Why do we get cavities?⁣ ⁣ 3 things are needed to get cavities:⁣ 1) bacteria ⁣ 2) sugar/carbohydrate⁣ 3) tooth structure⁣ ⁣ Take out any one of those three and you no longer get cavities. ⁣ ⁣ Since we can’t rid of bacteria long term and we certainly don’t want to get rid of our teeth, the one variable we can play with is the sugar/carb consumption.⁣ ⁣ The biggest mistake most of us make is the grazing throughout the day. We snack too frequently and that lends to a lot of sugar/carb attack in our mouths. ⁣ ⁣ Lesson here: decrease the frequency of eating sugar/carbs and you will decrease your chances of getting cavities. ⁣ ⁣ Of course - you still need to brush twice and floss once, daily.⁣ ⁣ Let us know should you have any questions.
