TYYYYYYYY its been at least five minutes so im allowed to brag once more than i make most of my own makeup from scratch <3
the only stuff i dont make myself is my gray (mehron paradise storm gray) bcs i havent made a good formula yet for face paint. + i dont make my mascara (thrive causemetics, its pricey but it makes my eyes itch less than other mascaras. its unsafe to make mascara if ur not experienced enough w preservatices bcs. mold), the eyeliners i use on my waterline (also cautious bcs of mold, i havent made a formula yet thatll stick to my waterline either), + i use nyx felt tip eyeliner for fine lines as the chemicals used to create a thin, non-bleeding, waterproof eyeliner like that all are derived from coconut. which im allergic too. coconut is in everything. it is in EVERYTHING!!
#the only products i use that are coconut free are clinique black honey og formula + burts bees tinted lip shimmer#burts bees lip shimmer can be a hit or miss bcs it contains castor oil which ppl can grow allergic to#but im not allergic yet so. im thriving ig#i get coconut-free preservatives and emulsifiers from a nice us based company#and my pigments are from justpigments.com which is a small business based in tuscon AZ#rly good pigments for a lot cheaper per oz than a lot of larger companies based outside the us

people talking authoritatively online about post mortem cosmetizing are full of shit because i've never met any two funeral directors who cosmetize the same. not even including lady attendant work, just the men. my coworker exclusively uses maybelline dream matte mousse (really) & uses red lipstick for natural blush. all the men i make up get tightlined & clinique black honey on their lips
#script#applying foundation entirely across the face decreases contrast + makes it look flat#so adding undetectable liner along the eye closure line adds definitition back to the eyes & makes them pop#black honey is the best shade i've found for imitating natural living lip coloration on a wide range of skintones#because it adds warmth without a lot of pigment#i could talk abt this all day.#black honey is one of the most expensive things in my kit tho its all drugstore unless its deaccessioned from my or a friends collection

Just shoved a load of black eyeshadow into a purple liquid lipstick I had and now I have black lipstick... yayyyyy. This kicks so much ass
#remember kids u can make your own coloured lipsticks v easy esp if u start off w a light colour#or maybe lip gloss. i tried it w that once and it didnt work out but maybe that was a me problem#just add the pigment and bam yay :)

Benson putting lipstick on Randy, holding his chin for a steady canvas, dragging it along Randy's lips in slow uncharacteristic tenderness, not wanting to risk it breaking off.
Once Benson is done, Randy's lips a striking shade of red, he gives his face a once over. Taking in his diluted pupils, lashes like threads of gold, cheeks sporting a rosy flush, lips still slightly parted from the application process.

by now it must be over 15 years since I bought this and wanted to try doing the faceup myself, I'm finally old enough to go "actually it's fine to just paint watercolours on top what's already there who cares if it rubs off or stains"
#turns out resin is extremely toxic and you need very specific sealant and a proper mask so 16 year old me gave up#it's infuriating to paint on this as is but it does sort of work#poor lad has the driest looking lips possible but jesus it was hard getting any pigment on there#bjd#plötsligt händer det!

havanese come in pretty much any color and pattern besides like, merle and dilute coats i think

finding a good lip liner is so difficult bc i literally have hyperpigmentation on my lips where the lip liner would go so if i wanna put liner on i need something dark to mask the hyperpigmentation but then the dark color clashes with the pink middle part of my lips so much and ughhhhhvdjsihej

decided im not going to buy more makeup or skincare until my current ones run out im not falling into the consumerism trap
#not ideal bc i got a concealer thats like two shades too light for me and it makes me look gray#will just have to experiment with mixing in some of the foundation i have thats too dark 😭#also one of my eyeshadow pallettes has the most unusable shades ever but thats on me for buying it#just finished a lip gloss tho#actually took the stopper out and im scraping around inside it now but only have afew more uses left i think#also my lip oil nearly finished which is crazy bc i got that in november#i have two other lip products i want to finish but one is plumping and i hate the feeling so badddd#but it has to be done.#and then i have a plan on what i want to try out after those#actually havent bought anything this year yet. so maybe i can go a year without ..#also its been 6 months since ive had my mascara but im not throwing it away sorry like good luck to people who do that#bc i'd rather save up money to do something or give it to charity than just keep buying variations of the same shit i already have..#its crazy im overwhelmed and all of my products can fit into one pencil case size bag how do those people w big drawers of stuff live#you cant possibly use all of that can you?? idk#somehow i ended up with 4 foundations which is annoyingg#although ive basically finished one. maybe one pump left in there?#and i have the clinique one that my aunt got for me in my sisters shade. which im thinking about giving to her bc it just cant work for me#why she thought we could use the same shade is beyond me. interesting how it wasnt my shade she chose but hers..... whatever#then i'll only have the two.. one of them im halfway done with and the other i cant tell bc of the bottle but probably similar#i have to mix them and add blue pigment to get a shade match 😭#the only thing i worry about is not finishing my eyeshadows bc i cant really wear it every day...#i made a lot of progress on this colourgram one . it isnt very good i must say#its kind of just dusty. also clearly not designed for my skintone#like theres this light pink shade that i use as basically a white bc thats how it reads on my skin#and im light-medium ..
