The way Mike says “I say it,” during his argument with El about how he doesn’t say ily is very intriguing to me. He says it with so much….gravity? Solemness? Almost….somberness?? It’s so hard to pinpoint but there’s no warmth in his eyes and it almost feels like a mantra, and he does this little nod at the end of it like he’s telling himself, “Yep, that’s right, I do say it.” He says it like saying it will end the conversation. But it doesn’t.

I agree with other analyses that say he’s trying to gaslight himself in this scene too because what an odd delivery.

Also, have we ever really broken down why this entire scene proves that him not saying I love you isn’t born out of insecurity or, like he later claims, saying it would make El realize he’s just a loser soon? Because for one thing, it’s not like this is something that is disappointing El but she’s keeping it to herself and only confiding it in others. She makes it so damn clear that she wants Mike to say it, that it’s reached the point where she doesn’t think he loves her romantically anymore—if he loves her romantically but is insecure, then El confronting him on not saying it to her should actually make him feel more secure because it’s confirmation that she wants me to love her romantically. And it’s also showing him that he’d actually lose her faster by not saying it than by saying it so what the hell does he have to lose?

But more importantly, Mike insists that he does tell her he loves her.

So how the fuck would that work, Wheeler?? You’re afraid of saying the words I love you to her because you think you’ll lose her faster if you do but also you insist that you do say it?? So if you want El to believe that you do tell her you love her even though apparently her being told by you that you love her would facilitate you losing her??????

And I think you were the one who pointed out that Mike doesn’t say, “You know how I feel about you,” but rather, “You know what I think of you.” which is like, such a huge Freudian slip imo, especially because he then goes on to say only 2 things about her: she’s the most incredible person in the world, and she’s a superhero.

Nothing about how he feels about her. Just what he thinks of her as. And guess who also calls El a superhero? Her other friends. Mike says two things about El in this scene that literally anyone else in their party would. Compared to Will’s van confession where he talks about how Mike makes him feel—like he’s better for being different, like he’s not a mistake, and gives him the courage to keep going. That’s fucking romantic love right there.

Lastly I want to praise Finn Wolfhard for his microexpressions during that entire argument because I rewatched it over and over for this comment to try and find words to describe how he delivers that one line, but damn after El says, “You can’t even write it,” he has the most fleeting microexpression of panic that is honestly so impressive—it’s this eye twitch/muscle flex by his right eye and this tiny little flinch forward, it almost looks like the right side of his face minutely trembles, A+ acting right there👏👏👏

First of all I'm hella sick and I just took some medicine so if I don't make any sense you can blame it on that lmao.

First of all, I just rewatched the scene to see if I could pick it up and my diseased riddled brain did notice what you're talking about. Firstly, he says with such certainty that you'd almost believe it if it weren't for the fact we saw how he signed his letters to El.

And secondly, is almost as if he's trying to convince himself and her that he does say it, probably because as you said, he expected this to end the conversation.

And see, it bothers me so much that people (the GA) don't notice the inconsistency in Mike's behavior because had not one, but two moments that should tell him exactly what he claims he needs to hear. The first is when El tells him point blank that she loves him too, and the second is this one.

Like, what sense does it make that he says he doesn't say the one thing he knows she wants him to say because he's afraid that it'll hurt if he loses her, but him not saying is clearly what's hurting her therefore might be the thing that can make him lose her, so WHY DON'T YOU SAY IT, MICHAEL?

And it's like you said, he says be does say it like he believes it, like he thinks he does which opens another Pandora box, because is like you said, he's telling El he says he loved and then turns around and says he didn't say it because he's afraid to lose her so WHICH IS IT? Can't be fucking both.

And yup, I'm the one who said that about him saying what he thinks of her and not what he feels.

He never says he likes her or anything remotely singular to her personality, is just about the things he thinks she can do which I still insist connects to her he associates El with physical and emotional security that he lacks.

But yes, he never said what she really needed to her, he said the opposite as a matter of fact.

