FROM THE STORY:

<<Du Cheng>> Shen Yi's voice stopped him a step away from the threshold. The Captain turned back.

<<Yeah>> he said trying to look cool and not extremely embarrassed.

Shen Yi gestured for him to come closer, Du Cheng followed him as always, as everytime and walked toward the artist's desk where Shen Yi was still sitting. He didn't stand up so Du Cheng leaned closer instinctively.

It was fast, unexpected but always hoped, Shen Yi grabbed him from the collar of his leather jacket and pulled him toward himself. Du Cheng found his lips sealed by Shen Yi's, not that he wanted to complain or something.

IN THE SUMMARY:

Du Cheng can help to be mesmerized by Shen Yi and the artist knows. What he does not know is that he is the only one who can affect the Captain so much.

DELICIOUS LOTUS ROOTS 🌸

From the story:

<<What if you took a break>> he murmured in his ear. He intentionally brushed his nose on Li Xiangyi's cheek who couldn't help to incline his head giving him a better access to the crook of neck like he always did when they were alone about to spend another hot night. He couldn't resist and Di Feisheng knew.

<<I have to work>> Li Xiangyi managed to reply, trying to not lean behind towards him.

<<Your mouth says no...>> he said brushing his nose along his neck. Li Xiangyi felt his lips moving on his skin and it made him shiver. It was impossible for Di Feisheng to not notice it. <<But your body is saying otherwise>> he kissed him, exactly under the ear.

<<Li Lianhua!>> called a known, young and bright voice. There was only one person who used that nickname. Said person stormed in the office without hesitation. <<I found a perfect place to have lunch, they cook amazing lotus roots>> Fang Duobing said smiling enthusiastically.

His smile froze but only for a second and it was immediately replaced by a not so embarrassed one. Actually Fang Duobing loved giving Di Feisheng an hard time so his expression was a mixture of embarrassment and boldness.

<<Ops>> he said while Hulijin popped out in the room.

In a summary:

Li Lianhua is a gremlin University teacher with a loquacious assistant with a bad timing and a sexy rich husband who is able to make all his defences crumble.

How it started VS How it's going

I love the fact that Du Cheng always tries to protect Shen Yi not only from physical dangers but above all from psychological ones. He knows the artist his smart, Shen Yi's mind is able to see things that no one sees, it is able to literally draws patterns and paths where there is no one. Shen Yi, through his art, is able to go down the human mind and it is both amazing and extremely dangerous because it can make him lose himself.

For this reason Du Cheng is constantly worried about him, for this reason he refuses to sign Shen Yi's authorization to review old cases, for this reason he gets really angry with him because Shen Yi, following his mind and his talent, ends always up to act recklessly, not thinking about his one safety. And Du Cheng is aware that he won't be able to protect him from everything. He tells him "I can't promise you to arrive always on time".

He can't bear the thought to arrive late, he can think to lose him both physically and mentally.

"I'll be out for a couple of days, keep an eye on Shen Yi" he asks his colleague Yan.

He is afraid to lose him.

But "When exactly did he start to care so much for the little artist?" he probably asks himself every time the image of Shen Yi crosses his mind and above all "Why does he care so much? Why is he so afraid that something can happen to him?".

The Captain knows in his heart the answers to those questions but maybe he does not know how to process them.

Pei Su is like a cat, he walks around the people languidly brushing his fur against their legs, looking at them in their eyes with a sly expression on his face. He bangs his head against the palm of their hands, he plays with them but always with an halo of waryness and alofness that hides the fear to be hurt in someway. When someone shows him affection and they reply to him, trying to pat him, to give him some warm, he withdraws putting on a mask of disinterest to make distance and protect himself.

However, no matter how many times he tries to withdraw, to make distance, to escape, to hide. Luo Weizhao will always try to overcome his walls, to go behind his mask, to follow him. He will always keep trying to pet him like the cat he is, to give him the attention he actually seeks, to give the understanding he needs, to make him understand that he can curls into a ball on his lap, that no one will ever hurt him, that he can trust him, he can lower his guard and rest without fear.

Pei Su does not need to act in front of him, to pretend, he can be himself because he is worth, is good just the way he is, no need to hurt himself, to hide the scars, both of the body and the soul, they are part of him.

Everyone is made by both light and dark and it's ok.

Pei Su has this sugary way to call Luo Wei Zhao that it's impossible for him to resist.

The word "Shixiong" leaves his lips like a gentle caress, a warm embrace that together with his sly, pointing and intense gaze arrives directly to the heart of the Captain who finds himself defenceless. He can try to resist, he can try to not fall, he can try to deny that it isn't his weakness, his week spot. Pei Su is jis weak spot no matter what and he knows it so he uses it at his vantage because he is a little brat.

This is wonderful because it show how powerful can be a single word, how much power a single world can give to a person and how powerful a person can be over another when using the right words.

Words can carry emotions, can manipulate, can cause pain, can heal wounds, can kill and can save because how Dumbledore himself says in Harry Potter saga:

"Words are, in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic. Capable of both inflicting injury, and remedying it."

No matter if it's a tiny, a teasing, a half, a sarcastic, an amused, an adoringly, a shy, a surprised or a sad smile. Pei Su's every smile is always for his Shixiong.
