UPDATE (APRIL 2024): Because The Spirealm is now available through official channels again (Viki, Viu, iQiyi maybe soon?) some of the below links no longer work. I'm leaving them here, but please support the show by watching it through the official websites if you can!
Hello besties,
I come bearing all the sources I can find on English subs for The Spirealm, the live-action adaptation of the danmei novel Kaleidoscope of Death because I need more people to freak out with me over this. A lot of people (me included) have been suffering through the sometimes-unintelligible MTL subs on dramacool, but now that some time has passed, some wonderful people out there have done some amazing fansubs and I thought I'd share some links that @naughtynanzhu and I have found.
Pick your poison:
This google drive contains all 78 episodes, 23 of which have English subtitles (as of 3/21/2024). New episodes are being added but slowly. Video quality up to 1080p. (Note: there are some cute English subbed bts videos at the bottom!) Credit to twitter users @mwsdrama and @xianguang0104 who I believe are the fans behind these fansubs. NOTE (Apr. 2024): This google drive now seems to have restricted access - see note at end of bullet three below
This google drive contains all 78 episodes, all of which have English subtitles. However the English subtitles overlap a little bit with the Chinese ones so it can be a little bit hard to read. Video quality up to 720p. NOTE (Apr. 2024): This google drive now also seems to have restricted access and may not work.
This google drive has all 78 episodes of English subtitles in the form of srt files. You can download them and play the video in your choice of player that allows you to load in srt files (VLC, KMPlayer, etc.). NOTE (Apr. 2024): There is a link at the top to the raw video files ("78 episodes Raw Files 1080") which you can use to access the video files that were originally available in the google drive above that is now restricted.
Retro_fiction on bilibili has English subtitles, but a VPN may be required depending on where you are. NOTE (Apr. 2024): Looks like these have been taken down as well
I can't vouch for the quality of the subtitles for all 78 episodes across all three links, but I scanned through a few episodes in each drive and they're all quite good as far as I can tell, and definitely a million times better than the MTL ones.
Personally, I would download the video files from the first link and the srt files from the third and play them in KMPlayer together for the video quality and lack of overlapping subtitles.
Thank you to the wonderful fansubbers out there who worked hard on these. Please share and enjoy!

How To Fucking Write: a guide by fairyhaos
this post details:
ENEMIES TO LOVERS
hi gays and gals! "how to fucking write" is back after a longgg hiatus ^^ this time we're discussing enemies to lovers which is, i think, a universally loved trope! please do send an ask if you have any requests for what i should write advice for next, and do reblog this post if it was helpful for you :)
# - HOW TO WRITE ENEMIES TO LOVERS.
.. bullet point one : choose your e2l
the most important thing when starting is figuring out what type of enemies to lovers youâre writing about. this is mostly semantics: lots of writers/ advice givers will tell you that thereâs only one real enemies to lovers (when theyâre literally enemies) but personally, i believe that âenemiesâ can be used as an umbrella term for loads of different relationships.
figure out what kind of âenemiesâ your characters are. this is by no means an extensive list, but enemies to lovers can include:
literal fighting enemies
(academic) rivals
2 people who snipe at each other a lot
betrayed(????) by one another
âŠand many other types.
figuring out in which way theyâre enemies helps write out their dynamic, and also setting.Â
for example, youâll often see type #1 used in historical, fantasy, battle or mafia settings, where there will be two âsidesâ, either due to family feuds, country/ kingdom feuds, etc., so their dynamic often feels more serious and more emotionally charged due to history and/or ancestral beliefs that theyâve grown up with.
itâs often seen as the âtruestâ form of enemies to lovers, because the characters interact with the intention to genuinely hurt each other. this will therefore affect the way you write them, since it has to seem like there is genuine, mutual animosity between them.
example : [court of lies on ao3] â taegyu, enemies to lovers
(holy fuck this is such a bad example but) as you can see, enemies to lovers works well within historical settings, since themes of betrayal, bloodshed and battles lends itself nicely to the trope.
knowledge of how to write fight scenes can be quite useful (fightwrite.net helped a lot with writing mine), along with making sure that dialogue uses action tags that showcase the charactersâ emotions.Â
type #2, on the other hand, most likely takes place in universities, high schools, and sometimes in offices, where academics are important and itâs less about trying to hurt one another, and more about being royally pissed off by the other personâs presence.
there are certain nuances to how the characters interact depending on what kind of enemies to lovers situation theyâre in, which is why itâs important to figure that out first.
.. bullet point two : figure out the why .
next, try to find out the why. why are they enemies?Â
it is imperative that you explain their situation to the readers and make them understand why the characters are enemies, and most importantly, why they canât get together right now. enemies to lovers often goes hand-in-hand with slow burns for exactly this reason.
are they enemies due to clashing beliefs? a certain incident that happened between them, or to someone they know? maybe itâs just repressed feelings?
for every type of enemies to lovers, and for their subsequent settings, thereâs often a set list of reasons that most writers use to explain why theyâre enemies.Â
historical settings often have some sort of feud taking place, or a betrayal. academic rivals focus on, well, academics, but social factors of popularity are often used. and âenemiesâ who snipe at each other often have very superficial reasons that they dislike one another, such as a bad first meeting or a misguided impression of personality.
the reason doesnât particularly have to be something as dark and deep as convoluted morals or someone killed someone elseâs father. they still need to overcome their enemy relationship and become lovers, after all.
but having a reason helps your readers feel more comfortable that the story will go somewhere and that there truly is an obstacle thatâs preventing your characters from getting together at the very beginning. and if that reason is an interesting one, then⊠well, all the better, i suppose.
