secret, so this actually fits better for who Calam is and it wouldn't be Ben Daniels either going by this new info. But Ben could still be the form Adar knew too in flashbacks. Gif here is from Calam on "Bridgerton" and I can see Mairon too.

However, don't worry about Charlie leaving as he's not. Thankfully FOF also posted that Charlie's version is still around too and filmed mostly at Mordor but they speculate too he'll be back to this form for the battles and the rest of the series once the elves realize he fooled them again. But he's now clean shaven (which a lot of us noticed those times he was spotted at events back in the fall) and has more of an ashen and fiery look to him. Plus, this also makes sense as they were so careful casting Charlie and he's a series regular still and the writers would be so careless to let him go and not stay as the main actor. Also makes sense to keep this Halbrand form especially because of everything with Galadriel and they know how popular Haladriel is and a lot of us (possibly even myself) would stop watching if he left as I can't see any other actor playing him now especially opposite Morfydd. Though will be interesting to see if he and Calam or whoever this other actor is worked with Charlie to get certain mannerisms down since they're sharing a character.

But still sad it won't be Charlie as Mairon as so many of us loved how he looked in "Medici" and he was so perfect. That's how I've always written Mairon in my fics as Charlie and that likely won't change. LOL But still I'm excited to see how this plays out, if they're able to use either Mairon or Annatar as names, and happy as long as Charlie stays for all 5 seasons.

That was the text Delia saw light up her phone; it was from Shevy. It was weird, they had done 5 out of the 8 weeks of this tour already, but the home sickness was just starting to kick in. Sure, Delia was loving this opportunity, even with Andy being a total confusing prick, and she was talking to her parents at every chance given, but right now she was wishing nothing more than to just sit in her family home's kitchen with her mum drinking coffee as they spoke about everything and anything. Sighing, she thought it best to reply to Shevy, otherwise she'd only get her tour bestie knocking on her door instead.

Hey. I won't be coming out with you all today. Gonna just take today to myself and likely talk to my parents as I'm missing them. Have fun though. x

If anyone was going to understand how Delia was feeling, it was going to be Shevy and most likely Jinxx as Delia knew he was missing his son and wife a lot.

Typical Andy, Delia shouldn't have even been surprised, he was most likely going to hook up with some girl like always. It's not like it mattered to her anyway, truly, it did not matter to her in the slightest. Her concern at this current time was talking to her parents. 

"Hey mum." Delia smiles slightly as she hears her mother pick up the phone.

"Delia! How are you doing love? We were wondering when we'd next hear from you! How's everything going? Any updates from last time?" Delia's mother asks down the phone.

"Yeah it's still great, still loving every minute of it." Delia continues to smile; of course she had not told her family about how Andy behaves, that's a small detail they did not need to know.

"I'm so glad to hear that you're enjoying it. I hope you know how proud me and your father are of you. You've worked so hard for this for so long, you really do deserve it."  If Delia did not know any better she would say her mother sounded close to tears; Delia's parents always were so supportive of her life choices.

"Thanks mum, I love you." Delia starts to feel her own tears well up slightly, only 3 more weeks and she'd be home.

"Anyway I'm so sorry petal, your father and I were just about to leave for the hospital. He's got another appointment for his cancer remission, just to double check everything is still looking like the all clear." 

Delia feels her smile falter slightly. 3 years ago her father was diagnosed with cancer in the prostate. Thankfully with the help of treatment he was able to beat it and had been in remission for the last 2 years, of course the fear of it coming back was always in the back of her mind. This was obviously something Delia never liked discussing with people, she was always so afraid of breaking down and seeming weak; seeming weak is definitely not something she was willing to do in front of this band, especially Andy.

"Yes, of course. Send dad my love and let me know how he gets on." Delia nods even though she was aware her mother could not see her simple reaction.

"Of course petal, I'll text you okay? I love you." 

"I love you too mum." Delia smiles sadly before hearing the call end.

Petal. That was always the nickname Delia's mother had for her since Delia was a young girl. Delia's mother had always loved flowers, especially the dahlia. She had a single dahlia in her wedding boutique, which she called her good luck charm even though she knew she did not need good luck and that Delia's father was the love of her life. She knew that if she were to call her future daughter dahlia it would cause issues so that's why she chose Delia; it was so similar yet just as gorgeous in her eyes. A dahlia. The same flower on the pin that Andy had gifted her at the start of the tour.

Hearing a knock at her bedroom door Delia is instantly snapped from her thoughts. Surely it's not Shevy, they must have left by now right?

