The reason House episodes are fun to watch is because they solve the riddle, right? There's a problem and a number of side streets are explored but eventually they hit the jackpot and at the end there is a treatment.
It's for the same reason that gaming is so fun. There's a puzzle that you have to figure out, even if it's just figuring out the right way to shoot the baddies who invariably deserve to be killed, until you make it to the next level.
It's dopamine hits. You're rewarded to stick it out until the end and you know that it's coming, so you do stick it out. Arguably watching a tv episode doesn't require you to do much, but depending on the difficulty setting you've introduced - and I happen to like the highest one - gaming does.
Now the question is - are we supposed to find ways in life to get the dopamine hit? Is that how you stick with something? Is that how you get disciplined? How to get things done? Or is it about finding the same fulfilment and reward even when the neurotransmitter is lacking? Is my brain supposed to work in other ways too?
#gaming#tv show#house md#now I've only just started watching#so obviously there might be quite a lot that'll still be happening in 8 seasons of house that don't follow the formula#but so far it's a 100% kind of thing#and it's FUN#writing#my writing#a story every day#11 march#2024#listen they can't all be hits#but somewhere in the future if I'm reading through old entries I'll be like#âoh 11 march 2024 is when I started watching house huhâ#I actually started yesterday or the day befoe that though so joke's on me

eleven is fascinating to me because he came right off the back of tens horrible traumatic breakdown after he lost everything and he immediately tried to establish himself as the opposite of that. he is funny and goofy and almost childlike, and he bulldozes on in his adventures with amy like nothing happened at all. but then something happens and his masks slips and it's like oh! the core of this man is still anger. he is so so angry all of the time and this façade is the only thing stopping him from being consumed by it. he isn't over any of it and he hasn't moved on. he is wearing a fez and laughing but under that all that exists is age old anger and grief and it is going to consume him
#i do think that this pit of anger was eventually covered and soothed by the ponds#but he didn't adress it and he couldn't even look at it until he was twelve#when he stopped pushing back and repressing everything and finally allowed himself to exist as he was#but ok listen#its all layed out in the first 3 episodes of season 5 and in the way amy sees him#episode 1. here is the new doctor he is energetic and reeling and fun#episode 2. the space whale comparison. here is the new doctor. he is unthinkably ancient and almost godlike but he is so so kind#and patient and good. he is ancient and lonely but he can't stand to see children cry. so the doctor helps people#episode 3. daleks. the doctor is a soldier. these are his age old enemies. he wants them dead and he will stop at nothing#all logic and reason vanish. he is hitting the dalek with a pipe and yelling his head off while amy watches in horror#like obviously we know why but amy didnt#this is not a sane or rational man he is unstable and angry#and in that episode he was stripped back to what he largely is: hate#you would make a good dalek ect ect ect#anyway 3 episodes with 3 very distinct and equally definitely traits layed out like: here you go#i don't like elevens era much but those first 3 episodes were great#doctor who#eleven#amy#eleventh doctor#matt smith#dr who#dw#i mean idk this is what river literally had to spell out for him#eleven was careening completely out of control#how long til doctor means warrior indeed?#mine

something i've been thinking about:
Wally is set up as a sort of "main character" by the whrp. he's said in the site's description of the show to have introduced the main theme/lesson of the day's episode, and then the rest of the neighbors join him on his escapades. but then we have our first glimpses of everyone's actual dynamics and characters through the audios and you look at Wally and its like
first of all, thats an npc. second, nearly everybody else has severe main character syndrome
but its fascinating how Wally is just kind of... There. he doesnt talk much. he doesnt contribute beyond a couple of lines. its more like he joins the others on their shenanigans. he fades into the background. he's off to the side while everyone else holds conversations & leads the moment
Wally, despite being described as Thee character, is borderline background.