.. bullet point three : the friends part
for a good enemies to lovers that has your readers truly invested in the story, the lovers potential has to be there too, even when theyâre enemies.
the characters also have to have respect for each other, above all else. if the situation becomes dire, they need to be able to understand one anotherâs views and work together, or at least recognise that they share some ideas and have moments where they get along.
this will a) make the transition from enemies into lovers more natural and b) create the tension that makes e2l so popular.
the best ways to show these moments are by having scenes where the characters have no choice but to work together, and in that time, begrudgingly admit that the other person isnât as bad as they first thought.
it could be a group project, them fighting for the same cause for once (against a corrupt/ unfair policy), having to get along briefly due to mutual friends, or any situation where they have to act amicably for once and, most importantly, learn a little about one another in the process.
okay, but yena, how can i write those scenes? what can i do to create that tension?
describe certain actions, mannerisms, and the way that they speak to each other that showcase acceptance and positive emotions. this can come in the form of:
lingering eye contact
them agreeing on something
smiles!!!!Â
a pleasantly surprised inner monologueÂ
dialogue being more lighthearted
A doing something for B without being asked
(this is extra hard mode but) creating an inside joke
âŠand whilst it is a little shallow, an acknowledgement of the other personâs attractiveness always works really well, too.
example : [my other e2l taegyu fic on ao3]
as a rivals to lovers fic, their dynamic already started off more playful than in the other example i showed, but you can see that their conversation is more teasing, as they become more comfortable with talking to each other normally.
the term âenemies to loversâ always felt a little weird to me, because itâs important to remember that itâs often more like âenemies to friends to loversâ, because the characters need to develop a liking of one another first before they can think of themselves in a romantic relationship.
.. bullet point four : the oh moment
why do they become lovers in the end?Â
what is the tipping point? what makes a character realise that theyâve fallen for someone they once believed to be their mortal enemy? do their feelings hit them all at once, or is it a slow build up? and what are they going to do about it?
enemies to lovers lends itself very nicely to the feelings-hit-me-like-a-truck trope and the iconic oh moment. writing the inner monologue is a good way to showcase the exact momene the penny drops. for example, i have a loose âformulaâ that i like to use when writing oh moments (whether theyâre in e2l fics or not):
[dialogue/ action of B as A watches them]
[inner monologue of A showcasing fondness for that action]
[inner monologue of A recognising how their feelings changed over time]
[action from B that solidifies overwhelming fondness and has A surprised by their feelings]
[the oh / oh no moment as the penny drops and A realises what this means]
this is by no means the only way to write out a âfeelings realisationâ scene, but it works very well, because the inner monologue can use varying sentence structures and a bunch of metaphors and figurative language to build anticipation.
example [venus and sun on ao3] â seoksoo, friends to lovers
this extract essentially follows the outline i described, and seokminâs acknowledgement of joshua as sweet refers to how he had previously known little about him, merely referring to him as âniceâ before their relationship gradually built up to that moment.
for a really effective oh moment, the characters need to have a chance to reflect on how their relationship has developed. they need to be able to notice their growth and draw their own conclusion from there.
.. bullet point five : be careful .Â
finally, some precautions.
with enemies to lovers, the whole attraction is the tension between the characters, the original animosity that is actually hiding their repressed feelings. but they still have to fall in love at the end, despite what they put each other through.
do not make them do something that they canât take back.
this is quite important with enemies that physically fight each other. giving near-fatal injuries, or paralysing or physically disabling them (again, fightwrite.net is useful in giving info in this) is definitely not good lover-material.Â
unless the injuries were given when the character was (maybe magically) influenced by someone else, or your characters are traumatised enough to be able to accept each other despite everything, then itâs a good idea to stay away from severe injuries that they inflict on the other and focus more on tense dialogue and opposing beliefs.
however, itâs still equally as important to be careful with emotional hurt that characters cause one another too. donât make a betrayal too unforgivable.Â
as a writer, you have to be empathetic: think from your characterâs point of view. constantly ask yourself if character A will be able to forgive character B if they do something. ask if they can still fall in love with character B if they hurt them in some way.
if they canât, then you know youâve gone too far, and you need to dial it back.
and as a somewhat obvious but still just as important sidenote: e2l based on stockholm syndrome (captor x captive situations) or bullying to lovers is never okay. the power imbalance along with the trauma that can be developed from that means that it is not a healthy, viable, good relationship in the slightest.
never have your characters do something that youâd feel uncomfortable being the receiving end of. theyâre meant to be lovers, remember? even when theyâre not there yet, the characters should still treat each other with respect.
âŠunless, of course, youâre looking to write a somewhat toxic/ unhealthy relationship. in which case, by all means.
... and that's it ! if anyone has anything else to askt hen just shoot me ask, because i'd love to help however i can :)

For @shanastoryteller who asked for the gut bacteria expert's* recipe:
The professor's green energy smoothie
Ingredients
(two servings, according to the original)
half an avocado
half an apple
the juice from half a squeezed lemon
1 pinch fresh ginger
10 grapes or half a kiwi
5 dried walnuts
1 sheet nori (the kind used for sushi)
4 bunches of spinach
1 bunch parsley
a handful of broccoli
a handful of bean sprouts
half a glass of herbal tea
Preparation
Prepare the vegetables and fruits by removing the core from the apple, the peel from the kiwi, etc.
Put the vegetables in the blender with the herbal tea (cooled) and blend until it becomes a very fine-grained, green and fragrant smoothie.
Garnish with fresh herbs according to your taste preferences.
