Entitled customers are funny, imagine kicking up such a fuss with our managers that 2 mall security guards had to be called to come mediate all because you and your wife not only can't read but also can't see that our menu literally serves soft poached egg, not a boiled egg, in our Japanese rice bowls

Anyway read the menu properly y'all and ask questions if you're unsure, don't be a dick to hospitality workers especially over dumb shit

#this happened yesterday during boxing day #it was truly hilarious to me #this lady came to complain about our egg not being boiled fully #to which my managers were like 'yeah our menu only serves soft boiled it's shown and written very clearly on it'#but apparently this lady wasn't happy with that answer cause she left and then sent her husband back with the bowl to argue!!!!#and my managers were like nah we're gonna call security to mediate cause this guy legit just kept raising his voice #anyway in the time span of waiting for security to show up #this guy literally pulls his phone out to record a negative review of us which lmao alright #and then proceeds to tell customers looking at our menu to not order from us cause we've got bad food #they still ordered from us anyway with 1 customer saying to my coworker that they hoped he left soon cause he was making them uncomfortable #anyway security shows up and them + the guy + my managers talk for like 10+ minutes #with this guy apparently mentioning at one point that he wants us shut down #just to remind y'all if you're reading this that this is all over a soft boiled egg that is very clearly shown on the menu #and the whole thing ended with 1 of the security coming in to the shop to watch us remake the bowl without the egg #because apparently the guy was afraid we'd do something to his bowl #security looked done with this and apologised to us for this guy being so rude #also before anyone says anything both this guy and wife were fluent in English so it wasn't a matter of them not being able to read our men #and also again our bowls show a very obvious not hard boiled egg #anyway i hope they had an awful day afterwards for being such entitled dicks to us

i feel like it's fellow rogues would just come to accept at some point that blamore is going to be eating around them at least 40-45% of the time around them, because his metabolism is literally just THAT hyperactive that it pretty much is always carrying snacks on his person. which is,, well, really not so good on one hand. but on the other hand, if blamore likes you, then you may just get free snacks from him... so yay for that??? idk LOL

I hate the fucking AI voice answering bot thats used by EVERY company now. For my phone company I have to say "representative" three times until it will connect me. They'll try to guilt me like "oh im soo sowwy, please please giwve me another chance? (⁠｡⁠•́⁠︿⁠•̀⁠｡⁠)" No. I will cost your company time and money. I want to talk to a REAL person. I will not waste MY time training your fucking AI bot by jumping through menu after menu.

so i'm writing an 8th year fic and h&d are taking a muggle studies class together in which they read one of shakespeare's plays, and i'm trying to write a final project (for which they are partners) but like. hogwarts academics don't seem all that uhhhhh rigorous to me (like we see the students complaining about having to write a foot of parchment which is essentially ONE PAGE HANDWRITTEN) and i'm a little worried that my assignment is too rigorous.

it involves a lot of like. thinking analytically and using your imagination wrt the motivations of people unlike yourself, and that's not rlly something they do much at hogwarts as far as i can see. BUT it is muggle studies, and like. they could definitely all use some practice at those skills, following the recent implosion of their society.

#i showed it to my spouse who is a hs teacher #'where are they getting the books for this research? are there wizarding books about macbeth?' no there are not #the professor chose macbeth bc it has these concepts that will be familiar to them like witchcraft and prophesy #but presented from a muggle perspective #and also bc shakespeare is foundational to english literature and culture and it's good to be familiar with his work #and also bc they don't have a lot of experience with art esp language arts which is so so so sad and this will broaden their world #and ALSO bc shakespeare wrote before the statute of secrecy was signed which hopefully sparks their imaginations #to what extent might shakespeare's work have been impacted by ambient magic? or rumors of magic?#and if they had like a regular english literature education #they could talk about like the role of outcasts in shakespeare's work and whether magical people fit into that role #but they do not so we have to be a bit more literal #for the students that are prepared to like dig into this stuff it could be a very engaging experience #but most of them will prob be a bit lazy with it right? and maybe just resent the assignment and not get much out of it #and like!!!!#this assignment is literally just an excuse to have H&D putting their heads together in the library #and bring their relationship/the fact that they've been warming up to each other and spending time together out into the open #in a plausible deniability sort of way #a friendship soft launch if you will #i get a little carried away about these details sometimes #like if i mention the characters getting sandwiches i will look up menus for places they could plausibly have gotten sandwiches in that are #to make sure the sandwiches i mention are reasonable sandwiches #i heard some dumb story about meghan markle freaking out about not being able to get avocado when she was in the uk #and i remembered a fic i had written where aziraphale and crowley eat egg and avocado sandwiches #and i felt ashamed #an implausible sandwich!!!!