"Andy." Delia is shocked to say the least; never did she expect the selfish lead singer to be at the other side of the door.

"Hey Delia." He smiles awkwardly.

"Hey." Delia replies although it sounds more like a question.

"I um, I'm sorry about this past week. Things have been a bit weird haven't they?" He starts rocking backwards and forwards on his heels.

"Weird? You're the one who's been ignoring me!" Delia snaps slightly, she was in no mood for his confusing moods right now.

"Look Delia, I'm trying to apologise here, can you not make this hard for me?" Andy growls back slightly; as much as Delia found the guy attractive his moods really got to her. Would she lose her job if she was to swing one at him? Maybe it would knock some sense into him.

"Look Andy, whatever you have to say can it wait? I'm really not in the mood for this right now." Delia sighs; she had to be the bigger person and be civil, god knows it was rare for Andy to be the civil one.

"No it can't wait Delia." Andy remains firm but there's something that sounds vulnerable in his voice at the same time. "Look, I know I can be difficult to deal with okay? I get it. You, on the other hand, you are one of the most infuriating, most stubborn women I have ever met."

"This doesn't sound like you apologising." Delia cuts him off whilst losing her patience.

"Can you just let me finish?" Andy sighs taking a step closer to Delia and so he's inside her room. "Despite this though, I can't stop thinking about you and that is what truly confuses me."

"What?" Delia was shocked to say the least. Surely Shevy wasn't right about him?

"What the fuck have you done to me Delia Vincent?" Andy whispers slightly before shutting the door behind him and slamming his lips onto Delia's. 

None of this was in Delia's plan. None of this seemed right logically, so why did it feel right to her? Delia shouldn't be kissing this asshole back, so why was she? 

"If you want me to stop tell me now." Andy breaks the kiss slightly.

"I don't want you to stop Andy." Delia mutters back before she feels his lips on hers again; this time she doesn't hesitate to kiss him back and soon she feels him leading them both towards Delia's bed.

"Are you sure you're okay with this Delia? You know there's no going back after this?" Andy asks as soon as their bodies hit the double bed in Delia's hotel room.

"have you got a condom?" Delia asks to which Andy nods "Then I'm sure, I'm okay."

That was all it took for Andy to connect their lips together once more.

Yes Delia had her silly little relationships in the past and little flings but believe it or not she still sometimes felt awkward around guys. All these years her career has been more important to her than boys, whilst her friends were settling down with a family and a stable job, she was prepared to take the risk of instability to do what she loved. 

So why was she doing this? Why was it with Andy of all people? Maybe the saying is true, what happens on tour stays on tour.

A deep breath, then a soft puff of air, brushing reddening skin.

“AH!” Yuno scrunched up immediately, cheeks reddening at the noise he let out. “Leopold!”

“Hahaha! Did I surprise you with my new technique?” His boyfriend cheered from beside him, satisfied with the reaction he got. “I call it the Candle’s Kiss! Shall I do it again?”

“What kind of name-Ah! Nohooohooho!” Yuno yelped, already giggling as Leopold’s arms came around him, trapping him against his chest as more puffs brushed his neck, making him double over. “Sthahahhap it tiihiihickles!”

“Does it now?” Leopold gasped in mock shock. “I had no idea!”

“Ahehehehe!” Yuno would have retorted with something in words had Leopold not puffed again. Wigging a hand free, he pulled his Golden Dawn hood tighter around his neck, blocking out the puffs. “Thehehehre!”

“Oh my, whatever shall I do now?” Leopold leaned in so his chin was resting on Yuno’s shoulders, the arms around his torso finding his sides. “How can I tickle my boyfriend when he’s guarding his neck? Arms up and out of the way- easily letting me tickle him….here!”

“PFFT-GEhahhahahahahhaha!” Yuno spasmed with a squeak when Leopold dug into his ribs, the pressure just right to send him tumbling backwards. “Nohohoohoho fahahhahahhahair!”

“Yes, fair!” Leopold grinned when Yuno released his hood, quickly diving his face against his neck and nuzzling away. “All is fair in the art of tickling!”

Yuno whined through his mirth at the feeling of tickles against his neck once more, sinking further into Leopold’s arms as he tried to get away. This only gave the redhead more spots to tickle, and soon he had two hands in his armpits and a face pressing kisses into his neck like no tomorrow.

Oh dear- he was rather screwed.

“LEHEHEHHEOPOLD PLEHAHAHHAHHSE!” He cried, cheeks as red as his boyfriend’s hair as he scrunched and giggled, feet kicking against the grass and hands finding his face, hiding it from the world. “STHAHAHHAHAP!”