From https://livsstil.tv2.dk/mad/opskrift/professorens-groenne-energigroed (translation: https://livsstil-tv2-dk.translate.goog/mad/opskrift/professorens-groenne-energigroed?_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=da)
My tips
The taste is pretty neutral (YMMV) but if you substitute ingredients, it may affect the taste - cabbages in particular
I usually double the recipe and have it over two days - I can't be bothered to keep half an apple lying around
I use a tall container with a volume of 1,6L/3.4 pint - that's on the small side for my version
I wouldn't make bigger portions than can be eaten over two days, and unless consumed straight away it must be kept in the fridge - you're risking a bacteria bomb instead of a nice smoothie...
I rarely use lemon, but use a few good slices of ginger (peel the whole chunk, slice and freeze for less fuss)
If you live near an Asian market, they probably have bigger packs of nori. I buy one with 50 sheets - it's *much* cheaper per sheet than the supermarket's price
I skip the parsley (can't be bothered) and buy chopped (see next bullet point) frozen spinach and add to taste
Instead of broccoli (expensive; doesn't last long in the fridge) I buy whatever cabbage is cheapest and use a large handful of it chopped up some (the fibres in cabbage and whole spinach leaves does not play well with my blender - YMMV)
I use a large mug of herbal tea and add psyllium husk for more fibre
In general I substitute/add veggies/fruits if I have something going a bit overripe (buying a load of bananas cheap and freezing them if they go brown before eating: also great for this); if I'm out of grapes, I add raisins ÂŻ\_(ă)_/ÂŻ
IIRC he's a proponent of using organic prooduce. As you can tell from my notes I'm cheap and/or poor cost conscious, so I buy the cheapest. It's up to you :)
I eat this in addition to whatever fruits&vegs I usually have - it's an easy way to up my intake and get some things I don't eat a lot of (e.g. cabbage, spinach)
I make my own beansprouts - but this is already too long, so it's in the next post
*Oluf Borbye Pedersen - from the link:
Intestinal Microbiome Research OP is a leading partner in the EU-Metahit initiative (www.metahit.eu) which delivered the first and second gut microbial gene catalogue of 3.3 and 9.9 mio microbial genes, respectively, from the human intestinal tract. With quantitative metagenomics he and his team demonstrated in a population sample that about a fourth of adults is markedly deficient in gut microbiota diversity. The same individuals were featured by insulin resistance, overweight, dyslipidaemia and proinflammation. OP et al. reported the first quantitative metagenomics study of gut microbiota in type 2 diabetes, prediabetics and women with gestational diabetes and they discovered a new biological fingerprint, gut enterotypes of the human host. In addition, in recent studies of the human gut microbiome, Pedersen and colleagues have teased out drug effects versus disease effects on gut bacteria composition and function. Recently, they reported the first example of gut microbes linked to human insulin resistance. Mechanistically the investigators extended and validated their findings in in rodents. The Pedersen team has done several interventions targeting the human gut microbiome and blood metabolome including the impact of broad-spectrum antibiotics and of dietary gluten content, respectively. Studies that influence dietary and medical practice.
#it's nothing miraculous#but it gives me a shitload of extra f&v#and as mentioned previously:#the guy is nearly 80#and he's damn sharp#and has skin most of us would envy#having eaten it for three-ish years?#it's good for me

How To Start Writing A Book (So Says This Idiot)
Iâve been working on my queer superhero fantasy novel Byoldervine for a few years now, but itâs only been in the last year or so that Iâve really dedicated myself to my writing. Now Iâve gone from a fun few concepts to nearly 50K words and counting. So I figured Iâd share my process to get here
1. Figure out your barebones concept
Before you can begin writing, you obviously need to know what youâre writing. At this point in time it can literally just be something like âA group of friends go on a quest through a magical fantasy world and meet loads of mythical creatures along the wayâ, it doesnât even necessarily need a plot intact. You can be as vague or as specific as you like here, you just need that general idea
2. Figure out your characters
Your characters are the driving forces behind all internal conflict in your story and give your story heart; if you can pick between expanding your plot and expanding your characters, pick the characters. Start figuring out at very least the need-to-know aspects about your characters, such as their motivations and whatâs holding them back from achieving them. We can flesh them out more and more as we go
3. Create the main external conflict
Often this takes the form of the main antagonist, but it can be literally anything from a curse the main character is trying to overcome, a series of misunderstandings, a goal they just donât have the skills to achieve on their own, etc. Whatâs the thing thatâs causing our main character problems they need to overcome?
4. Work out the beginning and end of your story
Where do you want your story to end? Do you want your characters to be living a life of peace and glory as revered heroes after they defeat the villain? Do you want them to be able to return to the life they once had with new friends and stronger powers than ever before? Do you want them to fail and experience the tragedy of their loss? Well if thatâs where you want to end, they canât have all that at the very start of the story, so thatâs something that needs to change during the story. Congratulations, you just created a plot point!
5. Use your plot points to create a general plan
Now that youâve got some ideas of what you want/need to happen during the story, you can make a timeline of these plot points. Say something like âInciting incident, MC leaves villageâ or âMC trapped by BBEGâ or âMC gains new weaponâ or something like that. At this point things are a bit less vague because now youâre starting to see how the plot can go. Donât forget to add things that the characters would go for, too, even if itâs not plot-relevant
6. Plotting
Youâre ready to start plotting by now. For every chapter, write down a general objective of what needs to be achieved within this chapter. Each of these needs to be followed with bullet points of different, smaller plot points within the chapter to achieve this objective. This part I enjoy doing alongside actually writing so I can update it as I go, Iâll usually plot about five chapters ahead and then get to writing until Iâve used them all up
By this point, youâre ready to write! Best of luck and remember that itâs only a first chapter, all it needs to do is exist!