So, out of curiosity (AND a slight fear of messing with what you've laid out so clearly in Frequency, which I see as the most reasonable and rational explanation to Thad's character inconsistencies basically, ever), I am wondering if this version of Inertia from Flash #760 fits into the Too Many Thads AU anywhere? From what I can tell, he's the only one not mentioned in your very thorough (and impressively detailed, he was at boomerang's funeral, excuse me sir why are you here???) timeline of Thad appearances. Would you consider him one of the clones we get from the AU, like Six? Or maybe just Thad himself given he's sort of just... chilling in the Speedforce lol. Or did you just not consider him given it's yet another instance of Thad appearing, doing something wild, then disappearing as quickly as he came haha. (Also, I just noticed he says vibrational FREQUENCY, nice👏)

i did... kinda include this iteration. but admittedly it's pretty brief, and the bits of story that take place in the speed force sit in dreamy abstraction rather than solid prose

start of chapter 2 when Thad is running thru the speed force:

He thinks he sees the Flash, once or twice. Tick tock tick tock. You’re running out of time, Barry. But he often thinks he sees lots of people. Once, he thought he saw Max. But the memories exist in his mind the same way a daydream would, and he can’t be sure if it was real.

The "tick tock tick tock" line is taken directly from #760

compared to the other threads of canon that Frequency is written around, it's definitely more on the borders of believably. The "tick tock" line and the bit where Thad threatens to snap his fingers and "blast Barry's mind to pieces" harkens back to the Kid Zoom era and Rogues Revenge, which fucks with my attempt to differentiate this Inertia as a separate person from Kid Zoom. but the hiccup feels minor enough that i think it still works

(and on a tangential note the whole "i'll snap my fingers and blast your mind to pieces" line straight up doesn't make sense to me because YES Kid Zoom famously snapped his fingers and exploded a baby, but he accomplished that by fast-forwarding that baby's timeline so quick that its literal molecules shook apart under the stress. Barry is a speedster and would not respond to timeline manipulation in that way - if at all - because his molecules are already used to that kind of shit. it's a weird and out of place threat to make and i think Williamson may have gotten the impression that Kid Zoom acquired the power of spontaneous combustion which he Fucking Did Not ok rant over)

the general idea i was going for was: Thad is running on rage, sees Barry, has the brief confrontation in #760 where Barry mostly just feels bad for him, and then disappears back into the storm. Implication being that Thad has actually had a couple different interactions with people during his 5 years in the speed force (Eobard, Max, Barry, etc) who try to convince him of things or promise him things, but staying for that long in the speed force (without being dead) fucks with perception a little bit, especially perceptions of Time. so when he's out and looking back on it, Thad can't totally discern what happened, what didn't, or in what order.

also the attendance at Captain Boomerang's funeral gets a shout out near the end of chapter 8 when Bart is going through Six's collection of Four's old stuff:

Some of the items on the shelf he didn’t recognize. A shot glass. A funeral pamphlet for one Digger Harkness. Several empty syringes and auto-injectors all meticulously arranged. A variety of small gadgets and devices that Bart couldn’t place.

because the funeral is technically Inertia's return after the events of Mercury Falling, I translated that as Four's first appearance in the 21st century

I am really hoping that something comes along that shows Eclipse how wrong he is about our Sun, that his perception of Sun that he's using Sunrise to project on is wrong, and maybe show some of the fandom that too, though I wonder how they'd do that?

That's why I'll make a bold statement and say that Sun and Eclipse's relationship is important as much as Sun and Moon's relationship (yes I count Nexus here as well)..

And I think that Eclipse may really play a part in helping Sun to open up about his true feelings..

Cause I think that it can't be a coincidence that Eclipse went to a dimension where Sun is acting exactly the way Eclipse was always assuming our Sun truly is..

Even if their story isn't a masterpiece and has many plot holes and inconsistency.. I really think that it doesn't change much when it comes to this being a well thoughtout story..

Like maybe I'm giving them too much credit but I think that Davis and EC are good storytellers/writers..

Even if I was complaining about some things it was mostly due to fans.. and also because of my mental issues which I pointed out many times that I was exaggerating and all.. but my anger was mostly due to fans reactions..

Because I was afraid that Davis and EC will look at what majority of fans say and will choose this to implement into a story cause they're not professionals so they rely on what fans say..