& whats even more interesting, within his individual secret audio files and interactions - he's almost chatty. not only that but the way he talks is more confident and faster paced. he's taking initiative. he can be kinda pushy. when talking to the qa/whrp/Us, he acts more like the character his descriptions portray. he acts more like a person instead of a puppet waiting for his next cue
I cant tell if - when around the neighbors - his tepid milk behavior is a purposeful act or if he's masking. and if he's masking, is it deliberate or involuntary? and in regards to both, why is he acting so different? It could be tied to what he's trying to accomplish. if he's trying to "restore" Welcome Home, it would make sense for him to act as he does around the neighbors - he wouldnt want to clue them in that he knows so much more than he's letting on, would he?
but then that begs another train of thought - what if he isn't acting or masking? if there is a time discrepancy between Wally's interactions with the qa/whrp/Us & the more 'official' audios, that could explain the difference in behavior. we could be getting glimpses into "future" (read: current) Wally, who's had much more time to figure himself out since we can safely assume he started out as a blank slate. we could be seeing a more experienced Wally than the one seen with his friends.
of course that line of thinking loses some merit when considering the 14 "bug" audios. or it could lend to it... if we're seeing a more experienced Wally but his friends are only seeing what he allows them to. it's still him, just... a carefully curated version.
in general it could really tie into the themes of identity and change and being other, to me. when you're so different - or you feel so different - that you can't bring yourself to be your most authentic you around your friends. when you feel like you have to hold back and be who you think they expect you to be, or what would be most palatable. most normal. will they accept you as you really are? there's always the fear and terror that the people you consider closest to you won't. or when you're so scared of change that you'll shove down & lock away parts of yourself so that you can keep things as you are. because once they know you've changed, so will they. and really, do you want to even accept that you've changed? what if that's what scares you most of all - that you're different, you've metamorphosized, you can't go back to the way things were because you yourself are no longer the person you were before. there is no reversing this no matter how much you try or pretend
#its just so fascinating#the whrp: wally's The Guy!#wally (with his friends): the most lukewarm dude ever#then he's alone or alone with home and its like Hi My Name Is Wally Darling & Welcome To Jackass *off-tune guitar riff*#bbg has â¨problemsâ¨#and like - im giving all of his stuff a re-listen to make sure im not misremembering or completely talking out of my ass#but his phone call? the way his VA is delivering the lines seems So fuckign different than in the shared audios#his tone is flatter. he sounds more sure of his words and himself. he Sounds like he's in control and knows it.#immediately going from that to a shared audio where he puts more inflection in his voice & doesnt talk much#and when he does talk its slow. meandering. his lines are more befitting of his audience surrogate role#which only makes me feel more like he's acting/masking (again: if that time discrepancy does indeed exist)#which - as someone who kinda compulsively masks around Literally Everyone no matter how much i want to Not - it kinda hits hard!#i suspect that he Is masking instead of acting. he's The Most Autism as we all know so it would more than fit#and that could add an extra layer if it's automatic and he can't turn it off. or if he doesn't want to turn it off#but also acting... a misplaced attempt to protect his friends and world? not feeling like he can share his 'true' self? augh#wally darling you make me unwell. i want to dissect you#wh speculation#welcome home speculation#homebogging#and then listening to his little record audios#he starts out talking like he does in the shared audios and then slowly gains confidence until he's speaking more like he does in the call#just. wally not being talkative in the neighborhood to the point where everyone's like 'yeah wally isnt much of a talker'#vs him chatting away to the qa/whrp/Us#of course it could be because he has to carry the entire conversation on his own#But. but. you can still carry a one sided conversation and be hesitant or awkward or um. missing the word rn but short-sentenced#brief? succinct? concise?#wally's fully trying to make conversation with someone he knows can't reply. which is interesting#so many ways to take that. well. three#maybe he doesnt feel listened to in his day to day life / he feels more comfortable and can relax / hes been alone for a long while#anyway there may be more ways to take this but this is all my tiny poppyseed brain can reach atm