I've been posting on Wattpad since about 2017/2018. I have mixed experiences and feelings about the site. Disclaimer: The only other writing platform I've used is Fictionpress (from like 2011-2017) so it's possible that some of features I will mention below are common on other platforms, they just weren't to FP.
Pros:
I like that it has the ability to personalize your story more by adding a book cover. And as you know people do judge a book by its cover. That's the first thing that attracts readers in, a well designed cover (although that's not always the case.. see: Cons bullet #1)
I like the extent to which it allows readers to interact with your story. Readers can vote on individual chapters, they can leave comments at the end of a chapter or comment on/react to specific lines. I always wondered what people thought about a specific scene or piece of dialogue or exposition in chapters I wrote and now I can get that sort of feedback that I wasn't able to get from previous writing platforms I was a part of.
Similar to any type of social media, you can tag your story with specific things that are relevant to the story and will help readers who are interested in specific topics/tropes/etc find your story when they search for said criteria. So for my story I have tags such as #ya, #young adult #teen fiction #contemporary #friendship #romance etc etc you get the idea.
Cons:
I don't know if this is everyone's experience on the site, but at least from my experience, unless your story has the title "The Billionare's/CEO's/Quarterback's/*insert some hypermasculine role here* Girl" or something along those lines, it can be very hard to find an audience on Wattpad. The site is targeted primarily toward 12-18 year old females and it's kind of become a cesspool for stories featuring very toxic relationships (see: After, Kissing Booth etc...). I very rarely see books of other genres and of...higher quality/greater effort on the author's part...getting much attention/traction. And if they do, it takes years for the author to build that audience. I've been on the site for five years now and despite my story being marked as complete I still don't have a consistent following, just a trickle of interaction (usually not commenting) every month or so. Which leads me to....
Wattpad's algorithm. The bane of every writer's existence. One thing I absolutely hated about my switch over from Fictionpress to Wattpad was the way Wattpad rewards people for updating/posting a new story. On Fictionpress, they had a designated page for new or recently updated stories, which is how I as a reader typically found other stories to read. On Wattpad, there's no such thing. There's this nebulous ranking algorithm that constantly changes on Wattpad whenever someone figures out how it works that determines how your story is discovered. Basically the higher your story is ranked in a certain tag (see: Pros bullet 3) or genre the more likely people are to click on it/check it out. As far as I can tell it's a combination of how often you update (the more often and consistently you update, the more likely your story will rise in it's rank), how often people read your story, how often people vote/comment on your story and a few other kinda meaningless criteria. How do these all come together to raise your ranking? ÂŻ\_(ă)_/ÂŻ. I did not update consistently because I'd write like maybe four chapters a year so my story suffered as a result.
There's no forums or sense of community! There used to be a forum on Wattpad but due to some drama/lack of moderators the forum was taken down. So basically there's no central place for you to interact with other writers or promote your story to potential readers which causes writers to suffer a lot. You basically have to resort to commenting on other people's stories to get your name out there and hoping someone will see you often enough to click on your profile and check out your work as a means of bringing in an audience, which to me sounds like...a lot of work for not a lot of reward (and not a very genuine way of gaining an audience? but I digress).
I don't have any particular advice on how to navigate Wattpad because as you can probably tell it hasn't really worked well for me. Don't get me wrong I have a good number of reads and votes and comments on my stories/chapters that I'm of course grateful for. But I don't feel like I've built a following or connect with my readers the same way I did on Fictionpress, which makes me miss that site a lot more. All I can say is just keep these things in mind when you join and know that being "successful" on the site is a combination of luck and how much effort you're willing to put in to be consistent with your content and finding ways to interact with the overall community.
Do any of you post on Wattpad? Is that even a thing anymore?
If so, tell me how your experience has been. What tips/advice do you have?
#ink replies#hopefully something in this wall o' text was helpful#just to be clear about what I mean in the cons bullet point 1#before anyone misconstrues my words#there's nothing wrong with writing those types of stories (except if they're glorifying abuse/toxicity but that's a different discussion)#TikTok is loaded with stories written by author's whose bread and butter is those types of stories#but with Wattpad my issue is that it only pushes those stories to the forefront#and its harder to find stories of other genres etc#and often times you can tell that people are only writing those stories *because* they know it will get them attention#and not because they actually want to put effort into writing it/developing the characters etc#so I just feel like Wattpad's reward system is very much disadvantaged against people who actually take writing seriously#and want to find people who genuinely connect with their story#and more so promoting and exploiting these types of stories that will make for the next big Netflix franchise that they can profit from#it just doesn't give all writers and stories an equal and fair chance IMO

out of curiosity, is there anything that Tom King has written for/about Batman that you do like?
Nate I'm gonna be so real with you: I like a lot of the spaghetti that King throws at the wall when he's writing. unfortunately you hardly get time to say "hey, that's neat" before he's loaded the spaghetti into a cannon and starts firing it at you at speeds calculated to kill.
an example that I think about absolutely goddamn constantly is King's original character The Help, from the abysmal miniseries Killing Time. The Help starts out as a cool idea: an older, extremely prim killer for hire who prides himself on his professionalism and is less than impressed by the costumed freaks that are just starting to rise to prominence in Batman's early days. he's known and feared by younger criminals, he's prone to critiquing the fighting style of his enemies up to and including offering them pointers, he's aggressively polite, etc. he's fun!
except he can't just be fun, he has to have trained every other famed combatant in the DC universe. yeah, he's better than Canary and the Question and Lady Shiva. oh, and did we mention he knows Ra's? yeah, Ra's actually initially wanted The Help to be his successor, Bruce is just his second pick. King doesn't really do subtlety, you know? he just hamfists his shit in and uses the existing DC lore to prop it up until his story ends up looking like that prokopetz post about how Supernatural ends up being about fighting the devil's more evil cousin Phil because the writers didn't know how to do anything but escalate.
