The teenager drabble of the AU collection is one of my favorites. Could you let us know how was it when Lin finally agreed to be Tenzin's girlfriend? I'm in serious need of some fluff here
Hi anon~ sorry for taking so long to answer. It took me a while to figure out what might have happened when Tenzin asked Lin out.
Nothing went according to his plan.
A sudden storm swept across the city, ruining Tenzin's picnic date for Lin. He thought he was about to have a heart attack asking if she wanted to go out to dinner instead. By some miracle, she agreed. Maybe she said yes because he asked over the phone and she had no idea he was sweating bullets.
As soon as they hung up, Tenzin practically screamed into his pillow with joy. Aang knocked and opened the door. "Are you okay?"
Tenzin coughed and gave a thumbs up. "Yes, I'm okay."
Aang gave him a look, a smile growing at the flushed pink on his son's face. "Is it something related to a girl?"
"No, Dad. Just...it's nothing."
"O-okay," Aang replied sing-songy, closing the door. "I hope you have a betrothal necklace ready for Lin."
"DAD!!" He doesn't wallow in the embarrassment for too long. Peering out the window, the rains are insistent and neverending. If he's going to go on a date, he better get everything in order.
He manages to get a dinner reservation at a casual restaurant. He's been there before with Lin and his siblings last year, and they all enjoyed it.
He knows that the flower shops should still be open, if he hurries. One bouquet of panda-lillies, and yellow roses. Lin loves yellow roses because they remind her of sunshine and spring.
Well, as it turns out, most of the flower shops closed because some of the streets are flooding with a feet of water. Tenzin visits every single one, hoping and praying for one to have at least a few panda-lillies and yellow roses. None of them do. They were all sold out or packed away due to the sudden storm.
Biting his lip, Tenzin points at all the pink and red roses, carnations, and orchids.
"I'll take them all."
If he can't get Lin panda lillies or yellow roses, he'll buy her half a flower shop.
But he doesn't think how he'll protect the flowers on his way to pick up Lin. The rain doesn't show any signs of stopping, but fortunately, Oogi is with him on this stressful journey.
No matter how much he airbends, Tenzin keeps getting soaked and drenched by the downpour. He bends off the water one last time as he stands in front of the Beifong residence. Tenzin tries to create an air bubble to keep the flowers as dry as possible.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
The door opens and Tenzin's heart melts and tumbles with joy.
Lin is dressed in a soft pink cheongsam, with the subtle tint of blush on her cheeks and a rosy lipstick. Her hair is curled much neater, and there's a pearl hairpin in her hair.
'I should have made the betrothal necklace already.'
"You look...wow," he whispers, eyes locked on her outfit.
Lin shifts and avoids his eyes, trying not to smile too hard. "Thanks..." She studies him and his usual robes. "You look dry."
"Huh?" He peers down at himself. "Oh, yeah. It's raining. A lot. Super hard."
"Yeah."
Tenzin feels his palms getting sweaty. "Uh, if you don't want to go out tonight, it's ok because of the--"
"No, I want to go out tonight," Lin insists. "I got all dolled up anyway. I don't want to waste it."
All Tenzin can do is nod, and he extends out his arms. "Um, this is also for you."
Lin catches the overly large bouquets of flowers. "Oh, thanks. They're really nice."
"I, um," he rubs the back of his neck, hoping he doesn't sound like an idiot, "I couldn't find any yellow roses or panda lillies, so...I just bought everything this old man had."
Lin takes in every detail of the flowers, a smile growing on her face. "I still love it. Thanks for getting these, Tenz."
"Of course," he says tenderly, feeling his own happiness peeking through. "Uh, do you want to leave the flowers here so that they don't get ruined in the rain?"
"Sure."
Maybe things are looking up for them, despite the storm.
They have Oogi to help them get across the city. Tenzin has an umbrella for Lin.
It breaks mid-flight and Lin starts to get wet. Tenzin makes sure Oogi is steady before hopping in the back and trying to dry off Lin.
"I'm sorry! I thought this umbrella would be okay--"
"Just dry me off when we get to the restaurant," Lin orders, pressing her palm at her forehead to keep her makeup intact. "I'll just keep getting soaked."