#p4#persona 4#hanamura yosuke#yosuke hanamura#EVERYDAY IM HOWLING. EVERYDAY IM SCREAMING.#for context this comes at the heel of yosuke charging at mitsuo kubo in rage because of his flippance towards killing saki and he's hit har#but souji and kanji jump in to protect him#like ok a lot of things going on here such as the obvious OH MY GODDDD yosuke being yosuke and taking things on for himself#because he doesn't want to bother people?? because he's made it his own responsibility? because his survivor's guilt is still lingering?#i mean don't tell me he doesn't look at how he surrendered to his shadow like apart from his self-sacrificing propensity#i low key feel like everytime yosuke demands answers about saki's death from the murderer/god/etc there's this undertone of how#he would rather it have been him#he cheapens his own life so much and for what#BUT ALSO!! ALSO!! not just souji jumping in because we know he would he's down bad for yosuke BUT ALSO KANJI#listen you've all heard me talk so much about how i adore kanji yosuke friendships#i can't really tell whether it's kanji or souji that says âhaven't we earned your trust yetâ but it's a line that hits SO HARD#regardless of which one of them was saying it and i think it hits hard in slightly different manners#it's kanji's admiration and how he looks up to yosuke and how he wants to be closer to yosuke as a friend/kouhai/whatever you want#tatsumi âwho's your partner now!â kanji has so much respect for yosuke he wants yosuke to rely on him too!!!#and this stands out because kanji is very conscious of social hierarchies and such but as a kouhai as yosuke's junior#he's so specific about wanting yosuke to treat him as an equal#i smtimes feel bad for kanji because he has a bit of that vibe of a poor puppy trailing after souyo because he wants to be in their convos!#he wants to be included! but critically he also just! wants them to SEE him!!#going a lil off tangent but i think kanji's attitude towards souji is very much one of kouhai respect like he understands his place#of like deferring to souji or getting advice from him and just generally regarding him as a reliable mentor#and it's the same with chie and yukiko? but idk man. with yosuke. guys. with yosuke i always feel like kanji wants to break that hierarchy#that convention. that social norm. to cross a line and be closer to yosuke.#he's more willing to tease yosuke in a way he doesn't with the other 2nd years. and this isn't coming from a place of disrespect either#AGAIN. KANJI REALLY LIKES YOSUKE. he wants to protect yosuke!!! he jumps at the opportunity for yosuke to rely on him!!#i'm getting delulu but there's those hints of âyosuke senpai i want you to see me as a man!!!â kind of energy here and i'm it's yknow hmm

Linger, Chapter 1: She's So Mean
Summary: From the moment you meet her, you can't stand Melissa Schemmenti.
Warnings: Strong Language
----
Youâve always been one to go above and beyond. Whether it was because you were truly an ambitious go-getter, or because it was actually rooted in a deep-seated fear of letting others down, who can say? What mattered was you were reliable. You did your best to stay organized and on top of things, despite the fact that you struggled with it. You thrived when it came to creative problem-solving. And you were never, ever late.
At least, thatâs the mantra you repeated to yourself as you mentally practiced the apology youâd be giving Abbott Elementaryâs principal. Glancing at the watch on your wrist as you burst through the front door, you curse under your breath. Arriving almost a full 45 minutes later than you were supposed to was not the way to make the first impression you wanted. Youâd been a bundle of nerves the night before, prepping the following dayâs lunch as much as possible. Youâd made a concerted effort to get to bed at a decent hour, youâd laid out your âfirst day subbing at a new schoolâ outfit, and youâd even set a few different alarms in order to prevent this exact situation.
It might have slipped your attention that the alarms youâd set were actually for the PM.
The surge of adrenaline when youâd seen 7:02 AM blinking back at you from the digital clock on your bedside table as you woke was more effective than any cup of coffee. You were barely finished dressing before you were out the front door with your shoulder bag in tow - hair piled in an unkempt mess on your head and makeup, socks, and half-prepped lunch forsaken in your haste.
Mercifully, most subs had pre-planned lessons to follow, so you didnât have to worry about throwing off your studentâs schedules too much today. But seeing as this was your first day at Abbott, you werenât familiar with the building layout. Even worse, youâd never met the principal, which means you have no idea what kind of reaction to expect in regard to your tardiness.
You knew students started to arrive at Abbott at 7:30 for an 8 oâclock start to the day, and youâd been instructed to arrive no later than 7:15. You looked up from your watch to get your bearings in the unfamiliar environment. Just up the hall from the doors you entered, you saw an office with glass walls and what looked like a check in area where there stood a tall, stunning black woman.
