HELLO HI HELLO I AM!!! RECOVERING CURRENTLY!!!!
So I haven't posted in a small moment and planned to get myself going again soon but right now I am recovering from an accident (I won't get into the nitty gritty) that has left me quite shaken. FIRST OFF I AM OKAY! Minor injuries so nothing alarming I am physically fine besides being sore for a bit and some scrapes and bruises that are still healing, including my arms which is making drawing a bit difficult. I'm slowly getting better but cant really draw for long periods and honestly I might not draw much for a bit till I feel better both physically and mentally. its the mentally part that might take some time. But I'm resting, rest assured!
ANYWAY this is more just an update cause I know i've been a lil absent. ESPECIALLY after this accident. I'm not abandoning the blog by any means, def still check on tumblr but couldn't seem to muster the energy to interact with much at the moment as my brain is a little rattled up.
I hope yall are all okay! I hope your days are bright and yall are taking care of yourselves!

I am normal#WHICH SPEAKING OF! man I love the sholmes + mikotoba partner twist so much even if i got a bit spoiled about it. i just think they're neat.#The partners of all time I think.#Also also the found family!?!?!? I am A SUCKER for found family. they fed me so well.#funny thing was the barok character development surprised me despite the fact that I also expected it since the first game lolol.#I do think he's an interesting character and probably one of the best character development in the game. And that I find his design cool.#oh yeah I didn't draw it but when I saw that albert mentioned that barok is “the darling of the van zieks family” I was genuinely like.#huh? wdym. like man at the time “van zieks” and “little darling” feels wrong in the same sentence. that was until I saw his pre-#-trauma pictures n well. albert isn't wrong. which was a slight surprise to me.#In conclusion: I liked it a lot. and now occupies parts of my brain along with my other brainrots.#They fight for priority in my brain whenever I try to sleep or disassociate lol. kind of baffled by how many ppl thought "collector returns to the stars" meant "collector went to return to their family." I doubt that the only 2 things in this universe is the planet the boiling isles is on and wherever the archivists are from, and I feel like the point was very much that the collector is leaving the planet/realm he was trapped on for ages to explore the vastness of space and meet new people. Its obviously him putting his own spin on what the archivists do, to learn from all that is out there in the universe hands-on rather than kept frozen in time behind a glass.
#I think for what little we know of the archivists#you can definitely draw some lines between them and the idea of like#archaeology/preservation/museums being used as a tool of colonization#DISCALIMER of that shit is often more complex than what ppl think it is but#like if we're following the themes of the show the natural throughline here is that the archivists steal and kill for the sake#of a false 'preservation' which is really just keeping things in stasis for their own pleasure. divorced from their cultural context#not taken with permission and often procured through violent means#and casually disregarded if inconvientent#the collector traveling to learn for the sake of learning rather than dominating and controlling as he did with the boiling isles#is obviously a healthier form of this archival work#anyways just my 2 cents lol#watching and dreaming#the owl house#toh spoilers#the collector