Tenzin bites his lip. "We're almost there, I promise."
Dinner should be okay. They're only a few minutes away.
They've made it and Tenzin draws out as much water as he can. But Lin is instantly touching her hair. It's frizzed a bit from the neat curls that he saw 20 mins earlier. Lin pats it down and tries to curl it with her own fingers to tame it.
When the young teens look at the door, they see the sign:
"CLOSED. Diner was flooded. We will reopen in two days. We apologize for the inconvenience."
Grey eyes read the words.
Left to right.
Left to right again.
Lin shrugs. "Well, we can--"
"Are you fucking kidding me?! First the weather, then the flowers, now this?! What the hell, universe?!"
"Don't worry about it, Tenz. We can probably grab some street food around the corner."
Tenzin groaned and he buried his face into his hands, rubbing. "I don't want you to have street food! I want you to have a nice dinner or a picnic on the top of the park hill."
"We can do that another day then."
"No. Ughhh!" he storms up at the door, glaring at the sign. "I wanted to ask you to be my girlfriend on the perfect date, with the perfect flowers, and perfect food. But now it's ruined!"
Suddenly, he's spun around and hands grip his robes, yanking him down. Warm and soft lips collide against his and it takes Tenzin a few moments to realize that Lin Beifong is kissing him. Lin exhales slowly, her breath sweeping across his cheeks and rustling his eyelashes. She pulls away and Tenzin feels like he drank an entire barrel of cactus juice.
Her body is only inches away from his, and he wants so desperately for that gap to diminish.
"You..you're...my girlfriend."
Lin smirks and Tenzin notices how her lipstick has smeared slightly, just outside the natural outline of her lips. And he wants to smear it more, until it disappears completely on his own.
"Am I?"
"Huh?" He tilts his head. "Wait, did I ask you?"
Lin shrugs.
"Do you want to be my girlfriend?"
Her arms wrap around his neck and Lin stands on her tiptoes, pressing her lips against his again.
"Does that answer your--"
The last thing Lin expects is for Tenzin to pick her up and run into the rain. Her legs wrap around his waist as the rain descends upon them, and Tenzin creates an air funnel, blasting them into the air.
"Lin Beifong is my girlfriend!" Tenzin exclaims to the heavens, and Lin tightens her hold on him as the earth beckons to her feet again. The rain pelts harder onto them as if heaven gives its blessing to them.
"Tenzin!" Lin yelps, the fabric of their clothes clinging to their skin.
The airbender promptly and safely lowers them both to safety. As soon as Lin's feet are planted on the earth, Tenzin cups both sides of her face and pulls her for a kiss.
He pulls away, grinning. "I promise to be a good husband."
Lin laughs and gives him a look. She pokes his forehead. "You keep skipping steps, Airhead."
"I can't think straight."
"Obviously. Your head is in the clouds."
His hands wrap around her waist, pulling her closer to him. "Then bring me back to earth," he murmurs, gazing into her eyes.
For the next ten minutes, the earthbender and airbender seal their relationship beneath the storm. Sudden bursts of energy command their bodies to run through the streets, dancing and spinning under the rain. Part of Lin's makeup runs a little, but Tenzin doesn't care.
Lin Beifong is his girlfriend.
And Lin was right. They do find an alley of street food vendors open, with plastic covers to protect their customers from the brunt of the storm.
Lin eats a chicken skewer and Tenzin has a veggie skewer.
Tenzin reaches over to hold Lin's hand under the table.

linzin au/fic idea where they never break up. Lin leaves the police force and Tenzin quits being a politician so the two can become nomads, traveling the world instead. Letting go of their ‘earthly tether,’ in a way. But also, not really.
Lin has two kids back to back (just to get it all over with). Both are airbenders, who she calls the heir and the spare in her head but never out loud. To her relief, they’re well-behaved, calm and gentle kids to raise, not anything like Su or Bumi growing up.
She gets pregnant again on accident years after (when menopause seemed more likely) and out comes a terror, an earthbender who’s more Beifong than she cares to admit.
Lin is the less fun parent out of the two of them, often playing “bad cop” in serious moments. She knows she can overreact/be too strict with them, but her terror of becoming just like her mother blinds her sometimes.
