Lord Felix had never been in love. Not until he saw you, one of his mother’s ladies in waiting. You were a breath of fresh air to him, but if he pursued you he could never truly have you as his equal. You were a lower rank and he was the first born and only son of the Catton family. Also known as the heir to the estate.

Everyone noticed Felix. All of the other ladies always talked about him and how handsome he was. You always thought Felix was handsome but you never really mentioned anything when the other ladies in waiting talked about him.

You knew it was a fantasy. Lord Felix would never notice you. It was silly to even imagine him looking your way.

Elsbeth had taken pity on you as an orphan child and raised you as one of her most devoted servants.

Most of your life had been spent in the servants quarters, while Lord Felix spent his days roaming around the castle or in school to learn to become a man.

One afternoon you found yourself by the lake in the woods. It was your escape from lingering eyes and gossiping servants.

You were swimming in the lake, tall trees, grass and fresh flowers hiding the place from others. Your peace was disturbed when you heard a noise from the bushes.

You jumped and went to find your escape when a tall and broad shouldered man stepped into the cove. You recognized him immediately as Lord Felix. He was dressed down in a flowy white shirt and pants. His hair had grown out since his last time at Saltburn.

“I see here is one of Aphrodite’s children, for a beauty like yours temps me to come into the water,” Felix said with a cheeky grin.

“My lord, you must forgive me for I am not properly clothed,” you said, ignoring the blush on your cheeks.

“Shall I cover my eyes?” He asked. You nodded and Felix moved a hand over his eyes. You escaped from the water and put on your ladies maid covering.

“You may uncover your eyes my lord,” you said meekly. Felix did so and when he saw you his heart skipped a beat.

“Why is a lady like yourself alone in this part of the estate?” Felix asked curiously.

“It’s calm here. I come here to think, my lord,” you replied.

As much as Felix loved the sound of his title on your lips, he laughed under his breath and shook his head. “Please just call me Felix. What is your name?” Felix asked.

“Y/n,” you answered. You shouldn’t be alone with him. You knew it was wrong but something about being with Felix felt so incredibly right.

“I see you Y/n, waiting around and aiding my mother,” Felix says stepping closer to you.

You back away, “that would be because I am just a lady in waiting, my lord,” you curtsied and then walked passed Felix to exit the cove.

“Will I see you again?” Felix asked before you left.

“I’ll be around the castle. But I’m sure the future heir of Saltburn will have better tasks than looking at me,” you said, leaving the cove.

Felix couldn’t get you out of his mind. He has to find some way to woo you. He needed to have you. But it felt more than just a conquest. Felix really wanted to get to know you.

So he slipped a note under your door in the servants quarters.

Y/n — meet me at cove at midnight. I will be waiting

You decided to meet him at the cove. There was no harm to be done, except your reputation could be ruined. If anyone found out Lady Elsbeth would cast you away and you would be shunned from society.

But your heart told you to go and that’s exactly what you did. Your long sapphire cape made you invisible in the dark, as you snuck out of the castle that night. You made your way to the cove, the full moon protecting you from above.

At the cove, you saw Felix with a lighted candle in his hands. “You came,” he smiled softly. You nodded, “you summoned me, my lord—Felix,” you corrected yourself.

You sat down on the grass and Felix sat next to you, curiously admiring you. “I have seen you for many years, except you must have changed. I do not remember you being so beautiful since my last stay at the castle,” Felix admitted.

You turned to look at him, eyebrows furrowed. “Your flattery will get you no where. We are not meant to be,” you said.

Felix frowned, “I’m serious in my intentions. I think you the most beautiful woman I have laid my eyes upon.”

You both looked into each others eyes. You couldn’t draw yourself away from his longing gaze. Felix leaned close to your lips. When you didn’t back away he light pressed his lips to yours and kissed you softly.

You returned the kiss, it was sweet like forbidden fruit. That is what you were to each other — forbidden fruit.

Felix’s arms wrapped around your waist, pulling you closer to him. He was intoxicated by you. You fit perfectly in his hands. Your lips connected to his like a perfect puzzle piece.

You disconnected, needing air. Your face was flushed and you had realized what you had done. “This is wrong. I could lose my place at the estate. You should be falling in love with a Lady or a Princess but not me. Not a servant,” you said, standing up.

“But I am falling in love with you,” Felix insisted.

You felt like a disgrace to Elsbeth, she had been so kind to you. “I can’t, Felix. I want to…but I shouldn’t,” you said, heartbroken.

You went to leave the cove, but Felix grabbed your arm gently and pulled you to him. You kissed eachother with passion. This forbidden moment passing through you.

“It can be our little secret then,” Felix offered and you reluctantly agreed. His thumb grazing your bottom lip and a soft smile pulling at your lips.

Thinking of Aph/Ana's kids calling the guys different variations of dad.

Laurance is Ta/Tati to Levin, Ba/Baba to Malachi, and Da to the girls. These are how he referred to his own fathers, both when addressing them directly and when speaking of them to others. The Zvahl household speaks Seafarer's, Ta and Ba being two words for father. He will straight up not respond if any of them refer to him as Father because it doesn't process in his brain as a word he associates with fatherhood, because he never called his own fathers that, which is the only reason Levin doesn't call him Father as an adult.

Garroth is Papa to the girls, Pa to Malachi, Pa to Levin when he was a baby and Father when he's an adult. The first time Levin calls him Father he has a panic attack and thinks he's hallucinating. He looks very much like Garroth when he's older, and he has some of Garroth's accent since Garroth was one of his primary caretakers in his formative years, and he reminds him so of himself when he was young. He gets used to it eventually, after Levin explains he feels he needs to act more proper as Lord.

Aaron was Dad or Father to the girls because he would be described to them as 'your dad' or 'your father,' they never actually met him. He was never really as much of a dad to the boys, and that was perfectly fine by Aaron since if they did call him dad all he would be able to think about is what Jacob would be like if he'd had the chance to grow up.

And honorary Uncle Dante to all the kids, he is Uncle to every single person in the village Levin's age or younger
