Creating plot holes is my favourite thing to do. Fixing them, oh well. Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy this chapter as well, it's a bit calmer than the last one.
Chapter IX
"Just a tool?"
She slowly got up from the pavement, dusting herself off, for the first time in weeks missing the mess in her head. Now it was strangely empty, almost quiet, and making her unable to come up with anything that’d explain what happened. Alice was just as confused as Wade and Logan, who were staring at her like vultures stare at a carcass.
“Stop looking at me like that, I have no idea either. And being stared down like I just committed a federal level of crime isn’t helping at all.”
She hissed at them, before taking a deep breath. There were so many questions that she needed answers for, but didn’t even know where to start at this point. What exactly happened? Was it all an illusion? Was it real? Why is it spring again? The weird sense of deja vu was seeping into her whole body, she definitely lived through that day already. It was making her uneasy and almost nauseous.
“It’s possible that you actually did that.”
Logan’s voice pulled her away from  her mind for a while.
“Yeah doll, it was crazy, and definitely painful, never do that again if possible, hated every second of it. BUT most importantly, how did you even do that? I’m used to your migraine trick but this? You destroyed half a city and then suddenly put it all back while changing a season.”
Wade like always was quite a chatterbox about what just happened, but this time it did nothing to actually make her feel better. If anything, she was only feeling worse about it all happening in the first place.
“I’d love to know as well. I remember being in pain and then all of that happening. The only positive outcome is that my head is completely quiet, I haven’t had that for years now.”
She sighed again, sinking deeper into the hoodie as the cold air reached her. It was all so unpleasant and weird that she didn’t want to be here anymore. She reached for her phone, why? Why not? Her heart sank a bit deeper as she saw the date. They were back by two and a half years. Cold shiver ran down her spine as she showed it to Wade and Logan. Whatever happened, took them back in time by quite a lot. She felt dizzy, catching onto Wade’s shirt sleeve. What did she do? Was it really her doing? Did she just pull back the timeline by so much? But was it ever possible?
“I think we should go home, I doubt talking about it all here is safe.”
Right. TVA probably had her as a target already, but staying in the open was making her way easier to get caught by them, maybe even hurt. Better to stay down until they’ll come up with any way to explain all this or to understand it.
“Good question if we still have a home. It’s been two and a half years. We didn’t even know each other then.”
Shit. Logan was right again. Why did he have to be right? There was always an option of going back to Althea, but it seems that at the time line they popped at Deadpool and Wolverine weren’t a duo yet as well. Explaining all that might be way more difficult than it seems. Alice bit the inside of her cheek, feeling the small bit of flesh pull from it, leaving uneven texture.
“Doesn’t hurt to check. If not… We’ll figure something out from there. For now, let’s just check.”
Her voice was still shaky. It all was so much and so confusing at the same time, she’d take the voices over that at any given moment. It would’ve been much safer for the whole city probably.
For now, they decided to just go back to the apartment, in hopes of it being still the same, unchanged, still theirs somehow. Because there has to be a way for that, right? After all, she just manipulated time somehow, and that was meant to be impossible without certain machines from what she learned up until now. It seems that the world and its rules change every now and then, but they just forget to notify anyone, and this is the outcome. Back in the past. She was walking the fastest out of their trio, probably scared the most about it all like that, or maybe the least alerted against TVA, after all, Wolverine shouldn’t be there as well. They haven’t saved this world yet, he was still the worst Wolverine that was ever there, at least in the eyes of many, many other people. Ugh it was all so confusing. She crossed the streets without watching out for cars or other people, there was no time to care for others as she might’ve just ended her whole world. Or have given the opportunity of it getting destroyed once more. Unless it didn’t affect anything else but the destroyed part of the city. Then the future stays known to some, the same, untouched, Cassandra still dead and no danger in sight. That would’ve been perfect. Why was she thinking about Cassandra again? Fuck, even dead this woman was in her mind all this damn time, it was getting so annoying.
Finally she reached the right street, entering the building with the same code as always, at least that one worked, but maybe it wasn't changed between the owners? Better to not get her hopes too high up in all that. She patted her pockets for the keys only to remember she left while in quite not fit state to remember about anything but the urge to leave. She reached the door and gently pushed on the handle, the door opening. Now it’s going to be awkward if anyone lives here instead of them. Alice cursed under her breath, taking a step inside, but it looked just like it always did. There were even their jackets in the hallway. She walked deeper in. The living room, the balcony, everything looking the same as always, it was their home. The only thing lacking was Merry Puppins that was nowhere to be seen, her bowls also gone. Looks like whatever it was, affected people and animals but not things? Oh it was getting even more confusing. She sat down in the living room, waiting for Logan and Wade to get there, anyone to remember as much as her, so she wouldn’t drown alone.
Soon, they entered as well, seeing the open door, just like her seconds ago, they did a little investigation, both really upset about the dog being nowhere to be found. No wonder, they all grew attached to her disgusting but oh so lovely muzzle. Alice looked at them when they sat down as well, the atmosphere was heavy and her guild was only thickening it all. Maybe her parents were right and she was nothing but a monster? After all, all this destruction happened because of her. Or did it really? She was unsure. Deeply.
“Any ideas about what you have done, and how you’ve done it?”
“No. Not this time. I don’t know how it happened. But we’re alright, so maybe it’s okay, I mean we just have to somehow get to the Void and convince Nicepool to give us Marry back and snatch Laura with us and everything will be just like it w- Ugh, who am I trying to fool? Nothing is okay and I have no idea what happend. I just wanted to fix all that damage, I was thinking about the last memory I haad of that street and then it happened.”
She sighed, hiding her face in her hands. The silence that fell on them was making her even worse about herself and about what she had done. How were they supposed to get Dogpool and Laura back? There’s no promise of them being in the Void as well, maybe she just erased them completely by accident? Hopefully not, or she’d probably really take a swan dive from the nearest skyscraper.
The time is passing slowly when there’s a whole lot of painful silence filling the air instead of the usual loud and happy talks. But the evening eventually reached them, Wade fell asleep as he was complaining about being in more pain than usual as well, it was good for him that he could rest for a while. Logan was walking around, brows furrowed, clearly deeply in thoughts, but Alice refrained from looking into his mind. Not scared of what she’ll find, but of the possibility of the loud voices coming back and making her regret being alive again. Or causing more damage. There was definitely enough of it already. So she just sat there, trying to find answers in her own mind, but it seemed to work awfully slow this time.
After it got already dark outside, she finally got up, walking over to the kitchen, to get herself something tasty to eat, a snack at least, after all it’s been over a day since she ate anything. Her stomach was painfully cramping over the air that filled it, making it hard to breathe sometimes. She opened the fridge, looking around the options, even though that didn’t change. Why wasn’t this place affected? Was it because it was outside the damage range? But then why wasn't Dogpool there anymore? It made no sense. Alice grabbed the yogurt and leaned with her back on the nearby cupboard, her mind trying to run fast ahead but held in place by some invisible power. How annoying again. That was when Logan approached her again, a little less angry, but there was something in his eyes that was making her unsure if she wanted to talk to him at all.
“So you can manipulate time, huh?”
Oho, this definitely wasn’t good, she could tell that much already.
“Looks like it. But I don’t know how. At least not yet.”
“How far do you think you can go? You know… With the rewind?”
Oh no.  Oh no. She knew where this was going. That glint in his eyes, the sad undertone of his words. She knew what he wanted, and also deep down she knew she couldn't give it to him. Something was telling her that her limits were bound to her age. How was she supposed to go farther than she existed? Even if she could, wouldn’t that be a very stupid and dangerous idea.
“I can’t bring them back, Logan?”
That look in his eyes turned into pure anger. For a while almost a bloodlust shining through that. He was still the same Wolverine after all, the one that murdered everything and everyone in sight out of pure anger. She had to get out of here. Quickly. But it was almost like he read her mind this time, locking her in by the cupboard, then grabbing the hoodie in his hands, balling his fists and lifting her a bit by it. That caused her to go into fight or flight, she was ready to fight back to get away.
“Why not? You can use your stupid tricks just like that, but when for once you could be useful you just decide to refuse? Just like that? You’re so goddamn selfish that seeing you alive is sometimes the worst pain in my ass I can imagine. Always using it all for yourself, never even trying to help. A trash laying around has more purpose than you do!”
He yelled straight to her face and Alice could’ve sworn she felt her blood boil at that point.
“Selfish?! Trash!? You call me all that after I was the one to pay most of the bills and take you here so you wouldn’t have to live with Althea in her small flat?! You dare to call me all that when it’s YOU who didn’t save your friends?! Maybe if you wouldn’t be all focused on getting your sorry ass drunk, they would’ve lived or at least you would’ve die with them so I wouldn’t have to watch your fucking face every damn day!”
Sure, she said too much, at the same time unknowingly inflicting a huge headache on him, making it barely bearable to stand, let alone think. That’s why he let go of her, and she immediately used this to just leave, run towards the door.
“Run you little whore, that’s what you’re good at!”
He yelled after her, still clutching his aching head. Alice left, slamming the door behind herself, just running down the stairs and towards the cold streets. Anger bubbling in her chest, making her unable to slow down for now. Outside. The cold air hit her face, making her emotions slow down a bit, but still very raw and strong. She just started walking ahead, towards the metro station, maybe a change of scenery will help her a bit? But with every step and a blow of cold wind, she was slowing down a bit, soon tears filling her eyes. She didn’t mean all that, and was sure he didn’t as well. It was all because of anger, regret and fear. The big three of arguments. She started wiping off her tears, while still slowly walking ahead, trying to calm down fully. She stopped at the red light, only after a moment noticing how quiet it was around, it was almost unnatural, the sudden steps behind her making her jump, but before she could even react, and turn, she felt a dull hit to the back of her head, making her slowly fall into the darkness again, she tried to fight back, catching a glimpse of a black uniform, and the street in a blue light, the red one flicking green, but she wasn’t going to pass it anymore. Cold pavement not helping her stay awake, she slowly slipped into unconsciousness with a deep feeling that this won’t end well at all.