Tenzin brings up often how she’s not happy (and expresses his worry for her in the same breath). Lin always replies back by saying how she’s not unhappy, she just isn’t sure what she is.
Present day has them traveling to the South Pole so Tenzin can teach Korra airbending to complete her avatar training. On their way there, they stop in republic city only to discover just how radical these ‘equalists’ are. They heard whispers on their travels, but they didn’t realize how extreme they’ve become.
Tenzin thinks it’s better for them to stay in the South Pole so Korra can complete her training and become a fully realized avatar before coming back to help the city. But Lin, recognizing the severity of it all, eventually convinces him that they need to bring Korra to republic city now to play peacemaker.
They move back to air temple island with Korra to tell the world the avatar is back and ready to bring peace. Tenzin, Lin and their 3 kids (plus Korra) settle in an actual home on air temple island, sleeping in actual beds for the first time in a long time,
And Book 1 begins.

I've been playing Stardew Valley and named my character Lin. Then I had an idea for an AU. What if Lin was taken by her real father and her grandpa gave her a farm to manage? She becomes a supplier of goods to Republic City and falls in love with Tenzin. They become a couple, but when Lin introduces him to her dad, he immediately forbids the relationship. Her dad doesn't want her to be close to Toph, afraid that she'll know about her true identity. All her life, Lin thought she was a non-bender who just loves the earth, which is why she loves farming.

I believe that Tenzin actually made a betrothal necklace, but since we don't see Pema wearing any, I believe he made it for Lin, and since they don't end up together, the necklace now sitting collecting dust inside a box he kept on his study. He can't bring himself to give it to Pema because when he crafted it, it wasn't her in his mind, but he can't make another one either cause it's something he holds sacred. That betrothal necklace was the closest thing he got to marrying the love of his life, yet when he decided to not giving it turned out to be the lost of his life. So, every once in a blue moon, he would open the box, admiring the necklace and wising it was wrapped around Lin's neck rather than collecting dust in his study.

LinZin Soulmate AU
Tenzin knew that soulmates don't always end up together. He smiles and nods along when Pema talks about it, but he knew that he met his soulmate a long time ago, and he let her go because of duty.

Red
Written for Lin Beifong's Week (Day 6: Soulmates)
Pairing: Lin Beifong/Bumi II
--
When Lin was a young girl, she was told many stories.
Of course, there were ones about her mother and her friend’s heroics in the Hundred Years War and beyond– they’ve become part of regular conversations growing up. There were the outlandish ones made up by her Uncle Sokka, though– those never failed to make her laugh– and countless others about the spirits and mystical creatures that populated the world around them and beyond.
Of them all there was one that struck Lin in particular. The story of Red.
Yue was the goddess of the moon, the one who worked harmoniously with the ocean spirit La. Yes, this was the story everyone had become familiar with for many years.
However, what many did not know was Yue’s reach as the matchmaker goddess.
How? What did that mean?
Through the color red.
The Red strings of fate. A person’s connection to others manifested through these strings. Friendships, family, and other relationships, the people someone meets can make an impact on their life in one way or another.
Forever connected through a kind of love.
Hearing this story for the first time, Lin bounced about, giddy with curiosity. Green eyes widened the size of dinner plates and sparkled brilliantly.
Was this story true? What would this mean for her when she was older?
The mind buzzed with the possibilities. She could not wait to grow up.
When Lin went to bed that night, she dreamt of red.
***
Lin hated the color red.
As it turned out, red was not her color.
Good fortunes, her ass.
Red. It was the color of loss.
The blood shed from her comrades when the missions she led went wrong. Especially the first one. That one always stayed with her. It turned to a festering sore that was never able to fully heal.
One seemingly minor detail missed, one rash call, and the world shifted on its head.
Telling parents and significant others of their losses did not get any easier. Flashbacks of their ear piercing cries, the sight of all the blood. There was so much of it and she was unable to do a thing about it.
She shuddered so hard her bones ached.
As the years went on, the weight became increasingly heavy. Day by day she internalized the guilt, letting it accumulate. This was the burden she had to bear. Lin grit her teeth and carried on.
