God damn. Like, I can’t even imagine how much that must hurt/sting.

Even though it was, at the time, somewhat incidental on Wukong’s part. Imagine just baring your soul, your true self, your entire being to your significant other, only for them to go: “Ew, gross.” And then run away.

Like, holy shit! No wonder he has trust issues. If that happened to me I’d probably never want to show my face in public again. Let alone try to make friends with others.

I highly doubt Macaque truly understands just how much he hurt Wukong that day. And I honestly don’t know if Wukong could find the words to articulate his feelings even if he wanted to.

But imagine a scenario where Wukong is forced to use his kaiju form for whatever reason. And as he’s wrecking shop, he notices Macaque on the sidelines just scaring at him and his form mesmerized. That would be like a punch in the face and/or gut. Because the first time he entered this form Macaque was terrified and ran away, and now he’s suddenly enamored with it?! Is he serious?!

And it wasn't that Macaque had been disgusted or truly horrified by Wukong's Kaiju - but in the moment he had fled with fear like many of their people. Like if you just saw someone burst into flames. Survival instinct activated before his brain did.

But the damage was done.

And despite how much these two love poetry, they're pretty bad at articulating how they feel to one another.

I feel that Wukong would *only* activate his Kaiju again if there was a threat so big that they needed that intimaidation factor.

Wukong goes full three-headed, six-armed, being made of sunlight on the threat. Looks down and there's Macaque with a look in his eyes... one that Wukong knows well.

Why now!? When his like this!?!

Afterwards some soft words are exchanged.

Macaque: "I had been afraid back then Wukong. I had no idea what had happened when you first transformed. I just... ran." Wukong: "I know. When I saw you and all of the monkeys flee from me I..." (*hides face in knees and arms*) Macaque: "It... in the aftermath of it all, when I realised it was truly you all I could think "By the Gods he's sublime". You turned yourself into a moving sun to fend for your people. And I had... I had run from it. Ran from the deepest manifestation of You. I don't think I could ever apologise for that." Wukong, raises tear-stricken face: "Why didn't you ever tell me?" Macaque, stumbling: "I... I felt like I had no words for it. Even though I threw the worst kind at you under the mountain, I lacked the thought to express how I truly felt afterwards. I guess I forget that not everyone can hear everything. And that even though I could Hear , I hadn't thought to Listen." Wukong: "If... if we were both to transform, right now, would you stay?" Macaque: "I will. On the Enlightened One's name I will stay. I won't run." Wukong: (*silently, his body begins to unfurl into it's Kaiju form. Filling up nearly most of Water Curtain Cave. Each set of red-gold eyes look at Macaque with worry*) Macaque, amazed smile spreading across his face: "Beautiful." Macaque: (*transforms fully into his own smokey kaiju, barely a third the size of Wukong*) (*Both monkeys nuzzle against one another as they would when they were regular sized. Shadow and Light mixing into one another*) Kaiju!Macaque, voice many octaves deeper: "B e a u t i f u l..."

All three of Wukong's Kaiju-form faces blush.

Their sappy rekindling is only interrupted when MK walks in and excitedly declares "MONKEY KING KAIJU!!!!" before transforming into his own - the scruffy, three-tailed, yellow starlight jumping into the middle of the pair like a child demanding a cuddle.

So we been DMing. And thought the greater group would like this odea I had.

FFM is in a volcanic ring, so it goes to show that it's likely an active volcano as well. What if the first time MK sees Wukong's kaiju form is due to an impending eruption?

It was a beautiful day put when MK and Wukong were having a training session when the mountains shook and trembled, interrupting the two monkeys as the play fought. MK was confused about the matter, but shrug it off thinking he and Wukong had been too rough and caused the tremors. It certainly hadn't been the first time.

Wukong, who is a monkey born of the earth and knows the mountain better than anyone else, knows better.

He immediately cuts the training short and tells MK to get off the mountain. All training is canceled until further notice, and he is to stay clear of the place unless instructed otherwise. That tremor was the first warning sign of an impending eruption, and it was a large one, too.

MK had gone home that day confused, wondering why his mentor had suddenly kicked him off the mountain. When he tells his friends, he can't even answer why Wukong had done so as he had been so desperate to get MK to safety the king had forgotten to tell him what the problem even was! This will lead to a problem when the eruption happens, because the whole group wasn't going to let MK be kicked fork training without an answer and they decided to go confront Wukong, not realizing they were stepping foot on an active volcano within hours of a Cesuvius level eruption

Wukong goes full "General-King-Mode" during this time. He can't risk his subjects (demonic and wild) or his beloved island from getting hurt in the eruption.