Do I Look Like Him

Warnings: none I think, maybe logan is OOC
NOT PROOFREAD.
Logan stepped through the door of Wade's apartment. The air inside was thick with the scent of stale pizza and something that might have once been a burrito.  He hesitated for a moment, the noise from the TV filling the silence—some superhero flick, loud and chaotic. The place was a mess, as expected, but it was oddly comforting.
He’d been through hell and back in his own universe, but this? This was something else entirely. The walls were plastered with posters of himself—no, not himself, but Wolverine. The absurdity of it made him grit his teeth. This wasn’t his world, and yet, here he was, dragged into a mess that wasn’t his to clean.
Wade had a knack for trouble, and Logan had been foolish enough to follow him into it. After their recent escapades—fighting off some half-baked villains and dealing with Wade’s incessant chatter—Logan felt the dull throb of a headache creeping in. He needed a drink. Or ten.
He rubbed the back of his neck, feeling the tension knotting there. His world had turned upside down, and it had only been a few days since he found himself in this bizarre universe.
“Hey, peanut! You’re late!” Wade’s voice rang out, full of that irritating cheerfulness that grated on Logan’s nerves. Logan glanced up, catching sight of Wade lounging on the couch, a bowl of popcorn in his lap, his mask pulled up just enough to reveal that crooked grin.
“Didn’t realize I was on a schedule,” Logan muttered, his tone heavy with annoyance. He didn’t need this. Not now. Not after everything that had happened back home.
“Yeah, well, you missed the best part! They just killed off a major character!” Wade’s eyes sparkled with mischief. “You know how it goes—death, resurrection, all that jazz. Just like you!”
Logan rolled his eyes. “You’re not helping, Wade.”
“Aw, come on!” Wade jumped up, tossing the popcorn aside. “You’re in a new universe! Live a little! Have some fun! Get laid!” He winked, and Logan rolled his eyes at the thought.
Logan didn’t respond. Instead, he moved deeper into the cluttered apartment, scanning the area for something—anything—that would give him a moment of reprieve from Wade’s relentless energy. That’s when he noticed a photo frame atop a pile of comic books. A picture of a woman smiled back at him, hugging a man who looked like him, but more aged.
His heart sank.
“Who’s that?” Logan asked, trying to appear uninterested.
“Oh, that’s your girl! Well, sort of,” Wade replied, his tone shifting slightly. “She’s also my sister. Well, half.. Anyway, she’s amazing!”
Logan’s fists clenched at his sides. “What do you mean, my girl? I don’t—”
“Right! Sorry! I forgot! You’re from a different universe! It’s confusing, I know.” Wade smirked, clearly enjoying the chaos of it all. “But trust me, she’s the best. I mean, if you’re into that whole ‘living’ thing. You are, right?”
“Where is she?” Logan asked, keeping his voice steady.
“She’s around here somewhere. Probably avoiding you,” Wade chuckled, but there was a hint of sincerity in his tone. “She’s been a bit… skittish since you showed up. Can’t blame her, though. You know how it is with family drama.”
Before he could respond, the sound of footsteps echoed from a hallway, and Logan’s breath caught in his throat. You appeared, your presence radiating an energy that was both familiar and foreign.
“Wade, I—” you began, your voice faltering as your eyes landed on Logan..
“Look who I found! It’s Logan!” Wade announced, clearly oblivious to the charged atmosphere that had enveloped the room.
Your expression shifted, confusion and recognition battling for dominance. “No, that- that isn’t him. That’s not Logan.” You said, your voice trembling slightly as hot tears began to well in your eyes at the sight of this stranger wearing Logan’s face.
“Well, technically-” Wade began to explain, but you stormed back down the hall, slamming the door to your room. After a moment of silence, “Well, that went well!” “Shut the hell up, Wade.” —-----------------------------------------------------
The days slipped by in a blur of muted colors and half-formed conversations. Logan found himself wandering the apartment, the walls echoing with the laughter and chaos of Wade’s universe. You avoid him like the plague, slipping through the apartment like a ghost. It was as if you had cast a spell of invisibility around yourself, one that Logan was helpless to penetrate.
Wade, ever the optimist, tried to coax you down for meals, suggesting movie nights, or even just a simple game of cards. But you never came down. Instead, you found excuses to stay away, disappearing into the city, leaving Logan alone with his thoughts. Each time you left, he felt the weight of her absence like a physical blow.
He tried to give you space, respecting your need to process everything, but it gnawed at him. The ache in his chest grew heavier with each passing day. He was a man used to fighting battles, but this was a different kind of warfare—one fought in silence and solitude. He doesn’t know why it bugs him so much. It shouldn’t. He doesn’t know you. It’s probably just sympathy. Right?
When you did venture down, it was always under the cover of darkness, as if you feared the light would expose your vulnerabilities. Logan would catch glimpses of you, a fleeting shadow slipping past the kitchen door, or the sound of your laughter echoing from somewhere beyond his reach. Each time, his heart would leap, only to plummet when you vanished again.
One evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in shades of fiery orange and deepening blue, you finally emerged. Logan had been sitting on the couch, his mind a chaotic swirl of thoughts, when he heard the soft creak of the floorboards. He looked up, his breath catching in his throat as he saw you standing in the doorway, a hesitant silhouette against the dim light of the hallway.
“Hey,” he said, trying to keep his voice steady despite the sudden rush of emotions.
“Hey,” you replied, your eyes darting away, avoiding his gaze. There was a tension in the air, thick and palpable, as if they were two strangers in a crowded room. Which, the first part isn’t entirely wrong.
Logan took a breath, willing himself to be patient. “I was thinking about ordering some food. Want to join?”
“I… I can’t,” you stammered, yout voice barely above a whisper. “I have plans.”
Disappointment washed over him, but he forced a nod. “Alright. Maybe another time?”
“Maybe,” you said, your eyes lingering on him for just a moment before you turned to leave.
“Wait,” he called out, desperation creeping into his voice. “Can we just talk for a minute? Please?”
You hesitated, your hand hovering over the door frame as if caught in a battle between flight and fight. Finally, you sighed and stepped back into the room, though your body language screamed of discomfort.
“What do you want to talk about?” you asked, folding your arms tightly across your chest.
Logan searched for the right words, the ones that could bridge the chasm between them. “I just… I don’t want you to feel like you have to avoid me. I know this is hard for you.”
“It’s not just hard,” you shot back, your voice rising with hurt. “It’s impossible. You look like him, you sound like him, but you’re not him!”
“I know I’m not,” Logan said, his tone earnest. “I’m not him and I never will be. You need to accept that he’s gone.”
You looked away, your expression twisting with pain. “I don’t know how to do that.”
“I understand. Just take it one step at a time.”
“Like you’re doing?” you asked, your voice laced with sarcasm.
Logan winced. “Touché. I’m just trying to be honest.”
The silence that followed felt heavy, a dense fog of unspoken words and unresolved emotions. He watched you, noting the way your fingers fidgeted, the way your eyes glistened as you fought against the tide of your feelings.
“Okay,” you said finally, your voice softer. “I’ll try.”
“Thank you,” he replied, relief flooding through him. “That’s all I can ask.”
But just as hope began to take root, you turned to leave again. “I really can’t stay, Logan. I have to go.”
“Wait!” he called out again, his frustration bubbling to the surface. “What are you doing out there? What’s out there that’s better than being here?”
You paused, your back to him, and for a moment, he thought you might turn around. “It’s not about what’s out there. It’s about what’s in here,” you said.
With that, you slipped out of the room, leaving Logan alone once more, a hollow ache gnawing at his insides.
—-----------------------------------------------------
Days turned into weeks, and the pattern continued. You would occasionally come down, but their conversations remained brief, filled with awkward silences and unfulfilled glances. Every time you spoke to him, it was a delicate dance—one misstep, and you would retreat again, leaving him with nothing but the echoes of your presence.
One afternoon, as the sun cast a warm glow through the apartment, you wandered into the kitchen while Logan was cleaning up after lunch. He caught sight of you out of the corner of his eye, and hope fluttered in his chest.
“Hey,” he said, looking up.
“Hey,” you replied, your voice soft but guarded. You moved to the fridge, rummaging through it as if searching for something to distract yourself.
“You want a sandwich?” he offered. “I made some earlier.”
“No, I’m fine,” you said too quickly, closing the fridge door with a soft thud.
Logan felt the familiar pang of disappointment. “You sure? It’s really good.”
“I believe you,” you responded, her tone clipped.
They fell into an uneasy silence, the air thick with words left unspoken. Logan watched her, the way you fidgeted with your hair, the way your gaze darted around the room, avoiding him.
“Do you ever think about him?” he asked suddenly, the question slipping from his lips before he could stop it.
Your body stiffened, and for a moment, he thought you might walk away again. Instead, you turned to face him, your eyes glistening with emotion. “All the time,”you admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.
“What do you remember?” Logan asked, leaning against the counter, trying to keep his voice casual. But inside, he felt like he was walking on a tightrope, balancing on the edge of your memories.
“Everything,” you replied, your eyes shimmering as if lost in a distant past. “The way he would hold me when I was scared. The stupid jokes he made to lighten the mood. The way he fought for me.”
Logan swallowed hard, the sting of your words cutting deep. “I’m not him,” he reminded her, his voice low.
“I know,” you said, frustration breaking through your sadness. “But it’s hard to separate the two of you. You’re so similar, and yet… you’re not.”
“I’m trying to be someone you can lean on,” he said, his heart aching with the weight of her pain. “But I can’t do that if you keep pushing me away.”
Your eyes flashed with anger. “You think you can just step in and fill that void? Be the one who makes everything better? It doesn’t work that way, Logan!”
“I’m not trying to replace him,” he countered, his voice rising in defense. “I just want to be here for you. Just give me a chance!”
You sighed, the fight draining from you. “I don’t know how. I don’t know if I can.”
“Then let’s start small,” Logan suggested, his tone softening. “Just talk to me. About anything. About your day. About anything but him.”
For a moment, your gaze dropped, and he could see the struggle within you. “Okay,” you finally said, your voice trembling slightly. “I can try that.”
“Good,” he replied, relief flooding through him once more. “What did you do today?”
You hesitated, then shrugged. “I walked around the city.”
“Did you find anything interesting?”
You looked away, a faint heat creeping into your cheeks. “I found a little café. It had the best pastries. I thought about bringing some back, but…”
“But?”
“It felt wrong,” you murmured, your voice barely a whisper. “Like I was trying to pretend everything was okay when it’s not.”
Logan’s heart ached for you. “You can still enjoy things. It doesn’t mean you’re forgetting him. It just means you’re living.” He said, more to himself than you.
“I don’t want to live without him,” you admitted, yourr voice breaking. “I don’t know how to do that.”
“Maybe we can figure it out together,” he offered, stepping closer, his heart racing. “I may not be him, but I’m still here. And I care about you.”
You met his gaze, and for a fleeting moment, he thought he saw a flicker of understanding in your eyes. “I care about you too,” you said softly, though doubt lingered in her tone.
As you turned to leave, Logan felt a glimmer of hope that they had taken a small step forward. But just as quickly, it faded when you absentmindedly kissed his cheek.
“I’m sorry,” you said, pulling away as if burned. “I didn’t mean to—”
“It’s okay,” he reassured you, though his heart sank at the distance that still lay between them. “You don’t have to apologize.”
But you shook your head, your expression filled with anguish. “No, it’s not okay. I shouldn’t have done that. I can’t keep doing this.”
“Doing what?” he pressed, confusion lacing his words.
“Trying to act like you’re someone you’re not,” you said, your voice rising again. “I’m sorry, Logan. I need to go.”
And with that, you were gone again, the door clicking shut behind you, leaving Logan standing alone in the kitchen, the echo of your footsteps lingering in the silence.
—-----------------------------------------------------
It was late, the hour when the world outside felt most distant, and in that stillness, you crept into the living room. The soft click of the door was nearly soundless, a careful intrusion into the quiet space. You paused for a moment, your heart racing as you took in the sight of him resting on the couch, his face softened in sleep, the lines of worry momentarily smoothed away.
Your breath caught in your throat, and you felt a pang of longing that twisted your insides. He looked so peaceful, so much like the Logan you remembered—the one who had held you tight during the darkest moments, who had whispered promises of safety and love in the shadows of your world.
You hesitated, fighting against the urge to turn away, to retreat into the safety of your solitude. But something drew you closer, a magnetic pull that you couldn’t resist. You lowered yourself to the floor beside the couch, tucking your legs beneath yourself as you settled into the familiar space. It felt almost like a ritual, a silent communion with the man you had lost and the man who was now before you.
Tentatively, you reached out, your fingers brushing against his cheek. The contact sent a jolt of electricity coursing through you, and you closed your eyes for a brief moment, savoring the warmth of his skin beneath your touch. It was a simple gesture, but it felt monumental—a connection that transcended the chasm of their reality.
“Logan,” you whispered, your voice barely audible. “I miss you.”
You traced the contours of his face, your fingers brushing over the rugged lines, the bump of his nose that felt so familiar yet foreign. “I wish you were here,” you murmured, your heart aching with every word. “Things were so much easier when you were here. You made everything better.”
As you spoke, memories flooded back—laughter shared under the stars, quiet moments stolen amidst chaos. You recalled how he had held you close, how his presence had been a balm for your troubled soul. The tears you had fought to hold back began to spill over, trailing down your cheeks as you continued to whisper to him, unaware of the ears that listened.
“Do you remember that night?” you asked, your voice trembling. “The one we spent at the old cabin? Just you and me, the fire crackling, the world falling away?” A soft smile broke through your tears. “You told me you loved me for the first time. I never understood how much I needed that until you were gone.”
Your fingers lingered on his lips, tracing the outline as if committing every detail to memory. “I wish you could come back to me,” you whispered. “I wish you could tell me everything would be okay. That we could go back to the way things were.”
You continued to speak, your words pouring out like a dam breaking. “I don’t know how to move on without you. It feels like I’m wandering through a fog, and I can’t find my way back. I keep seeing your face everywhere, and it hurts too much.”
Your voice cracked, and the sobs you had held at bay began to spill forth, raw and unfiltered. “I thought I could just push through it, but every time I see him…” you choked out, “I feel like I’m drowning all over again.”
“I don’t know how to face you,” you continued, her voice a whisper now. “You look so much like him, and it’s almost cruel. I keep hoping that somehow, you’ll turn into the man I loved, but you never do. You’re just… you.”
Eventually, you sat back, your hands falling to your lap as you took a shaky breath. “I just wish you could hear me,” you said softly, your voice cracking. “I wish you could know how much I still love you.”
With that, you stood up, the weight of your emotions visibly heavy on her shoulders. You looked at him one more time, before walking back to your room.
Logan lay there, his heart pounding in his chest, caught in a whirlwind of emotions. He had been awake the entire time, drawn from the depths of sleep by the sound of your voice, the weight of your touch grounding him in a reality he had longed for since he had arrived in this universe. He had wanted to reach out, to pull you into his arms, but he remained still, terrified of shattering the fragile moment.
He blew out a breath he hadn’t realized he’d been holding. How would he face you tomorrow after that?
God help him.

RP Request!
Hola! My name is Cherri and I’m looking for a partner for an X-Men rp! Some bits about me, I’m 20+, nonbinary (they/them), and neurodivergent with a very strong fixation on X-Men right now (but specifically Scott Summers, it started with him). Currently I’m trying to finish the og animated series, then move onto X-Men 97’, maybe watch the FOX X-Men movies, then maybe move onto comics if I can! But I am so into it, that I want to start an rp now and binge watch any media needed (since I’m open to working with movie lore or any TV shows like Evolution, Wolverine and the X-Men, etc). Though maybe taking some of the characterizations from those medias and combining parts we both like to make the roleplay (and of course change things later if needed)!
As you can see, I talk a lot, and like talking on Discord! Just because the server functions are super easy to use and keep track of chats. I also talk a ton OOC when I’m super excited, even if I’m a bit busy to RP. I can be a bit slow on responding due to mental health stuff and life, but I generally at max take a week or two to respond and at minimum every 2-3 days, but it can depend. Of course if it’s any longer I will give the proper heads up and tend to let someone know when I’m working on the response and give a timeline. So if you’re kinda busy and want to rp, I’m the guy for you! I don’t really know how to use Tupperware super well, so that’s not needed. And I think that’s all for that section, I hope that we become friends!
As for the rp details I’m looking for someone to play (you guessed it) Scott against my oc, and I’m good with doubling up for oc x canon or even canon x canon! I may struggle at first and be a bit self-conscious about characterization, but I’ve been told I’m not entirely bad and will do my best to work with any personal thoughts that you have! I’m open to playing anyone from the series, but feel like I’d do best with someone like Rogue, Jubilee, maybe Logan, and Kurt (except for writing out his little German boy accent, but we can discuss that); but again! I can do basically whoever with some time, feedback, and patience! Mlm, wlw, mf, or any combo of ships is totally fine as I have experience playing masc and fem characters! For the plot I have a loose idea for what I want for my pairing, backstory, the powers of my oc (but I’d like to discuss some details to not make them too op); but I’m open to really planning things out! I was looking for something very character driven, maybe focused a bit on the political drama of things (my special interest since I was twelve is leftist politics so obviously I want to work it into everything), but I’m open to AU’s or more casual settings, just nothing that’s completely slice of life focused. I need a bit of drama. Oh, and also important, I’d prefer someone to write a few paragraphs, as I can’t stand one line replies or *asterisks* for actions, looking for a more third person semi-lit novella deal.
Okay, I feel like I’ve written a TON, like way too much! If you read it all, thank you! If you had any concerns about me not writing enough, I hope that fear was quelled! And if you’re interested either like or reach out to me so we can discuss on tumblr the initial deets and switch to discord if we’re both interested!

