#loz au #wip #Ballad (Kheprriverse)#they/he #thinking about his design a lot more >> just how some things came to be #as I change FD I also change Ballad since theyre kinda linked (lol)#the white in their hair also changed a bit. more prominent + starts on left side of their usual part #but him in his main casual outfit + the green half-tunic is now just a cloth #switched his belt coz thats been bothering the fuck outta me #also changing his biggoron sword because that fucker cant have a single consistent design #yknow after all the trouble i went through making its oh ref twice #scarred eye is now his left (he’s left handed) + starts where the eye is for uh. lore.#also he doesnt close his eye often anymore. tho i may give him some sorta patch to cover it… not sure yet. probably wont #i’ll get to his armor eventually. that ones gotta take a lot of thinking.#ballad’s kind of the main character so I do wanna get their design how i want #they’re justa dad who wants to get everything done with so they can go back to their wife and son #*dont worry about the weird coloration in one spot. i use an auto action to auto-color my line art before i go in manually*#Kheprriart

#Shima speaks #Can you tell I really hate lining <3 #A lot of my more recent art posts have been more sketchy than anything #I've found it's way more fun to just use the base sketch and clean up the lines a little #Rather than go over them all over again with Precision. You know??#I'll still do actual lineart for my more 'professional' pieces ofc #But the sketchy lineart is fun. And easy. And better. LOL #For charms tho the lines gotta look nice *sighs*#Anyway I finished all my Pokeani charm designs. They're DONE!!#I drew all the main protags except for Tracey Max and Bonnie #Still debating if I wanna add them #Idk why I didn't include them in the first place lol #I guess since I had the thought of 'well they're less popular'#But I drew Sophocles and he's probably one of the least popular Pokeani protags. It’s WIP…Thursday. Um. Working on plink’s dtiys. Decided to go with something simple for the setting…or so I thought because those hands. And the noodle dragons were harder to draw than I thought. And it’s going to become even harder before I’m done with them 🫠 but yeah, they’re cute.

And to extrapolate about the setting, it’s legend happily lying down in the grass while the two noodle dragons are being goofballs. And since this isn’t an entry, I’ll just link the original dtiys post so y’all can read it and maybe do it. Here it is!

#fever in progress #even tho leg’s line art looks finished. It’s not. His line art is just mostly done. Haven’t even started coloring ha #also liquify tool I use that a lot. #A nice episode :) I have a lot of headache tho and forgot everything I wanted to say #The ss/kk is nice :) It's nice every time Akutagawa spontaneously saves Atsushi seemingly with no reason to #The animation was very nice! It's evident a lot of money and effort went into this season and these last episodes in particular #And I like the art style a lot better than the one in the other seasons. Even season 4 where the animation is comparatively as good #What more. The Kyouka screentime is nice. The whole Guild aftermath celebrations section is very nice and heartwarming to watch #I still take a lot of issues with the entire way Kyouka's entrance exam was conceived but I think they're fairly self-explanatory.#Also fundamentally coherent with b/sd's general worldviews so #But even then there's a line that bothers me to an unexplainable amount from the first time I watched it to now.#The “it hurts” when she's hugging Atsushi. And I've reflected over that line so long from the moment I first heard it...#I think. Its meaning is to symbolize how being in the light sometimes will still result to be too overwhelming for Kyouka–#to the point at times it will still end up hurting her. But that doesn't make it any less worth it #So to say‚ there's no such thing as perfect happy endings. But she is going to be okay nonetheless #BUT IT STILL BUGS ME. I feel like it's part of a school of thought for whom we should just accept the fact that there's evil in the world–#that we can't eradicate. And nothing can be done about it. Which I don't think is a functional or useful way of thinking?#ALSO I know it's. Most definitely‚ 99% not how the scene is supposed to be interpreted #BUT ATSUSHI IS THE ONE HUGGING AND THUS HURTING HER and you know how there is this very slight narrative that seemingly–#frames Kyouka and Atsushi as romantic partners and like... Idk.#In that context the line almost feels expression of a narrative of wives having to bear pain that is natural and unavoidable.#I know this definitely wasn't the intended meaning it's just a bad impression for some reason I can't be able to shrug off even after years #But don't listen to me #I don't think there's anything else to add. Overall a very good episode.#Take a shot every time someone says “all according to Dazai's plan”#random rambles

I've got a ref in the works for Wild, and initially i intended to do all of them in the beginning but it was definitely more work than anticipated. I want to at least have official art that someone could use for all of them eventually but it might take some time. I think there's enough art out there of Legend and Wars that they don't need one per se (and Twilight too) but *shrug*. I've had a height lineup of the whole cast forever (from like those sites that let you plug in characters and compare them) and I've wanted to do something with that but,,,,, it's so much vdnvkdnlvds

so I'D LIKE TO. It just might take a bit.

Slimes are so fun to draw! I was like super motivated a month or so ago on drawing them but then I lost my best friend of 10 years (not through death!! don't know yet how to word this without sounding like this person died lol). That whole thing zapped so much of my energy and motivation

But its starting to come back and I am so ready to draw like one million slimes

maybe i will stop lining my art . maybe i will just color under my sketches after cleaning them up alittle

#txt #im so demotivated by lineart it always feels so stiff #but i move and adjust my sketches so much the lines get blurry n inconsistent :< and my sketch brush is not great with smaller details #so i rely a lot on lines to fix eyes and to all be crisp and not blurred by transform or liquify #but ... more fluid lines .. sketchy quality .. tasty ..#i suppose i could go the other direction and move towards lineless or semi-lineless #color first then add important lines?#i know i would go much slower doing that tho my lineless stuff needs so much.polishing #ahhhh i should experiment #i want to figure SOMETHING out tho cuz as it is my lines make my stuff feel so flat #i guess i could also try more line weight variation but i always end up carving my lines back down to consistency #hmm .. thinner lines maybe ? more painterly coloring? the issue with just using my sketch is that my fast coloring wouldnt work on it #much to think about #like my current way of doing things is hypothetically efficient because im the most used to it so ican get it done fast #but thats WHEN i feel.like doing it. and i find myself.lately just sketching and not wanting to finish things cuz then i have #to line them #but also i worry about my finished stuff looking unfinished and sketchy lines wouldnt help #but ALSO a lot of my favorite artists have sketchy lines and a lot of them dont even color!
