"What do you mean by that, Monkey King?" MK asked, turning from where he'd been gawking at the rows of bleachers that made up the Megapolis Mega Stadium.

The Monkey King was staring off to the side, arms crossed. It didn't look like he had meant MK to hear it, but he had heard it nonetheless. Instead of calling out to him a second time, MK followed his mentor's gaze, down to the carpeted stage.

The stage lights above were on. They weren't supposed to be-- there weren't supposed to be here at all, but MK had mentioned that he wasn't able to save up enough to be able to attend the Monkey King's upcoming concert, so the Monkey King took that as a cue to bring MK to the stage after hours. MK didn't really have a lot of say in the matter-- with the Monkey King wrapping his tail around his midsection and speeding them to the venue on his nimbus. He wasn't complaining, though. It was pretty cool.

Monkey King had opened quite a few of the lights to show MK the stage in its full glory, and MK could almost imagine performing on the wide stage and wider stadium. It felt ironically claustrophobic, but MK's excitement outweighed whatever else he was feeling. Without the bells and whistles of a performance, though, the lights felt harsh and cold, like everyone was eyeing the him, waiting for him to mess up. The shadows they cast were long and sharp, stretching out of their reach.

Shadows that reminded MK too much of a recent encounter with a certain macaque.

The Monkey King seemed to interpret the motionless shadow differently, though.

Me and my super talented friend @camilieroart had some fun reanimating a Lego Monkie Kid clip (season 5, episode 1) with different character designs! It was a fun exercise and I learned a lot 👍!

We both did a bit of everything but I mostly did the keyframes and @camilieroart did the in-betweens. Lip-synching was a team effort and it was hell ✨

Wukong went a ''little'' overprotective mode during a fight. Good thing MK was there to calm him down.

Wukong acts like a monkey in his war form and u are not taking that from me!
