I've said it once and I'll say it again. Astarions face without his wrinkles or laugh lines is like an angel without wings. But the mods that "correct" the odd face he makes sometimes DO NOT remove his laugh lines or wrinkles. Idk why people are saying that. All it does is either replace the expression entirely with a smirk (which I'm personally not a fan of. I like the weird face, I just like it to look like he could actually make that face without straining lol) or reduce the intensity so his upper lip doesn't go so far down that it seems unnatural for his face to make that expression. Depending on the mod. The only real difference I can see is his upper lip is more visible. Which is fine by me I love his lips lol the expression is still super goofy. Just less glitchy looking to me.

According to fairly reliable sources that face is a bug and yeah, it does look buggy. I half expected his teeth to clip through his lip sometimes. Even if it is a bug I doubt Larian would ever fix it given the response even a simple mod has caused lol

Favorite SpongeBob ships?

Oh boy, I have a lot of ships in the show (some of which are divorced ships or semi-canon ships of the Bikini Bottomites) but I'll just start off with the Main Ones that I ship.

SpongeBobXSandy - Probably one of the Main Ships in both the Show and the Fandom. The Two have a lot of perfect chemistry together and they even have such adorable moments, the two protect each other and even enjoy a lot of fun. They're also very helpful of each other since they're close friends and all, and I like how Sandy is the Badass Girl while SpongeBob's usually the "Goofy Nice Guy". Felt a bit disappointed that their past of how they met was retconned since the Third Movie only for the Spin-Offs like "Kamp Koral" and it was also kinda funny that ship was roasted in one episode of a wedding flashback (Truth or Square).

I sometimes think that SpongeBob has a crush on Her, rather or not it'd be a question, yet, they still support each other.

PatrickXMindy - I'm pretty sure everyone shipped them since the first movie in their own childhoods (including mine). Gotta admit, I always find Patrick's crush on her adorable since they are opposites attract and it's one of those "Royal Heir X Peasant" tropes. It was nice to see that Mindy did had a cameo in the Birthday special. Oh, and I guess Patrick does have a type for Girls; Mermaids (which was hinted in Legends of the Bikini Bottom).

Sherm said that Mindy is 14 and that he assumes that SpongeBob and Patrick are like kids (which makes Me believe that he doesn't know their ages which is why he thinks Mindy is young) maybe SpongeBob and Patrick are somewhat Older Adolescents too since No One really knows much about the Characters' Canon Ages (The Writers would never really know about their true ages based on how old they are).

Personally, in my POV/Headcanon, I see Patrick 17, SpongeBob 18 (based on some theories about his age), and even Sandy 19. (But in most of my AUs, Mindy is 19-21 while Patrick is 22 in some of my AUs, mostly from my Human AU.)

SquidwardXSquilvia - It was nice to see that Squidward finally had a love interest of his own (but sadly, much like Mindy, Squilvia is just a one appearance character even though Mindy did at least came back at the show one time). I felt bad for Squidward being so lonely all the time he couldn't find someone like him who he could love. Personally, I think Squilvia has the same interests that Squidward has, if she could find a Man like Him, then Squidward would find a Woman like Her.

Gotta love on how SpongeBob instantly ships them together since Squidward is honestly the Tsundere type who has feelings for Squilvia. I can see Squilvia having sympathy for Squidward on how rough his life was as she could relate to the same way as him. I think these two would have been perfect as Husband and Wife 💙

Hoping for Squilvia, she might make another appearance in the Modern Episodes.

NeptuneXAmphitrite - Surprise to see that I would instantly brought up Neptune's ship since he's one of my favorite characters? Lmao, thought so 🤭

I know that we barley see them together, especially in "The Clash of Triton" and even though it's unknown on what happened to Amphitrite and Triton in the First Movie, I'd like to think that Neptune and his Wife were separated once.

Even though we haven't gotten a backstory about them, I headcanon that in Ancient Times, they didn't mind at first but when they got to know each other, their romance blossomed into love (but Amphitrite was already in a relationship with Poseidon as Neptune technically stole his Greek Counterpart's Girl and won her heart in a fight).

In their Teen Years, I see that their relationship would be pretty similar to Bambi and Faline from "Bambi" (imagine Neptune and Amphitrite's love scene with the song, "I Bring You A Song"/"Looking for Romance" in the background lol)

I guess Amphitrite was chosen to be Neptune's Queen so they can produce an Heir to the Throne but their feelings do matter for each other since hey, Amphitrite respects her Husband a lot.

So yeah, that's about it. I ain't going to feature all of the other ships in cuz that would take a lot of exhausting work to explain a lot. But these that I picked out are my Number One ships in the Show.

Spongebob Movie 2020 - Sponge on the Run Review (Spoilers ahead! Be warned!)