She was dressed stylishly, shockingly so for someone who works in an elementary school. A form-fitting olive green dress hugged her curves, which were emphasized by the large brown belt around her waist. Her hair was long and looked right from a salon, her nails meticulously cared for. She wore red lipstick and her eye makeup could easily be seen on the cover of a magazine. Her face was buried in her phone, so she hadnât noticed you enter the building. You approached her, your hectic morning creating a distinctly frazzled air around you.
You felt silly and underdressed standing next to her, your normally put-together appearance ditched in favor of time. You silently thanked your past self for having the foresight to lay out your clothes for the day. Even still, your plain black work trousers, white button-down, and sneakers felt distinctly out of place next to this woman. As you stood there, she didnât look up from her phone.
Unsure what else to do, after a moment you made yourself known by clearing your throat. Without looking up from her phone, a single, sculpted brow raised in question, followed by a short, âWhat do you want?â
Taken aback, you stuttered, âI-I, uh, Iâm the principal- I mean, Iâm looking for the principal.â You felt heat rising in your cheeks at your mistake. âGood one,â you thought.
At least your slip-up gained you some ground. The woman lowered her phone and glanced at you, giving you a once-over from head to toe. âWhat do you want with the principal? If youâre here to complain about something, youâll have to send it in an email or Instagram DM, sheâs on vacation.â
Your heart dropped to your stomach - the principal wasnât even here? You werenât sure if Abbott had a vice principal. You were already late, you didnât know where you were supposed to go, and you werenât sure if the vaguely-unfriendly woman in front of you would be able to help.
âOh, actually Iâm a sub-â you started.
You were cut off by a loud, âOh! Well, why didnât you say so? Why are you dressed like a waiter?â
You frowned. She was right. You did look like a waiter.
You were stunned as the womanâs entire demeanor changed. A large smile graced her features as she held out her hand. âAva Coleman, principal of Abbott Elementary.â You stared at the outstretched hand before taking it, your eyebrows furrowed.
âWait, did you just lie to my face about being on vacation?â
âUsually when someone introduces themself, youâre supposed to do it back. Unless youâre like Leo DiCaprio levels of famous, obviously,â she prompts you, entirely ignoring your question.
You give her your name, overwhelmed by the whirlwind that has been this morning and the whiplash of the womanâs sudden change in attitude. âNice to meet you,â Ava says with a glowing smile as she releases your hand. âYou know youâre late, right?â
You nod, rubbing the back of your neck sheepishly. All things considered, Ava didnât seem upset, or even remotely reprimanding, for that matter. She might as well have been asking about the weather she was so nonchalant. Having braced yourself for a lecture or a raised voice, you found yourself feeling just the slightest bit relieved. âIâm sorry about that. This isnât⌠itâs not the norm for me, I promise. It wonât happen again.â
âGirl, I am not pressed,â Ava says, brushing off your apology with a wave of her hand. âAt least you showed up at all. Trying to get a sub lately has been like trying to get Taylor Swift tickets - a whole lot of waiting just to find out there arenât any left.â She gives a cheesy grin at her own joke, not waiting for you to react before continuing, âYouâll actually be with another teacher. Her aide has appendicitis, sheâs out for at least the next week and a half.â
You were surprised, not unpleasantly so. Youâd expected to have your own room, but there were plus sides to subbing in for teaching aides. âOh, okay. That will be good actually, I can get a feel for things and watch how she runs her class, maybe ask her for pointers,â you state as you start to follow Ava down the hall.
Ava glances back at you, a look you canât quite discern in her eye. âUh, yeah,â she said, entirely unconvincing. âIâm sure sheâd love to share pointers. Sheâs been a teacher here for a long time, so she does stuff a certain way.â
Avaâs words reignite some of the anxiety youâd felt starting to dissipate. You thought having another teacher to lead the class and watch would be a good thing, but Ava is making it seem like this teacher would be difficult. Youâd had plenty of old, strict, mean teachers as a student. When you first started subbing, youâd met a teacher at another school who went through teaching aides like Duracell batteries. Sheâd been in the same school for well over 35 years, so it was essentially her way or the highway. She was so strict and particular, most people ended up taking the highway.
Ava stopped at a door on the right side of the hall, and as she pulled the door open, you heard a chorus of tiny voices say, âGood morning Miss Schemmenti!â At least youâd managed to make it before any actual instruction began.
