I have finally FINALLY got up to the dream scene at the start of the last mabelcorn in kmky and everything is flowing nicely finally, and the scenes and characterisation all are smooth and make sense and I am no longer going over the same establishing scenes like a pedant trying to make them perfect. SUCCESS!

Just have to knock out these next few bits then it's onto unicorn beatdowns, funny hats, pizza parties and loophole heists!

Look, at first sight, One would be so excited to see Oneion, why wouldn't he? Look at him! And *that *is him! At first sight, Oneion is everything One wants to become, everything Draxum hoped and expected from him. But the moment Oneion interacts with his brothers (or on the crossovers with Sprout and Poptart) all of that comes crashing down, because No. WHY??!!

One is still deep in denial about having friends, because Draxum pretty much forbade that as he grew up, he grew up isolated in their home most of the time, and was tought to be a soldier and pretty much a weapon for war, friends were for normal yokai, and he was not that, friends were a distraction from his purpose and his training, a weakness to have

So then Oneion comes in and he has a family and friends and he loves them so much and he gets along with humans, which he was supposed to destroy and he is constantly going against so much that One was thought and who One perceives as who he is

Oneion has gone thought years of growth and character development, he's not the piña coloda of mental health by any means, but he's certainly in a better place than One is

All this frustrates both of them so much

and they certainly bring out the worst on each other, but! Once One starts to shift, once he starts to take the first steps in his redeption, he's gonna start seeing Oneion in another light, he'd be able to understand him more, and Oneion would gladly be there for him when the worst comes.

i had a dream that reminded me of the show titans and oh my god am i glad that show ended. it was so fun for me who never touched a comic a day in her life (and then when i did my first comics were DCeased), but god did they do jason so dirty.

like why did every adult in his life hate him? kori, who was everyones maternal figure in this shit, literally said she was angry at jason for dying.

(Kori: "i'm so angry."

Superboy: "At the Joker?"

Kori: "No, at Jason."

Gar: "Jason? Why?"

like i know she did NOT try to turn his death into a lesson for gar and conner???? like what the actual fuck man. he literally tried to kill himself the season prior and you guys offered him no help, just antagonized him and treated him like absolute shit.

like, yes bro was bratty but nobody even cared to ask why? or to talk to bruce about it, to try to train it out of him, to offer him fucking therapy (i'm very aware he'd say no to this but its the thought that counts). but nope. just, don't let that happen to you.

as if that wasn't gars friend?? as if jason and gar weren't close? conner and jason, yeah, sure, fine. he probably didn't grieve a lot over him, they barely knew each other. but jason and gar? they got along.

and then the writers turning him absolutely evil was an insane option but, fine. killing hank for no reason other than the fact that he can? killing dick grayson? okay, go big or go home i guess (completely ignore the fact that jason only killed those who 'deserved' it (committed pretty serious crimes)).

to make matters worse, they didn't even stick to evil jason! they had a shitty somewhat-redeption arc at the end of the season (where jason gives them the code) and then the next season tim becomes fucking robin and he's okay with it?? he's??? fine??? with??? it???

even in titans, when jason started out he fucking loved robin. he was so excited to run around with robin dick grayson. jason died in that suit. yes he was being reckless, yes it wasn't a good instinct to go after the joker alone. but he was inexperienced. if bruce wants to have teenagers running around in suits he needs to properly teach them what they're doing before he allows them to leave in the green tights.

jason wouldn't train tim. not to be a part of a team that almost drove him to commit suicide, not to parade around in the same colors he died in. he'd probably beat the shit out of tim for doing that because tim knows the gist of what happened to him and he still wants to wear the green panties.

and if not then he'd just leave him alone, he wouldn't train the little shit to go out and wear those colors. maybe advise him to be something else because robins tend to have a short life span (both him and dick died in this universe and were then revived).

so, yeah, jason todd was immensely flawed in titans (reminded me of damian wayne in a way, actually) but he did not--in no way--deserve that treatment from the people meant to be his friends/mentors (rachel, kori, dick, bruce), and the the way these people treated him CAUSED his evil character arc. yes, i will die on this hill.

and GOD, don't even get me started on how badly they fucked up tim's character.

so I’ve been thinking about this for like two days now, and I’m gonna say it. 

