Hello! I hope you’re doing good! I’m not sure if this has been done yet, but I got an idea for a fluff (possibly a pinch of angst?) scenario!:

Any, all or two of the traffic light trio sillies (Mei, Red Son, MK), with an s/o GN!reader that’s an experienced healer who takes care of them after a tough battle against a monster of your choosing. Maybe they have a heartfelt conversation afterwards, or during the process of patching them up, about getting themselves in danger for the sake of saving the world? 👀

Been thinking a lot about this since s5 lmao. Haven’t fully recovered yet 💀

- It had been a fight with a huge hawk demon, one that MK was pretty confident he could take, especially cause Mei could use her bike to move closer to the threat. Red Son was roped in by circumstance, begrudgingly working with the heroes to defeat the threat. The attack was a surprise, so there wasn't much the Trio was prepared to do. Once it finally ended, they were sufficiently scratched, scuffed, battered, and bruised

- The three had come to you a little hesitantly. They didn't like feeling like they were bothering you, especially because these always ended in some deep conversations about the nature of self-sacrafice and priorities. When you'd opened your door to the three and allowed them in without many questions, they filed in, MK and Mei attempting lighthearted jokes right off the bat to diffuse tension

- MK, for as much as he gets hurt, sucks at getting patched up. He hisses and writhes if the topical medicine stings, yelping and whining at the unpleasant sensations. He's a very dramatic patient, but a very talkative one as well

- He tells you about the fight, reassuring you that he already remembers the conversations you'd both had before about these things. He's not exactly happy having to sit still while getting bandaids and bandages applied, but he's obviously still proud of his victory

- He's more quiet when you're closer, focusing on the feeling of your hands on his skin, the gentle and reliable touch providing a sense of safety and warmth. He feels his heart swell seeing the determined expression you have while working, and little flutters when you occasionally banter back. This routine between you was familiar, it was comforting. He felt safe under your care

- Mei, meanwhile, is also a pretty passionate speaker, but much less of a whiner than MK. Her problems are mostly just squirming from being hyperactive and wound up on adrenaline, frequently trying to hop off of your workbench to demonstrate a move

- Your gentle chastising with Mei is unique, specifically taking time to address how she feels being on the sideline of missions these days, and having to hold things together for MK most of the time. She feels like she can have that full honesty with you, your complete confidentiality and understanding helping to hold her together

- She flirts with you more openly than the other two. Any time you're close enough, she points out something about your face to compliment. She offers to help you do small things, asking questions about your job and what kinda stuff you see outside of the Monkey Crew

- Red Son, like the others, is a talker. His ramblings are closer to ranting and raving, and outside of waving his arms or doing grand dramatic gestures, he's more still than the other two

- Conversations about his family are what come up most often, when he isn't bragging about his villainy or latest attacks on the town. More recently he's been talking a lot about working as a food vendor. It's nice to see him happy about something that doesn't come from malicious intent

- He allows himself to show past his anger and be more vulnerable with you. He's a hint softer, a little more willing to be honest and open with you. He loves your willingness to do this for them, and he tells you frequently how much he admires you and your work

- The three usually stick around for a few hours after each appointment, talking with you and telling you about everything you my have missed in their lives. They treasure their individual time with you, and Mei and MK especially try to hype you up all the time to show their thanks

- They invite you out every once in a while to have some hangouts without medicine or injury in the picture. They introduce you as a vital member of the team to others and get protective of you during battles

Headcanons under the cut!

RED SON:

☆ tries his best to keep you actually focused on the task at hand- doesn't let you goof off, but will allow consistent breaks

☆ but alas, once you've asked him a single question he'll derail the conversation twenty times over until he's completely off-topic and explaining something not even in your curriculum

☆ not that you mind- it's nice seeing him get passionate over topics he's into

☆ he tends to get absorbed into whatever he's working on, so study dates are a good way to get him to eat and drink water regularly alongside you

☆ I headcanon him as autistic, so parallel play is one of his favorite things! Enjoys being in your company while you each do your own seperate thing

☆ gets very easily frustrated if you're studying something not in his field of expertise [think molecular biology, literature, world geography] and you ask for his help only for him to not understand the question

☆ now it's your turn to try and keep him focused instead of going on a long-winded rant about how he's very smart and knowledgeable and this book is actually stupid and also he's-

MEI:

☆ you get a surprising amount of work done when you're with her!