Preview of Playlists
So, apparently y'all care about my thoughts and opinions for some reason.
This is a lil preview of the kind of songs that I think would fit the Sides, and maybe some other characters too.
I spent all day analyzing the Sides' official playlists to make sure this specific list was as in-character as I could get it. A lot of the songs moving forward may be very ooc. Plus, it was also the first time hearing the Sides' playlists, so that was fun.
For future reference, all of the songs were thought of/picked BEFORE I ever listened to the playlists. So, prepare for inaccuracy.
These ones are explained, but the bigger lists/playlists may not be. I want to give more in-depth analyses of these, but I don't have room. Always feel free to ask about the songs I choose!
Trigger/Content Warning: Putting Others First/SvS Redux spoilers, themes of self-doubt & self-deprecation, discussions of--> religious themes, morals & morality & moral-related mindsets, worthlessness & self-doubt (suicidal undertones?), Hero/Saviour Complex & perfectionism

[Masterlist]
Logan
> Infinitesimal by Mother Mother
I've mentioned this one before in another post (this post). It has a big theme of space and stars and mentions the Big Bang. It fits the general vibe of Logan's official playlist, with all the facts included in his songs. So, as I've said before, it includes facts and scientific things in the lyrics. Its main theme revolves around the word and meaning of "infinitesimal", which is a neat lil reference to that one mistake Logan made in canon. It also has a part of the song where it speaks rather than sings, which is when it talks more about the facts. The lyrics, "Strangely, I've been feeling like a big bang / 'Cause I've been making mountains out of concaves" has a lil saying or a reference to a saying. Making "mountains out of concaves" is essentially making something out to be bigger than it really is. When something feels or seems like it's a bigger deal than it really is (cognitive distortions, anyone?). Also, the lyrics, "Like my soul, just like my soul / You think it's so infinitesimal" are important. It makes me think how Logan may feel like his input or problems or feelings are not very important compared to others. As far as I can see in the main canon storyline, he keeps getting disregarded. If it's not logic and facts, he seems to be made fun of as if it's not a big deal.
Patton
> Gilded Lily by Cults
It was a little easy picking this one, tbh. It mentions a "slow heart", and doesn't that just scream Patton? I know it's more on the angstier side of things, but it fits (in my opinion). Especially with all the drama and self-doubt that popped up in POF/SvS Redux. The lyrics, "But with my double vision, how was I supposed to see the way?" is quite literally and basically what happened with Patton as Morality. He usually has a black-and-white mindset, but then got hit with the reality that life isn't always like that. Life, and humanity, is very grey. There's a lot of in-betweens. Also, the lyrics, "Always the fool with the slowest heart" is just- yeah. Yep, that's Patton. He seems to be confused a lot in canon and is slow to certain realizations. It can take him a bit to catch up to the others in some regards. Then, of course, the lyrics, "Haven't I given enough?" has multiple meanings and uses for Patton specifically. He tries so hard to do the right thing, have the "right" morals, and yet it never seems to be enough in the grand scheme of things. He gives a lot of love, but sometimes he can be overbearing and is learning a middle ground for that. Lastly, the lyrics, "Now that it's been long enough to talk about it" makes me think of upcoming episodes, aka: the season finale. Perhaps the previous episode(s) will be addressed, or at least affect, the future videos? (Another theory for another time; I have a lot of theories, sorry).
Roman
> Average by Sushi Soucy
This song has been on my mind, and it seemed to fit Roman. I'm not very good with getting songs right for Roman, but I think this is the most accurate that I've picked. The themes of self-doubt, the topic of acting, feeling like you're worthless because you can't be perfect/the best? Yeah, definitely Roman. He is a perfectionist, and debatably has a Hero/Saviour Complex going on. As Thomas' Ego, he is very fragile. Comments are taken to heart, no matter how harmless they were intended to be. He's very insecure. The lyrics, "If you never show off, your only critic is yourself" seems to describe Roman pretty well. He is a critic of himself: he must be perfect, a classic Disney hero, a protective prince of the innocent. He critiques himself harshly, as addressed in an earlier episode (Am I Original?). He still does throughout the series, though it's more in the background. He believes himself a failure if he cannot be the best at what he is and what he does. Also, the lyrics, "You got the skills of an idiot who got too much praise" reminds me of Roman. Being praised for his results and habits, especially with his perfectionist mindset, really f*cked with him. He isn't prepared, mentally nor emotionally, to take rejection or be less-than in any way. If his work isn't the absolute greatest, then it's sh*t. That's his mindset. He may think he's worthless if he cannot produce excellence every time. If he's worthless, then... what's the point? What's the point of him creating if it's not received well? He also seems to be clinging to every single praise, no matter how little it is.
Virgil
> Wolf in Sheep's Clothing (feat. Willaim Beckett) by Set it Off
It took me a while because a lot of the songs I have for Virgil are more about him and Janus specifically, rather than just him. But, here we are! I choose a song by Set It Off because a good amount of their songs remind me of Virgil, and I think he'd like the band in general. This specific song I picked because it makes me think of how Virgil may view/may feel about Janus and Remus, and all their recent appearances/involvement. It's clear in canon that whatever happened for Virgil to leave the dark Sides, it was mainly between Virgil and Janus. He feels betrayed and hurt. Remus- well, he's just unsettled by him. Not much drama goes on between those two. The lyrics, "Beware, beware, be skeptical / Of their smiles, their smiles of plated gold / Deceit so natural" are important. It literally says "deceit", so it fits with Virgil's and Janus' enemy-thing going on. He's warned the others and c!Thomas against lying before. Remember the episode, A New Year of Lying to Myself... In Song!, where they sing a song about lying? How Virgil was so insistent that c!Thomas be truthful with himself, rather than make promises he knew he'd break? Yeah, Virgil has been very opposed to deception from the beginning (probably because of his relationship with Janus). ALSO: this song is literally about a "wolf in sheep's clothing", or someone who is disguising themself as more innocent and "good" than they really are. Again, this is how Virgil views Janus. It may not be the truth of the situation, cause it's Virgil's opinions and thoughts. I have a lot more to say, but this is already really long. Ask about it if you want me to explain more.
Janus
> Until It Doesn't Hurt by Mother Mother
Listen, okay. Knowing Janus' official playlist and the amount of jazz/jazz-adjacent songs that were there, this one fit that jazzy trend. Plus, with all the recent angst of POF/SvS Redux, it makes me think of Janus. I'd imagine he'd just let things be because he doesn't want to make it worse. Janus is petty, yes. BUT, he's also trying to be accepted and stay accepted, so I doubt he wants to f*ck things up more than they already are. This song also gives into Janus' more petty and vengeful side. The lyrics, "I wanna tear all my bridges down" reminds me of how petty and selfish Janus can be. He wants to tear down all the bridges that don't serve him. All those connections that aren't good or self-serving in a way. All those "alliances" that seem to be turning into the opposites, the connections with people who've turned into rivals or even enemies. All in the name of self-preservation and self-care. He doesn't want to keep connections that could hurt him. Also, the lyrics, "I wanna swallow all the light" are important for Janus, in my opinion. It reminds me of pre-SvS/pre-POF Janus, specifically him in Can Lying Be Good? when he was first introduced. Back when everyone (including us Fanders) believed him to be nothing but a villainous antagonist, put in place to "swallow all the light". To be the darkness that balanced out the light Sides. Makes me think of how Roman hurt Janus in POF/SvS Redux, and how Janus could be tempted to hurt the others back because he is petty. More to say on these specific lyrics, but I'm running out of room. Lastly, the lyrics, "If I can't make it right / Then I won't make it worse" are something to discuss. Janus knows he messed up with the famous line, "Roman, thank God you don't have a mustache. Otherwise, between you and Remus- well, I wouldn't know who the evil twin is." Cause that was a very low blow. They BOTH attacked each other's insecurities, but I wonder if that specific line also affected Remus, as well? (A theory for another time). Anyway, I like to think Janus knows he can't make it better right now, so he refuses to make it worse by trying to do anything.
Remus
> Can't Go to Hell by Sin Shake Sin
Not going to lie, it took me very long to pick just one for Remus. I apparently had a lot that seemed to fit him perfectly and canonically, and that seemed to work for his official playlist. The reason I picked this one specifically is because of the religious themes and the cover art is a familiar sight for those of us who saw that one easter egg in Moving On (Part 2?). Plus, it fits Remus' general vibe of being a chaotic and reckless gremlin. The lyrics, "Deafened by the naive while we silence the wise" is just yus. Kind of a nod to Remus being repressed/ignored, and sharing that in common with Logan (think back to that one scene in WTIT, the orange outburst Logan had). Also, the lyrics, "This romance with ignorance has left us behind" speaks volumes to c!Thomas being ignorant to some things about himself. For example, before he confronted Remus and his existence, or even before he confronted his capacity for deception and learned about Janus. Ignorance, or Denial (also Janus? That's a theory for another time), has left c!Thomas in the dark for a lot of things. It "left him behind" in regards to knowing himself, and it only seemed to created problems for him. Also, Remus seems to reference Hell a lot, so the point of "we're already in Hell" makes me think of him.

something that i've never been able to figure out is why i enjoy the build up to rory's relationships but can never get fully invested in them once they actually happen. with dean, it was really cute and wholesome for almost the entire first season, but then he tells her he loves her and lashes out when she doesn't say it back. at this point, he had officially become the typical "nice guy" who's not actually a nice guy at all once he doesn't get what he feels entitled to. ew. immediately gave me the ick. and it just got worse from there. i never shipped them again after that moment.
then in comes jess! and i was like omg yay! dean is awful and jess is so cute. i was so excited about it. even though i enjoyed early dean/rory, imo she had far more chemistry with jess and the build up was immaculate. i honestly didn't even mind that she cheated lmao because it actually made sense in the story and they were just young kids making mistakes. plus, it was a very good kiss soooo yeah. i was completely on board, even through the drama that followed, right up until they got together. it was so good initially. and then almost immediately, i lost all interest in their relationship because jess was just such an asshole a lot of the time! he was cringy. he was annoying. he treated her awfully. i couldn't enjoy them at all anymore. and then the relationship deteriorated, progressively getting worse and worse.
a bit later and in comes logan and i was even more excited for him! i was like yes this must be what i have been waiting for! it's the third romance trope. let's fucking go. and the build up was even better than jess/rory imo!! they made me go insaneeee before they got together. like. fuck. i was so so soooo invested. but their first kiss was somehow so meh to me. a lot of the time, i could still enjoy them together and i thought they had a lot of cute moments, but the magic that i felt before they got together was just kind of gone. sometimes i could still feel it and other times i just didn't. so, between that and some really bad writing decisions/ooc behavior (such as their breakup in s6 and all the drama that lead up to it and came after it), i could never fully ship them either.
i prefer rory/logan over the others because overall they had the healthiest relationship, but there's just something missing with every single one of these boys with they way they were written. it just doesn't feel like any of them are meant for rory. it feels like there's someone else out there for her that she hasn't met yet. am i the only one that feels this way? i feel like i am because all i see is team jess and team logan and i'm just team rory over here ig.
i will say though. i think there was a chance for me to fully get on board with jess or logan in the revival had things been different. both have second chance romance potential, but they didn't go there with jess/rory because they decided to give rory/logan yet another unsatisfying storyline. the writers clearly had a bias for jess, so i don't know why they didn't have a romantic storyline in the revival. it's just kind of weird. ideally though, i wished they'd just gone about rory/logan in a different way. if they'd had logan working at luke's inbetween jobs and rory comes home to visit and doesn't know and she comes into the diner expecting luke and sees logan waiting on tables?? and then there's all this build up to them rekindling things??? maybe they kiss and then after rory is so flustered when she sees him again in the diner and she runs into something and almost falls over, just like lorelai did because of luke once upon a time?? it would have been so cute! rory/logan have the chemistry. they just needed a better storyline!

Not to start drama but there's rumors that the rotten melon episode was made to "dissuade" louigan shipping. Plus the LouisexR*dy kiss episode came afterwards in the same season. It's the worst BB season and I'm still like wtf?
Pretty sure I’ve blocked about every anti and their mother, so you came to the right place for drama free asks!
I meeeeaaan it could come from Loren’s mouth that that was the intention of the episode, and it won’t stop me from doing my adult louigan thing lol 🤷‍♀️ Actually, I do have a bit of analysis on the melon episode if you’re interested! Basically, the episode is about Gene and Louise’s relationship, and the creators were trying to tell a specific story, using Logan to fill a role that he kiiiinda fits in (even though everyone feels a little OOC). On the note of shipping, I’m not super positive they would have given us an episode like Better Off Sled if they intended to dissuade the ship entirely. A moment of kindness between enemies does not make for the best “you stop that right now” material, you know?
Ahhh but worst BB season? When season 11 exists with that fender bender episode 😖 yeesh. But I get where you’re coming from. The important part is to take what you like and leave the rest. I wish nothing but the best to Löuwheeze shippers who enjoy the kiss. Meanwhile, I’m free to ignore it ever happened lol (but also, hey, bright side? who ends up with their first kiss?). Canon’s like a fun suggestion! Except the canon I care about. That’s mandatory learning material 😉😘
Thank you for messaging!

alright im just dumping thoughts about sanders sides because i miss how it was and i have thoughts on everything going around right now, specifically the points about the sides feeling ooc in newer episodes
briefly ignoring any thoughts about the concept of the writer's room, i think the main issue is that they have quite a bit of depth as characters, and im not joking
is character development and expanding on the depth of characters good in fiction? yeah, it makes stories more compelling and interesting from an emotional standpoint
but there's an issue when it comes to the sides becoming deeper characters- the core concept of the show never had room for them to be more complex than personifications of certain aspects of c!thomas.
all early conflict between the sides stems from their differences in opinion about how to handle certain things rather than interpersonal drama. and to an extent, that still rings true, mostly for logan's interactions with the other sides. he butts heads with them because he's the logical one and they arent, so they often disagree. but even there, logan's conflicts have also been warped by his own feelings, and while the relationships between the sides would make for good, interesting drama in a normal tv show, sanders sides isn't a normal show. or at least, it wasn't from the start.
but the newer conflicts, like between virgil and remus and janus, or between roman and janus, are based just in personal conflict, which doeent make it feel like an actual internal conflict of c!thomas like the old conflicts did but rather just drama in a friend group
it feels like thomas and co are trying to move away from the original concept of 'man talks himself through his issues using personifications of deeper concepts of his personality and mind' to more of a normal drama with the fact that the sides are sides and not people being a background fact. this means that the current episodes feel completely different from a structural level, and also is probably part of the reason why episodes are so long now. (though part of that is also the change in topics the sides argue over now compared to earlier episodes.)
and there's nothing bad about wanting to make a drama web series, people have done it before and i genuinely think thomas and co could make a good one, but building it on top of a series with a foundation not meant for it creates issues. old fans become frustrated with how different the series is, and any new fans are probably quickly put off by the lack of regular updates (thats just a guess, of course, but it's what i'd imagine i'd do if i found sanders sides as it is now). if i want to see intense personal drama between the sides, i'd rather find it in fandom spaces than in canon

