It's not everybody's cup of tea though so I'm curious what you think of it.

Ooh, denial is one I've been meaning to practice. I actually have a few older characters that I wanna use that concept for (fern and lou)

But like what was the point.

What was the point of bringing back an already established character. What was the point of bringing back someone who was already part of the 118 family in their own right.

What was the point of giving that person deep and fleshed out backstory and insecurity and personality. What was the point of laying the groundwork for literally seasons' worth of character growth directly tied into the found family theme of the show.

What was the point of a six month relationship that was fought and bled for that ended with a "oh yeah I always knew I was going to break up with you if you didn't do it first". What was the point of all the longing stares and adoring smiles and lovestruck bashfulness. What was the point of literally any one single interaction they had on the show.

What was the point of defying network predictability and societal stigma and making media history. What was the point of advertising it to hell.  what was the point of sticking by your actors and your storylines across seasons against so much hate.

What was the point of tying these two characters together so inextricably just to have them break up with a shrug.

It's been so long since the last time I posted something. I miss the drama and the fandom. I have been so busy recently that I couldn't even respect my goals of posting a fic per month. I wrote several fics that are stuck in my phone uncompleted. 😢

But I want to come back posting, I need it. 👊🏻

Some of my favorite moments from DC's Super-Pets Special: Bitedentity Crisis one-shot. Most are awesome / wholesome in tone, exactly what you'd expect from a super-pets book. Highlight for Refuge by Michael W. Conrad and Sami Basri, a story about Damian's bat-pets that can totally be read as a meta-commentary on the place these animals can occupy in superhero stories. How they are inevitably put aside and how this can reflect the way we treat animals (especially the less conventionally domesticated ones, cows, chicken, dragons...) in our own society. It's a very touching and surprisingly thought-provoking story.

Another highlight is the Bitewing story, Pup, pup and Away by Tony Fleecs and Mike Norton, funny, lightheaded and cute, with a high count of obscure super pets (I was almost expecting Itty to show up, not this time sadly, Green Lantern's sentient alien starfish friend remains a hidden deep-cut). All the stories in the book are somewhat good and have something to offer, I didn't really care for the Watchmen parody story though. If you're expecting Detective Chimp or other cool DC primates to appear here that's not the place for you for there's another one-shot solely dedicated to them, the Ape-Ril Special #1.

fun fact about Lou: she likes having her nipples tugged when she's getting milked. She's got a table and everything. Also, her boobs can get BIG if she misses a milking session. I'll draw a comic on it if anyone wants.

Introducing my lovely puppet characters!! They're the main stars of Kazoo and You, a horror/dark comedy project surrounding the mystery of the colorful puppet cast of Kazoo (With O'Malley and Lou), a late '70s/early 80's television program that's been firmly pushed into obscurity after its cancellation. Now nothing but alleged lost episodes, discarded merchandise, a long-abandoned and small theme park and a dusty, decrepit studio behind barbed wire and ivy, the puppets have been long cast away, and it seems that someone-or something- wants it to stay that way.

In left to right order, the cast is: O'Malley the Hare Lou the Dog Salty the Sea Cow Marsha the Bog Witch (She's younger than she looks...) Lottie the Lovebug Finnegan the Imp And lovely You of course!

I've been very focused on them recently (Thanks to my horror affinity and Don't Hug Me I'm Scared reminding me of them to begin with), so you'll see them and their story around more on this blog as work on it idly! I've been having a great time so far with them :3
