"When you know you're having kids, you have all these expectations of what life's gonna be like, you know? The milestones—the first words, first steps. First crush. Then they tell you your kid's gonna be different and he's gonna have challenges other kids don't. They warn you to manage your expectations. All those milestones start to seem like a stupid fantasy."

Prison Tattoos
Tumblr media
“Rule number one for surviving prison: the tougher you look, the easier your ability to choose the person you want to be while you’re inside. Be labeled or perceived as a punk, a bitch, or a weakling, and you will have your public perception on the inside chosen for you. So you can lift weights, learn to fight, practice snarling in a mirror — you can do all these things, but none of them will accomplish as much for you as getting a [good] tattoo.” — Chris Dankovich in The Tales of a Former Prison Tattoo Artist
An alternative idea to my first, more pessimistic Season 3 Prediction, in which they find him looking a little more like this ^
For the tattoo designs I did a lot of research and I chose them carefully. The snake tattoo I chose because it is: A. Not affiliated with any particular real-world gang, B. Common among white prisoners (many prison tattoos are racially specific), and C. Notably, not a nazi thing (I did check). Snake tattoos can sometimes symbolize change or rebirth because of the way they shed their skin, but there doesn’t seem to be any one, universal meaning for them. For Blyke here, I thought it would serve as a message to other inmates: “Don’t touch me, I’m venomous.”
The rose with a dagger through it can mean many things in the free world, but in prison it means someone was locked up before they reached adulthood. I don’t know if people typically get this as kids or if they get them when they grow up (probably the latter), but I imagine that Blyke gets it because: “I was a kid when they locked me up. But now... I’m a man. Grr, hng, and other macho man noises.”

goofy idea i would have projected onto leon, but
chris being so fuckin adhd-brained and also massively muscled megaly so. he lacks spacial awareness to a degree. bro's forced at a desk to do paperwork and gets so bored and restless.
let's say he's sharing the place with piers and the CONSTANT slamming of his knees into the poor, too-small-for-bigass-soldiers desk, causes the twink to keep jumping and angrily snapping at him to watch himself.

The Winter and Spring Dates for the 2025 tour of Wild Kratts Live 2.0: Activate Creature Power have dropped and I could not be more excited!
The live tour will be heading into the state of Missouri, 9 months from now, which is where I'm currently living in for college.
I've currently registered for pre-sales today. I'm yet to find ways of obtaining V.I.P. tickets that'll allow me to meet the Kratt Brothers in person, but regardless, if all goes well, I might have a chance of heading to Wild Kratts Live for the first time in my life!!

Thursday, October 31: Queensrÿche, "Desert Dance"
Tribe sort of tried to right the ship for Queensrÿche: Chris DeGarmo came back to play and (most importantly) write, and toyed with returning to the band full-time before resurfacing all of the reasons that inspired him to leave in the first place.  But even though DeGarmo had a hand in composing half the album, the record largely played like a logical albeit less frazzled follow-up to Q2K- the songs were short but fussy, without a ton of melody or dynamics but plenty of implied complexity due to the cluttered arrangements.  “Desert Dance” had all of these things, but breathed a bit more and didn’t feel as far removed from Promised Land: written by DeGarmo alongside Geoff Tate, Michael Wilton and Scott Rockenfield, the track recalled the open-vista exploration that Queensrÿche often tried in the early ‘90s, while also layering on the crunch and churn of their late ‘90s material.  Tate sounded preposterous at times, but everyone took that as a given and at least in 2001 he was still able to summon some of the old fire when he was engaged with the material.  “Desert Dance” still played like nostalgia and was very much a post-peak track, but it offered simple charms and pleasures alongside some nice leads and rhythms.

House MD Drag Race Simulator: Week 2 Beauty Pageant Spoof
Aka "Irene is scared that AI has watched House part 2" because seriously. The three original ducklings in the bottom. Chase and Cameron against each other. Cameron being the one to leave.
Additional commentary:
Good for Taub winning the mini challenge. He hoped to gain some respect but House just started making "of course the mini queen wins the mini challenge" jokes while conveniently ignoring he won the previous one.
Thirteen winning the pageant tracks. She would have no qualms exaggerating sexy acting and making scathing comments about the institution. House was in his element but kept getting distracted from the actual premise of the challenge and insulted a guest judge. Cuddy and Thirteen talked before the challenge about how they were each other's competition.
Foreman was not able to make a fool of himself and was too stiff. Cameron had no idea how to act. She had one funny line but was so nervous about making a persona it flopped. Chase made his character's whole personality "Australian" but couldn't commit to the bit enough and annoyed Michelle.
Cameron hoped her runway would save her but alas Thirteen and Stacy also brought it and she wasn't impressive enough.
Chase was saved but warned to stop relying on that body.
Masters and Cuddy told House he could have their food if he worked with them.
Taub and Foreman hating each other tracks. Taub was feeling overconfident after a good week and Foreman had to remind him his face also looks like a brick.