Wukong breathes steady but nervous, all things are going to plan. The volcanic ring around FFM isn't just a useful security measure - but also evidence of previous redirected eruptions. The danger is ultimately caused by heat and gas being under pressure beneath the earth. Normally all Wukong has to do is punch a hole in the magma chamber every so often to "let off steam".

He calls upon begrudging allies like Macaque (using his portals to evacuate the monkeys) and Iron Fan (to redirect the poisonous fumes). Red Son and DBK are even involved since they are super-heat resistant (DBK literally walks through a waterfall of lava with dinner during "The First Ring") and can help punch holes into the crust to help ease the pressure beneath the earth. Royal sea dragons like Ao Guang are on call to minimize any tidal waves caused in the eruption's wake.

It's a mutual understanding between the immortals. Wukong never wants devastation like The Burning to ever happen again.

He can't let innocent people be hurt by-

MK, waving from Sandys' ship: "Hi Monkey King!! Wukong, furious with worry: "I thought I told you to go home!" MK: "I did go home! And me and the guys are worried why you sent me away like that? If that earthquake was sign of something bigger then we could help!" Mei: "Yeah! And my parents got weird and flew off after the earthquake too! We shouldn't be kept in the dark like this!" Wukong: "Guys, listen very, very carefully; I sent MK home so suddenly because The Island is About to BLOW!!" The Noodle Gang, looking furiously at MK: "WHAT!?" MK, wincing with realisation: "Oooooo... I don't think we can help with that." Wukong, eyes glowing red: "YA THINK!?"

Whilst Wukong is partially to blame for not explaining himself clearly, he isn't blamed for his sheer worry. This isn't some tangible enemy he could defeat, but Nature itself.

Eventually Wukong feels this terrible pit in his stomach. Like his heart is about to burst out of his chest.

Huaguoshan itself is about to blow.

And all his friends are in its' path.

With a Heaven-shaking roar he activates his War Form.

Macaque activates his own, forcing the entirety of the Noodle Gang through one of his portals (boat included) a safe distance from the island. In the shadow's eyes is no longer fear as he once felt towards his mate's form, but adoration.

Wukong plunges to the bottom of the sea beneath the island chain, digging through the silt and rock until he reaches the mantle. With each new punch he releases a new viscous explosion of magma that violently shoots to the surface like an underwater bomb. But with each new punch, the pressure beneath the island itself lessens.

He feels no pain from the heat - it's not comparable to the True Fire he felt within the Furnace.

Around him miles away in all four cardinal directions, sea dragons (including the Ao-Long couple) come to his aid; redirecting the waves away from the cities and islands that would be swept away in the tide.

Above the waves, Iron Fan gets to work fanning the fires and clouds of poisonous sulphur away from the island, a skill she perfected from protecting her home in the Flaming Mountains. (Tang in particular squees at see her in action, followed soon by PIF's own husband).

DBK and Red Son are running along the existing volcanic ring - destroying the old chimneys and opening new channels in the hardened basalt to ease the load off of the King's shoulders. Red Son's fiery mane even seems to be increasing in volume the longer they work to release the heat.

Soon it seems like the ring of fire has been built from the mantle-up.

The Gang are watching the whole thing with amazement. Depending on what happens in between, they may actually try and help the Demon Bull fam with their efforts.

Mei gets a crash course in her own sea-dragon abilities when she has to direct the waves away from Sandy's boat. Her and Red Son laugh, teasing that for a sea dragon, she's more familiar with flames than water!

Pigsy might not be able to withstand the heat - but the indestructible, size altering rake he inherited can! He slingshots it towards DBK's waiting hand - the nine teeth of the rake making nine times the amount of new chimneys in the mantle.

MK is tempted to follow the Monkey King below the waves, but the gentle hand of Sandy (and the not-so-gentle hand of Macaque's kaiju form) stop him from leaving the ship.

As the tremors quiet and the spouts become less frequent, the peak of Huaguoshan seems to "sneeze", and settles back to normalcy as if no great danger was a foot.

After many tense minutes, the Monkey King emerges from the sea - cloaked in salt and lava like he was born from the core of the earth itself.

Macaque makes an appreciative growling sound before slinking his way through the water to greet his King.