So I was afraid that they'll turn Sun evil because this is what many fans expressed wanting to see.. but at the same time I wanted to trust them that they won't do that.. and look they gave us Dark Sun who is considered an Evil Sun..

I wanted to trust in their writing hence why I decided to stick to my theories and such cause I believe that Sun story is prolonged with his mental issues and trauma.. hence why he was in the background at times (many times) and I was trying to keep coming up with theories on what may be happening in Sun's head at these times.. but certain group of people in this fandom didn't like my theories..

And the way they treated me and later that Miku episode and Nexus' insanity arc left me unsure of everything..

Especially seeing what Davis was posting about fans.. that they're not professional story writers.. and that they forgot about stuff and all.. which is understandable and valid and I actually am not angry at him or EC or Kat or Valentine..

But what that certain group of people did to me.. make me doubt myself.. I mean it's mostly due to my guilt delusion.. but this is it..

I just can't stop thinking that VAs are talking about me.. that I'm this unforgiving and ever-complaining fan.. which it may seem like that from some of my posts ngl.. but I really feel like I destroyed VAs fun time with doing these shows.. here I said that.. this is what I really think and I can't stop thinking about it..

I really think that all of this has purpose - yes I'm probably dumb - and Eclipse will realize his mistakes against Sun.. sooner or later.. I'm not good at guessing what exactly will happen so idk if I'll try to do that when I didn't watch EAPS.. I'm still debating if I want to watch it or not.. but knowing that Eclipse thinks of our Sun so badly and so openly there.. makes me not want to watch it..

Also I know that I called EAPS a garbage show.. but I shouldn't do that.. I was angry that both Puppet and Eclipse are so frustrating.. but I think that Davis and Valentine are doing wonderful job with the show and their roles causing us to feel all of these emotions 👏

I never said that I think that they're job as writers or VAs is bad just because I don't like some of characters or their personalities.. cause like even if Puppet annoys me and Eclipse also is getting on my nerves at times.. it doesn't mean that I hate Valentine and Davis..

As that said I think that Sun's relationship with Eclipse is crucial for both of their arcs.. just like it is for Sun's relationship with Moon (including Nexus)..

Because it's just like Solar Flare said that Eclipse needs both Sun and Moon just like Sun and Moon need Eclipse..

Maybe I'm wrong and dumb for thinking that this is what that line meant and all..

I really thought that me trying to make sense out of how Sun is treated in the show will help fans to have more faith in VAs writing..

And even if my theories were/are wrong I thought that I could share them with other fans..

But I just don't know anymore.. really..

But I'm still making theories and keep talking about these shows cause that what makes me happy and I enjoy doing so..

That's why I'm trying not to think too much about being potentially the cause of VAs burnout with these shows.. even if it's really hard at times.. with this stupid guilt delusion QwQ

Poor Lovelace. I can see why she doesn't want to take the risk. These aliens are interesting. They called out Kepler for his violence, but they themselves have been extremely violent and hostile. Do they genuinely not realize how fragile humans are? Do they think humans can regenerate like they can so they don't bother being careful? Are they just not used to being careful?

Oh right. Because Hera has been taken over before too. She knows what it's like.

Hera deserves her moment. I hope she gets it, whatever it looks like.

Maybe they could listen to the music. Maybe that will draw the aliens out. They did seem to enjoy the tunes. 🎶📻👽

The aliens did make Lovelace pretty indestructible... except for the one that killed itself that they heard about...oh maybe they can self-destruct.

As horrible as they were, it would be way more useful to have Maxwell or Hilbert around. I get why they had to die. If you have characters who can explain things, you lose the plot. But it would be strategic to trade Jacobi and Kepler for them.

Oh they don't sleep much? Interesting. What happens when she sleeps? Do they take the data from her brain?

Alien duplicates have a more complex brain stem? Interesting. A more complex life support and control system.

Norepinephrine. I struggled to pronounce it to Doug.

So that would mean she needs the opposite of alcohol.

DOUG WHAT IS THIS PLAN?

