hc that lockwood was out running an errand earlier on the morning of Lucy's interview and saw a pretty girl looking into a shop window and was taken aback by how pretty she was and ran home to tell george. george could honestly care less but lockwood is so happy because he noticed that she had a rapier case on her back and rants to george about how she must be an agent and that means that he has a shot of seeing her again/talking to her.

and then a couple of hours later lucy carlyle, the pretty girl that lockwood had seen while he was running his errands, walks into 35 Portland Row and asks about getting a job and lockwood has to fight the urge to give it to her before even giving her an interview. george immediately knows what's going on and that's one of the reasons that he doesn't want lockwood to hire her- bc he can see that lockwood is all but jumping for joy when he sees her again and he knows that lockwood is already falling for her. george teases him relentlessly while lucy unpacks later that night.

I still hate the cancellation of Lockwood and Co.

I'm sure we would have seen the first Locklyle kiss, as well as the formalization of Goerge & Flo as a couple and Holly as a lesbian in the version of the show.

The fact that Locklyle and George & Flo end up together is only suggested in the book, so no real conversations on the subject and even fewer kisses are shown to us, while Holly is insinuated that she is a lesbian, but nothing is confirmed either.

Once again, the show definitely took a more direct route with the number of times Locklyle observed each other's mouths as well as the George & Flo scenes which exude a fairly obvious form of flirt.

It's really a shame.

We finally had the opportunity to see the romances of this story officially come to fruition and maybe even meet Holly's roommate and... Netflix ruined everything.

It’s the way that Lucy’s public persona and vibe is more reserved subtle smiles, and Lockwood’s is big charming grins, so while Lucy’s big grins are important and meaningful, for Lockwood it’s the opposite, his small subtle smiles hold even more meaning than his grins.

Like Lucy masks her emotions by toning them down and keeping them in (which makes sense given her home life) so when she’s really experiencing happiness and joy she full on grins because she just physically can’t contain it. But then Lockwood masks his emotions by performing, so when he holds back a smile it’s because it’s real and precious and he’s enjoying the moment just for himself and no one else and a small smile is just as, if not, more meaningful than a big grin from him.

And I think that’s so beautiful.

Lockwood is a homeowner at age 15 and he wanders around it drinking tea and charming people into giving him yhings. Lucy carlyle is a hotheaded aggressive and EXTREMELY powerful agent in his ghost hunting company. They both get shit done but in OPPOSITE ways. They have an interesting way of rejecting traditional gendered tropes- the sensitive dude and the bullheaded girl- that is both simple and INTENSELY complicated within their narrative, which i think qualifies them for the title.

she is the protagonist of the series, a once in a generation prodigy, the most powerful listener since Marissa Fittes, the list goes on. He likes to drink pulpy orange juice and strain it throught his teeth to pretend to be a blue whale
