there's something very cathartic about telling a very angry man on the phone to fuck off and hang up. literally right after i say "hi welcome to (x), how can i help you" in my best nice voice, he started laughing and giving me shit and yelling about how we fucking suck and calling me names. i work at a customer service call center for like. over 1000 companies. i have NO idea what he was calling about yet, just that he was calling his apartment's management company. apparently he's been having a lot of issues with his landlord and yeah it really sucks for him!! but screaming at a random woman on the phone is not gonna help you dude.

hi everyone I just got back from one of the worst night of my life. I was coming back home and I was with my two cousins (two males, I'm saying this because it's important I guess). We were walking home when we saw a bag on a bench. There was a phone inside a bag and it was ringing. I sad to my cousins: yallah let's go home. Because I'm not stupid okay, last thing I want is for us to deal with italians on this. But my cousin (bless him. he's a nice soul. BLESS HIM) said: it's ringing, let's answer no? I insisted: let's go home, leave it there. they didn't listen to me. He answered the phone and apparently and elderly woman forgot his bag there, the son was on the phone. My cousin told him where we were and okay. Fine, let's wait for him to come and get his mama's bag. I was SO NERVOUS you guys and I told them so, because I'm not stupid OKAY I know what's going to happen. AND WHAT HAPPENED? The guy came: he saw us, he understood we were not white italians, he saw my cousins especially because two moroccan men? yeah let's not talk about it okay. This dickhead got the bag and started to look inside. he was like: "my mother had money but the wallet is empty." I said to him: "look we got here and heard the phone ringing and we answered, I don't know what to tell you." HE INSISTED. HE LITERALLY CALLED THE POLICE ON US. HE INSISTED. what the fuck I got so scared we told him we had no idea, we literally saw the bag, we waited for him there, what the fuck???????

no seriously I ended up crying. I yelled at him, I told to my cousins to go home and leave him there, but we couldn't at that point. In the end a policeman came and I guess we got lucky that he was "kind" enough to let us go. I explained to him (ME, BECAUSE I WAS A WOMAN and I felt like I was the best person for this though I was literally shacking) that we just found the bag and we wanted to give it back, like we took nothing what the fuck. He let us go. On my way home crying and yelling to my cousins to not do that again. Thank you italy you're a fucking disgrace