Ok. I've watched Sponge on the Run yesterday, and the movie is a... mixed bag for me. In general I did laugh out loud at the jokes, and there were actually genuine heartfelt moments too, but there are a few issues with the movie I do have to address.

Lets start with the positives first. The animation is wonderful. At first fans were either angry or sceptical that the third Spongebob movie was gonna be in 3-D instead of 2-D. I wasn't that fussed to be honest, but at the same time it would be nice for the 2-D style of animation to make a comeback one day. Not just with Spongebob but with animated movies in general. The 3-D animation could have easily been an eye-sore to look at, like the Beast in the Beauty and the Beast Remake, or the early Sonic design for the live action Sonic movie 😱 but it's not (thank god). The animation is colorful, pleasing to the eye and all the characters are expressive and fun to watch, just like their 2-D counterparts 😊

The story and the jokes in the beginning were meh at best. Spongebob and Patrick saying "Hello!" over and over again felt like a joke borrowed from a bad modern Family Guy episode of having it being too repetitive and dragged out. The only parts I laughed at was Plankton and the coin slot joke and Squidward's cynical/miserable attitude in general (so relatable 😂) and Patrick and Spongebob's interactions when Gary is missing 🥺

The middle of the movie is where it gets really entertaining. The casino jokes get the biggest laugh out of me, it reminded me of the first movie where Spongebob and Patrick get drunk from the icecream XD. Also when Sage said he's rather burn himself, after dealing with Spongebob and Patrick's antics, that also got a laugh (He's like a dissapointed father figure XD) Squidward fanboying over his favorite clarinet artist also kills me XD (he is so happy in a dorky way, it's amusing xD) The patty moblie also gets an upgrade to look like a Subway Sandwich LOL, cool idea and nice callback to the first movie, and Spongebob saying 'Crappy.' No joke, he said that XD

The speeches that each character gives about why Spongebob should not get killed infront of a thousand people on stage is without a doubt my favorite part of the movie. Each character (Sandy, Patrick, Mr.Krabs and Squidward) give a meaningful and heartfelt speech about how much Spongebob means to them individually and all the characters were in character. I was actually touched by this moment (Also Spongebob as a little kid is adorable, especially with him and Gary meeting for the first time, awwww.) The song they sing together is catchy enough, but it is no goofy goober rock or ocean man.

The climax was alright, I liked it when the gang work together to beat the guards and escape the palace. I did like the message at the end of the movie of the Merman King accepting his flawed apperance and fully embracing it, and the ending was.... cute with the snails being free and all. It wasn't anything too special, and they randomly use the song 'Take on me' for some reason 🤔 Ah yes, very suitable song for freeing the snails❓

Ok.... now my problems with the movie. As I said, the beginning was the weakest part for me, it felt like a bit of a drag and honestly felt like I was watching a standard Spongebob episode, than an actual movie. The Krusty Krab scene just felt mundane to me (A good metaphor for reality, but still, it could have been funnier.)

Spongebob and Patrick fighting in the boat/car was pointless and the zombie pirates idea at an old western bar sounds like a fun idea on paper (even if western bars are more accosicated with cowboys), but the execution amounts to nothing but a silly dance and a rap by Snoop Dog.... (this is just dumb, no offence Snoop Dog)

The bad guy at the bar had a cool introduction with the flaming boots and the fire powers, he could have been an intimidating threat like Dennis, but gets defeated with ease and turns into a tornado and chases them down before falling flat on his face on the road. It turns out it was just a vision by Sage. To me, it was a pointless scene.

Plankton finally gets the formula, and once again it amounts to nothing (show, don't tell us what happened.) After that... Mr.Krabs lets Plankton into his group to help find Spongebob and Patrick with Squidward and Sandy. Ok....❓

The new Merman King is just a ripoff of King Neptune from the first movie without him being that funny or having a threatning presence. He's insecure about his apperance and is threatening to execute the main leads, sound familiar? In fact the whole movie feels like a rehash of the first movie, but instead of the crown being missing, it is Gary this time around. While I do respect his bravery to embrace his flawed apperance at the end (and Spongebob teasing him beforehand was pretty funny.) I wish the character would stand out more as his own character.

The last problem I have, is that some of the flashbacks of Spongebob's childhood of Camp Coral were completely pointless. Especially when it came to Sandy. Sandy and Spongebob first met on the Episode "Tree at the Treedome" as young adults, but the movie gives the vibe that the "Tree at the Treedome" episode was not how they 'really met' and instead they both met up since childhood. Ok with Gary and Patrick.... I could let slide, and they were nice scenes.

Sponfebob and Gary didn't really have a backstory on how they met (Ok, maybe you can make a slim arguement in a hinted photograph book, about how they met in 'Have you seen that snail' Episode.)

So I can accept that they met at Kamp Koral.

