Maelgwyn was a prematurely awakened sapling. he was so sad and wet. for five years, he tried and failed to make his presumed dead by him tree's cave a home. the cave screamers, cave-ins, and scarcity of food made that impossible. eventually he had spent so much time failing to make it work, stressed, scared to death, crying every night, he decided risking his life trying to find somewhere better he could actually live at, was far preferable to certain death in that cave with a tree he could not hear nor understand.

the training montage in crossroads re-ignited a headcanon i had of geralt waking up and doing gymnastics, performing kickflips and mid-air spins around on a fencepost outside an hour before sunrise to ‘limber up,’ and bleary-eyed dandelion wrapping himself up in a blanket to be like "heyyy... what the hell are you doing 💖"

SEVERAL lessons #i was honestly worried for a second that we were going to get a reynevan moment. but no. because this is geralt and not reynevan #and seeing geralt develop critical thinking skills in real time was not only satisfying but a bit funny #and yes nostalgiabaiting me #like omggggg yesss his detective skills yesss that's so geralt of him

My wife and I are planning for THE nap tomorrow by washing all our bedding and pajamas in the nicest smelling soap, planning a big breakfast that will make us content and sleepy, and doing skincare and even shaving our legs lmao so that when it's time to snuggle down for The Nap, we'll be at maximum coziness. it's the little things