His newfound appreciation for Patton didn’t change the fact that the idea of losing his first kiss to a stage performance sent shivers down his spine.
It’s not like he didn’t like Patton! That wasn’t it at all! Patton has been sailing in the high numbers ever since they had hung out at his home, Virgil had even made a group chat for the three of them where they talked regularly. It’s just that Patton was Patton. And Patton was certainly not his type. They had tried to practice helpless, but Janus kept telling them they were missing something. Remus said Logan sounded like a “sexless moron”, and though Patton disagreed and blushed furiously, Logan knew he was right. He had never had a boyfriend, let alone a crush on a boy. He knew he was gay because he found certain boys attractive, but he had never liked a guy like that. Yet.
He figured it would happen at some point, but until that point...he would have to be clueless. He ended up spending a lot of time with Remus as rehearsal continued. Though Patton wasn’t fond of him, he was Roman Repellent ninety percent of the time. Pretending that was all he wanted from Remus was easy. The other option was acknowledging how much he genuinely liked Remus. The whole time he’d known him, he’d told himself to steer clear of him. He’d never managed to do it, but he still told himself to. Something about Remus was interesting. He was a sort of enigmatic person who you could never figure out beyond the persona they portrayed. Logan was nothing if not inquisitive.
Sitting in the tech booth with Virgil and Remus, watching the Schuyler Sisters vocal practice, he couldn’t really be mad when Remus’ legs fell into his lap. They were in such close proximity, and Remus always seemed to have a need to touch people. Remus is talking about something mindless, and Logan is listening intently.
“If they have the gun, why wouldn’t they just shoot him?” Logan asks.
“That’s what I said! It’s like they don’t care about efficiency! You don’t have to torture every character!”
“Honestly, I cannot believe they would disregard the gun like that. Why introduce it in the first place?”
Virgil looks at Logan inquisitively, “Logan, do you even watch that show?”
“No,” Logan muttered, “Remus just tells me about it a lot.”
“I have no idea how you’re able to follow his train of thought, I have a hard time listening to him about regular stuff, let alone his favourite things.” Virgil says, and Logan knows he doesn’t mean it in a bad or mean way. Anxiety can make a person have a hard time listening, Logan just thinks it’s easy to listen to Remus.
He’s called back to the stage, so he can practice Helpless with Patton again. Remus moves his legs and pulls Logan up to his feet. They are standing nearly chest to chest for a few seconds, and Logan notices each time they’re this close how tall Remus is. He’s a little over a head taller than he is, and it's jarring to him. Remus pulls him down the tech booth stairs by the hand, practically dragging him like a rag doll. Virgil should feel lucky that Logan didn’t catch his snicker at Logan’s expense. Once Remus is beside his brother in the audience, they begin.
Patton’s performance is adorable, as usual. For Remus’ tastes it’s a little fluffy, but that’s the song for you. Much too full of innocence, he was about ready to beg for his chance to sing as Maria. He knew he had to wait his turn. Watching Logan’s performance was downright painful. His romantic face was a simple, deadpan thing, and he had flirted with enough boys to know you should never look that bland. Bland of emotion, not bland in general. No, absolutely not. Remus was well aware that Logan was hot, just in the way that cool anime boys are hot. All cold and domineering, but secretly an absolute angel. Remus planned on changing that angelic nature, but he had to give it time. Logan’s rap was abysmal in terms of emotion, and by the time it was over even Patton was cringing a little.
Roman nudged Remus, smirking as he whispered, “I think he’s hopeless.”
“I think he could use a good teacher,” Remus smiled at Roman’s wide eyed reaction.
“You can’t possibly mean you can you?”
“Oh, I absolutely mean me.”
Bounding up the stage stairs, Remus forced himself between Logan and Patton who were discussing the performance. Grabbing Logan by the hands excitedly, Remus beamed at him. Logan knew he had a very stupid plan just from the way he smiled.
“Logie-bear, let me be your personal coach on how to not be an absolutely sexless moron!”
The entire theatre went quiet.
“Remus, shouldn’t I be the one to help Logan?” Patton asked softly, his smile was nervous and Logan didn’t know why, “I am playing Eliza, aren’t I?”
“Yeah, well, you aren’t exactly dripping in hoes, are you Patton?”
“Wha-That’s not very nice! No, I am not dripping in….h-o-es, but that doesn’t mean you should help him!”
“I wouldn’t mind the help,” Logan chimes in, “I really didn’t want to have to ask Janus or Roman. Remus seems like the best option. He can give me pointers.”
Patton could argue that Janus and Roman were much better at romance than Remus could ever be, but if Logan really thought Remus was the best option he couldn’t say no.
When they met up at lunch, the room they had found was empty aside from the three of them. This would prove to be a bit of a mistake. When Logan made a mistake and it was called out by Remus with a quip or a joke about his romance abilities, Patton seemed to get a little huffy. Logan enjoyed his encouragement from Patton, but the comments from Remus always made him force away a smile. He was brutally honest, and Logan liked that. He wanted to be told when he looked like a complete doofus. Patton seemed to not agree, and interjected a lot on Logan’s behalf. After the first few runs, Remus seemed to be getting agitated. All it took was one more comment from Patton before Remus dragged him out by the wrist and shut the door behind them. Logan couldn’t help but wonder why.
“Will you stop that?” Remus hissed at Patton, they were around the corner but he was trying to be quiet in case Logan was eavesdropping.
“Stop what? Trying to support Logan? You’re just being mean to him!” Patton whispered back, obviously thinking the same.
Rolling his eyes, Remus let out a big huff of amusement, “You’re really dumb, aren’t you Padre? Look at him! He might be hot, but his whole face is like a dead fish when he’s trying to be romantic!”
“Wait, what?”
“What?”
Patton blinked slowly, staring at Remus like he had two heads.
“Patton, if I’ve suddenly grown a dick out of my forehead that’s stood at full mast and oozing baby goo, I’d love to hear about it.”
That made Patton recoil, but he raised his voice above an angry whisper to say, “You think he’s hot?”
“I mean...duh? You’re telling me you haven’t noticed?”
“No! No-I’ve-I’ve noticed! I just-” Patton stops, and Remus is confused now.
With a nervous laugh, Patton mutters, “It’s fine, it’s not like you’re actually trying to...Maria him. Heh.”
“Oh no, I am. I’ve been flirting with him this whole time, I think he’s just fucking dense.”
With that Remus watches Patton go pale, and force himself back into their practice room. Remus doesn’t follow. He’s pushed enough. If Patton decides to tell Logan though, Remus may have to kill him. He trudges over to the boys dressing room and throws the door open dramatically.
“What’s wrong?” Roman asks with a smirk, “Love confession gone wrong?”
“Pft. More like a bitchy third wheel.”
Remus lays on the ground, gently bumping his head into Roman’s knee and keeping it there. Roman moves a hand to pat his brother's head, but ends up carding a hand through his hair.
“Do you wanna pout about it or plan some thematically appropriate revenge?”
Remus lights up, craning his head up to stare at his brother, “I thought you hated Logan!”
“Oh, I do. That’s why I think he should date you.”
They both laugh, and then they get to work.
After flashing puppy dog eyes to Janus, they manage to convince him to help set up their exclusive after hours group practice. Somehow they rope in Remy, Emile, Logan, and Virgil. They know Emile, Logan, and Virgil will bring Patton. They also know that this is the perfect time for both their agendas. If Roman perpetuates drama, maybe Logan will get stressed and leave. If Remus gets to act out seducing, and-or marrying, Logan, then maybe he’ll have a chance at getting his number. He’ll have to try and get Logan to practice romance with him, because if he waits until he’s Maria he may have lost Logan to the unthinkable. Patton.
The teenagers all meet at a public park picnic table at around six. Patton, Virgil, Remy, and Emile sit on a blanket Patton brought from his car. Roman, Janus, Remus, and Logan sit at the picnic table, though none of them are sitting correctly. Roman takes the lead, standing on the table and addressing the group.
“My stupid brother and I have brought you all here today for an extra special practice session! We, the leads, have much work to do!”
Remus nods excitedly in agreement, “I personally think our first order of business should be to help Nerdy McSpecks to not look like getting it on is his worst fear!”
Most people laugh at this, and Logan even smirks a little.
“I’m more than willing to work on that first! It sounds like fun!” Patton chimes in, getting a nod of agreement from Virgil who is splayed out on the grass with his hood pulled over his face.
“So that Logan can be most equipped, everyone who wants to can try and be Eliza!” Remus calls out loudly, and Remy chokes back laughter.
“That’s totally not just for Remus.” Janus mutters, but Logan catches it.
He’s confused now. If Remus wanted to help him practice he should have just asked? He’s certain that a guy like Remus would ask, but he disappeared at lunch. Logan wonders whether he was embarrassed to ask, but that couldn’t be it. Remus was never embarrassed. Had Patton said something to him in the hall? No, no, he wouldn’t have! Logan is zapped into his own mind, not realizing everyone is looking at him for a response until Patton speaks up.
“Well, he doesn’t have to practice with Remus is he doesn’t want to,”
He shakes his head, “That’s not it. I was only wondering why Remus hadn’t asked before. It’s out of character for him.”
Remus cackles like a witch and grips his stomach like that was the funniest thing he’s ever heard, “Worried about me, Logie-bear?”
“Should I be? If so, then yes.”
The whole group was silent until Remus laughed again, giving Logan a playful kick.
“Get on with your marriage to Patton, loverboy!”
The practice with Patton went about as well as it did in the theatre. Virgil had a clear view now, and was trying desperately not to break into a fit of laughter at Logan’s expense. It really was funny, the lack of emotion in his face seemed like it was purposeful rather than a genuine lack of knowledge. When they were finished, Remus popped up, taking Patton’s place in front of Logan.
“First step to flirtation!” Remus begins loudly, most of the group deciding to tune them out while he instructed, “Lose your self-respect!”
“...Absolutely not.”
“Logan, boobear, you need to lose something to get the emotional stick out of your ass!”
Logan didn’t respond, looking away from Remus. That...that one did hurt. Even if he knew he wasn’t the most emotional person, it wasn’t exactly nice to hear.
Of course, Remus noticed, “Hey-Uh-I didn’t mean it like that! Maybe...Maybe…”
A light bulb goes off in his head and he grabs Logan’s hands, he beams as he drags Logan further out into the grass.
“Remus, what are you-”
He doesn’t get to finish, Remus places a hand on Logan’s hip and holds the other tightly.
There’s nothing he can do but follow his lead, getting another very close look at Remus as he places his hand tentatively on Remus’ shoulder. Today his makeup is purple, and his eyes look a lot less wild. His shirt has the name of a band Logan’s never heard of on the front, and his leather jacket is covered in patches and spikes. There’s no mistaking the distinct scent of Roman’s rose perfume, surely he was doused in it after practice to make up for taking a bite out of his deodorant instead of putting it on. Usually it smells awful and makes Logan want to gag, but something about a scent so sweet on a person so wild almost makes Logan lose his grip. Dancing with him is mindless, he’s being led like they’ve danced together a thousand times. When Remus raises his arm and spins Logan out, his demeanor breaks. He smiles softly, not because of the dancing, but because Remus is looking at him with the widest grin he’s ever seen. His teeth are so sharp, and on his face it looks so right.
He feels breathless when Remus spins him back in.
“You look happy,” He chimes into his ear, “Could it be that I’m already a talented seductress?”
Logan presses his head back into Remus’ chest and really laughs for the first time in a long time.
“Eliza,” Logan starts slowly, moving back to dancing position, “I don’t have a dollar to my name.”
Remus is confused for a moment, then has to fight back his blush.
“An acre of land, a troupe to command, a dollop of fame,” Logan has no idea the group is staring at the pair.
He’s wrapped up in dancing, a sweet smile on his face, “All I have’s my honor, a tolerance for pain, a couple of college credits and-”
“Your top notch brain,” Remus spins Logan again, and boops his nose before he returns a hand to his hip.
He can’t help but laugh again, “Insane, your family brings out a different side of me, Peggy confides in me. Angelica tried to take a bite of me-”
Remus feigns an offended gasp at this which makes Logan laugh a third time, “No stress, my love for you is never in doubt,”
Now Remus can’t stop the blush on his cheeks, with the combination of the lyrics and Logan’s laughter there’s no way he wouldn’t.
“We’ll get a little place in Harlem and we’ll figure it out,”
The dancing has led them into a more secluded area now, and though the others are peering through trees to try and see the pair but they can only see their legs.
“I’ve been living without a family since I was a child,” They stop dancing and stand and sway together.
Logan and Remus stand chest to chest, “My father left, my mother died, I grew up buck wild.”
“That’s more of a me thing-”
Logan rolls his eyes and plays him off, “But I’ll never forget my mother’s face, that was real.”
He raises a hand and cups Remus’ cheek like he does in practice with Patton, and Remus nuzzles into his palm. Patton does that too, but somehow this feels more...intimate. It must be the privacy.
“As long as I’m alive, Eliza, I swear to god, you’ll never feel so…”
Remus clears his throat then moves his head out of Logan’s hand, but doesn’t step away.
“If you’re that good with me, why not in practice?”
Logan is compelled to tell the truth, “Don’t laugh.”
“Mmm, No promises.” He’s clearly teasing, Logan knows him well enough to know he means he won’t.
“I have to kiss Patton at the end of the song. I think it freaks me out. I-I’ve never-”
Remus smirks, he squeezes Logan’s hip a little, “You know you have to kiss me too, right?”
“Somehow, that freaks me out less.” He admits, because he’s on a particularly honest streak. He doesn’t know why the idea of kissing Remus doesn’t perturb him. He watched him bite his own deodorant stick today. Bite, chew, and swallow.
“You know that’s weird as shit, right? Patton looks like the definition of a good kid, and is basically the sweetest person ever. You’d rather lock lips with the resident fucktard?”
“I don’t think of you like that.”
Remus has to take a step back and cover his face with the sleeve of his jacket.
“Logan,” Remus starts in the quietest voice he can manage, “You know you don’t have to kiss either of us, right?”
Logan makes an agreeable noise and nods, so Remus takes his arm back off his face.
“If it’s somehow less weird for me to be your first kiss, then you know I’d kiss you right?”
Whipping his head around and looking slightly shocked, Logan whispers, “Right here?”
“Take me for a coward, Logie-bear?” He teases, stepping back into Logan’s personal space.
Logan smiles wide, something he’s going to have to grow accustomed to Remus drawing out of him, “Only on occasion.”
Which is somehow the perfect answer for Remus, who laughs beautifully and takes Logan’s chin in his hand. The kiss is short but more delicate than anything Logan had ever witnessed Remus do.
Moments after, Janus yells at them to stop making out, and Remus throws himself through the trees to yell at him.
Logan has to take a moment and take in the fading tingle on his lips, it’s magnetic.
“Logan?” Patton had come looking for him, “You okay?”
“Yes, very. Remus was very helpful.”
Patton smiles at him, “I saw that laughing you did! You looked so happy!”
“I…” Logan is stunned from words, but Patton picks up the slack.
“It’s okay, I get it! Virgil gets embarrassed about laughing like that too!”
He follows Patton back to the group, and they move on. Logan’s mind won’t stop racing, and he can’t stop thinking about Remus. Patton and Remus are critiquing Janus’ performance of Wait For It while Logan sits with Virgil in the grass.
“Do you want his number?”
“Whose?”
“Remus’ number. Do you want it?”
“Why would I-”
“You looked like you wanted it.”
In the end, he gets Remus’ number. He texts him later that night after he finds himself unable to sleep and unsure why.
‘I apologize for the late hour, but this is Logan. I couldn’t sleep, and Virgil gave me your number this evening, so you can see as to why I am texting you now. I wanted to thank you for all your help today. I had fun, which surprises me. I do not say that often.’
Barely a minute later, he gets a response.
‘😍😍😘😘OH MY GOD LOGIE-BEAR YOU ASKED FOR MY NUMBER!? YOU SHOULD HAVE JUST ASKED ME!! 😍😍😘😘🤬🤬🤬Anyyyyyywayyyyyy If you can’t sleep maybe I can entertain you ;)))😳😳😳😳’
‘I would enjoy that. Isn’t there a new episode of that show you like out tonight?’
‘THERE IS!! I can’t believe you remembered 💕💖💕💖💕💖SO I’ll give you my IN DETAIL thoughts on this weeks 🤬🤬HUGE fucking disappointment!🤬🤬’
Logan didn’t end up sleeping until the early hours of the morning.