Popping her head in the room, you heard Ava say, âMelissa, you got a sub today.â A ripple of âoohsâ and giggles spread throughout the class. Kids were always interested in a new face.
âOh really?â came a dulcet voice with the strongest Philly accent youâd heard in a minute. It was tinged with incredulity and annoyance. âA sub who canât be bothered to show up on time?â
Your stomach churned with anxiety and shame, but you felt a slight spike of annoyance as well. You suppose you couldnât blame her, but you hadnât even met this woman yet. You pushed these feelings aside as best you could as Ava replied, âYouâre lucky you got a sub at all girl. I didnât have to put her in your class. Youâre welcome!â Stepping aside, she gestures you into the room.
The first thing you notice is the sheer amount of kids crammed into one room. Thereâs a division in the center and one side seems to be slightly older. The confusion must be evident on your face, because Ava chimes in, âWe lost a third-grade teacher last minute and we couldnât afford another one, so we combined a second and third grade class. You get two for one! I love a good deal myself.â Her joke doesnât land.
Two grades in one room was really unconventional. How could both classes be receiving the right instruction? You couldnât wrap your brain around it. Either the second graders had to be feeling left behind, or the third graders were learning the same things theyâd learned last year. Not to mention the number of kids presented a challenge itself. âThere have to be close to thirty kids in this room!â you thought.
The velvety voice from before chimed in, âYou could at least try not to look overwhelmed. Jeez, how old are you anyway, kid? Iâm not gonna be able to tell the difference between you and the students.â Some small giggles echoed around the room as you turned.
Whatever you had been expecting, this woman was not it. âIs everyone working in this school hot?â you grimaced to yourself as your eyes took in the gorgeous red-headed woman who stood before you. She was older, which in your mind only enhanced her beauty. She was a few inches taller than you, although you noticed the heeled boots she wore. Her deep red hair was luscious, with soft waves begging to have fingers combed through them. A single eyebrow was raised and a decidedly unimpressed expression graced her face, a dusky rose color painting her pursed cupid's bow lips. Her nose was soft yet prominent - it suited her immensely. Her eyes were slightly close-set, a captivating green-hazel color. They were rimmed with a subtle smokey shadow that made them pop.
She had on a long-sleeved black shirt and a few necklaces decorated her collarbones. But what caught your attention most were the leather pants that clung tightly to her soft hips.
Youâd always been a sucker for a woman in leather.
âYou gonna acknowledge me or not? Do I need to get you a copy of the lesson plan, or a coloring sheet?â She asked, hands on her cocked hips. Another ripple of giggles ricocheted throughout the room. Your cheeks flame with embarrassment. You were used to being teased about your height and young appearance by people you knew, not by strangers using it as a way to question your position at work.
Feeling a surge of indignation and annoyance, you opened your mouth before you could stop yourself and shot back, âIâm 28 years old - how old are you?â
A loud chorus of âOoooh!â from the class, and in a split-second, you knew youâd fucked up.
A fire ignited behind Melissaâs eyes, her eyebrows coming together and her weight shifting forward. Her posture was rigid, coiled like a rattlesnake, ready to strike at any moment. Her nostrils flared as she bit out, âIâm none-of-your-business years old.â Her tone was dangerous and sharp. The class waited with bated breath to see what youâd do. Would the new sub start a fight with Miss Schemmenti? The tension in the air could be cut with a knife.
You heard, âNeither of you swing before I start recording!â from Ava.
Your heart was rattling inside your chest. âAnd I thought being late would be enough to make the wrong first impression.â But you didnât feel sorry for what you said. It wasnât fair for her to be so critical. If she wanted to play the age card, then youâd meet her where she was at. She had no right to belittle you, even if you were less experienced.
You decided then and there that you didnât like Melissa Schemmenti.
But you needed to get past this - you both had a class to teach, after all. Standing your ground, you managed to hold her gaze as you said evenly, âIf you would be so kind as to point me to my desk? I believe we have a school day to start.â You were immensely proud that your voice didnât tremble, despite the way your pulse thrummed in your ears.