All three face of the King are confused. Confused and afraid. Not because his mission failed, far from it.

But because he honestly didn't expect the reaction of his allies;

MK: "MONKEY KING!! YOU LOOK AMAZING!!!" Mei, emerges from the waves: "WE ROCKED!!" Red Son, victory-hugging his parents: "We certainly did rock!" Tang: (*fainted from fanboy-ing too hard*) Pigsy, catching Tang: "YOU DID GREAT, KING!!" Sandy, softer shouts: "I don't think anyone else could have done that!"

Wukong is so taken aback. They... aren't afraid of him??

Each face of the King blushes beneath the yellow-orange glow as the cheers fail to cease. The Demon Bull couple applauding their sworn brother's courage to let his inner self free after so long.

Macaque sidles up to his King. The Shadow's bandage-like tendrils examining Wukong's golden body for injuries or burns. His soft but deep voice whispering into his mates' now-matching six ears.

a/n: @purpleqilinwrites hewwoo kaija my beloved tysm for participating !! my apologies for taking so long to get to your orders but i hope they are to your liking (lmk if there's anything you'd like me to change!) <3 andd here’s your slice two !

piles of rubble and cracked buildings surround him, the kaiju corpses littered around now huddled by a throng of workers from the monster sweeper inc. hoshina barely spares a glance over the dead monsters as he flicks both of his swords in a quick swipe in the air, splashes of blood splattering onto the concrete below as he cleans his blades as efficiently as he could.

grabbing his coat from the vehicle he’d taken to get to his post, he takes a peek over his shoulder when a series of faint footsteps approaches from behind. “vice-captain hoshina! i’m here to report–” kafka starts, but hoshina brushes him off with a wave of his hand. “direct all reports to any of your platoon leaders. i have somewhere else to be.”

with no further clarification, hoshina immediately sets off, leaving behind a jaw-slacked kafka and a confused reno tottering behind him. they throw a simultaneous glance at each other, wordlessly questioning each other about their superior’s behavior.

“and there he goes,” nakanoshima’s voice catches their attention. when she’s asked for the reason, all kafka and reno received is a shrug of her shoulders and a muse of “he’s a man in love. what else do you expect?” as if it’s an explanation enough.

and hoshina is, indeed, a man in love and a man on a mission. one that doesn’t include taking out dangerous beasts, but instead facing all his exhaustion head on just so he could go to you. combat suit still in operation, he makes good use of its power to hop over the buildings to the next, heading straight to that quaint little place he knew where you’d be.

the corner of his lips quirk up when he remembers the text you’d sent him prior to the mission. ‘heard your mission is in xx city. if things go haywire, i’ll be nearby to clock in asap just lmk :)’. always ready to help even when you’re off duty; one of the many things hoshina loved about you. he amusedly shakes his head at the thought.

as the mission retains minimal damage, the surrounding towns are thankfully unaffected by the destruction. the smooth cobblestone path thuds softly underneath his feet when hoshina lands in the alley, glad that your location isn’t that far from his. he pulls on the coat over his form, shoulders flexing from the movement as he rounds the corner.

even from the outside of the shop, he could already smell the roasted beans and sweet pastries. hoshina inhales deep, taking in the delightful scent before he cranes his head here and there, eyes roving over the bustling crowd until his amaranthine hues finally settle on what he’d been searching for.

and much like a heartfelt homecoming, a wholesome reunion, or like how the sand meets the shore, how the sun touches the horizon, how the morning light kisses the sheer curtains, how the coffee swirls in warm frothy milk; the familiarity of it all overwhelms him.

you stand there, all beauty and wonder, stealing hoshina’s breath and rendering him speechless as he stops in his tracks for a moment. before you can draw in a puff of breath, he is already marching towards you, closing the distance with purposeful steps.

“hi,” eyes widening slightly in surprise, you breathe out a small chuckle as you look up at him. hoshina mirrors your smile, soft and affectionate as he digs his hands into the pockets of his uniform. “hi.”

you absently lick your bottom lip, though you do notice the way his gaze flickers down to the action for a split second. taking a few glances around, you wonder if any of his officers might somehow emerge from thin air. “aren’t you supposed to be…” forehead creasing, you shrug lightheartedly, “i don’t know. slaying kaiju or something?”