Until Death Do Us Part
Warnings: Death
Pairing(s): Logicality
Tagged: @freepaperie081, @wilford-woofstache
Summary: Patton is in the hospital due to heart complications, and Logan is refusing to leave his side until he can come home.
Apologies for any medical inaccuracies or OOC writing. Anything incorrect was probably made the way it was for drama or something I just missed.
“Any improvements?”
The nurse looks up from where she was changing the young man’s IV tube to see his boyfriend staring at her with pleading eyes. She sighed mentally.
The man in the hospital bed (Patton, she believed his name was, and a quick glance at his chart confirmed it) had been admitted with severe arrhythmia. Apparently, he’d had a mild case of it for most of his life, but he’d gotten dizzy a few nights ago and collapsed, leading to his current hospitalization.
Though it seemed like a routine case that should be brought back to normal within another day of medications, Patton’s boyfriend had been frantic the entire time. He fired off questions at every person who came through the door and insisted on double checking everything for himself (she loathed to scream at him that while he might had a doctorate in astronomy, as he had mentioned numerous times, he was not a medical doctor and so should leave this to professionals).
The only times he could be shut up was when Patton was awake. He would softly chuckle and tell his partner to “leave them be, Logan, honey, they know what they’re doing”. But at the moment, he was getting some much needed rest, and she was left with Logan looking at her like she held the answers to all the universe’s questions. If she did, she would have told him long ago just to wash her hands of his endless line of questioning.
“As I told you an hour ago, he is slowly improving with the help of the treatments we set up for him. Should he continue to improve, he will be permitted to leave tomorrow and warned to avoid strenuous activity for a month and to return if any complications arise. I have no new information for you, and I swear I will let you know as soon as I do.”
With that, she left, eager to get in a bit of a break before returning to work. Why had she picked up another twelve hour shift again?
Logan turned to Patton, a red flush covering his cheeks from the nurse’s sharp, reprimanding tone. He hadn’t meant to be so troublesome to the people trying to help Patton, but he was worried. A lot more than he should be.
When they had started dating five years ago, Patton had been totally honest with him about everything, from past partners to family life, and especially about his health. Logan had taken it in stride, avoiding stress-inducing situations in favor of nights in on the couch watching Big Hero 6 or the like and holding his hands throughout all the checkups and hospitalizations like these. And even though this had happened in the past, Logan still felt a sense of dread that he hadn’t felt in any of the other occasions.
He took a deep breath trying to stabilize himself.
“Gee, teach, no need to breathe so deep. You’re already full of hot air.”
He turned to see Patton smiling tiredly at him and squeezed his hand in return.
“Says the man who will brag for hours about how his daycare kids are doing.” Despite his teasing words, Logan’s smile stretched across his face.
“They grow so fast!” Patton protested indignantly.
Logan shook his head.
“Logan...” Patton’s voice had taken on a tone of seriousness. “How long has it been since you’ve eaten?”
Logan’s silence said it all.
Patton frowned. “You have to take care yourself, You’re always on me to do it!”
Logan opened his mouth to resist, but Patton interrupted. “I’m not talking to you until you get something to eat.”
“Patton...”
He simply turned away, not even bothering to look at Logan.
Logan groaned, loath to leave Patton, but knowing it was the only way to get him to relent. “Fine. I’ll get a sandwich from the cafeteria. Happy?”
Patton rolled back over to reveal a bright, sunny smile. “Yep!”
Logan simply chuckled, dropping a kiss on Patton’s forehead. “I’ll see you soon, Angel.”
“Later, gator!” Patton laughed.
Logan walked out the door, determined to make this the fastest trip ever.
The universe, however, was determined to thwart him. First of all, the cafeteria was at the other end of the hospital, meaning a lot of time was spent waiting for an elevator and then walking the entire length of the building. It didn’t get any better on arrival, either. As it was apparently dinnertime (Logan hadn’t even noticed the time passing by, his eyes so glued to Patton he didn’t even look at the clock), the line for food stretched out of the cafeteria and into the hallway. Logan simply resigned himself to his fate, getting in line.
He was in the middle of calculating how long it would take to reach the front of the line if each person took on average a minute and a half to order and receive their food (as way too many reached the front and only then decided to check out the options) when that niggling sense of doubt returned in a much stronger force, speeding his heart rate and making his breaths come quickly.
He closed his eyes, remembering what he would tell his friend Virgil when he had one of these episodes. In through the nose, out through the mouth. In for four seconds, hold for seven, out for eight.
Come on Logan, there’s nothing to be scared of. The doctors and nurses here know what they’re doing and will take good care of Patton. They already told you he was fine, that he’s coming home tomorrow.
By the time he reached the front of the line, he’d calmed down enough to order his ham and cheese sandwich and head back to Patton.
When he exited the elevator, he could tell something was wrong. Nurses were flying out of the surrounding rooms, all headed towards the end of the hall yelling out medical instructions he didn’t understand. He and the other visitors were being asked to go back down to the lobby. He complied only after trying to get to Patton’s room and being given a death glare by one of the scarier nurses.
Sitting in the lobby, he tried to distract himself by opening up his phone and looking through some files from work. Even though their new tour for middle schoolers was the most fun project he’d worked on in months, all he could think was about how he’d told Patton about it yesterday and the two of them had pitched ideas at each other for hours, growing more and more excited until a nurse came to tell them to calm down.
You’ll get to do that again. You’ll be able to go talk to Patton soon. They’re just going to call over the friends and family of the person who was in danger and tell them what happened and let everyone else go back upstairs. See, here comes the doctor for that floor now, about to call over-
“Friends and family of Patton Sanders?”
No.
Logan stood on shaking legs, barely aware of walking over to the doctor with the gentle face that warned of bad news to come. Buzzing overtook his ears, blocking out most of what the doctor was saying. He just barely managed to make out “sudden cardiac death...usually no symptoms...was asleep...didn’t hurt...sorry for your loss...”
Logan offered no response, simply turning around and returning to his seat. The doctor gave him a sad smile, then started escorting the rest of the visitors upstairs, leaving Logan alone in the lobby. Alone with his thoughts.
Logan reached into his bag with a trembling hand and pulled out a soft, velvet box. He opened it, eyes shining as he looked at the ring he had taken so long to pick out.
He was supposed to give it to Patton tomorrow, when they got home. Surprise him at the moment he least expected it, when he was preoccupied greeting their golden lab Thomas. He was going to attempt to give a romantic, from-the-heart speech (which had taken him three weeks to write) but most likely would have been interrupted by a squealing Patton saying yes before he could even get a word out.
They were supposed to get married on a summer’s evening, like they’d planned. They would hold the ceremony in an open field, the lights around them dim enough so they could see the stars slowly start to replace the sun in the sky. Patton was going to try and teach Thomas to carry the rings down the aisle, and Logan was going to agree to let him and ask his brother Roman if his kid would be prepared to do it on the side.
They were supposed to be a family. They were going to adopt, something that had taken Logan a long time to even consider. They were going to spoil their kid to death, Logan helping them with homework and Patton cooking their favorite foods for every meal, taking them on trips to Disney World, teaching them all they could about the wonderful world they lived in.
They were supposed to grow old together, retiring to some place on the beach so they could go stargazing every night, Logan pointing out the constellations with a wrinkled hand and Patton smiling at him with the light of the sun in his eyes.
It wasn’t supposed to end like this.
Logan got up and walked out the door, stopping only to throw out the box and, after a thought, the sandwich. He wasn’t really that hungry anymore.

SHAME SHAME SHAME
everybody's people watchin' everybody’s punch clockin’
hey how are ya my name is emmy and i’m here to search for a new rp partner. a bit about me, i’m 22, canadian, work two part time jobs and attend uni full time and i go by she/her pronouns. i reside in the mountain timezone and i am thrilled to hopefully start writing with you.
why should you write with me? because i promise that if i pick up an rp with you i’m gonna put 100 and 10 percent of my effort into our story. i’m looking for a long term gig, someone who i can really weave a plot with, someone who digs the cut of my jib. i want us to be able to sob over our characters together late into the night. i want us to exchange songs, playlists, posts found on the internet, aesthetic boards, whatever reminds us of our characters/our plot.
i will probably spam you with pictures of my character’s playby and i want to see mad pics of yours, too. i want us to go through our character’s struggles together as well as be able to cheer together when our characters get a hold on their situation and come up on top. i want us to inspire one another with our writing. it’s gonna be great. you & me honey.
right now I'm looking for 1-2 new rp partners who are interested in something long-term and fully fleshed out. think 'mains'.
gee, that sounds nice! i’m inclined to agree! but a few things you should know before you go any further: i write anywhere between full lit to lit + to novella style, so expect posts of at least 4 - 6 paragraphs baseline. sometimes i crank out 10. or just 5. depends entirely on what’s going on. i write according to situation, with a great amount of detail spent on what my character is thinking/feeling in response to yours. the replies you get will be fully fleshed out & enthralling. i am a stickler for grammar and spelling, though nobody’s perfect, i do occasionally have my slipups. all lowercase text is strictly kept to ooc communication. i can be sporadic with capitalization ooc but still keep good spelling. i will never pressure you into posting or writing ridiculous amounts just to match my post. i want you to have fun too! if i’ve had a bit too much to drink or am about to hit the hay, i’ll wait to post until i can give my post my full attention. usually i’ll be able to post at least once every week, sometimes multiple times a week depending on work & schoolwork. i'm available for ooc chat almost all the time. i also totally understand life happens and sometimes we just need a breather. ♥ i have bipolar depression, and sometimes my depression kicks my ass, but i’ll let you know when that happens.
oh goodness, what else? i write predominantly m/m pairings but i am open to m/f and f/f as well. i do not write high fantasy settings, sorry doll. my interests mostly align with modern day, slice of life kinda stuff, aside from the fandoms i do have. i don’t have many limits besides excessive gore, scat, mpreg, and writing smut for sake of smut. i love my romance just like anyone else does, but it’s got to have plot. our characters have to have chemistry or else i get bored. i haven’t doubled before but i think i’d be down for it with the right plot. usually i prefer that we play one character each, or we play multiple characters within a plot, but not usually more than one plot at the same time. but!!! i am totally willing to try new things!! just be patient with me as i learn m'kay? i have had several threads going at once with one partner which can be super fun. also most of my characters are pretty kinky but like, i prefer that we talk about kinks and limits one on one as opposed to airing out my character’s laundry. also- i wanna be your friend ooc. let’s chat. i find it’s so much easier to have muse and post if i enjoy the virtual company of the people i’m writing with.
ok but what do you write?
what *don’t* i write? kidding. here’s a bit of fandom for ya. if i’ve got plots listed, they’re the ideas i have, but i’m totally open to yours as well. stars denote how much i’m craving them. i’ll list the canon characters i write after i list the fandom:
mafia 2: vito scaletta  ***plot for mafia 2 a: we explore the dynamics of a relationship between vito and your oc. your oc could be in a position of great risk- think outside of the mafia, possibly a police officer, prostitute. some position where power dynamics could be played with. if the pairing is m/m we also deal with the themes of internalized homophobia and coming to terms with one’s identity.
*bioshock 1, 2 & infinite: brigid tenbenbaum, andrew ryan, frank frontaine & eleanor lamb, sofia lamb & booker dewitt
**marvel cinematic universe: tony stark, steve rogers
***greater marvel universe: logan howlett, carol danvers  ****random plot: we do a crossover and we ship sharon carter/carol danvers. i just. uuugh i have a lot of feelings about them and i have hella muse for these babes. lemme know if you’re down to give this a shot i will love you forever no word of a lie.
but honestly where my heart lies is within oc rp. here are a few plots i have of mine, stars denote how much i’m craving them:
****(m/m) power & politics: my oc is a prestigious state senator, who lives a double life. he is currently in the closet with no intent on leaving it anytime soon. however, a certain someone falls into his life, making him question what he thought he knew for certain. your oc breaks down the walls my oc has put up and changes him into a softer, better man. however, with an upcoming presidential campaign on the horizon for my oc, the limits of the secret relationship will be pushed and pulled beyond what both parties have ‘signed up for.‘
****(m/m) the guardian: your oc is a newcomer to the nhl but is quickly making waves- think connor mcdavid style. he’s young and impressive, but mostly, impressionable. he starts to get battered around by both his teammates and opposing teams. after a few hard hits and fowl play within the game that have cost your oc bench and recovery time, the team’s coach calls in reinforcements to boost the team’s morale and serve as a protector to your oc. my oc is a player who hasn’t got the talent part but has got a huge heart. not to mention… huge hands. good for makin’ fists. good for fightin’.  my oc protects your oc during the games, coming to your oc’s aid, picking fights for your oc and protecting him on the ice. as such, the two players grow attached to one another.. perhaps too attached for the captain to be comfortable with. possibilities for a love triangle and other complications, for sure
***(m/m) too good to be true: our ocs start out in the whl, both as promising wingers. their good chemistry is vital to bringing back their team’s success. however, one of our ocs starts to get too attached to the other, and when an nhl draft separates them, one of our ocs is all too eager to cut contact and try to forget. the two excel in their nhl careers without one another, and end up on nhl teams with a history of deep rivalry. occasionally, the gloves hit the ice, fueled by the tension of unresolved feelings and the pressure of the respective teams to keep up the rivalry. the two are reunited when they are both chosen to play nationally for the same team, and are forced to reconcile what they have both buried so deeply within them.
***(m/m) big money: these two ocs play for rival teams in the nhl. while their teams have a history of tension, our two ocs take it to the next level. audiences are more excited to watch these two fight than they are to watch the game itself. there’s a market in the violence between these two, and a reputation to maintain on both ends. if the public found out that these two were secretly seeing one another, their careers would both be over.
**** (m/m) sugar daddy: my oc is a law student studying in your oc's country in order to get their degree abroad. they're from eastern europe and uh. broke af. they settle into an arrangement with your oc where your oc agrees to ~pay him for his company after they meet while my oc does camming online to make ends meet. we could take it anywhere- your oc could whisk mine off his feet and 'save' him or. be toxic & trashy and make my oc's life hell.
okay and, here are just some general prompts that could be intertwined with the plots above, or could be something we use to springboard into our own rp:
my oc has serious commitment issues. they often go around ‘ghosting’ individuals after 4-5 dates, with little to no explanation of why. your oc falls for mine, and is the first to confront my oc about their shitty habits.
your oc and my oc were best friends, but they lost touch over a stupid fight they had when they were preteens. they can’t believe that they’re seeing one another in a bar, halfway across the world from where they met.
your oc and my oc were flames. my oc proposed to yours, but yours turned them down. they never spoke again… until they were sharing a crammed elevator, with my oc being completely intoxicated, and still confessing their feelings for your oc.
your oc is a huge fan of my oc’s nhl career/political career. your oc wins a contest to meet and have dinner with my oc. while my oc expects a boring night out, my oc is completely surprised by how well they hit it off with your oc.
my oc, your first oc and your second oc all grew up together. your first oc has always been pining for my oc’s attention, and is thrilled when my oc and your first oc finally get together. they develop a long term relationship, but my oc knows it would devastate your first oc if they told them that they have been seeing your second oc for most of the relationship.
i recognize that a lot of these focus on the nhl/the lives of professional hockey players- please don’t be worried about hockey knowledge/nhl jargon/whatever else goes through your head! i’m more interested in sport as a realm for drama than i am for following the rulebook and being 100% accurate to life when it comes to hockey. there’s a lot i don’t know and am still needing to learn, myself! if you know a lot, great!! if you don’t, let’s figure things out together! as for general oc ideas, here’s a list:
professor x student
veteran x civillian
cop x criminal
psychiatrist x patient
** OC superheroes (I have a lot of muse for this one!)
street racing, fast-and-furious-esque setting
rival gangs
** nhl/hockey based (lol obviously)
small town canadiana or americana
fun, fluffy romance based modern settings
darker themes such as addiction, abuse, etc - i find it cathartic sometimes to write about violent material buuuut this has to be really fleshed out between us
historical setting- preferably, the second world war/1940s-1960s
light worldbuilding - new to this but wanting to learn
honestly whatever you can pitch to me that isn’t high fantasy :)
i can expand on and work with any of these ideas, these are just like, topics. whatever i do with you, i promise it’ll be fleshed out, with tons of opportunity for drama.
hell yeah let’s do this pal
if any, and i mean any, of this piqued your fancy, pleaaaase shoot me an email at
i will respond! but please send me something thoughtful! i’d like to hear what part of my ad that you’re interested in/why you chose to contact me. i am most wanting to rp over email and talk over google hangouts but i can be open to skype, too.  i sure look forward to hearing from you!   ♥