HERA CAN IMITATE THEIR VOICES? That's kind of cool. I hope she uses that later to trick Cutter and Pryce.

Cliff notes? Key inside is outside? Enter in order to leave? Douglas must what?

Do they want them to fly into the star? Is that why they tried to drag them in before? Is that what the aliens mean by "Kalabunga"?

They know that doesn't work with humans right? They've seen human bodies, they know that can't work right? Are they trying to make more human clones? Why?

Good work, Doug. At least they know what the aliens want now. Sort of.

Episode 51: Shut Up and Listen

Sophie has really been hyping up this episode, so I'm excited to listen.

I love these intros. ✨Hera✨, Captain Isabelle Lovelace the Second, all the aliases for Hilbert 😂 "Boom-boom wow Jacobi" oh my gosh the Kepler one 😂

Professor D.F. Eiffel. What is his middle name? What is he a professor of?

The Hephaestus files! I love the intro theme. It's very drama. UF Overview is good too.

Again with the dramatic music. This is perfect. I love Doug and Hera together they're fantastic!

Please Minkowski being the mom. "You're not poisoning anyone on your radio show are you?"

Man, Doug is never living down this "you poisoned yourself" thing.

Oh right the radio signals. The ones that couldn't possibly from 8 years ago, because no radio station has ever played old music before. It’s not like we have whole stations dedicated to music from the 70’s and 80’s.

Why are we listening to Kepler's opinions on the aliens? They already made it clear they don't like violence. Kepler tried to get violent and they chopped his hands off and talked down to him. These aliens don't really even seem to talk normally. Do they even normally communicate with sound?

The lion speech actually makes sense. You don't know what "that's a nice scent there" means.

But Kepler. You are ASSUMING that you can't get where the dear listeners are technology wise without doing horrible things. And even if that is true, you are also assuming that's where you want to be. Why are these aliens taking such an interest in you? Maybe they're desperate. You literally just said you don’t know anything about how they work, and now you’re claiming to know everything. Whatever fits your worldview I guess.

"Finish the process quickly" sure sounds urgent to me.

As for Maxwell's language logs, maybe Hera can take a look.

Math is math. There we go! And binary gives you yes and no. Simple, but effective for answering questions.

I'm sorry Hera. I know Maxwell wasn't here for you, but she was there for a while. I'm sorry she didn't make a better choice. It’s sad to think that if they made better choices in another life, Maxwell and Jacobi might have actually been friends with these guys.

Doug is not the best listener or good at remembering or reading subtext. Me too buddy. It's okay. Dang they really called me out with this character and I don’t like this part. Can we go back to him being funny and a good friend and the only person brave enough to point out the obvious “killing people is wrong”?

Minkowski's speech about how hard it was to change her language and accent was a lot. I wonder what she thought about all those times Doug mocked Hilbert’s accent and Nationality? It also makes me wonder whether the aliens are doing the same with them. Not the mocking, but changing their speech. Are they just trying to communicate or do they want to create a certain impression?

But this is getting sad. Why does this feel like a forever goodbye? I don't like that. I don't like that at all.

"That's the thing about you Eiffel. You try. You really really try. And then you stop trying. Don't stop."

Let's see if he does.

I also love that Hera continued the podcast even though she got mad at Doug. She's so sweet. HAHA...The Hephaestus Files, nice. Hera deserves that.

I feel like this episode might be a good metaphor for the aliens and communication. Doug didn't listen to what his coworkers were really saying. Maybe the aliens are the same way. Who knows.

Episode 52: Constructive Criticism

Also, it was only a matter of time. Cutter's errand boys kept chiming in when they weren't wanted. I'm surprised they weren't gagged sooner.

And good and bad DOES matter when you talk about progress, because it determines what you are progressing towards. FORWARD TOWARDS WHERE JACOBI? ASK YOURSELF WHY DOES THE WORLD WORK THAT WAY? DO YOU THINK THAT'S A GOOD THING? ASK DEEPER QUESTIONS YOU SIMPLETON!

So Jacobi would kill them if given the opportunity. Tell me something I don't know. Pity he wasn't interested in the redemption arc. I was hoping somebody, ANYBODY would reach for it. The standard is low. The bar is on the floor.