the worst offender by far, TO ME, is his issue of One Bad Day, wherein King decides to take on the incredibly loaded legacy of the Killing Joke and handles it with all the tact of a musk ox by using it as a cheap device to prop up his Hannibal Lecter-esque Riddler. oh, that whole thing with the Gordons? yeah, that wasn't actually the Joker's idea. the Riddler came up with the actual plan, the Joker just carried it out. isn't that scary? isn't that fucked up? don't you want to take the Riddler seriously now? welcome to his twisted mind.
to me it seems like King is a pretty okay ideas guy but can't stop shooting himself in the dick when asked to follow through, which would be funny if the bullets didn't keep ricocheting to hit my favorite characters.

ima go ahead n answer both these at once if that's good w yall.
here's the referenced post for anyone who missed it.
I've posted a LOT about adoption before. feel free to search #adoption, #ethical adoption, #adoptee or #adopted, etc in my tags for those posts. if you can't find them bc Tumblr is shit at searching lmk and I will try to dig em up. I have a Google doc of organized/categorized Tumblr links because of the search function being such a joke
anyway that said. what I meant is that it is sooo obvious to most adoptees from a young age that it's a consumer industry and we are a product for sale. most of us who always knew we were adopted have that horrifying realization very very young, far too young to know how to deal with it. yes I am glad when other people figure this out too but it's a bit irritating for non adoptees to act like this is some mystical wisdom they alone could've uncovered when it's part of the trauma inherent to adoption to realize you were purchased đ€·
I'm not against adoption like some adoptees are, but I could write ESSAYS on my criticisms of the industry and how it SHOULD work. in fact, I have written essay length posts about it in the tags listed above. but ultimately nobody gives a fuck & NOBODY of any political orientation wants to hear that adoption perhaps isn't the utterly selfless flawless silver bullet solution to unwanted kids that everyone treats it as. yet statistically we KNOW most adoptees are extremely damaged by it, the research is there but nobody talks about it. nobody likes you if you talk about it. the walls go up real quick.
one of my favorite things is how adoption seems to be the ONE area that absolutely nobody respects lived material experience about. even loads of leftists/radfems who are always going on and on about the importance of listening to people's real, lived experiences will aggressively talk over us adoptees if we dare have the audacity to critique adoption/the adoption industry or acknowledge that it's fuckin traumatic even for an infant being yanked away from the only stimuli you knew for 9 months and put somewhere where you can't recognize yourself in anyone or anything for the next 18+ years. and that's best case scenario! scenario where they don't abuse you or spend your childhood guilt tripping you because they oh so selflessly took you in when nobody wanted you and now look how difficult you are, crying all the time n shit... just as 1 common experience I know many share from my own life and talking to other adoptees.
but nearly every time we try to talk about this, even if it has nothing to do with criticizing the adoption industry and we are JUST tryna get painful shit off our chest, some non adoptee or 8 is/are gonna jump down our throat (and often even say all the same shit our parents guilted us with as kids lmao)
it's also 1000% a feminist issue bc SO many mothers are forced into adopting out a kid they wanna keep, or adoption being available is used to justify forcing women to give birth instead of aborting an unwanted pregnancy when those women would otherwise choose the latter. not to mention the designer baby shit & the preference for white male babies... and the fact that it's human beings being literally sold as a good. Just because it's legal and isn't outright sex slavery or "forced labor" (tho adopted kids are so often viciously abused and often in those exact ways) doesn't make it right to buy or sell a human being, doesn't make it not human trafficking. & I say this as an adoptee who was ALSO trafficked as a teenager.

Yaakunaj yéetel k'atun (Love and War)- Attuma x Talokanil!Reader
Warnings: Graphic Violence (in the context of war), Predator/Prey Dynamic, Breathplay, Teasing, etc.
Author's Note: Sorry for not writing for so long. Life has been so busy but I promise I'll write more often (gonna open requests soon w/ conditions). Also, who knew the use of the word 'fledgling' could be so erotic? Enjoy!
After finding yet another vibranium detector near Talokan, Namor had ordered his best soldiers to eliminate the source--the CIA mining ship. Once again, he felt like his people were at risk. You were sworn to protect the underground kingdom with your life, and Attuma did as well.
After killing a dozen agents, you surveyed the ongoing carnage from the bridge of the ship. Even with a loaded arsenal, they were no match for you all. Some were drowned. Some were bludgeoned to death. Some were impaled with spears with the precious metal they sought. You caught Attuma decapitating one of the captains who shot him. He then threw the mutilated body over the railing, landing in the ocean below. Holding up the severed head as a trophy, he let out a primal scream to alert the remaining agents of his presence & tell his soldiers to continue the fight. You felt waves of heat pulsate through your body. You had been to many battles with him, but your metaphorical cup of ardor had finally spilled.
This was insanely dangerous, but you wanted his attention. Taking a stray magazine of bullets, you threw it down to him. It clanked loudly against the railing, making up snap his head in your direction. You saw him leap onto the bridge's landing, taking your bait. You sprinted toward the entrance of the heliport and ducked in the shadows. You weren't nearly as elusive as you thought, however. Attuma stared up at you from the stairwell, listening to your racing heartbeat. You stared at the water ahead waiting for him to emerge. Creeping forward, you slid through the railing and headed down the stairs. Suddenly, Attuma snatched you toward him & put his hand around your throat.