☆ Mei's pretty good at balancing work and fun- she knows when to leave you be so you can focus on your studies, and when to strike up a conversation so you don't get too bored or stressed out

☆ she has a study date playlist specifically for the both of you that she updates frequently- she tries to keep her rock/metal songs out of it so it doesn't startle you and break your attention

☆ she's very horrible at explaining things- you ask her to help you with a question and although she understands the concept, she uses such convoluted metaphors and analogies that leave you more confused than before

☆ she likes holding your hand or sitting in your lap while you both work- just touching you in some way

☆ comes up with funny abbreviations for things you have to memorise

☆ gives you little pecks/kisses every once in a while, and near the end of your date when you're both burnt out, she'll give you a sleepy cuddle session while flipping through your flash cards

MK:

☆ where do I even start

☆ half of it is spent trying to wrangle MK into his desk, and the other half is spent trying to get him to open his books

☆ has a surprising amount of niche hyper-specific knowledge about various subjects, but if you ask him about the basics his mind'll blank

☆ tries his best to make the environment as comfortable for you as possible- utensils all set, cushions for your back, snacks and drinks on the table, reminders to stretch so your back doesn't hurt

☆ playing loud music tends to help him settle down and get some work done- you have to be holding his hand so he doesn't fidget around, though

☆ doodles on your notebooks/sticky-notes, usually small sketches of you or of himself giving you a thumbs up, flowers, hearts, little messages about how you're doing super well and you're super smart. It's really endearing and helps keep your morale up

☆ his attention span is very very low [I headcanon him as having ADHD], so he has to take multiple breaks in between. If you're still working while his mind is un-focused he'll braid your hair to keep his hands busy

RED SON + MEI + MK:

☆ yeah, you're not getting anything done today

☆ Mei and Mk together are a force to be reckoned with- and Red Son only adds fuel to the fire

☆ Mei and Mk'll make stupid jokes, Red Son'll tell them to shut up so he can focus, they'll make fun of him, he'll reply with a defensive and louder insult, and the cycle repeats

☆ if you ask a question, everyone'll be fighting to try and take a look at your book and help

☆ cue ensuing argument that lasts well into 20 minutes because all of them have a different answer

☆ upon googling it, you tell them that they're all wrong, actually

☆ even though you end up not doing anything, it's still a lot of fun- they're moreso just normal hangouts with the false advertisement of being productive

☆ the only time you get any work done with them is if it's the night before finals and you have to cram- the stress radiating off of you keeps their mouths shut

Then things evolved and here you were dating!

She visits you more often than you visit her, mostly because his father likes to joke they took after him

PIF and DBK both approve of this btw. They would be hypocrites not to.

Gifts and trinkets they made decorate your walls, however they are more mystical in nature

Loves loves loves when you send gifts back. Likes the the little swans you make to actually fly down to him the most

Dates consist of you guys walking the celestial heavens all day any day

Letters travel back and forth between you two a lot because yall are both pretty busy

What you don’t know is that they save all of the letters in order to craft you a swan of your own made up of the love he has for you

Loves doing your hair. Trying out different hairstyles is so fun.

Gets you a phone. Then sends you songs that remind her of you. You have so many playlists from her

Teaches you hand to hand combat with weapons because you never know when you need it

Loves hanging you off her arm and bragging how she bagged a “goddess”

Monkey king - knows a few dances but will only do it in private intimate times. (Other than this time because he was NOOOT himself)

Tang - yeah he knows a few, and he might dance here and there if he felt like it.

you like to think it's because she's part dragon

I headcanon that because of his powers, Redson runs warm

the gecko loves to climb on her and just bask because he's cold-blooded

at first, Redson was confused and even took a small offense but they've gotten used to it

the gecko doesn't like him at first and thinks he isn't good enough for you but warms up to him over time

Redson makes you happy and the gecko approves anyone that makes his owner happy

Redson is a bit more neutral on the gecko and lizard thing, but is willing to listen to you talk about it like how you listen to him talk about his inventions

MK

he likes to hear you talk about lizards and all the different kinds of them

it's like how you listen to him talk about training with monkey king or him blabbering to you about the latest Monkey Cop season or movie coming out

your gecko likes him enough, he approves of the relationship at least, but he won't climb on MK or anything

it's very sweet to see him interact with the gecko though. MK tries his best to be his friend

he is the only one you trust with the gecko if you need to travel somewhere

much like Mei, he tries to get the gecko to look away if you're both being lovey-dovey. but he thinks the gecko is trying to interrupt on purpose

Honey you will not have to lift a single finger while you're sick. Redson is especially attentive in making sure you're resting and not trying to strain yourself.

Mei is the one who helps make food and what not for you. She notes your favorite type of soup, juice, fruits and veg, so that way you can get healthy and it'll taste good.

MK keeps you entertained! He plays games with you(so do the others, but he's the most likely to want to distract you from how much it sucks being sick), watches cartoons with you, etc.

Redson and MK are the ones convincing you to take the medicine. They know it tastes bad, but if you don't do it, you'll be sick for longer. Mei is the neutral party here, sometimes jokingly assisting you in getting away from them and sometimes scooping you up so you can get caught by them. It's a gamble every time!