In some of these panels, he doesn't look a shade under 35! (That's ok, though. I couldn't do any better. The art overall is fine--just a little inconsistency in the faces) ● I wondered how Jetfire could be activated without the Creation Matrix. apparently he's mostly just machine at the moment. Buster can control him because he can control any unliving metal ● Buster disassembles him, then reassembles him under the prompting of Bumblebee… who has somehow "made certain" that Jetfire won't attack again ● ah, Bumblebee removed Jetfire's "brain." boy, it's tiny… ● 👏👏👏

Synopsis: Buster Witwicky uses his new power to control mechanical objects with his mind and ponders how he gained these extraordinary powers. He recalls how he had placed two terminals connected to the captured head of Optimus Prime to his temples and was jolted with a tremendous force and considers the idea that these powers were transferred over to him by Optimus Prime so the Decepticons cannot use this power to take over the Earth. His thoughts are disturbed when Sparkplug yells down from outside to his son to come out and help with his garage. Buster wonders how he can tell his father that his newfound "passion" for cars is due to his continued involvement with the Transformers, and how his father might consider him now that he is a metal manipulating "freak".

Meanwhile, at the Blackrock Aerospace plant currently occupied by the Decepticons, Shockwave is furious to find that Optimus Prime has not been able to give life to his newest creation, Jetfire. Deducing that Optimus Prime no longer has the Creation Matrix, he correctly assumes that Prime must have hidden it somewhere. Unaware that Prowl and Ratchet are overhearing the conversation from the Ark through a special spy system in Blackrock's phone lines, Shockwave calls forward Rumble and begins scanning his memories. Keying specifically during the time that he was put on security detail at the Ark, Shockwave finds images of Buster Witwicky sneaking in and out of the Autobots base during the time that the Decepticons had control of the facility. When Lasterbeak recognizes Buster, Shockwave decides to send him to collect Buster. Hearing this, Prowl sends Bluestreak and Bumblebee off to find the boy first and protect him from the Decepticons.

Before sending off Laserbeak to do his task, Shockwave programs a message within his minion and hands Laserbeak (in cassette tape mode) to a pizza delivery man bringing food for the workers to hand to the military outpost command outside the building. Playing Laserbeak in a tape-recorder, the military commander is given orders from Shockwave to back away 12 miles in the next an hour he will kill all the hostages. With the message delivered Laserbeak departs to search for Buster.

While at the Witwicky garage, Buster helps his father when Jessie comes by for a visit and asks Buster to take a bike ride to the falls. Sparkplug thinks it is a great idea and allows his son to go with his girlfriend. Bumblebee arrives at the garage shortly after looking for Buster. Sparkplug, not wanting his son to be involved with the Transformers because of the chaos it has made their lives, Sparkplug tells Bumblebee to buzz off and that he can protect his son on his own. Bumblebee complies with his wishes however Sparkplug doesn't trust the Autobots and decides to go looking for Buster on his own, unaware that Bluestreak is tailing him from behind.

While at the falls, Buster tries to get Jessie to stop so that he can apologize for snapping at her the day before, and is forced to use his powers to make the chain on her bike break. Apologizing to her, she feels silly as she is the one who feels she needs to apologize to him and the two share a make-up kiss. Sparkplug interrupts and warns the two lovers of the Autobots who are looking for them, just as Bumblebee and Bluestreak arrive. They tell Buster that they have come to protect him from the Decepticons, completely unaware that Laserbeak has just succeeded in tracking down the boy.

Shockwave then programs the lifeless body of Jetfire to seek out and capture Buster, destroying anything in their way. While back at the falls, Bumblebee explains to Buster that Optimus Prime transferred the Creation Matrix into him. Sparkplug, finding the whole story complete nonsense attempts to leave the scene with his son, prompting Laserbeak to attack. The Decepticon proves to be no match for Bluestreak, who easily blasts him out of the sky with his Ion Dispenser Rifle.