Wednesday Roundup
So I complained before that I had a lot of comics to go through. I stand corrected. THIS week I have a monstrous number of comics to go through. Like, you have no idea how much I am patting myself on the back right now for the simple fact that I got this out before midnight.
But was it worth the effort I put into it?
Well, hell, with the money comics cost these days let’s sure hope so!

Marvel’s All-New Wolverine (2015-present) #20 Tom Taylor, Leonard Kirk, Cory Hamsher, Michael Garland, Chris Sotomayor

One of the genuine missed opportunities at Marvel right now while they seem positively dedicated toward digging themselves a deeper and deeper hole, is that Laura and Gabby’s adventures are not being used in the greater X-Men books at large.
Sincerely, my interests in picking up any of the other X-books or the Avengers or anything else is at an absolute Zero because of the fact that Marvel is doing everything it can to use any machination of Wolverine other than the one that is already, inherently awesome.
I think this issue actually helped me realize what makes the relationship between Laura and Gabby work in ways that Logan and Laura’s own relationship in the comics was never allowed to. While we could have had the amazing bonding between them that we got in the recent Logan (2017) movie, comic writers agains and again chose the route of the tried and true combination of Logan with Spunky Teen Girl Sidekick rather than digging into the uncomfortable nature of Logan dealing with a daughter he never knew he had and a kid whose own outlook and demeanor was a harsher reflection of his own.
That’d require, like, actual character growth or something. That thing Marvel was afraid to do with Logan for something like 30 years.
In any case, while I maintain my critiques of that dynamic, what’s interesting to me is that it would seem like Laura and Gabby would all right into that criticism as well -- Laura taking on the more Logan-like role and Gabby being the Kitty/Rogue/Jubilee/Armor/et.all of the dynamic.
But this series, and really this issue, provided the insight for me of what made this work. Laura’s allowed to have that growth Logan never was, sure, but also the fact that Laura seems infinitely more willing to nurture Gabby’s desires to get in the thick of it while reinforcing or even celebrating her brighter demeanor shows that Laura’s learned from Logan’s mishandling of herself. She can’t stop Gabby -- her sister, her clone -- from sharing her traits or history, but she absolutely can allow for Gabby to have someone in her life who understands and comforts those parts of her while encouraging her to find her own way. The sort of personalization that would let Gabby decorate her combat armor with a pink flower, or wear a beret she’s attached to.
And in return, Laura for the first time has someone as fiercely devoted to her and protecting her as Laura has been with the people in her own life. Laura’s past among the X-Men has been dogged with a certain reluctance or plain inability to approach teamwork, but with Gabby she’s overcoming that in strides.
And that’s just part of what makes this series and especially this issue so novel and enjoyable for me. Laura is my Wolverine, in every way I have ever wanted Wolverine to be. And if Marvel used her properly and exposed her more then I might have once been willing to give a larger number of the X-books my patronage. Something I defs won’t do for Laura’s sake and defs won’t do because Secret Empire makes me feel bad enough already for what I am buying.
Marvel’s Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows (2016-present) #7 Gerry Conway, Ryan Stegman, Jesus Aburtov
Tumblr media
I tell you one thing for certain, this storyline was not conceived for X-fans and we’re spiraling further and further down the Emma Frost and Magneto are the Evilest Evils Evar road that Marvel seems so intent to take us down. Which is weird and feels unnecessary, but at the very least we did not have the mutants of the world all die due to Regent like apparently 95% of the superhero population according to the original Renew Your Vows mini.
Don’t worry, Gerry Conway, I for one am entirely supportive of you retconning as much of anything Dan Slott’s touched as you personally deem necessary.
Regardless, Annie continues to be adorable, and I actually am onboard for adorkable over protective dad Logan with Kate, even if her mutant ability feels completely and utterly beyond me at the moment (she shines a bright light? Is it psychic energy? I have no idea what happened or why Annie and herself weren’t effected by it.)
It’s one of the rare times a Jean/Logan comic also didn’t become a Scott hate fest, which as a Cyclops fan genuinely shocked and impressed me because that’s apparently how low my bar for these things has fallen. And it’s honestly refreshing to see everyone back in the 90s costumes that I’m most familiar with them in.
That being said, yeah this is not a story for X-fans. Jubilee’s characterization in particular just... seems to be built around this shocking reveal from last issue more than any practical understanding of her character or desires and loyalties.
And it’s nice to see that Xavier and the others are reaching out to invite Annie to join the school as a non-mutant but still super powered kid who could benefit from their special curriculum.
And I love how awesome Mary Jane gets to be, on awesome footing with Peter and Annie herself.
So I’m still liking this book, just the X-fan in me was a little mer on this two-parter. But you know what? Credit where credit is due: it’s a two-parter. And it didn’t drag and we’re moving on to the next storyline. That’s such an astonishing thing in this age in comics, honestly. I almost did a double take.
DC’s Detective Comics (2016-present) #956 James Tynion IV, Marcio Takara, Marcelo Maiolo
Tumblr media
We finally come to the conclusion of the League of Shadows arc and, honestly, considering the opinions I’ve very strongly held throughout this series, I am very happy with... Okay, very is overselling it. I’m content with this conclusion.
There are definite homages throughout this issue to Cass and Shiva’s ultimate battle in Batgirl (2000-2006) #25, and while there’s nothing that can really live up to that 2 year build up and steady tension between them, there’s also the matter that you feel Cassandra’s stakes in this battle are more than the validity of her own life here.
Part of that is that Cassandra’s angst in this new version of her character ultimately doesn’t have nearly the death wish that her Preboot self did, but there’s also a lot to be said for the fact that this Cassandra’s longing for relating to humanity, to live as more than just a shadow, is a unique perspective on ehr to take, and shows more insight and direction for her than she received at any point from about 2003 forward in her own series and after.
This is not a competition with the Batgirl #25 fight with Shiva, but holy shit it’s leagues better in my book than anything that went on between them in the Assassin’s Daughter arc and that final battle that got real gross real quick. Mostly because it doesn’t have Cassandra killing her mother, mutilating her corpse, and leave her to fall into a Lazarus Pit.
We just leave that for Ra’s al Ghul to tend to.
The art is beautiful and fantastic, and I loved the conclusion with Kate at least keeping her promise to Cassandra and going to the ballet, the fact that Cass and Christine are friends and meeting again, I’m so happy with all these things. Also Kate’s suit? Ballin’. But it ... looks like Bruce isn’t going to keep his promise and go to the ballet with them which like BRUCE DON’T GO DOWN THIS ROAD. IT ENDS WITH ME SMACKING YOU.
My criticisms for this arc overall still hold, with quite a bit of zeal, but like I’ve recounted before, Tynion is in top form when he has multiple characters and can focus on their relationships more than plot. And that held true here, even Jacob Kane got some relief from Tynion’s awful OOCness. but for once we have like... actual planting before payoff?
Also Bruce lol His hatred of magic continues even into this canon and ngl I love Bruce hating magic. And I look forward to having Zatanna meet up with the gang.  AT THE SAME TIME AS HER SCOOBY-DOO TEAM-UP APPEARANCE, COINCIDENCE? probably.
DC’s Gotham Academy: Second Semester (2016-2017) #9 Becky Cloonan, Brenden Fletcher, Karl Kerschl, MASSYK, Adam Archer, Sandra Hope
Tumblr media
We’re barreling toward the ending of Gotham Academy as we know it Olive seems to have lost her battle with the ghosts of her past, the Detective Club has broken into pieces, and the friendships of our favorite kids have never been more in danger.
And then Two-Face is teaming up with Calamity/Olive.
With Gotham Academy coming toward its close, I put it back on the Roundups rotation both because I hope to give the two series a reflection as a whole afterward, but also because I feel that my thoughts on the stories themselves wrapping up at last will five some fellow fans some insight as to where I think GA perhaps wandered away from the high standard it set for itself.
Issues like this, however, are reminders of everything right that Gotham Academy offered so uniquely compared to practically all other books out right now at DC. The character drama is at its finest, there’s a thin veil of mystery and intrigue hiding behind mysticism and Gotham lore, and everything feels as though it has a definitive direction.
DC’s Superwoman (2016-present) #10 K. Perkins, Stephen Segovia, Art Thibert, HI-FI
Tumblr media
I was extremely critical of this book’s resolution of the Who Killed Superwoman? arc and was pretty loud about it. It felt like a betrayal of the premise of the book, the marketing, and of the trust I had placed in the creative team under Phil Jimenez, who remains one of my favorite writers in comics period. But there is a love I have of the Super Family and of these characters that I still feel deserve more attention, and my worry over this book being dropped without ever really finding its audience has been real in recent months.
Fortunately it seems like the solution was always as simple as it appeared: what we needed was a woman’s touch in the writing room.
K. Perkins hits a stride in this issue that was severely lacking before. There is a concentration on the relationships with this family we have come to know as the Superwoman family, and the love between them is refreshing considering that the other Superman comics are focused on a more traditional, nuclear family built up.
And while we still haven’t seen Perkins tackle Lana’s mental illness directly, and I’m worried there’s a chance that her sudden resolve to be Superwoman and a hero again will come off as a “I just needed to get over myself and stop taking medication” story, it didn’t feel that way in this issue.
There were signs of depression in Lana’s present day that I was familiar with on an uncomfortable front, and there’s a lingering self-blame to her situation that I more than know.
But she has powers still without continuing to endanger her life. And she has resolve that didn’t come from diminishing her illness in text. And that’s a leap in the right direction.
DC’s Titans (2016-present) #11 Dan Abnett, Benjamin Percy, Christopher Priest, Brett Booth, Norm Rapmund, Andrew Dalhouse
Tumblr media
.... Okay funny story, I had actually meant to suspend my subscription to Titans this week because I’m not interested in the “Lazarus Contract” story arc and am definitely not going to force myself to pick up the other books being crossed over with for this event. But I forgot because I apparently work at 0% brain capacity on Monday nights and as soon as I remembered to do that for the Image comic Lazarus, which was going to be coming out with another ancillary issue I didn’t feel like picking up this week, I was like “yep those are the only things I didn’t want to subscribe to.” And forgot to take Titans off, even though Comixology is actually really good for constantly reminding you of your subscriptions in the days leading up to them.
So. Because I bought and read this ridiculously enough...
What do I think?
...
Well it was definitely a middle issue of a story I haven’t read and have no idea what’s going on! I’m just glad it’ll be resolved before next month’s issue and I can get back to enjoying my Titans.
Also like. Dick and Damian are... brothers. And one’s friends with Wally West on the Titans and one’s friends with Wally West on the Teen Titans. And... this hasn’t... come up yet? ummmmm kay. I’m not reading the Flash books or Teen Titans so wtf do I do I know
I dislike Slade. His motivations for hating the Titans still makes no sense, especially since every time he comes back they remind him that HIVE killed Grant not them. But whatever.
Dick’s lying to his team and keeping secrets. The other members of the team are disturbed by this. Looks like they’ll catch him in a lie and learn that things probably would’ve been better for everyone if he hadn’t lied like he did! Sure haven’t had that happen to Dick Grayson in a Teen Titans book have we.
Oh wait it happens all the time.
I’m ragging on this story big time but again, I have no idea what’s going on and haven’t read the crossover with the other books so that’s my bad. Absolutely. No doubts. I’m just grumpy bc that’s money I intended on saving. I mean. 2.99, but still money.
IDW’s Transformers: Lost Light (2016-present) #5 James Roberts, Jack Lawrence, Joana Lafuente
Tumblr media
OH. MY. GOD.
Okay so Lost Light has had a near impossible act to follow what with More Than Meets the Eye genuinely being one of the greatest comics I had to pleasure of following the publication of, but I am genuinely shocked how well this story is tying together and how all the themes of war, of depression, of love, of ingenuity, of anti-colonization, of questioning religion, of separating church and state -- I cannot believe how everything that James Roberts’ take on Transformers has been about, is coming together in a storyline that involves an alternate timeline where our favorite characters not only lost but never had the chance to fight.
It’s more than a darkest timeline, it’s about a timeline where the accountability for everyone’s actions has been extremely lacking, and that puts right in the face of all of our favorite characters that their own sins and questions must be accounted for.
Megatron was not just speaking for himself when he declared that Minimus and Rodimus were his conscience, he was speaking for the Lost Light’s crew as a whole.
They have grown each other and made each other better versions of themselves in all their crudeness and selfishness, in all their mistakes and flaws, they have created this unity between them where their sacrifices count because they count on each other. And it’s just the epitome of what I want and love out of stories. I could not be happier right now.
And we still have places to go with this storyline. Just. This is such a celebration of how uniquely Transformers this franchise is while still reaching us how to be uniquely better at being human. I love it.
DC’s Wonder Woman (2016-present) #22 Greg Rucka, Mirka Andolfo, Romulo Fajardo Jr.
Tumblr media
So, basically, Greg Rucka got the job he wanted of writing Wonder Woman again and he said in that moment “I am going to make it as clear as humanly possible that this queer icon is queer, everyone around her is queer, and there is nothing gained by denying as much.
And thank the gods for it.
In all seriousness, this was by no means a standout issue, it builds on the relationship of Veronica Cale and Diana which helps cement more understanding for their interactions in the last issue, but it is mostly also stuck in the middle of the big finales for both storylines so it was going to lack on that front almost without fail.
However I do want to shout out to the art team for the image I posted above in particular. Having Diana kiss Veronica in thanks while she quite literally clutches her pearls might be the single greatest “fuck you” to any people who have tried to make the argument that Wonder Woman with her lesbian themes and her feminism and her clay baby origins were somehow ruining the youth of America.
I love that Bruce and Lex both got rebuffed, how freaking amazing was that.
Anyway, there wasn’t a whole lot to this issue, but there was a fair amount to enjoy and it was nice to see these two fleshed out some more before our real finales come up.
It’s a tough call because Detective Comics had a lot more satisfying of a conclusion than I originally thought, even giving me a few more iconic Cass quotes to add to my collection, and we all know how that’s a direct line to my heart. But for my pick of the week I have to go with Transformers: Lost Light. It is genuinely one of the best comics around period. And beyond that, the way it balances its own mythos, the crushing weight of the greater Transformers lore, and the large cast of characters who all get character arcs and development even in something as simple as two panels showing our married mechs hanging off each other in a moment of weariness and peril after everything they’ve been through together? It’s just an amazing comic book. And I will always pick gay robots over just about anything else if you give me the option.
But those are just my picks and opinions for the week. What do you all think? Any comics I didn’t pick up that you enjoyed? I’d love to hear from you!