Spongebob and Patrick I would 100% believe that they would be childhood friends (Again there was a reference in Secret box that they were best friends since they were children) so again, not far fetched that they met at Kamp Koral, but with Sandy and the others.... it wasn't nessecary. It wasn't terrible or anything, just pointless. I would have liked it better if Sandy just said the speech without the flashback (The same with Squidward and Mr.Krabs.)

Long story short, the movie did feel like a reboot version of the first movie and the story is arguably weak, but it did have moments that made me giggle, but it wasn't enough to save the movie as a whole.

I just wish the whole story was more unique and original. Hell, even a sequel to the 1st movie would be preferable at this point, like the return of princess Mindy or something, or Dennis somehow coming back to life.

Overall, it could have been a better movie, sponge on the run. 5/10

Top 5 Red Dwarf episodes. :)

Only five?!? Surely you ask too much of me!! However I will valiantly continure on with a list that’s in no particular order bc I don’t have like a number one all time fave episode. Also take this list with a grain of salt bc season 2 is the one that I watched most recently so like..it’s more on my mind than the others. This list will probably change in like a week. 

1. Parallel Universe

What can I say. I love wamen. I also love just the story as a whole and how it influenced the greater Red Dwarf universe and also Tounge Tied is my favorite cold open of anything ever. There’s absolutely no reason for a musical number here but fuck it they’re gonna do it anyway and that’s a decision I will ALWAYS respect. 

2. The Inquisitor

This episode combined with that one fairly odd parents episode where timmy wishes he was never born are the reasons that I’ve been having an existential crisis since I was eight goddamn years old. Also “Some might say I’m a pretty shallow guy, but a shallow guy with a great ass” is one of my all time favorite Cat lines. 

3. Polymorph

Love me a good ridiculous sci-fi critter. Also love me a good ridiculous plot that let’s the actors get to do something utterly ridiculous. I want a “give quiche a chance” shirt.

4. Dimension Jump

ACE! ACE! ACE! ACE! ACE! ACE!

5. Skipper

I gotta have at least ONE episode from the Dave Era and this one is definitely my favorite one. It’s OBVIOUSLY meant to be a huge nostalgia fest and like...it worked like a charm for me. Plus like...alternate universes are always my jam give me an episode where you get to explore what ifs and alternates and I’m into, a probably evidenced by this list actually. Also I cried laughing at the giant rat costume. I still cry laughing when I see it. I laughed a lot during the series but the rat costume got me the hardest I cannot describe how unfathomably funny it is to me. I DON”T EVEN KNOW WHY. I know I KNOW I’ve already talked about how good this costume is but like..it’s the height of comedy.

Me2- funny, highlights rimmer’s character development, have thought about the novel saying that lister was the one that changed him for 40 years now

Justice- the justice field slaps what a cool concept

Stoke me a clipper- it sucks that rimmer leaves but it was a really cool way of doing it. also i like the twist that thousands of rimmers have been ace and any of them can don the wig. Still want arlene ace. also p gay and i’m always a fan of that.

Blue- WHAT’S BETTAH THAN THIS JUST GUYS BEING DUDES JUST DUDES BEING GUYS JUST GUYS BEING GAY SHOW ME YOUR PINING LISTER

Backwards- good n goofy concept. also the whole “nodnol” exchange really shows how few brain cells the crew has 

terrorform- me wandering around rimmer’s mind planet: lol fucked up if true. Also got to the “here lies squidward’s hopes and dreams” joke first

legion- rimmer gets a “hard” light mode wink fukin wonk

Lol, for the most part I say I keep my Tumblr just for my DBZ stuff and don’t put my face out there, but I’ve been kinda breaking the rules with shit like this.

Just finished this. DBZ has forced me to get more comfortable with drawing muscles, so I had to draw my humanized version of my weird imaginary friend boi Sir Scribbles.

Sir Scribbles is a character I made up immediately after I got by drawing tablet some years ago. He kinda just... burst out m’ brain. He originally was basically just a sassy living tablet, but now he’s become more than that, he’s really like an embodiment of my inspirations and creativity... in the physical form of an overly handsome rectangle or buff blue dude. 

I find the fact that Sir Scribbles has become pretty important to me a little interesting. Some people might see him and assume he’s designed the way he is because that face is what I’d find “attractive”, but nah, he wasn’t based off of what I personally find attractive, he was designed like an imaginary friend, not a lover. The wiser or more knowledgeable person would say his looks are based off of characters like Handsome Squidward, and the King of All Cosmos, and that is much more accurate. He was made to be flamboyant and overly perfect caricature, which now that I think about it is very fitting, he’s like my artistic passion and naturally bubbly and goofy side of me got bottled up so hard it birthed a new being. The powerpuff girl of my brain.  

He’s my partner in art trash crime now.
