Yes! I really wanted to include some of the societal impacts of the supernatural in my book, like my MC being a lecturer in Supernatural Studies. One of her classes is in the book, so you'll get to learn a little about how the Black Death affected vampire clans in London :D

And vampiric animals, yes I wanted to include one, so there is one haha. The process is much trickier than with turning a human into a vampire and it takes much longer, so there aren't many around. Most big clans have one though.

MC doesn't get turned in the book, but it is directly expected and referenced that they will be at some point soon.

As for the novel, yes, I switched it because I thought it'd be very cool to get the playboy's inner monologue. The first parts of the novel include, along with the mystery, a lot of the MC slowly focusing more and more on the male lead and forgetting about flirting with others. Let's just say that MC's friends are sick of hearing them give a play-by-play of what the male lead ate at dinner, and then denying that they're interested in him as anything more than a bit of fun lol.

As for the mystery plot... It's my first time writing a proper one, but I'm having a lot of fun and I think it's a decent one, but we'll see haha.

I was pretty sick in Tokyo, but it was a combination of the flight, which I predicted would happen because it always does, and then also a really heavy workload while there. I lost 9 lbs in ten days because of how much walking I had to do and I the fact that I was too ill to eat more than two apples over three days. It was a shame, but that's what happens when you're in a big group: you can't tailor the trip to your individual needs like needing to rest after a 14 hour flight and two hour queue at customs XD I still had fun though!

And oh, I didn't know Scream films were who dunnits, that's awesome, I'll put them on my list of things to check out! Thanks for the recommendation!!

Only one policeman/person chased after him. Policeman at the gate made o effort to catch him. Doggy was a paid actor (scene where Saroo roams the streets). Did she give him beer or what? Ummmmm sus. Rama suspicious. What was up with that shot at the child’s lower torso?? Even Noor sus. Very sus.

Saroo sensed it. Run Saroo😭😭😭 Finally the character us smart and runs away and actually senses the danger. Oh. Is this a dream?? Ah ok he escaped. And is dreaming about his mom.

2 months later

Yellow butterfly. Awwww. The boy gets him help yayyy- what. Why they dumped on a train. Ok he’s labeled missing but what the- where is he taken to. Weird looking orphanage that looks like the brothel in Gangubai😭 Poor Shonedeep. Awww…the children singing then abrupt cut to someone banging a spoon or something to wake him up. Ofc you published it in Calcutta- who even knows if they have access to newspapers. Omg- he’s getting sent to Australia so he can live with a family. Omg so sweet 😭😭😭😭😭the cutlery sceneeee.

Plane taking off sorta sounds like railway station. I wonder how his family is. Poor things…

Some jump cuts/inconsistencies: girl appears in front of him AND behind him. Earlier scene when Saroo is on top of the pillar in prev cut he’s looking one way then the next cut which is taken the opposite side he was looking he’s staring into the camera. So the family is Saroo, John, Sue and new addition Mantosh. Mantosh seems to be more vocal in his stress relief.

-Greatly appreciates your strategies. He is often asking you for positioning in certain areas when he is unsure of where should he go.

-Always follows your plans. Always. He knows there is little chance to fail if he follows your lead.

-He is caught off-guard with your kindness. You barely know him (maybe even can’t understand him?) and you smile at him so softly and offer him food and company? That is something else.

-If you don’t speak russian, he will get very excited when you start learning words so you can speak to him. Usually you communicate via drawings, but being able to understand verbally makes him happy beyond words.

Sugimoto:

-He is amazed by your ‘big brains’ as he calls it. Honeslty he feels kind of stupid when you come out with a clever idea about a problem you were having. “Huh, how didn’t i think about that?”

-Be kind to him. Please keep being kind to him, lord knows he needs it. He wants to cry when you show him even the smallest act of kindness.

-If you are ok with it, he would like to speak about his problems and his thoughts with you, both as a way to let it all out and to hear what you think. Your open-mindedness is something he greatly appreciates in moments like that.

-Sometimes you want to facepalm because he won’t shut up about you being so smart. He will literally show you off to everyone everytime he gets the chance.
