I don’t think this is the general mood but is anyone else excited for Matt and CR to explore stories and worlds beyond Exandria? Obviously I’ve greatly enjoyed that world and the stories they told there but I’m always excited for new things.

I think there’s often a trend in fandoms of wanting any new content to be “the same, but more” so I’d like to instead express how excited I am to explore new and different. I want to be surprised! I’d love to fall in love with something completely surprising.

Bet on yourself! This is a year that you will be happy to do things that scare you! Believe in yourself! This is the year to embrace challenges that intimidate you! View this as a chance for personal growth and development. You will learn that when the year is done, you will appreciate the fact that you have stepped outside your comfort zone and tried; putting you in positions you never thought you'll be in! You miss 100% of of the shots you dont take. 💋

RACING AU - Toshinori is one of the first graduates from the One for All Racing Academy, managed by Nana, and after an incredible debut last year when he scored points for 🌟FA (Nana's license to drive was unceremoniously revoked by AFO, because he is a dick), he's signed on for the 20XW season!

For ages now I've been telling everyone I know that I want to make a reduction woodblock print and now there's an exhibition coming up in another graphic studio that I've been encouraged to make work for.

Also my therapist has been trying to give me a little push in the back, to be my "big stick," for me to take steps toward doing stuff I have mental blockades for.

So the last couple of days I've been sketching and planning and purchasing materials and I hate that I don't really feel any excitement, I'm just weirdly really scared. It's just really complicated and I have so little energy and creative juice that I'm afraid it's just going to be a huge waste of time/energy/money.

As I'm sure some of you have noticed, my tolerance for bullshit is exceedingly low these days. I genuinely do not wish to be overreactive or mean and I would genuinely appreciate a nudge from my mutuals if you believe I'm behaving that way. However I am also both (1) tired generally and (2) tired specifically of people in my life taking for granted that I will have endless patience for thoughtless behavior, and then treating me like I'm the one who's broken the social contract on the rare occasion I'm sharp or impatient in response. Think before you speak.

Replayed Undertale and had a thought, perhaps the human-monster conflict was exacerbated by monsters underestimating their own magic and hurting humans by accident? I'm sure fandom discussed this before sometime, and I know everyone talks about Frisk's self-defense and whether their decision to fight would be morally wrong, but like yeah, a lot of the non-boss monsters talk as if they never meant to harm the human at all. Even among boss-level monsters, let's say Papyrus... An early spike in difficulty in neutral/pacifist routes, super easy to die to, and yet the way he acts in No Mercy route leads me to think he wasn't fighting with the intent to kill at all. In fact aside from Undyne, Sans in No Mercy and Asgore, nobody is that serious about killing the protagonist. Plenty of other enemies claim that they plan to do that but then are easily distracted or swayed, acting like it was never that serious.. ...And yet the game clearly assumes that you'd die at least a couple of times. Of course, the human is also a child so we can assume it's much easier to hurt them than an adult, but I'm just saying, I could easily imagine monsters unintentionally hurting humans before the war and playing it down due to their whimsical and light-hearted nature, provoking even more anger... That could be an interesting layer to the story where we only see the situation from the monsters' perspective. Obviously most likely the game is just Not That Serious about these things in general, it's all pretty much silly fun, but idk yeah!

Another question for the Skulduggery Pleasant fandom, because I've just finished reading the Haunted House on Hollow Hill, and I feel like I'm missing something.

Do we get two explanations for how the police officer (Dudley) dies? First is that Grody killed him (and is used as an alibi for Grody & how there is more than one killer abroad) and the other is that Terry did it (and he openly admits it) - the second option is clearly the correct one, given the confession, but it just felt odd that there's not even a nod back to the first red herring.