"Je'el kĂinsa'al a tu'ux yanikech parado/I could kill you where you stand." He hissed in your ear. Your back was flush against his torso. Attuma was furious at your insolence, but undercurrents of intrigue were present. You nearly compromising the mission just to rile him up was unusual to him--or at least he thought. He saw how you would push yourself beyond for his praises or the longing glances you gave him during training. It was clear that his obliviousness was there to maintain the sanctity of battleânot because those feelings werenât mutual. In just a few swift movements, Attuma had removed all of your gear & undergarments. He admired your figure with hungry eyes. The oceanâs breeze was brisk against your bare skin. You felt his hands move to your hips, squeezing the plush flesh there.
âTs'a a wĂłoli' Ma'ili' ti' u k yilo'ob, tulĂĄakal/Hurry before weâre seen, generalâŠâ You warned, staring back with desperation. âBix a k'ĂĄat, emplumando/As you wish, fledgling.â He purred. You gasped loudly as he hastily slid into you. He held you still to help you acclimate. The tip of his manhood nearly kissed your cervix. You whimpered at the sensation and held on to the nearby railing. Thrusting slowly, Attumaâs eyes fluttered shut & you heard low grunts emitting from him. It had been so long since he had done this & now that it happened so suddenly, he nearly unraveled. Noticing his reactions, you started to move your hips back to meet his movements. He tightened his grip around your hips. You felt your arousal drip down your thigh. The thought of him filling you with his seed was intoxicatingâand you wanted to experience it as soon as possible.
âPaakat in, tulĂĄakal/Look at me, general.â You hummed, seeing his eyes snap open. In this moment, the ongoing war meant absolutely nothing to him. Screwing a promising warrior was a priority. Seeing you like this was a sight to behold. A thin layer of sweat formed over your skin, giving you a dewy glow. Attuma removed your respirator & took a handful of your hair. Suddenly, he thrusted into you with brutal force. You cried out for mercy, but he ignored your pleas. The sound of skin hitting skin filled the shipâs stairwell. Instead of reaching a long-awaited climax, you cycled through countless highs until your legs went numb. The lack of oxygen in your body added to the disorienting pleasure.
His groans turned to animalistic growls. He loved pushing you beyond your limits. He ached for a sweet release and was willing to get it any way possible. Finally, his seed shot into you with hot spurts while he let out yet another primal cry. This one wasnât as angry, however. Notes of his real voice seeped through, signaling delectation. You felt him throb & twitch as his peak subsided. He left a series of fervid kisses along your neck & shoulder. âSerĂĄs juntĂșul nuxi' guerrero/You will make a great warrior.â He whispered into your ear.

. âč Tokrev chara kink hcs đ
Featuring ~ > Manjiro âMikeyâ Sano | Ken âDrakenâ Ryuguji | Sanzu Haruchiyo | Hanma Shuji | Tetta Kisaki
summary & cw! Character Kink Headcanons! (Cursing, Vaginal Sex, Oral male receiving, humiliation, cnc sorta ?, breeding, honestly Hanma as character needs to be a cw, femdom )
âą Manjiro âMikeyâ Sano
Kinks: Dominating, praise, toys.
Mikey loves, and god do I mean LOVES having the sense of dominating you. He likes seeing your eyes roll back as he slams his poor, overstimulated cock into your pussy. Somethings you can even see tears pool at the corners of his eyes.. but gosh, heâll call you things like âHis sweet girlâ , âAngel faceâ etc etc!
Mikey uses it as a way to get your knees weak for him, shoving his cock in your eager mouth and leaving the back of your mouth tasting like his salty precum âMy sweet girl taking this dick so well, yeahâ ? Keep on, and Iâll reward you later. Kayâ ?â And god you canât help but suck harder on his cock tillâ heâs cumming in the back of your throat. Mikey also likes using toys on you, vibrators, and dildos of all sorts! Heâll even use anal toys if you ask nicely.
Heâd be on the edge of the bed, watching your pretty pussy soak itself in its own fluids and your clit throb while the bullet vibrator is taped to it, with the textured dildo he slowly pumps inside you, makes you even more brain dead on pleasure then before!
âą Ken âDrakenâ Ryuguji
Kinks: Choking, Spanking , Brat taming
Draken likes when you act like brat out in public, teasing him so meanly and getting on his nerves. You know youâre done for once you get in the house, with Draken firmly closing the door behind himâ you can feel his presence looking over you.
He presses you up against the wall, his eyebrows furrowed as his large hand wraps around your neck. He leans in close, tone oh so rough âYou like gettinâ on my fuckin nerves in public ? Flipping your skirt like that infront of me, huh ?â His tone low. Once heâd get you in the bedroom, heâd already have your form on his lap.
You could tell he was glaring down on you, eyes piercing in the back of your head as heâs stripped you down to just your undies and bra! âIf you werenât such a goddamn brat, I wouldâve been fuckinâ you a lot sooner.â You know your ass is gonna be sorry, literally! Once Draken gives a firm slap to your ass, he completely blanks out tillâ your sobbing, your pussyâs wet and your ass is sore.
âą Sanzu Haruchiyo
Kinks: Switch, Humiliation, Body Worship
Sanzu likes being beneath you, watching your tits jiggle in his face as you ride his cock tillâ he has pretty tears streaming down his girlish face, his bottom lip quivering âFuck.. o- oh my god..â Heâd groan, his slim thighs probably quaking from the feeling of you on top of him and as he likes saying âtaking advantageâ of him.
bbut on the other hand, Sanzu absolutely loves when hes on the other side of this. Heâs grabbing onto your hair, massaging at your scalp while you take his hard cock in your mouth, âFilthy whore, you like taking dick like this donât chaâ ? How many peoples cockâs have sucked before mine ? â Heâd groan, his head reeling back onto the comfort of the couch , you can see his chest heaving taking in sharp breaths before heâs blowing his load all over your face.
