Share What you can Food Drive – Lisle Convention and Visitors Bureau
Share What You Can Food Drive
Lisle CVB wants to make a big difference for many people in need this holiday season.
To help increase our local area food needs for the holidays, the Lisle Convention & Visitors Bureau is hosting a Share What You Can food drive for Reach Food Pantry, a Lisle based charity that provides food to those in need in the DuPage and surrounding counties.
“This time of year is one of hope and joy for so many people, but it can also be a tremendous strain for those who don’t have enough to eat”, said Diane Homolka Director of the Lisle CVB. “The donations we receive through the food drive will help residents in Lisle and the surrounding area.”
Share What You Can Drive begins October 1 and runs through December 7.
You can participate by dropping off non-perishable food donations at the Lisle Village Hall lobby, 925 Burlington Avenue, Monday – Friday. 8 am – 5 pm. All non-perishable food collected will be delivered to the Reach Food Pantry the second Friday in November and December for distribution. Among the items in demand besides “extra holiday fixings:” canned meats, vegetables and fruit; canned fish; peanut butter; jelly or jam; soups, canned or instant; pasta; rice; and cereal. All donations are greatly appreciated. For more information, contact Diane Homolka, Lisle CVB Executive Director 630.769.1000 or email [email protected].
Reach Food Pantry is a non-profit 501c 3 organization serving 200 families each month, delivers food to those sick and shut in, and serves as one of several emergency pantries in DuPage County. 4324 Yackley, Lisle, IL 60532 | 630.969.8274