Glaring at you for a moment longer, you knew youâd live to see another day when Melissa shifted her weight back again, arms folding across her chest. 'Her well-endowed chest,' you thought. You immediately chastised yourself. You needed to get a grip. This was your workplace and you should be keeping things professional, although that had almost gone out the window already. Even if she was alarmingly hot, sheâd disrespected you without so much as a âhello.â The woman had been ready to tear you limb from limb a moment ago, and not in a sexy way.
Melissa tilted her head with a pointed look toward the back corner of the room, and you glanced over to see a small desk. You met her gaze once more and muttered a âThank you.â But as you started to turn, you realized neither she nor the class knew your name. Stopping, you introduced yourself, instinctively holding out a hand.
It occurred to you how incredibly awkward it was to offer to shake the hand of the woman youâd just slighted, and youâre thankful you can write off the heat still lingering on your cheeks as your temper.
For a moment, she stared disdainfully at your proffered hand, but she sent a furtive glance toward the class and a look of realization passed over her face - her students had been watching all of this unfold. Maybe she wanted to set a good example, or maybe she just wanted to move on, but she took your hand begrudgingly. Her grip was a bit too tight. âMiss Schemmenti,â she said, and you noted the lack of a first name. Her teeth were gritted behind a strained smile. The flash in her eyes made the message clear. You are not on my good side.
Ava made a disapproving sound. âMan, I thought I was gonna get something good,â she said, and you caught the light glinting off of what you suspect was her phone camera as she turned and walked away.
You released Melissa's hand and retreated to the back of the room. As you deposited your things on what was now your desk, Melissa began, âAlright my little cannolis, enough dilly-dallying. Shawnte, will you please help me pass out these math sheets?â Her irritation was masked impeccably behind a practiced teacher's voice as she split a stack of papers with a small girl from the third-grade side of the room.
You exhaled deeply. It was only 8:15 and youâd managed to make your first enemy at Abbott. Unpacking your things, you found you couldnât resist watching Melissa as she made her way around the room. You didn't consider yourself quick to anger, but somehow this woman had managed to piss you off in a matter of minutes. And you were supposed to spend at least the next week and a half with her?
As she passed by you, her eyes shot up and briefly made contact with yours. You felt the heat of her glare piercing into you. It seems she couldnât resist another pointed comment on your tardiness. âMaybe tomorrow, you could get here on time and do your job, so I donât have to ask a student to help pass out papers.â
This was going to be a long week.

Frannie, you are in over your head. Meaning? Meaning, guys like him don't marry girls like you. That's fairy tale. And girls like you get hurt, and guys like him don't even know it, and that's life.
#due south#ray vecchio#francesca vecchio#benton fraser#oof the way you can see the truth of this hit ray so hard#good for frannie for saying all of this and sticking up for herself because ray was being an unfair jerk#especially since he was projecting his own fears and insecurities about losing fraser and taking it out on frannie#ray's behavior here only makes sense to me if he's acting out of jealousy#because he doesn't seem the type to get involved in his siser's love life (unless she's being harmed in some way)#and what he says about fraser directly contradicts what we know ray actually thinks about him#i can't imagine ray sees fraser as the type to 'love 'em and leave 'em for lack of a better phrase. he knows he's not like that#ray is the one in over his head and worried about being left heartbroken (and not being good enough for fraser to stick around for)#if fraser was involved with frannie; ray loses ever getting a chance with him either way whether it works out or not#if the potential relationship worked out ray would have to sit by and watch the man he loves be with his sister#and if it doesn't work out (which it likely wouldn't lbr) he loses his frienship as well because it would never be the same after#and the fact remains that fraser will likely go back to canada one day and leave ray behind#and not realize just how much it will hurt ray when he goes#AND FRASER IS LISTENING TO ALL OF THIS#HE'S JUST ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE GLASS#THE PERSON RAY DREAMS ABOUT#SO CLOSE BUT STILL OUT OF REACH#i can't with them#frannie is the only brave one here i love her#ds30below

gonna be so sad when tonight is the first preshow space with good audio and i'm asleep because i have a psych appointment tomorrow