I’m glad its not just me who is certain that Apocalypse planned this whole thing for Nefarious Purpose
because I mean come on its Apocalypse
I actually didn’t mind him wanting a new name since he’s obviously trying to present himself as being Less Evil here and its hard to do that if your name literally means “The end of the world and the death of everyone on it” but yeah A is a terrible new name
Gambit be needin’ his accent back chere...how else Gambit gon’ work his charm?
I liked the scenes with Betsy and her Weird Family and I also liked seeing Jubilee however briefly...and I like Morgan Le Fey as a villainess so her being the books first villain makes me happy though I hope that someone takes her aside and tells her to please stop being so weirdly anti mutant like calm your shit Morgan you are literally a witch you shouldn’t be persecuting others
Jamie Braddock needs to put on some fuckin pants if he wants to hug his sister
I liked Brian being like “Sorry wait did you just say you were hanging out with Apocalypse because THATS A TERRIBLE IDEA”
I did also like that the writer remembered Gambit has history with Apocalypse and is one of many mutants who is Not Going To Be Okay with this asshole just chilling out on Krakoa
We’re totally going to get a Fairytale Kiss waking Rogue up since she’s literally sleeping beauty now...
I do definitely agree that the way the team was put together was...odd. like I’m all for characters with little in common being thrown together by circumstance because that can totally make for Good Drama but it didn’t feel like the way they came together actually really worked? That said I do want to see what happens next with the team and I am gonna give issue two a shot...
So ye plus points:
Well written Betsy
More Jubilee (YAY!)
Apocalypse being 50 Shades of Up To Shady Shit
Morgan Le Fey!
Shogo is safe with his mom again :)
Negatives
The plot felt a bit underwhelming to begin with
Gambit lacks his glorious 90′s cartoon accent (”WHY YU DO DIS TA ME BOBBEH?!?! YU MADE ME A TEEF!”)
Jamie Braddock is Awful Just Awful
The reason for the team coming together felt a bit rushed and not quite worked out
Not the most engaging start
That said I think it has potential...
If I had to rank the new X-men ongoings we’ve gotten so far I would say
Marauders: LOVE IT. Love it for having Emma, Kitty and Storm being bad ass, for having Iceman and Pyro in the cast and for also being actually genuinely fun and like after the years of awfulness by writers like Aaron, Rosenberg and Ed Brisson and the years of “Sometimes just okay, sometimes just as awful” from a lot of other writers it’s so nice to read an X-men team book that makes me be like “AHHHHH THIS IS FUN TO READ” and not “Oh god what are they doing now...”
X-men: Really liked a lot about it, felt it had some flaws in other places including some weak characterisation of Jean and Storm coming off a bit OOC at times but I’m going to read future issues to see what happens and also in the hope that I get the Jean/Emma/Scott/Logan Big Queer Poly Mutant Orgy I crave
Excalibur: Not the best first issue but good enough that I will keep reading and see how things go from here
Also can this series PLEASE give Betsy a girlfriend?
LET HER GET SOME LADY LOVE

Excalibur #1 Review
 *Spoilers*
The issue starts in Camelot/Otherworld, where Morgan Le Fey has taken over and is unhappy with the Krakoan portals. (In her defense, uninvited guests and door-to-door salesman are the worst!)
Back in Britain, Betsy is packing up her things at Braddock manor and getting ready to head over to Krakoa. Their s***** brother gets mentioned (aka obvious foreshadowing!)
When Betsy gets there she is greeted and uncomfortable with others calling her ‘Psylocke’.
Apocalypse is meanwhile with Trinary looking at the unusual otherworld portal, with Apocalypse wanting someone to go through it…(and apparently a name change…).
Morgan embeds some rando humans with powers (not very interesting).
To make things worse Betsy runs into Kwannon (in Kwannon’s defense I’d totally be pissed too if my body had been stuck in the Warren/Betsy love triangle for years!) but luckily for Betsy, Fabio (now named 'Egg’ because apparently ALL the X-Men now need name changes…) asks her for help.
Jamie Braddock is back and super creepy. He doesn’t want her to tell Brian and has decided to ignore humanity-Betsy refuses. The whole exchange is cut off by Apocalypse wanting her to go get her brother Brian and go into the Otherworld to investigate by using the CB amulet.
Betsy and Brian have a cute brother-sister moment and then go (also totally agree with Brian on the whole 'Apocalypse thing’).
They find Morgan Le Fey on the throne and she orders CB as protector of the Otherworld to kill Betsy.
It then cuts to Rogue and Gambit on Krakoa (with arguably the worst written Gambit I’ve ever seen… like if you’re NOT going to do the shitty accent, what’s even the point in having Remy?!), debating about getting freaky despite Rogue not having her power dampening bracelet. Like always this is interrupted by X-Men problems (poor Rogue went through YEARS of not being able to have a physical relationship and now has to deal with this bull****!), with Apocalypse wanting to use Rogue to get through the gate (this whole explanation feels half a**** and like the writer needed an excuse for throwing in Rogue and Gambit- I’m not even going to bother talking about how Jubilee gets thrown in this book, because it’s not even really important).
Also Gambit is unsurprisingly pissed (still bitter about the horseman thing…or just pissed off 'A’ ruined his night plans…).
Back at Avalon Brian has been corrupted by Morgan and is trying to kill Betsy. Betsy destroys the portal psychically with the help of Rogue but it causes backlash that encases Rogue in blue roses.
In a moment of clarity Brian asks her to put on the amulet.
Returning back to Krakoa we see Betsy is the new Captain Britain and Betsy sees what has happened to Rogue.
Also the people Morgan Le Fey gave powers to are now joining Clan Akkaba.
Opinions:
Yay that Trinary pops up again despite not having much to do!
Honestly this has been the worst book out of this event so far, in my opinion.
Basically, all the reservations I had about this book have come to fruition.
The team feels haphazardly thrown together with little sense as to 'WHY’ they were chosen.
It’s not that I don’t think the themes are bad-'reinventing yourself’, 'family’, 'the controversy with Kwannon’; but it’s just not executed well. It just feels by the numbers and really bland.
Gambit is GLARINGLY awful in this book!
Like when I miss Guggenheim’s 'Boy-o’, we know there’s a problem.
None of the characters are particularly engaging in this first issue. You don’t really feel the connections these characters SHOULD HAVE.
I think the biggest issue here- is Excalibur was an AMAZING book! To just throw this title on what honestly looks to be a sub-par book is…really sad.
I just don’t think I will continue reading this after issue #2.
In more positive news-Shogo is back with Jubilee (hopefully she kicked tricka** Jono to the curb!)
 Theories:
Obviously 'A’ (🙄) planned this whole thing and wanted a mutant CB.

Criminal Minds — currently on season 6 (derek morgan, aaron hotchner, emily prentiss) COD:MW — (john price, alejandro vargas) Marvel — (logan howlett, miguel o'hara, miles morales) TWD / FTWD — keep in mind i only just started ftwd so be patient with me! twd i've watched it all (daryl dixon, abraham ford, rick grimes, ezekiel sutton, qaletaqa walker) The Last Of Us — i've only watched the Max show and i'm currently on episode five i believe (joel miller) Fruits Basket — currently rewatching (hatori sohma, shigure sohma, kazuma sohma) One Piece — so here you gotta be really patient with me because i just started the anime and i'm in the Loguetown Arc (roronoa zoro, sanji, shanks) i will do my best to in contact with each like! please only like this if you are interested in roleplaying any of these fandoms, don't leave me hanging as i don't want to be wasting anyone else's nor my own time. have a good day/evening to everyone!

apocalypses and heroes and ice skates, oh my!
hello hello my baby hello my honey hello my ragtime gal!
hey how are ya my name is emmy and i’m here to search for a new rp partner. a bit about me, i’m 21, canadian, about to start a summer job before returning to college, and i go by she/her pronouns. i reside in the mountain timezone and i am thrilled to hopefully start writing with you.
why should you write with me? because i promise that if i pick up an rp with you i’m gonna put 100 and 10 percent of my effort into our story. i’m looking for a long term typa gig, someone who i can really weave a plot with, someone who digs the cut of my jib. i want us to be able to sob over our characters together late into the night. i want us to exchange songs, playlists, posts found on the internet, aesthetic boards, whatever reminds us of our characters/our plot. i want us to go through our character’s struggles together as well as be able to cheer together when our characters get ahold of their sitch and come up on top. i want us to inspire one another with our writing. it’s gonna be great. you & me honey.
gee, that sounds nice! i’m inclined to agree with ya! but a few things you should know before you go any further: i write anywhere between full lit to lit + to novella style, so expect posts of at least 4 - 6 paragraphs baseline. sometimes i crank out 10. or 20. depends entirely on what’s going on. i write according to situation, with a great amount of detail spent on what my character is thinking/feeling in response to yours. the replies you get will be fully fleshed out & enthralling. i am a stickler for grammar and spelling, though nobody’s perfect, i do occasionally have my slipups. all lowercase text is strictly kept to ooc communication. i will never pressure you into posting or writing ridiculous amounts just to match my post. i want you to have fun too, ya hear? if i’ve had a bit to drink or am about to hit the hay, i’ll wait to post when i can give my post my full attention. usually i’ll be able to post at least once a day, sometimes multiple times a day if we’re in the same or a similar time zone. i also totally understand life happens and sometimes we just need a breather. ♥ i have bipolar depression, and sometimes my depression kicks my ass, but i’ll let you know when that happens.
oh goodness, what else? i write predominantly m/m pairings but i am open to m/f and f/f as well. i do not write high fantasy settings, sorry doll. my interests mostly align with modern day, slice of life kinda stuff, aside from the fandoms i do have. i don’t have many limits besides excessive gore, scat, mpreg, and writing smut for sake of smut. i love my romance just like anyone else does, but it’s got to have plot. our characters have to have chemistry or else i get bored. i haven’t doubled before but i think i’d be down with the right plot. usually i prefer that we play one character each, or we play multiple characters within a plot, but not usually more than one plot at the same time. but!!! i am totally willing to try new things!! just be patient with me as i learn m'kay? also most of my characters are pretty kinky but like, i prefer that we talk about kinks and limits one on one as opposed to airing out my character’s laundry. also- i wanna be your friend ooc. let’s chat. i find it’s so much easier to have muse and post if i enjoy the virtual company of the people i’m writing with.
ok but what do you write?
what *don’t* i write? kidding. here’s a bit of fandom for ya. if i’ve got plots listed, they’re the ideas i have, but i’m totally open to yours as well. stars denote how much i’m craving them. i’ll list the canon characters i write after i list the fandom:
fallout: new vegas & 4: arcade gannon & elder maxson, paladin danse - also got a ton of ocs for both *plot for fallout 4 a: we explore the cut ending to the brotherhood of steel questline, wherein the sole survivor and paladin danse refuse maxson’s final orders for danse, and fight for danse to become the leader of the brotherhood of steel. would likely require you playing maxon or danse and me playing the other, with one of us playing the sole survivor.  *plot for fallout 4 b: your/my oc is a double agent for the railroad, with the mission to infiltrate the brotherhood of steel and send intelligence back to the agents back at home base. your/my oc becomes unexpectedly attached to elder maxson through work and circumstance. eventually, your/my oc must make a choice of where their allegiance lies: within the arms of arthur or with the faction they are fighting for. (potentially, we could double and do plot a & b at the same time.)
mafia 2: vito scaletta  ***plot for mafia 2 a: we explore the dynamics of a relationship between vito and your oc. your oc could be in a position of great risk- think outside of the mafia, possibly a police officer, prostitute. some position where power dynamics could be played with. if the pairing is m/m we also deal with the themes of internalized homophobia and coming to terms with one’s identity.
*bioshock 1, 2 & infinite: brigid tenbenbaum, andrew ryan, frank frontaine & eleanor lamb, sofia lamb & booker dewitt
**marvel cinematic universe: tony stark, steve rogers
**greater marvel universe: logan howlett, carol danvers
***the office: pam beesly, angela martin
but honestly where my heart lies is within oc rp. here are a few plots i have of mine, stars denote how much i’m craving them:
**(m/m) power & politics: my oc is a prestigious state senator, who lives a double life. he is currently in the closet with no intent on leaving it anytime soon. however, a certain someone falls into his life, making him question what he thought he knew for certain. your oc breaks down the walls my oc has put up and changes him into a softer, better man. however, with an upcoming presidential campaign on the horizon for my oc, the limits of the secret relationship will be pushed and pulled beyond what both parties have ‘signed up for.'
****(m/m) the guardian: your oc is a newcomer to the nhl but is quickly making waves- think connor mcdavid style. he’s young and impressive, but mostly, impressionable. he starts to get battered around by both his teammates and opposing teams. after a few hard hits and fowl play within the game that have cost your oc bench and recovery time, the team’s coach calls in reinforcements to boost the team’s morale and serve as a protector to your oc. my oc is a winger who hasn’t got the talent part but has got a huge heart. not to mention… huge hands. good for makin’ fists. good for fightin’.  my oc protects your oc during the games, coming to your oc’s aid, picking fights for your oc and protecting him on the ice. as such, the two wingers grow attached to one another.. perhaps too attached for the coach to be comfortable with. possibilities for a love triangle and other complications, for sure.
***(m/m or m/f) two worlds: your oc is a figure skater. my oc is a goaltender. both happen to share practice/warm-up ice and, in my oc’s effort to show off and win your oc over, he injures himself. one awkward trip to the er later, while under the influence of a huge amount of morphine, my oc admits his attempted double axel was prompted by the simple thought of how cute your oc is. this plot starts simple but compounds, with the two struggling with their careers and seeing one another, as well as my oc’s battle with alcoholism & painkiller addiction within the nhl.
***(m/m) big money: these two ocs play for rival teams in the nhl. while their teams have a history of tension, our two ocs take it to the next level. audiences are more excited to watch these two fight than they are to watch the game itself. there’s a market in the violence between these two, and a reputation to maintain on both ends. if the public found out that these two were secretly seeing one another, their careers would both be over.
i recognize that a lot of these focus on the nhl/the lives of professional hockey players- please don’t be worried about hockey knowledge/nhl jargon/whatever else goes through your head! i’m more interested in sport as a realm for drama than i am for following the rulebook and being 100% accurate to life when it comes to hockey. there’s a lot i don’t know and am still needing to learn, myself! as for general oc ideas, here’s a list:
professor x student
veteran x civillian
cop x criminal
street racing, fast-and-furious-esque setting
rival gangs
nhl/hockey based (lol obviously)
small town canadiana or americana
fun, fluffy romance based modern settings
darker themes such as addiction, abuse, etc
historical setting- preferably, the second world war/1940s-1960s
honestly whatever you can pitch to me that isn’t high fantasy ☺
hell yeah let’s do this pal
if any, and i mean any, of this piqued your fancy, pleaaaase shoot me an email at
i will respond! but please send me something thoughtful! i’d like to hear what part of my ad that you’re interested in/why you chose to contact me. i am willing to rp over email or over skype. just let me know. i’d like to email back and forth a little bit before we get right into it & before i give out my skype. i am totally down to chat via google hangouts, i prefer it, but i'll use skype too. i want to get to know ya! i sure look forward to hearing from you!  ✌ & ♥ emmy