With masks on, they all cuddle you. You're a comfy blanket burrito and they're all around you as you guys watch a movie!

They feel bad you can't go do the things you want, like go to the park and stuff, but they also know it's for the best you're at home and not getting other people sick.

They don't really understand why you like it so much, it's just rain! A bunch of water falling from the clouds. Infact, he kinda hates the rain, it gets him wet, his clothes will start sticking to his skin, and it's cold.

But then he sees you admiring it with this sparkle in your eye and suddenly he hates the rain a little less. They'll admit, it is kinda pretty watching the rain.

It doesn't matter how much they love you though, you will never get him to play in the rain. He wants to stay warm and dry. The only time they'll actually go out with you in the rain is if they have a umbrella.

Redson watched as you played in the rain as he smiled to himself. They didn't exactly understand how you could be so excited about something as simple as rain but if it meant he got to see you happy then he guessed it was worth standing in the rain for you, albeit with an umbrella, of course.

You approached them with the big grin on your face, you started to ramble to him about how pretty the rain is, how you wished the weather was always like this, and so on. Your rambling was interrupted as you sneezed, your nose had turned the slightest bit red. That's when Redson knew that it was time to go back inside, "Come on, [Name]" He said with an eye roll as he dragged you back in.

He would always take care of you whenever you got sick. He'll complain while doing so but you know he cares.

You managed to convince ONCE to join you to play in the rain, he hated it, you were both sick for a week. They scolded you so much during that.

On the plus side, if you stay inside while it's raining, you now have a personal heater. Whenever it gets too cold, you could just cuddle up next to Redson.

MEI

She's not really much of a rain lover either but she still joins you when you go out to play in the rain, she may get soaking wet but it's worth seeing you so happy.

Unlike Redson, Mei had danced with you in the rain before. Was it a slow dance? Nope. Was the music soft or endearing? Nah. Was it still romantic nonetheless? Yes, absolutely.

You twirled as you jumped in a puddle of water, the brown-ish gray liquid splashed, staining your clothes. Pop music played in the background, you took your girlfriend's hand in your's as you danced proudly with her. You and Mei weren't exactly what you'd call professional dancers but it was still fun, even with the rain getting you both wet.

Mei looked at you with the biggest grin ever, her eyes softening. This was.... perfect. Water dripped from your wet hair and stained clothes, the rain droplets on your skin glistened in a way that made you look even more beautiful. She bursted out in laughter— not because something was funny, but because in that moment, with you stood in front of her dancing your heart out in the rain, she couldn't be more happier...

Mei has a really good immune system so she didn't really get sick, maybe a small cough but that was it, however, you were very sick. She took care of you the whole time.

Other than dancing in the rain, you've also played tag with her (Yes, it did result in one of you guys tripping and getting injured). It was fun!

If you decide not to go out in the rain, she'll probably plan an indoors activity or something.

One time, you guys had a sleepover where you watched a bunch of horror movies on a rainy day (it was thundering so you couldn't go outside). Both of you got nightmares and the thunder and lightning outside was definitely not helping.

It ended up with you and Mei cuddling each other, both wide awake because y'all were scared.

MK

He doesn't love it but he doesn't hate the rain either, he thinks the rain is calming.

Out of the three, he is the most reluctant on going out in the rain. He has a bad immune system and he's not really keen on getting sick.

Only time he'll go out in the rain is if it's just light rain.

MK stood beside you, light drops of rain pelted down at his skin and clothing, the fabric becoming slightly damp. A cool breeze passes through you as you rubbed your arm to create some sort of warmth. MK noticed this, he took off the jacket he wore and handed it to you. "Here, this'll keep you warm." He smiled at you. You hesitantly took the jacket out of his hands and put it on. "Thanks." You gave him a sheepish grin, rubbing the back of your neck.

Both of you chatted with each other for a while, just standing there as light pitter patters of water droplets rained down from the sky, that was until the rain suddenly became very strong. You and MK panicked, both staggering to run back to the apartment. It took a few minutes to get there, you both stood by the front door of the apartment breathless from all the running, the heavy rain had drenched both of you from head to toe. The carpet you both stood on was now soaking wet. MK chuckled nervously, knowing full well that he'll get sick.

And he was right, he did get sick. Luckily, you were there to take care of him. (Even though you were also sick but it wasn't as bad as MK's, he had such a high fever) You both binge watched a ton of movies while you were both sick.

After that incident, you never took MK out in the rain. Sometimes, you still go out in the rain without him and he gets pouty because he can't spend time with you.