Then Jetfire arrives and attacks the Autobots, downing them easily. With the done attempting to grab Buster, Sparkplug, and Jessie, Buster is forced to reveal to both of them his powers as he uses them to deconstruct Jetfire. Telling the truth to his father and Jessie, Buster is forgiven and is allowed to help the Autobots take back Optimus Prime's head. Using his powers, he reconstructs Jetfire and using his powers to control the robots brain component Buster leaves with the Autobots to battle the Decepticons.

As the other Autobots rush toward Blackrock's Aerospace plant for the final battle, they overhear Shockwave telling Optimus Prime that he has outlived his usefulness and will be destroyed.

The colour scheme is Big Cool, too! Like, the dark blue that applies to both SIkuna's (/really Yuji's) uniform And Satoru's uniform as well,

combined with the red of the hoodie, shoes, and accents + SIkuna's eyes, the heart, and blood

and the white of SIkuna's irises + Satoru's hair like mmm yess limited palette that actually is much less limited than it could be because the colours apply to a lot anyway my beloved

Also a propos SIkuna's irises it's a fun detail that his actual depiction has them but the reflections don't - it's a really fun way to represent that there's even more of that disconnect in perceptions!

(and lol, is that perhaps a reference to SIkuna biting his tongue with that trail of blood there 😂

+ of course blood just kinda gets in the mouth due to the extremely serious wounds he'd make in his/Yuji's torso but yeah that too lol)

And the composition also makes this fun illusion/allusion idk where the hands holding the heart are obviously SIkuna's but

- aside from some size inconsistencies between Satoru's head and the arms if looked at it that way and ofc the claws and different sleeves and such, it could also be interpreted as Satoru holding it at one point as well heh (sorry bro but it was only logical to make you do it) 🤔🤔🤔

Also the smoke framing it all, as a reference to the Malevolent Campfire™ I presume, is just another very cool touch! :DDDDD

ILL FL 1st Round Playoff Recap 🏉🏈

Week 15 has us in the first week of the postseason in the NFL league. Laura hung onto the top seed and Jermaine came out of nowhere to snag the other bye week. The rest of the playoff teams were 8-6 (Demetri, Jermaine, & Professor). The wildcards were both 7-7 as Carla got in with massive points while Johnny backed in to just barely make it over Slick for the final spot.

First Round saw Demetri VS Carla, as well as, Johnny VS Professor.

Demetri 🏆 Carla

Demetri surged in the latter half of the season as Carla had done. She definitely was the queen of points and would need that in her match against him.

Demetri took a gamble on Taysum which initially paid dividends. Home team players Fields and Montgomery came thru as well for Demetri team.

Sanders came up super short for Carla but her team aside did very well for her. A hiccup at Kicker was not enough to hold her back as she took the lead.

Demetri got near duds with Devante- who has been on fire but had a tough matchup with the Pat's D. Chubb has not been himself late, which hurt Demetri too. To make matters worst, Diggs trending down most of Saturdays game slate. Despite the barely double digit scoring for most of his team, Demetri had to count on Packers Def (rival home team defense) to win or lose him this week.

Packers did great, but it wasn't enough to overcome Carla's lead.

Certainly, Mahomes 75 points is what took it over the top. Adding salt to the wound, King Henry and Higgins came thru big time for her.

Looking at the bench for Demetri, he still would have loss in Carla left her team as is and he played Theilin & Dillon. He would have been 5 points short in a hindsight optimized lineup 🤏

Digging deeper into the wound, even with better outputs of Packers rival players on his fantasy team, in an ironic twist, a former Packer Davante poor point outing is what cost him his season smh 🤦

Carla's bench was so deep it almost didn't matter. Her bench actually could have beaten other playoff teams....thats how awesome her team up h down did 👏

Kudos to Demetri for making it this far and a good season overall. Congratulations to Carla for advancing to the semifinals 🎊

Professor 🏆 Johnny

Professor doing his usual, made the playoffs once again. Johnny backed into the playoffs with a small point tie break over Ricky to get the last wildcard.

