just started playing sky: children of the light

not entirely sure whats happening but a player insisted i hold their hand then took me past a gate i thought i coildnt get past and then i just kept playing.

at one point the opposite happened and these 2 players seemed very insistant i lead them somewhere even though i had no clue where i was.

overall very fun but i still dont have a clue whats happening. incredibly cute though like oh my god its adorable

She's a menace (almost has the energy of what one would imagine Satan would've been like if he had ever been a toddler, except any unbridled rage has been converted into Even More Stubbornness) and he has too much of a soft spot for her to really do anything about it lol

Lucifer picked her name. Mostly she just goes by Ellie, but Lucifer and Diavolo use her full name 90% of the time

By human realm standards she'd very likely be autistic but that's complicated bc she's half demon and I still have no idea if demons in this universe are just naturally predisposed to having traits that read as neurodivergent from a human perspective--

Either way she gets Numerous traits from both parents

Much like her father she's Incredibly particular about a lot of things (especially how she presents herself) and is very routine oriented

She got an equal amount of pride and stubbornness from both parents and has ofc inherited their shared reluctance in asking for help. She will try and fail at something at least three times on principle, before requesting assistance in as dignified a manner as a toddler can manage.

She has a large vocabulary and generally stoic demeanor along with a relatively flat way of speaking that makes talking with her a pretty novel experience. She will explain to you in immense detail the plot of her favorite kid's show or the intricacies of the worlds and characters she creates when playing with her toys like it's the most complex and serious topic imaginable.

Has basically everyone wrapped around her conniving little finger and she's not even trying. She is blunt and incredibly scheming for a toddler and Everyone has a soft spot for her, Especially her father, and she is fully aware how easily she can get away with things. This could come back to bite everyone in the ass but for now she's too adorable to fix it lmao

Legally required ask since you've made me laugh: as a shizun- and shixiong-fucking expert, do you have any thoughts on Jiang Cheng as shizun to any particular character as a disciple?

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAa anyway as a Shizun I refuse to believe that at least a third of his sect didn't join due to the Whip. I also know he would be one of those strict teachers you're scared of disappointing.

Character wise we I mostly only know of the quartet and we can scratch out Jin Ling because that's his baby boy and Also future sect leader

Lan Sizhui is best boy the most well behaved and the most likely to try dating an older man to go out of his comfort zone. I don't see it though. Jiang Cheng is not touching his weird pseudo nephew.

Ouyang Zizhen is absolutely smitten we know this. Unfortunately he is too smitten to succeed at seducing Jiang Cheng. It would be a political nightmare.

Lan Jingyi and Jiang Cheng enemies to lovers StudentxTeacher, philosophical , Pissed Lan Wangji , scandalised SHixiong au where. It would also be Very funny to me if Lan Wangji had to deal with Jiang Cheng as an in-law. Lan Jingyi is very Loud and Combative? [ready to bitch to someone's(a sect leader's) face]. He would be good for Jiang Cheng who does his usual Repression tactics. Also imagine Lan Jingyi armed with the information of the other half of the Golden core nonsense (oh it would be so over for so many people).

[As a side note I do believe that Jiang Cheng deserves to be fandom bicycle especially considering everything he has going on re: lightning, purple, a child, very sexy, the only (competent) sect leader to make it out of the story semi unscathed apparently, trauma✨, marriage trauma too so you know he WOULD try his best in one.]

Gotham City Spirit

So in DC it's canon that some cities have living spirits. Manifestations of the cities themselves. And Gotham, I think, should have one. Gotham is cursed. Very cursed. There's also a Lazarus pit below it, a few buried temples to fifth dimensional beings and gods. And Arkham has been built over a site to a portal of hell, and then there was a second one opened there as well.

Gotham, I think, is a very old spirit. With how cursed the city is, much like the denizens, they're always fighting. Each night they battle curses and rip apart intrusions. One would think they're strength is waning, but they're actually very powerful. The issue is that most of that power is used to defend the city, and to shelter their knights when the sun goes down. Gotham is the grizzled warrior of the cities, starting to form far before the city became Gotham. And while at first it looks human, the longer one looks at its form the less that seems true.

Some of my favorite details:

The pauldron on their shoulder has patterns in the colors of the vigilantes

The outside of the cloak has a faded brick pattern similar to the buildings

There's several eyes, thorns, and feathers emerging from beneath the bandages & wounds, influenced by the Rogues

They did not have a long cloak until Batman took to the streets

Patches of their skin fades to gray like a corpse while the rest is the warmth of a body still living

Yes, those boots are in fact thigh-high (also matches Bats)

I like to think that a city's abilities are influenced by the people living there. For example Gotham may use a blade from olden times, but they may also start spewing spores or fear gas too. It's an odd abomination of modern and ancient, ever changing and adapting to their people.

A Halloween hc for yall^^

Whenever anyone sees one of the batfam(-Bruce +impulse) in October they just throw candy at them but they’re nice so Gotham has a list of the kids favorite candys on Yeller™️(Gotham Twitter) so at least they’re happy to pick up the candy and put it in their utility bekts like the little rats they are/aff

The only specific thing I’ll add to this that I’ll put separate from all the others is duke because he’s a daytime hero and Gotham loves him so instead of throwing it they get that one grandma that sells empanadas to convince him he needs a bag on his motorbike to represent Halloween during this time of year and all of them cooperate on Yeller™️ to keep track of where he parks it so they can dump candy(spicy and sour specifically) in it and pretend he doesn’t see them do it(he does and Halloween is the one day he goes out during night in costume so he can hand out candy to them all and pretend he doesn’t hear the bats asking for help on one this or another since he’s already out and doesn’t seem busy(no he doesn’t help fuck that ✨candy✨) before he goes back home and passes out:]