I’m fucking bothered. The amount of crap going around right now into relation of Tommy as a character and the rhetoric it’s being equated to is infuriating. Now personally, I try not to speak on things I can’t chiefly relate to (i.e., I’m not a gay male firefighter, so I won’t speak on the reality of living that life), however, I’m highly concerned about the attitude people are giving off in relation to the way that Tommy is undeserving of a redeption arc/is an asshole because of who he was in the past. 

First of all, I want to remind those who would actually take the time to read this: he’s a television character, and in no way does that put Lou in the position of being deserving of any vitriol for the shit he’s had to put up with. Or has it already been so long that we’ve forgotten about the shit Isabel Gillies was put through when Elliot Stabler returned to L&O:SVU (a whopping 5 years ago)? To that end, these actors are just earning a paycheck. They don’t deserve the abuse spewed at them any more than any person who works in retail or food service does because someone makes a small mistake on your bad day.

Further though, I’m concerned by the attitude that there is hatred spewed towards the character of Tommy because of who he WAS. I find it highly unlikely that there’s a single person on this planet that hasn’t forgiven at least one person in their life for some shitty thing they did in the past. To that end: we clearly have seen based off the way s7 went that Hen and Chimney made that choice at some point. Does it excuse previous behavior? No. I don’t know that when you forgive someone that excusing bad behavior is the intention. However, you give them room to grow and flourish. To that end, the arc that Lou has been given for Tommy is clearly within those lines. 

None of this is to say that what the character of Tommy did was okay or acceptable. However, I’d venture to guess that if we’d never seen the recurrence of Tommy Kinard on the show in s7 (and most likely s8), no one would bat an eyelash at the mention of his character, because in terms of how his storyline was wrapped up in s2, things are left on good terms. However, because he’s now Buck’s love interest for the moment and possibly forseable future, he’s got all kinds of problems. He has all kinds of toxic behavior. Nevermind the fact that this rhetoric comes from the same people who fail to also concede that Eddie, the preferred option as a LI for Buck for a large crowd, also has his own toxic behaviors. Hell, he even has his own toxic behaviors towards Buck. But you don’t see those who appreciate Tommy as a character pointing fingers at those issues. 

If you want to call me toxic because I’m not afraid to point all of this out, so be it. It is canonically unfair to tell someone that they are a toxic person because of who they used to be, and not the person they are today. The attitude towards “Tommy blame Gerrard for his behavior”, as though the character is supposed to resolve every issue he previously created with other characters in the limited screen time he was given, given the contract extension. Although, something tells me that even if Tim & Co had put the effort into making the scenes all about that instead of devoting it to the point of his character development (Buck and Tommy’s relationship), people would still find something to complain about. 

I’m not saying you have to like Tommy with Buck. I’m not even saying you have to like Tommy, period. But it’s arguable to say that if you’re going to decide not to like him, first, Lou is not the person to blame (someone else very well could’ve played the character and yall would be doing the same thing). And second, maybe find some realistic reasoning behind not liking him other than the fact that it makes Evan unavailable to chase after Eddie (because some people clearly aren’t prepared for that discussion).

I initially wanted his soul trait to be Patience because of his cyan eyes, but then it didn't really suit him.

Regulus was not an optimist.

He despised the idea of new beginnings, of forgiving indiscretions or letting go of grudges. In his opinion, people needed to earn those things. How could someone possibly just let go?

Nothing in his life had ever convinced him that he deserved to be looked at with positivity. He'd come from a family of dark wizards, bought into the bigotry they spewed. And sure, as he grew older, he'd left. But he had hurt people. He'd done bad things. He didn't deserve redeption.

That was why James's love always made him uncomfortable and terrified. He never felt like he deserved it. When would James realize he was bad...broken? When would James realize he deserved someone better and leave?

But as he sat in the chair of the hospital room, holding the cooing baby in front of him, something warm stole over his heart.

He looked over to James, who was staring at both of them with tears in his eyes and such adoration on his face that Regulus almost burst.

This.

This was a new beginning he could believe in.
