Surround yourself with people, places and things you desire. Put your hands on it, go walk through it if you can. Just one bite

Here is one of those small pinched bowls with one of my favorite school glazes called ‘Light Pumpkin’. I find those toasty edges of clay that meet the outline of the glaze of highly alluring. Found this gem among all the things my wonderful friend was able to bring me. Due to the world happenings and having all public facilities closed, our school ceramic studio remains closed today. Luckily they allowed a pick-up day for students to retrieve their materials/works from school. Unable to attend, my friend @a.vasfie not only called me to ask if I would like for her to bring me some of my items while she was gathering hers, she decided to wrap up ALL my things up and bring them to me. Blessed with wonderful friends around. Now awaiting for the weekend to pick up some bisque fired pieces and get the next batch of work ready. Infusing diligence into updating more about my work here, thank you to all who take the time to read. Finding myself wrapped up in moments that unveil the abundance around me, as I take small bites and chew slow through the projects I am nurturing, it kind of sounds a lot easier in words. 〰️ I’d like to know if you too, experience friction when wanting to focus on a personal project, and what helps you pull though it? 〰️ As the shop is coming together, I come apart and together again. I have been learning a lot of what it means for me to focus on something I want. It is very interesting to observe how growing up with a people pleasing mentality can be very changeling an even exhausting to dedicate time to something where the one I am “pleasing”/“helping” is me. I am learning nonetheless to celebrate myself for the little milestones that come with sharing this practice and how it makes me feel. 🦋 〰️ I am narrowing the shop to be ready mid April, this will be a small batch of pieces that I have collected from various semesters of work, more pictures to come this week...maybe even today! 〰️ Always appreciating the support from my friends and family off and online.