Sanzu likes having you give him head before putting you on his cock ,the feeling of your lips against his thighs gives him shivers up his spineâ god when your sucking and making little marks between his inner thighs? He loses it. And donât even THINK about putting on lipstick before sucking his dick, seeing the lipstick you worn make a smear all âround his cock makes him want to treat you like a dumb whore.
âą Hanma Shuji
Kinks: Size , Breeding , Edging (probably more because heâs a fuckinâ whore ..)
Hanma makes you feel small no matter how much you are in height or weight, his big hands going to rest on the curve of your waist giving a soft rub on your tummy. In bed, heâs looming over you so intimidatingly! His gaze focused on you and your fucked out expression, he gives a smile because heâs a absolute lunatic.
âCanât handle my cock, dollface ? Is it to big for your lilâ body to handle ?â Heâd mock you, continuing to rut his sore cock into you, it was just so warm he couldnât help it. His cum was spilling out of your soaking pussyâ with every stroke. Heâd cum in you for the âth time now, you were on the brink of pleasure but would pull his cock out everytime he seen your eyes roll back..
god, he was such a moron. He canât seem to pull out of your overflowin pussy when heâs cumming but will do whateverso when your about to ??! But afterwards, Hanma would let you squirt all over his tongue as a reward for putting up with him for so long <3
âą Tetta Kisaki
Kinks: Femdom , Pussyjob , Cockwarming
Kisaki always had a power trip, from planning his evil ass plans and going through with them! Yet nobody knows heâs coming home to his mommy at the end of the day, your sweet sweet smile as you tell him to get into bed since youâve been waiting for him all morningâ he obliges quickly!
He doesnât wanna be punished afterall, stripping off his clothes. You come in, dimming the lights as your own clothes were taken off, Kisakiâs cock was already painfully hard and dribbling precum down itself. You straddle his thin thighs, he looked so adorably small beneath you and you can hear him gasp âMommy , please.. ride my cockâ Kisaki would plead with a submissive tone, yet you chuckle and shake your head âAre you asking me, or telling me ? I donât like to be told what to do, dumb slut.â
Youâd say in a harsh tone, oh boy did Kisaki know it all to well. Heâd let out a whine as youâd drag your pussy along his cock, even rubbing your clit against the leaky head. His precum was all over your cunny by now! You heard enough of his pathetic whining, as youâd sink yourself on his cock.
âFuck! H- hnng~â Kisaki would moan, drool was dribbling down the side of his mouth and his cute lilâ nipples were hard. You can feel his pulsating cock being squeezed by your gummy walls, âYou can simply pleasure yourself, Kisaki. Come on, isnât this what you asked for ?â And Kisaki, as the hood boy he was, would do as heâs told. Heâd desperately hump against you, thrusting his pathetic cock inside your pussy tillâ he creamed himself. <3
A/N : inbox is open for asks, requests and other stuff as such! So excited to be writing for Tokrev!! Likes, follows & reblogs are HEAVILY appreciated <33

6 Song Soundtrack Mixtape
Thanks so much for the tag! (spyri and sphinx both tagged me and I tagged you both in the Hexx one soooooo I won't spam you AGAIN).
Rules: If you're tagged, make a new post with links to music and/or lyrics describing the following: 1. An event that defines your character's past 2. How your character sees themselves 3. How others view them 4. Their closest relationship (platonic or romantic) 5. A major fight scene 6. End credits song
Mix: my OC across various games and AUs and worlds <3
1. An event that defines your character's past Nobody's Home
Her feelings she hides Her dreams she can't find
And I couldn't help her I just watched her make The same mistakes again What's wrong, what's wrong now? Too many, too many problems Don't know where she belongs Where she belongs She wants to go home But nobody's home That's where she lies Broken inside With no place to go No place to go To dry her eyes Broken inside [...] And now you can't find What you left behind Be strong, be strong now Too many, too many problems Don't know where she belongs [...]
So, the event I chose for this is coming home after a trip to a house full of nothing but death. This triggers the start of his Rambling Era, as I call it, where this song explains his consuming thoughts. Including telling himself to be strong, hide his feelings, squash his dreams, etc.
2. How your character sees themselves: Whatever It Takes
Whip, whip Run me like a racehorse Hold me like a ripcord Break me down and build me up [âŠ] Whatever it takes 'Cause I love the adrenaline in my veins I do whatever it takes [âŠ] I wanna be invisible Looking at my years like a martyrdom Everybody needs to be a part of 'em Never be enough, I'm the prodigal son I was born to run, I was born for this 'Cause I love how it feels when I break the chains [âŠ] I'm just a product of the system of catastrophe And yet a masterpiece, and yet I'm half diseased And when I am deceased At least I'll go down to the grave and die happily
This song captures the exact balance that Mix walks between being obsessed with himself while also putting himself down. He believes he can do anything, and he can certainly withstand anything.
3. How others view them Bullet with Butterfly Wings
The world is a vampire, sent to drain Secret destroyers, hold you up to the flames And what do I get, for my pain? Betrayed desires, and a piece of the game [...]
Now I'm naked, nothing but an animal But can you fake it, for just one more show? [...]
Tell me I'm the only one Tell me there's no other one [...] And I still believe that I cannot be saved
This song captures his resentment towards the people who took over the town he's from. He's also my rage boy (definitely an animal walking the line between wild and tame), and those who don't pay attention to anything else would absolutely just see this. They also may not realize that he's not in it for what he gets, and he doesn't think he needs to be saved (and if he did would he deserve it?). But hey, he is certainly obvious (when in love) about wanting to feel special. Is he obvious enough though?