#life update if anyone gaf we're now at the point where i know i'm getting the adhd diagnosis and yet i STILL HAVE TO WAIT#like she just isnt sure if it's adhd or add (its norway theyre not gonna update the terms any time soon just roll with it)#and im just like. girl i don't give a fuck#its been so many years i cant do this anymore#we've talked to my fucking kindergarten teachers like đ they've investigated my entire life atp#to make sure i did in fact have all these issues from birth#because my word and my mum's word just isn't good enough i guess#like lets rely on the selective memories of random ass people ive encountered growing up this is ASININE#anyway my godmother had a 4h consultation the other day and got diagnosed on the spot#so now my mum is mad at her LMFAO#cause my mum's like. that bitch doesn't even have adhd. shes fine.#which i feel like is probably wrong but i agree with the sentiment#where is the deep dive investigation into her wholeass existence đ#its cause she got to go private but they refuse to refer me to a private specialist so i have to keep going publuc#public#and if i go private on my own its too expensive plus the waitlist is years long#so. whatever. i guess.#man im so tired.#i will never ever ever forgive my psychiatrist from when i was 15 who said i probably had adhd but because i did ok in school its fine#and they wouldnt set the diagnosis#because the fact that i have papers from when i was 15 saying i don't have it is what's making this all so difficult#even though if you read all the papers it says i hit on EVERY SINGLE POINT#which is why the One Psych who listened to me is absolutely fuming losing her mind cause she can't understand why any of this happened#man i hate my fucking life lol

Can't believe I accidentally abandoned Unwell podcast for nearly two years for no reason. I'm finally catching up with it and I'm feeling some kind of way about ghosts that don't know they are ghosts, and ghosts that aren't exactly ghosts at all, and ghosts that are previous versions of you, and towns that are alive and complicated, and houses that shift and change and become unfamiliar in the same way a person's own mind can, and family, and tradition, and history, and memory, and community, and grief...
#Unwell podcast#Unwell#Also I'm so emotional about Ep4.11#You know#the one where the chapel fills with water and [redacted] happens?!#Fucking hell. That scene#Someone give Clarisa Cherie Rios an Oscar for that scene#It absolutely broke my heart#I'm pretty sure I'd seen a spoiler about what happens in that episode#but I forgot/ convinced myself I'd imagined it#and actually hearing the reaction to it hit me like a freight train#I am annoyed that I'm having all these feelings but I can't look in the tag yet#cos I don't want spoilers since I've not listened to most of Season 5 yet#So I'm just posting into the void

#my art#mission to zyxx#C-53#pleck decksetter#dar mtz#ok time for some of my appearance headcanons#i was just gonna give c little dot eyes but i was goofing around with the doodle#and i was like. oh actually little light up ocular sensors that look like đď¸đď¸ are kinda funny#i'm kinda trying to hit the space where the juck bot frame could conceivably have the same inner workings as the c frame#but it's got more like. idk plating and synthetic skin and stuff#i also think that ideally this type of frame is supposed to be more fully covered? with skin. less visible joints#and is supposed to have a cooler better looking face#but they got it at a discount store that sorta refurbished it juuuuuuust well enough to sell#they also mention in the show that the eyes glow and the jaw comes off#if there were any other details i forgot about them#i like tellurians to be Pretty Much Human#but I do like the pointy ears interpretation for one main reason:#i can put perfect little pointy ones on tellurians that are the Standard for good looks (rolphus etc.)#and give pleck ones that are slightly larger and a little bent. i just think that's fun#i'm also a short pleck truther and do not believe he is skinny. that man is at least midsized. actually probably just midsized#cause if he were too big he would be too cool#ohh and first time drawing the k'hekk eye yayyyy. it should probably be nastier but i can only do so much#dar i really imagine round cause it's like the classic Big Guy shape and they have no bones in their head so it can't be that structured#bodywise my design is def inspired by tikkitronictonic and snuffysbox's designs#i was at a total loss on how to interpret the talons and chutes and flaps when I was listening and this is easy and smooth#maybe the only major difference is that i imagine dar is pretty hygienic and furry scales feel like they'd be hard to keep clean#with all the uh. goings on#so i've got those across the chest and arms and then the torso is smoother in my mind#also ik dar is supposed to be like twice pleck's size but it's hard to stand these people next to each other#my brother said they made up a thing called mass shifting in transformers g1 to excuse the scale issues. so i'll do it too. get off my case