Recent game related things .. hrmm...

#I do like the inconsistency of the first map. that is actually something older but that I re-found and added to my Game Reference stuff #so that when characters reference where they're from I can be accurate. I like that the whole map is kind of shifted up that way. Where the #actual south part doesnt even count as the south since its Too Far and Scary lol. and if you say you're from 'the north' thats basically #like.. one single continent. Though some people do make distinctions like 'north midlands' or etc. still. I like the ways that common #language isn't always precisely accurate like that. and thinking about why a culture would classify things a certain way or etc. etc.#The inventory page is so funny to me because it's literally just the BASe like.. sample layout just to make sure it works properly with 0 #actual design into it. just colored rectangles thrown together in MS paint. but what if I like... left it like that.. what if all the other #art in the game and UI is like stylized and fully matching BUT the inventory/journal/etc. screens I just left as plain colored blocks #with random misalignments and black spots and etc gjhbhjj... It looks unfinished in a Funny Contrast way to me.#the wordcounts are just like... my past few days of writing.. I am still not getting 2200 words a day done or whatever I needed. I'm lucky #if it's even half of that .... tee hee.. :3c I do also keep having appointments and other things going on but..grrr...#The full map of the area is probably not necessary but I thought it would be more realisitc if people were able to reference things. Like i #you have people all living in a city area probably at some point someone might mention a neighboring city or some landmark nearby #or etc. so I thought having at least the basic names of what's around for reference would be sensible. A side character mentioning #'oh yeah I don't live here full time I just travel from Marisene sometimes' or whatever makes it seem more like a Real #Fleshed Out Place than people just making vague references like 'the river' or 'i come from a city nearby' or 'i went to a place somewhere #around here' or 'the other city' or etc. lol.. Especially since global cities/global areas are weird as they operate almost like an #independent country within their walls. so it's like a micro country inside of another country usually. just plopped down in some agreed #upon plot of land that won't be too disruptive to the main country around it. That could get very complex depending on the cultural and #political backdrop of where they're placed (though obviously they try to choose the 'easiest' areas possible for it). Asen is a very mild #country without much history of conflict or anything so it's fine. But still interesting that Sifeh and the entire branched out global area #border three other districts of Asen. Which means like 3 times the local representitives you'l have to negotiate with for some major change #or anything. I think one of the 'random characters you can find around the world and have short discussions with just to make the area #feel more populated and real even though theyre not actual important npcs' is going to be a guy who actually serves on the council that #handles running the global areas and he's like.. some perpetually exhausted middle aged elf running around with a clipboard or whatever #ANYWAY...... hrgh... still trying to write when I can....#I WISH so badly that I had the scope for a simple character creation menu and all character interactions would allot for the background #of your player character. And also to have a simple day night cycle where places in the world you explore/people you talk to during the day #have new options or dialogue at night.. BUT alas... I already am so behind on everything as is lol.. aughhh... T o T #As the worlds number one Needless Detail And Complexity Enjoyer i must dilligently prevent myself from adding additional complexity

i am BEGGING restaurants to stop putting cheese and garlic on LITERALLY EVERYTHING EVER