5. A major fight scene: Satan Is My Motor
I've got wheels of polished steel I've got tires that grab the road I've got seats that selflessly hold my friends And a trunk that can carry the heaviest of loads I've got a mind that can steer me to your house And a heart that can bring you red flowers My intentions are good and earnest and true But under my hood is internal combustion power
Mix is so not okay. He sees himself as a tool, focusing on his usefulness to the important people in his life, specifically what he must do for them.
So this is what plays in his head as he picks off enemies. He spends his time aiming and shooting calmly as he reflects and focuses on his use and how much he loves his friends. He likes to be calm and focused while he enacts his duty.
He will get them all before any figure out where he is. So it's not a super hype song. Though, I do have an alt hype song for his more rambunctious fight scenes: Bark at the Moon.
6. End credits song: Why Would You Be Loved
It's a lie, the high that you have with love It feels like gold when you hold it [...] I wouldn't say it, but I blame them The bleedin' hearts, the arts and that other stuff All the same motivations will melt away Like snowflakes on a tongue, baby [...] I wouldn't say it, but I blame them [...] Why would you play it all on somethin' as hollow as trust? (Hey) What if you gave it all to find that it wasn't enough? (Hey) What if, under the gaze of all, you come short when the going gets rough? [...] They look for somethin' to be done for those that are most in pain What about me and my achin'? The scales rehung, the breakin' of yoke and chain What about me and my breakin'? And if you ain't for all, how could you try it all, baby? So why, why, why?
This one might seem against who he is, which is why it fits the credits, I think. These are conversations he has with himself. Is he right to be so naive, or is it a waste of time? Is he neglecting himself by constantly looking for love where his own isn't matched? He ultimately chooses to keep hope every single time. He has a strong will that way. But not out of naivete.
I tag: @loveless-nameless-graceless-two @seynne @bite-the-bloody-hand , and you dear Reader!

Bill Kaulitz x Mexicana reader
THIS ONE FOR MY MEXICAN POOKIES AND FOR MEEEEE
When you guys first started dating you really wanted to take him to one of your familyâs carne asadas
He was extremely nervous because youâve told him what your mom use to do to you and your siblings, and because of how much family you have
When you guys got there he said hi to all your family members and once he went to say hi to your mom he was sweating bullets
Your mom looked at him and said âTe miras flaco comĂ© algo mijo!â then she gave him a big ass plate of food
Now that you guys are older and have been together for a while you always get calls from your mom asking when you two will get married
(Now letâs get on to the main reason why I wrote this!)
Youâve always loved dancing
Cumbia, zapateado, bachata, merengue, corridos, norteñas, huapangos, etc
Bill felt bad for not knowing how to dance (and a little jealous because whenever you two went to bailes guys would always ask you to dance, ESPECIALLY for huapangos)
So he started practicing whenever he could but that also meant you were forced to dance too
You didnât mind it though, you thought it was sweet he was trying to learn just for you
When he got better at dancing he was so happy and asked 20 times a day when there would be another baile
When there finally was another one he immediately dragged you to the dance floor
You guys danced for the entire night <3
AAAAHHH GIMME A MAN LIKE BILL THAT WILL DANCE WITH ME! Anyway Iâll probably writing a shit load more of this.

(re)introducing, Bub and Rex! Bounty Hunters A Devil and a Demon-slayer Unlikely Husbands (synopsis under cut!)
Bub and Rex are a Warlock and Familiar bounty-hunter duo. They are Badass husbands who travel town to town, realm to realm, bounty hunting to put cash in their pockets, whiskey in their bellies, and to find a good sturdy bed to fuck on. They are on the run from both their respective pasts, but as long as they have each other, nothing can catch them. REX: Rex is a human warlock who wields a pistol loaded with silver bullets. He wears a silver cross to keep unholy and undead at bay, and carries various silver treated knives for close combat. Finally, he has a silver-threaded whip that he wears at his hip. He is an expert in combat against unholy monsters like demons, undead, vampires. He is also an aspiring demonologist, and while his magic prowess is uncouth, he shows great potential.
BUB: Bub is a devil who wields a golden butcherâs cleaver. He possesses powerful but limited demon magic. Being an offspring of Gluttony, Bubâs midsection can split open into a monstrous mouth that can devour anything. He can also shapeshift for a limited amount of time, and can endure high amounts of pain.
DYNAMIC:
Bub and Rex are fearsome back-to-back badass fighters. Bub is the brawns who deals with any heavy lifting, brawling, intimidating, etc. Rex is the brains, elegance and finesse, twisting and weaving around enemies with cat-like agility, smooth-taking them out of trouble, or sweetening the pot when collecting bounties.
While both men are polar opposites in a lot of their sensibilities, they also share a lot of common ground. Bub is brash, crass, rude and crude. Rex is refined, charming, intelligent and stoic. However, they both love drinking, smoking, gambling, sex, and food. They are liberal with their vices, and both men look forward to a stiff drink and rough sex after a harrowing day of violence and mayhem.
BACKSTORY:
Bub and Rexâs history is a Romeo and Juliet style love story. Lovers from opposing ends of the human versus demon war.Â
Rex was exiled from a community of devout religious demon slayers. Despite hailing from a long lineage of prolific demonslayers and witchunters, he was cast away for his taboo (and truthfully perverse) interest in witchcraft and demon magic.Â
Bub ran away from Hell, uninterested in the power games and politics at play beneath the surface, and more interested in living a life of freedom and adventure, free from political responsibility and obligation. They met guns drawn and blades raised, but have never separated since....