September 1st

Oxford, UK
Blood Status:
Pureblood
House:
Slytherin
Face Claim:
Matthew Daddario
Personality:
Trenton has always been the most serious of the three boys in his family, evident even at birth. By the time he was nine he had mostly outgrown the imaginary friends, belly laughs, and wild abandon of kids his age; when he played it was to win, the only real exception being with his best friend. His loyalty to those who earn it is unbreakable, especially to his family, but he is not so easily won over. Taking after his father, he has never been a very trusting person, though as with his loyalty if someone puts in enough work he may eventually let them in. For the most part however, he tries to play things close to the vest; Trenton is a firm believer in not putting too many eggs in one basket, not even his best friend knows all of his secrets. Growing up surrounded by blood purists had the desired effect on Trenton. Both his parents were firm believers in a new order where muggles no longer had any power over wizards, no more hiding their abilities behind closed doors. All of their friends, with whom Trenton spent most weekends and even some evenings after work and lessons, believed the same. Their kids, his friends, even his brothers believed it. There wasn’t a chance he would be allowed to grow up thinking anything else, and Trenton did not disappoint. Deep down he is uncertain why he thinks purity is the most important thing about wizards, but at this point the feeling of dislike has become too ingrained into his personality for him to question it without dismantling his entire belief system.
Biography:
Long before Trenton Rosier was even a thought, his grandparents were devout supporters of the Dark Lord. During his first reign, Trenton’s grandfather was killed by aurors, leaving his young children alone with only their mother, who was forced into hiding on the mainland for many years. The kids grew up hearing many stories about how their heroic father went down fighting for the cause, rather than quietly giving himself up to the Ministry like a coward. They idolized him, and while they may have missed him dearly and wished he could have watched them grow up, none of the children had anything but respect for their father. Many years later, around the turn of the century, Marcus Rosier married a pureblooded woman whose family was close with his, and returned to the UK, just as his father would have wanted - it was a union of strategy rather than love, but it didn’t hurt that his new bride was the sole heir to a rather large estate and fortune. Not long after their marriage came the birth of their first son, Braden, and only a year later came a second, Logan. It was at that point Marcus’s tolerance of muggle oppression hit an all-time low, and he began organizing meetings with some of his closest friends to discuss the future of wizardkind. Under the pretense of being a social group, Marcus’s followers began to grow. He was very cautious only to discuss such important matters with those he knew could be trusted, and every person took time to vet before they were granted insider information. The process was slow-going, but Marcus felt that secrecy was the key to their success - the Death Eaters had lacked a certain subtlety and in the end he felt that had been the reason for their failure. He was determined to succeed where Voldemort had not. Four years after the birth of his second son came a third: Trenton. He was a strange baby from the start, and for a long while his mother feared he was ill or even mentally unbalanced; he rarely cried, laughed only for his brothers and the Nott baby who was close in age, and seemed generally uninterested in the typical toys of infants. Even as a child he seemed serious and attentive, his gaze seemingly intensely set on whatever he happened to be looking at. For months his mother refused to let him out of her sight for longer than ten minutes at a time, concerned with his abnormal behavior. As time went on and young Trenton seemed to relax, his mother grew less and less attached, exhausted from watching him so intently and constantly for so long a time. By the time he turned one, Trenton’s demeanor had changed enough that no one who met him would be able to guess the troubling start to life he had. Just before his second birthday, a ghastly rumor spread throughout Marcus’s group of purists. One of the members, assigned the duty of vetting foreign contacts in the hopes of beginning an international movement, was expecting a new baby, and there were many whispers that the timeline didn’t add up. Devoted servant to the cause, the man had been out of the country during the time the baby would have been conceived; when the girl was born her mother insisted premature labor, but many still had their doubts. She was a very attractive woman, and while at the time they had interpreted it as devotion, she had been spending a considerable amount of time with a man who was not her husband.. Marcus did his best to silence the whisperers, knowing full well the child was his. He had never truly loved his wife just as she had never truly loved him, and though she now turned her back on him save for social events, the only regret he felt was for the indiscretion had begat a halfblood child. Their sham of a marriage did not last much longer however, for the woman had long grown tired of pretending to love a man whose presence she loathed, and the insult of his affair was enough to give her the courage she needed. Homesick for her family, she divorced her husband and left their three sons in his care to return to the mainland just after Trenton’s seventh birthday. While they write each other fairly regularly, Trenton has not seen his mother in person in many years. Marcus did his best to be a strong figure his sons could follow as they grew, the way his father had been for him. Unfortunately, as he had spent most of his life not knowing his father but through the stories told by his mother, Marcus had very little idea of how to behave around his boys. Talking with them was challenging enough for him, but to be a parent? He didn’t have the slightest clue where to start. And so Trenton and his brothers grew up admiring their father, the figurehead of the Purity movement and a strong head of their household, but not really knowing the man on a very personal level. Nannies were the people who raised the Rosier boys after their mother left, and though their father did his best to parent when he knew how, Trenton may as well have been orphaned. His father took him to quidditch matches but never threw a quaffle around with him at home, bought him his own owl but rarely sent him anything. Still, having inherited so much of his father’s serious demeanor, Trenton did not mind this lack of affection as much as his brothers. There were no hugs or I love you’s, only claps on the shoulder for making the quidditch team and respectfully inclined heads for getting full marks in Transfiguration, and Trenton learned early on that the only opinion of any real importance was his own. Trenton did not cry as many first years did when they boarded the train to Hogwarts. That being said, he knew he would miss his father greatly and, not wanting to show any weakness in front of his father, when he stepped onto the train he did not look back to wave one last goodbye. Had he done so he might have seen the sadness in his father’s eyes, possibly the first real sign of delicate emotion the man had let show in a long time. Trenton was mildly excited for his new school, though having heard so much about it from his brothers it was not half the mystery to him that it was to most others. He and Zane spent the entire train ride playing exploding snap and eating as much candy from the trolly as they could possibly fit in their stomachs; what they could not finish, they stored in their trunks for later that night. After all, it was Trenton’s birthday, and he deserved some type of celebration. The Sorting Hat debated for far too long in Trenton’s opinion, before deciding to put him in Slytherin. According to it, he had potential in any of the four houses, and in fact it tried changed its mind many times before finally placing him in the house of the serpent, though its reasons had been unclear. It mentioned something about his mind being too full of other voices for him to know what is right for him, and that “Slytherins will help clear that up in no time.” To this day he hasn’t any idea what the Hat may have meant. Regardless, he joined Zane at the table decorated in green and silver, never to question its decision.
Headcanons:
(I.) Zannon Warrington has been Trenton’s best friend for longer than he can remember - the way his brothers tell it, the two have shared a fondness and playful rivalry since their diaper days. Truth be told, Trent loves Zane every bit as much as his own family members and would die for his friend without a second thought. As serious as Trent is, Zane is his polar opposite, balancing Trent out with his endless sarcasm and jokes. He frequently forces Trent to step outside his comfort zone and relax, and though he’d deny it ‘til the end, Trenton loves him for it; the majority of his happiest memories only happened because of the boy he’s come to see as his third and closest brother.
(II.) As a student Trenton isn’t top of the class, but he’s no slacker either. Some subjects, such as Transfiguration, are easy for him, while others like Divination and Potions are more of a struggle. He sees no merit in relying on soggy tea leaves or a ball full of mist to predict his future, and following potions directions to a tee is something he has to really focus on to get right. It was thanks to his poor Divination performance that he reconnected with Anastasia Zabini, the daughter of one of his father’s old friends and the future love of his life. Since becoming close with her Trenton has gotten better at hiding his loathing for Divination, but he still believes it to be an obsolete subject.
(III.) After divorcing his father and leaving her family, Trenton did not hear from his mother for years. In fact, his first letter from her did not arrive until a week before he left for Hogwarts. She explained that she still loved him and wanted what was best for him, but her life had been chosen for her and she couldn’t allow that to continue any longer. Her letter said she feared Trenton may one day be faced with the same situation, the way his father was pursuing his cause no matter the consequences; she didn’t want Trenton and his brothers to get sucked into the battle out of loyalty to their father, and invited him to come live with her. It wasn’t until that point that Trenton realized just how angry he was with his mother for being so selfish as to leave her own flesh and blood, young children no less, and not even have the decency to write until four years later. He tore up the letter and pitched it. It was another two years before Trenton decided to write her back, and the two have slowly built up their relationship since. Now the two correspond about every two or three weeks, but Trenton will never be able to fully trust her.
(IV.) Trent’s long-time closeness with Kiri Camden eventually earned him her trust, and around Christmas of his sixth year she confided in him that her mother had been involved in an affair long ago and the man she had believed to be her father wasn’t actually related to her. This thought lingered in the back of his mind for a while, nudging at some old rumors he’d heard of his own father’s infidelity around that same time. With the help of his brothers and best friend, Trent discovered that his friend’s deceased mother had run in the same circle as his father back in the day, and the two had been very close indeed. In a moment of bravery he wasn’t quite sure how he mustered, Trent asked his father for the truth and the man confirmed it, though insisted Trent was not to breathe a word to anyone, as the woman had been a halfblood and therefore impure by Rosier standards. Trent, who has long-since grown to love Kiri like the little sister he never had, has absolutely no idea how to tell her that they really are related - especially since the thing Kiri wants more than anything is a family, and their father wants nothing to do with her.
Writing Sample:
I don’t want to do this so just use the Kiri/Trenton quidditch thread
OPTIONAL INFORMATION
Wand:
Hawthorn, two unicorn foal tail hairs, 12 1/3 inches, extremely rigid
Amortentia:
Anastasia’s favourite perfume; broomstick handle polish - the weekly routine of maintaining his quidditch equipment, something he’s done since he was ten; salty sea air - it reminds him of his favourite vacation from long ago, when his family was together and happy
Boggart:
Varies between his brother’s dead body, Zane’s, Anastasia’s, and his own. Trenton fears death above all else - though his reckless competitions with Zane beg to differ; he fears the finality, the inevitability that it will happen to him and everyone he loves, and there’s nothing he will be able to do to stop it when the time comes.
Dementor:
During a family trip to South Germany when he was young to visit one of his father’s old friends, Trenton wandered off to explore the nearby forest where he was entranced by a pleasant sort of cackling a ways off. Curious and daring as he was, he set out to find the source and stumbled into an Erkling who promptly tried to catch and eat the young boy. Out of pure luck Trenton managed to outrun the creature until he was near enough the house to call for help. His brothers came running just as the Erkling caught hold of Trenton’s ankle, throwing heavy rocks at the creature until it let the small boy go free and retreated. On his worst nights Trenton sometimes still has nightmares of the rows of sharp teeth mere inches away from his face, and every time he nears a dementor he is forced to hear the high pitched cackling he once found so entrancing it nearly got him eaten alive.
Patronus:
Clouded leopard- sly, cunning, lethal, blends in well, silent but deadly. His best memory is one of a Christmas ball his father hosted a couple of years back; he invited Anastasia on one of their first real dates outside of Hogwarts. Halfway through the night he was struck with the realization that he loved her, subsequently panicked, essentially abandoned her, and when she finally tracked him down she told him - as if reading his mind - that when you love someone you do not leave her standing alone in the middle of the dance floor, especially mid-song. It was one of her more bossy moments in life, and Trenton fell even harder for her.
Anything Else:
Nothing!