“Oh, so you give up?” Leopold declared, pausing his neck kisses for a moment. The hands in his armpits still tickled, but it wasn’t so bad now that his neck was safe. “Do you wish to submit to me or accept your fated tickling?”

“Iihiihihihihiiehehehe! Iihihiihih’ll chhohohoohohose…thhhiihihis” Yuno’s grimoire came up almost instinctively, flipping to an old page. “Wiihihhind magic! Typhohoohohoon!”

Leopold was about to ask what kind of spell that was when he was suddenly being lifted, a few feet in the air and spinning in a slow pace. He oddly felt like one of those rotisserie chickens he’d seen Mereoleona cook. “Whoa ha HA! This is amazing! Yuno, what kind of spell is this?”

“An ohohold one.” Yuno stammered out, getting to his feet. “Gohohood for catching rascals.”

“Ah! It’s certainly fun!” Leopold sat back, taking it all in. “How do I get off?”

“You don’t.” Something in Yuno’s voice changed. Leopold peeked.

“Yuno? What are you- Ah! Ahehahahahhahahhaha!” The redhead yelped when hands attacked his knees, Yuno scribbling at the joints. “Ghahhahahahahh! Yuhuuuhuhno wahahhahahaait!”

“No way- you didn’t wait for me.” Yuno teased, giving his knees one last squeeze before they spun away. “Ah, there you are.” He quickly reached down to Leopold’s chest and armpits when they came into reach, repeating the action and making his boyfriend cackle and squirm. “This will teach you to tickle me!”

“Ahehahahahhahha! Yuhhuuhuhuhno, lehehehehet me dohoohohown- AHHAHA NOT THEHEHHEHRE!” Leopold squealed when hands attacked his belly, giving it a solid pinch and prod before it spun out of reach. Knees, armpits, neck, belly- that was the order he was getting tickled in with each rotation. “Whahahhahahit I’m shhahahahahAHHAHAHARRY!”

“Are you gonna keep tickling me?” Yuno asked, pausing the mini tornado so he could easily reach Leopold’s belly, going for his weakest spot. “Are you gonna behave?”

“YHEHEHEHEHEHS! I MEHAHAHN NO! I MEHAHAHHAN YEHHEHEHEHHS!” Leopold cried, feet kicking and hands swatting helplessly as he tried to protect his tum.

“Which one is it? Make up your mind.” Yuno laughed, reaching inward and kneading the sides of his stomach.

“IIHIHIIHLL BEHAHHAHVE! IHIIHIHIHLL BEHAVE NOW STHAHAHHAAP!” The flame mage cackled, unable to fight down another squeal. Finally, the tickles came to an end, the wind beneath him lowering him down gently until he was against the grass once more. Gasping for air, he tossed an arm across his eyes while the other held his belly, weak little puffs of laughter escaping his tired lips. “Ahheheh…hehehehe..thahaht wasn’t bad.”

“What, the tickling?” Yuno snorted, sitting down beside his boyfriend, letting him scoot up so his head was in his lap. “I suppose I could have gone harder. Give you a raspberry or two.”

“Ahehehe! I mehahehant the speehhell.” Leopold giggled at the phantom feeling, smoothing a hand over his gut. “Your control is great! I bet your siblings loved it when you carried them around in that.”

“Heh, you know? They did.” Yuno smiled, something soft crossing his eyes as he thought of home. “They’d love you. You're so…bright, you know? It’s hard not to love you.”

Leopold blushed, his smile wide as he reached up, running a thumb against Yuno’s cheek. “You’re sweet today.”

“I mean it.” Suddenly his eyes widened some, a thought crossing his head. “Hey…this is a little bit on the impromptu side so feel free to say no but…do you want to come visit them? The next time we get time off at the same time?”

“Visit Hage?” Leopold asked, eyes wide.

“Yeah! You can meet everyone there! I mean- it’s nothing fancy compared to the capital, and we’re only good at making potatoes-WHOA!” Yuno yelped when Leopold tackled him into a hug, sending them both tumbling backwards.

Then he was kissing him, gentle and fierce at the same time. Yuno was starting to melt into it when Leopold pulled away in his excitement.

“I’d love to! I want to meet your family!” Leopold grinned, eyes shining. “If you’d have me, that is.”

Yuno grinned, nodding before pulling the redhead back down, kissing him again and again. They could sort out the details and send out letters later. For now, he just wanted to bask in the happy feeling of it all.

Leopold was coming to Hage with him.