- Mei brings you snacks and drinks to every performance, always keeping up with you during practices to make sure you're not overdoing it and that you won't get burnt out

- They're 100,000% your biggest fans and they refuse to let anyone think otherwise. They listen to every song and tried their best to memorize every lyric you make

- They absolutely swarm you after every performance and practice, clamoring to talk about how good you were and how proud they are

- Red Son and MK absolutely offer to be bodyguards in case you ever need them, both wanting to follow you around and protect you just in case. They started researching stories about famous life and might have gotten a little paranoid when hearing all the scary tales

Slight season 3 spoilers!!

*So some context. Lady bone demon has taken over the gang got stranded for a bit and the DBK family saved them. You were injured very badly in a fight prior and getting stranded nearly made your condition critical. *

Thankfully Red Son has a few healing spells up his sleeve and when the rest of the gang has to go they decide to leave you with Red Son until you are healed fully.

Now about you; you have magic and you can heal yourself but you have to be conscious and you sing to concentrate. Anyway onto the story!

"You're not eating." Red Son mentioned annoyedly. "What's the matter? Is it too spicy for your pathetic peasant taste buds?"

Your shroud of sadness dissipated at the accusation and you looked up at him.

"What? No! I can definitely handle any amount of spice you could conjure."

Red Son folded his arms with a huff.

"Is that so? Then why aren't you eating?"

You paused and stared down at your food. You knew it would taste amazing as Red Son had an undeniable talent for cooking despite his obsession with spice. But being left here had been rough. You'd thought you were a valued member of the team, so why had you been abandoned? You knew why, but it hurt even so.

"I....I just miss them." You mumbled slouching against your seat.

Red Son's expression softened and his arms fell back to his sides.

"Oh...I see."

An uncomfortable silence filled the space between you. To keep yourself occupied, you started to rearrange your food on your plate with your chopsticks.

You half expected Red Son to lose his temper soon and berate you for being weak. But each time you glanced up his expression held worry and he was clearly thinking to himself.

"Well the more you eat the faster you will heal. Your body needs nourishment in order to repair itself." Red Son informed you firmly.

You only shrugged.

"Alright then-" Red Son walked over to you, determination etched over his features. "Let's make a deal."

You rose an intrigued brow.

"Isn't it stupid to make deals with demons?"

Red Son waved a dismissive hand.

"Only if you are an idiot. Now, if you CAN truly handle the spice as you say-" Red Son leaned on the table with a hand. "Then I'll help you send a message to that dragon-horse girl."

You perked up with an excited grin.

"Really?!"

Red Son grew a smirk and gave a nod.

"But if you can't then you have to practice your healing magic for atleast an hour."

Your cheeks flared red.

Healing magic required you to sing, it was how you focused and Red Son knew it. Now that you considered it everytime before when you used healing magic you'd noticed Red Son lingering near your door. That's when it clicked. He enjoyed your voice.

"So you can listen in?" You asked with a smirk.

Now it was Red Son's turn to blush. His cheeks flared red and his hair exploded into flames.

You couldn't help but giggle at the reaction.

"Awww!" You cooed teasingly.

"Silence peasant!" Red Son shouted his face burning a darker shade of crimson.

You decided to give him a little mercy and move on.

"You're on." You stated and started to eat. The food was incredibly spicy but your magic dulled the effects.

Red Son watched with a shocked look before his lips curled upwards into a grin.

You knew he was proud of himself but you decided that was alright since he seemed content. And besides his previous blush had been a definite victory in your book.

You finished your meal without so much as a flinch and although Red Son seemed disappointed in you winning the deal, he seemed genuinely pleased that you were happy.

He escorted you to an odd chamber that held several markings on the floor. By using his magic he was able to set up a telepathic link between you and Mai.

He walked away as your conversation began and leaned against the doorway on his shoulder. The gang was doing well and in decent spirits. They were ecstatic to see that you were up and about and wished you a fast recovery. But before long the conversation ended. As it came to a close the loneliness sunk back in. You missed everyone even more somehow.

Red Son must have noticed, because he stood straight as you started to walk past him. He held up a hand and you paused next to him.

"You look pale." Red Son pointed out his brows drawing close together.

"Do I?" You mumbled offhandedly.

"Perhaps you should rest." Red Son suggested dropping his hand.

You started to sway on your feet a bit as an unbearable heat exploded in your head. Then, your knees buckled under you.

In a flash Red Son caught you with an arm around your lower back. As he pulled you up you were pressed against his chest.

Your cheeks went crimson while Red Son adjusted his hold, pulling you into a bridal style position.

"W-what are you doing?" You muttered weakly as Red Son walked towards your room.

"What does it look like I'm doing? I'm taking you to your room. You overexerted yourself." Red Son's tone sounded scolding but his hold was gentle.

"Or your cooking poisoned me." You mumbled sarcastically.

Red Son scoffed.

"If I wished you dead, you already would be."

You shrugged and leaned against him tiredly.

"I guess."

Red Son scoffed again as your eyes closed slowly. And just before you slipped into unconscious you heard him mutter,