“the operation just ended, sweetheart.” he beams, and his adorable little fangs make their appearance. your eyebrows raise high at his answer. “... but you’re here.” you state, trying to decipher why he’s standing in front of your very eyes, still in his combat uniform (which has people glancing ever so often) rather than reporting to his captain back at base, or freshening up at home.

“but i’m here,” he parrots, watching in interest at the way your expression unfolds. hoshina’s grin grows at your confusion, so wide and cheery that your hands itch to reach up and pinch his cheeks from endearment. instead, you wring your hands behind your back to fidget on them secretly.

the swordsman notices the lack of a plastic cup in your grasp. he takes a quick look at the coffee shop the two of you had been standing in front of before turning back to you, “ya had lunch yet?”

“nope.” you simply reply.

he shifts on the balls of his feet, directing a thumb towards the shop, “... wanna grab somethin’ together?”

a second of silence goes by. and then a laugh breaks out, bubbling from the very back of your throat as you let the mirth freely flow out of you. “soshiro, are you really asking me out right now?”

hoshina bites down on his own smile and lifts a shoulder, “well, is it working on ya?” you shake your head in response, still coming down from your giggles, “i can’t believe you.”

“you love me anyway,” he tilts his head, violet strands softly swaying from the movement. you let out a contented hum, a hand stretching out to brush his hair away from his eyes.

the afternoon sun gleams down on the two of you, but the heat from your little touch burns brighter than anything hoshina has ever felt. he thrives on it, craves it. his skin tingles where it made contact with yours, and his heart races when the sunlight catches on the metal band surrounding your ring finger.

“i do love you,” you agree with a dreamy sigh. “in fact, i’ll love you even more if you make good on your words and buy me a coffee right now, husband.”

oh don’t he love the sound of that label coming out of your lips. perhaps he should call you his wife more often now…

The rubber duck method is: when making something by yourself you may get stuck/stressed out because you can’t find a solution to a problem. Have a rubber duck on your desk just so you can verbally explain your problem, which could help you solve it by actually hearing it out loud. But a side effect of this is now Red Son will talk to himself while he works, even if it does help it still freaks his parents out hearing him mumbling to himself when they pass his room. Just something I learned recently when watching a video about writing a characters backstory 👍 I thought you might like this too! Bye <3

I like to believe EVERY date will have would be comically bad. But I think that’s because they still need to understand that they don’t fall under the “typical demon date” or “amatonormativity” umbrella. Idk if it’s me overanalyzing it but,, something else w the scroll is how it was able to kinda predict MKs Big Boi form, even tho it was something we never saw before the special. The scroll is meant to replay PAST mistakes, but it keeps pointing out MK’s “destiny”… his future. Like this is so so weird to me.

Admittedly there are differences, but they are SO SIMILAR. Like Ink one,, almost feels like it IS trying to scare MK away from becoming a bad guy,, preventing what his “destiny” is. HOW DOES THE SCROLL KNOW????

(Soooo we see a vision of an all inked up MK, then we see the stone cracking, then we see a shot of the curse from 4x02, and THEN MK turns Tang Sanzang's golden power blue, a color associated with both LBD and the underworld in general. HM.)

(There's no hair flip so it's not MK, so it would make me think that this is an ink version of SWK next to the stone. It's weird so I'm including it!)

Hii im not sure if your request are open but I saw the daughter of macaque and I just got this idea if it’s ok can you draw kaiju (giant shadow form) LMK macaque protecting his daughter and pregnant female Y/N if drawing the kaiju form is too difficult then just regular LMK macaque is perfect ^^ have a good day/evening/night

THE CHAOS BEYOND AU CH1 PT2 AU ON SEMI HIATUS.

MEI'S A PROFESSIONAL RACER NOW AND STARTS TO SPEND ALOT OF TIME WITH REDSON WHO WORKS AT HIS FAMILIY'S FOOD STALL.

NEZHA WAS ATTACKED BY AN INVISIBLE KAIJU THAT EVEN DEITIES CAN'T SEEM TO SENSE AND THE BATTLE MADE ITS WAY TO M & R LOCATION.

NEZHA IS OVERPOWERED AND HAS THE LIFE SQUEEZED OUT OF HIM.

MEI'S HURT BAD AND REDSON TRIES TO RETURN NEZHA'S STAFF TO HIM.

HE SOME HOW IS ABLE TO FORGE THE SAMAHDI FIRE IN THE FORM OF NEZHA'S STAFF AND ATTACK'S THE KAIJU.