The 3 seed vs the 6th seed was a tight battle. Both of these competitors are waiver wire masters. Always dipping weekly to improve thier team, both gentlemen played snarky bets on players based on trends, matchups, and schemes. Perfect example:

Professor played TE from the Titans. In recent weeks he has been getting a lionshare of targets due to the lack of playmaking ability from thier wide outs. Woods is not a number 1 WR prototype and the rookie has been hurt or inconsistent. This has led the Titans offense to play underneath pass options which is great for TEs with pass catching abilities. He ended up with double digits for Professor in this PPR format.

Johnny gambled on Dobbins who admittedly had no interest in fornthe draft. The play was simple. The Browns Defense is top ten in yards allowed to opposing run offenses. Add the fact the Ravens too lack depth and true playmaker at the WR position. Their team motto to stick the run helped ease Johnnys decision in a trending Dobbins who has produced albeit dealing with injury. He is also doing it with a timeshare with other RBs on the team.

Both bets paid off initially for Professor & Johnny. Savy these guys🧐

As we can see on the bench, Professor got screwed by not putting in Stevenson at RB. Problem was he didn't have the info as it was a late game. Combine that with Zonovan low output, that player basically cost him the season. Ouch. Johnny was also eliminated in another Core 4️⃣ league (Sleeper) because of the same player in another tight game. I wonder how many teams were eliminated because of playing him 🤔 He had seemingly took over that position but the Lion's did improve on Defense in that particular area after getting run through earlier in the season.

Other than that costly mistake, Professor made all the right moves. By the end of Sunday, Johnny was in the lead. He pulled Watson in case of a disastrous negative point game from the rookie that could have cost him the season. Sure, a dangerous chance for point adjustments could have wreaked havoc, but luckily for Johnny all ended well.

SEMIFINALS WEEK 16

While Demetri & Professor face off for 5th place, the final four teams present an interesting take.

The trophy will return to a Williams household as the ladies (Mrs) will face off against each other while the brothers Duke it out in the semifinal family affair. Should be interesting 👀

😭 Warning: theorizing about diasomnia makes most of my thoughts messy and inconsistent. After rereading, I added my additional thoughts to stuff and organized it by color, sorry if nothing makes sense!! Also sorry that it’s long, got carried away yikes.

SO I NEVER EVEN NOTICED THE SYMBOLS LIKE THAT??? Silver and his symbol, the parallels of Sebek and Silver, like wow the brainmeats are working overtime 😳 Parallels from how they act to the way they trained to even their own beings! However let me explore something too. Going with symbols, doesn’t Sebek’s look like lightning bolts? And didn’t lightning strike every time Maleficent was angry?? After the curse, didn’t she make the world dark and stormy??? I think Sebek is team Malleus no matter what, literally following him to the ends of time despite knowing how wrong it is. I think his loyalty could potentially fuel the ob…? And I definitely think his loyalty makes him all the more manipulable 😔

(Omg the way they trained?! What do you normally use against a sword?? A SHIELD!!!! SILVER VS SEBEK, UH HELLO?? Doesn’t have to be physical either, could be a battle of their morals too!)

As the only human, he may feel more responsibility to protect all humanity. Silver’s origins can go in many ways but I’m leaning towards betrayal 👀 Why and how did Lilia take this…sleeping beauty…and raise him as a protector to the future king? Does he really love him, or was it all an act? Did Lilia know something like this would happen? If everyone sees a normal human working with fae, would that make the humans more inclined to submit? THESE ARE THE QUESTIONS! Like how do we know that the Lilia we see…is the real Lilia? His mask is freaking thicker than Jamil’s!

(As half-human, it isn’t unlikely for Sebek to switch sides to protect humanity like I think for Silver however that would include coming to terms with his other genes and he doesn’t exactly seem willing yet…him and his self-identity is truly what I look forward to when book 7 comes to Eng)

(Like Kalim played the role of Aladdin and the Sultan, I think Silver will play both Aurora and Philip)

And don’t get me started on Malleus. This pisses people off but I truly think he is innocent and/or naive. Just not in the same way as Kalim. He’s also snarky and mischievous, prideful and challenging. But pouting because nobody invited you somewhere, despite you not showing any interest…? Seems a bit much? You can’t expect people to know what you want and how you feel…so maybe he’s also greedy, due to upbringing and royal expectations? Honestly thinking of Malleus is hard…