#LITERALLY TWO OF MY WORST FOODS AS AN AUTISTIC PERSON #sob sob #i'm going out for lunch with my family tomorrow #and we're going to this place that my sister suggested #and she's like ''oh yeah the food there is so good''#and the menu is. literally THE most unfriendly to my flavour of 'tism #one time my sister took me to a restaurant on a whim and i was happy to go because i trusted her #but i looked at the menu (after sitting down) and nearly had a panic attack #and no i can't ask for anything to get removed because whenever i do it's like a 50/50 for if it actually gets removed #and then i feel like an asshole asking for them to fix it #because i don't want them to think that i'm just an annoying picky eater #bc i've already asked once #for example this place does a chili but they put cheese on it (there is no menu variant without cheese)#but like previously mentioned cheese is no bueno para mi #like i can sometimes have it but only in very specific circumstances #and cheese on top of chili is NOT it #i love chili though #but if it arrives with cheese then i can't just scoop it off. it's already been Contaminated #one time i ordered fish and chips with garden peas and they gave me mushy peas instead and i can't eat that #so i sent it back and they came back a few seconds later with the majority of the mushy peas scraped off #but it still had the residue all over the fish and the chips #and i can't eat that!!!!!#and then because it was a pub and not a restaurant i had to stand awkwardly at the bar trying to get someone's attention #it was awful #anyway i should make a vent tag #shapes.vent

got almost all the functionality for my site done, btw :3c figuring out i could add more than one line of show & hide to my scripts??? game changer!!!!!!!!!

#i also fixed the issue of the start menu links not opening <3 it’s bc i was specifying to it to stay open on hover so! clicking a link made #it close :o so i think now i need to figure it out how to swap between the min & restore buttons and that’s the last bit of script???#i think so at least….and i need to fine tune other aspects but it’s good it’s fine #OH and obvi the colour schemes but thats the last thing i need to do bc i need to make sure all the elements are where they should be and #look the way they need to before i colour things. just so i have everything ready yknow #anything else??? #having a day full of mixed feelings #I suppose this is how life goes #I'm officially done with my Bachelor's degree as of today #obviously I'm proud of myself for the accomplishment and I was excited to be celebrated today #it was a long and difficult road and there were many times where I didn't think I'd live to see it through but I made it #I'm the first person in my family to get this degree and I was really looking forward to having today be my day #I had a really lovely morning and then things kind of waned #there were a few arguments. someone I spent the day with repeatedly made negative comments about something I care about #it felt awful. I know it was intended as more of a playful jab than anything but I directly asked for the comments to stop and they didn't #it especially hurt that it was a fandom thing and the person is so invested in their own fandoms yet they felt it fair to step on mine #even though I've never done that to them #then people kept talking over me and acted like I was wrong for trying to interject to finish my own sentences #also as I said in the last post I was deeply upset by how my family members spoke of my 12 year old cousin #she's just a kid and some of our close family members have such a nasty opinion of her. she's so young and she's had a rough few years #but it seems like no one except my brother and I are willing to give her any grace #I think everyone else has forgotten what it feels like to be a kid and feel as if the world is against you #on a more positive note. I had a decadent slice of chocolate cake. it was heavenly #unfortunately I was really too in my head to fully enjoy it #literally every day for 3 weeks I've been talking about the lunch I planned to have today #I knew exactly what meal and dessert I wanted from the restaurant. it's my absolute fave and isn't available at any other local restaurant #I was totally starving by time we got to the restaurant. we were out all morning and I ate a tiny breakfast in anticipation of this meal #when we got there we found out they removed what I planned to order from the menu. I was devastated.#I know it's stupid but like this was the one part of my day that I've had planned for MONTHS and I've been thinking about it for weeks #we had a 40 minute car ride where I mentioned my excitement for the food no less than 10 times so this crushed me #also I'm just really picky in general and typically restaurants only have one or two things I'm able to eat #I offered to just eat the dessert while everyone else ordered food because they were all really hungry too but they wouldn't allow it #we left the restaurant and I still feel horrible for walking out. if I had known the item was removed we wouldn't have even gone there #it happened so recently though and I feel dumb for not even thinking to check the menu online beforehand #so we went to another restaurant and I barely ate anything and now I have no appetite for dinner and I feel bad for ruining the afternoon #even though it's my day and my celebration and I feel like I'm entitled to a slight amount of unreasonableness