Diasomnia as a whole is hard, especially since we now know that the devs will hide literally any form of hint in even the smallest of cracks 😂

YES ANONIE YES!! The parallels between Silver and Sebek just has me screaming!! and with book 7 coming soon, it seems that the recent merch they are releasing have been showing more and more of the parallels between them even more and I cant help but wonder if they are doing it on purpose or not but either way my brain is just ahhhhhhhh everytime I think about it.

the count down pictures show the thorns connected between the knights and I just omg I have so much to say but at the same time all I can do it scream. then you have the Halloween wafer merch which have them mirroring again and I believe the last pictures are stickers and instead of their usually symbols they HAVE A THREAD CONNECTING THEM. A THREAD. SILVER HAS A  SPOOL OF THREAD AND SEBEK HAS THE SPINNING WHEEL.

When you think of their personalities too, they are similar and yet kind of opposite? 

YES ANONIE I forgot about that scene with thunder in Sleeping Beauty! and you know what? that whole thunder aspect actually came into play (or more of a sneak peek in a recent JP event!) so you mentioning that just had me *spinning in excitement*  I do agree that Sebek is loyal no matter what to malleus and that he can be somewhat manipulated because of it. But I think, as we see he is constantly thinking about his human and fae half. and I think his outlook on humans and that part of him will play a huge role in his “rebellion’ against malleus as we have seen with all first years. at one point, knights have to decide for themselves what they believe in and why they are loyal and if the lord they follow stick true to why they followed them initially. Lords can also learn from those they command over and I think malleus needs that.

(YES SEBEK VS SILVER WOULD BE A EPIC BATTLE like I can see one or the other knocking some sense into the other. they were raised and trained together right? of course they would clash eventually and I believe they have much to learn from the other too. they might both serve malleus and Lilia but we haven't seen the reasons why and I would love to know)

Sebek’s character development and identity crises is what I look forward to in book 7. I cant wait to see what role Silver does play in book 7 since he is the sword of Philip and sleeping beauty. I feel like his UM will play a big role too)

I know alot of people has a love or hate when it comes to Malleus. but I think every character has their weakness and strengths and we should not judge others for their point of view and wether they like them or not. I wouldn't say malleus is without his faults but I also wouldn’t say that everything he does is wrong. 

Malleus is royalty. He was raised without parents (possibly), protected at all costs, basically sheltered, and feared because of his powers. so of course, he doesn't know much when it comes to social interactions. plus if you add on the fact that the Valley of Thorns is still “stuck in the past” probably adds onto his social interaction issues. Lilia and malleus has mentioned before that time runs different for the fae so its difficult for them to keep track of everything and that's why he forgets about meets and such and I believe he is also young in terms of fae standards so he hasn't fully adapted. no one really goes out of thier way of inviting him either so of course it just makes him all the more lonely and seeking friendships and support in ways he can. 

but Malleus also knows what's expected of him. he is royalty so he won't cause any problems that will disgrace him or his family hence him scolding sebek over leona and why he didn't attend the whole Eliza spectacle in ghost marriage.

Jean-Michel Basquiat : If I had told my 12-year-old self that one day I'd like this type of art she wouldn't have believed me gsjwjw but oh well look at me now. I do find his work aesthetically pleasing but the main thing for me is how raw and expressive it looks, I feel like his works reflect the free nature of art and it's nice to be reminded of that from time to time. His art feels...honest? true to his heart? This sounds cheesy but it's what it makes me feel

Leonardo da Vinci : okay HEAR ME OUT, I know this is the most basic answer anyone could give but I had to include him for emotional reasons wtsgegw. Even though I admire his paintings, his art style is not necessarily my favorite, but I really value his passion for different areas. Like, I remember reading a little book about him when I was 10 (or something like that) and being amazed by how smart he was and how he studied so many different things. Extra information now but I remember a day when I was having a little crisis over how my art was inconsistent and how I had a lot of different interests and that it was all a mess so my dad simply told me something along the lines of "would you tell da vinci to focus on only one thing?" and I feel silly being compared to da vinci but it was so sweet and made sense to me so I always think about it