It was the color of betrayal.
The blood that spattered across her cheek when Suyin rebuffed her disapproval of her lifestyle and turned against her.
A finger trailed down the side of her face in remembrance of the incident before it fell to her side limply.
Though they have become few and far between nowadays, there were still moments when she could hear the metal cables snapping and feel the resulting blinding pain if she thought about it too long.
She clenched her fists. Tight enough her knuckles blanched. Nails were too damned short to break the skin of the palm of her hand. A heated exhale through her nose accompanied a severe rake through loose hair. Desperate for another distraction and feel something.
Red. It was anger. It was the color she saw when she found out about… her… and them.
“Look, Lin. We have been growing apart for a long time now. We are completely different people. It was time we admit we are going down different paths in life.”
“Then you talk to me like the adults we are!” she screeched. “Or rather, supposed to be,” raising a wary eye at the acolyte who was still clinging onto Tenzin’s arm.
“Tenzin and I are soulmates,” she chimed in. “You can’t give him what he wants. What he needs.”
The audacity– “Who are you interrupting our conversation?!”
“Don’t talk to Pema that way!” he warned.
Pema…
The air suddenly pulled from her lungs. Shock and hurt flashed across her face before settling to fierce anger. “You cannot tell me what to do. Not now. Not ever.”
“Lin!”
Tenzin’s call to her was drowned out by the blood thundering in her ears. She turned away in a blind fury, desperate to go somewhere. Anywhere. Nowhere. Lin moved directionless through blurred tears, the earth beneath her feet led her way out.
Those times when she went to bed at the end of the day, Lin rolled away from the moon’s light.
Some nights, she tried to think about those stories she used to hear as a little girl. The thoughts made her curl in on herself before pulling the covers up to swallow her whole.
Red was nothing more than a childish dream. Now that she was older, she knew better.
Her sleeps became dreamless.
***
Lin did not believe in soulmates. She found it to be a preposterous idea.
To find and have someone who is connected to you with happiness and good fortune? Give her a break.
But–
When Bumi returned to Republic City from his United Forces deployment, the first person he wanted to see was her.
It had been years since they saw each other last. He looked good in his red and gold uniform. Really good. Down to his wild hair and couple of buttons fastened askew. Even with how brutal being part of the United Forces can be, especially in his position, Bumi was still… Bumi.
The breath of fresh air he helped bring into her life was hard to ignore.
When he tried to treat Lin to a bouquet of flowers and strawberry shortcake for her birthday. It was the first one they spent together.
“Bumi, I appreciate the thought, but I’m not touching that.”
“What? It’s not like I made it. We’ve been through that mess before. Got it from PikPak’s Pastries,” thumbing in a vague direction over his shoulder outside. “It’s light and looks good.” He waggled his eyebrows and wore that classic rakish grin.
“I’m allergic to strawberries,” she deadpanned.
He froze. “Really? Well– ha–,” he raked a hand through his coarse hair and smiled sheepishly. “Sabotage! Sabotage, I tell you! I thought I had this whole evening set up with dinner and a dessert. Of course it would not all go to plan. Strawberry cake and flowers… foolproof romantic treat in theory, yeah? Well such is not my style it seems,” he chuckled.
“Hey–” she gently cupped his cheek, smiling kindly. “You know, they sell another one that is similar and made with cherries instead.”
Bumi immediately perked up. “Cherries, yeah! Cherries are good!”
She softly nodded with a warmth in her eyes. “Cherries are good.”
The two took the trip hand in hand to the bakery and picked up fresh slices.
The rest of the night was spent in, exchanging stories and taking comfort in the other’s company.
It was a happy birthday. One of the best ones she had in a while.
When Bumi and Lin would settle into bed for the night, his arms brought her in tight, cradling her head and waist. A tender kiss placed on her forehead before gently whispering, “Goodnight, Linny. Love you.”
Lin melted into his embrace, turning her head into the crook of his neck to whisper, “Good night. I love you, too.” Eyes fluttered, she was a breath away from slumber.
For an instant, Lin glanced over Bumi’s shoulder and caught the moon in their bedroom window.
Bright and whole, it illuminated the night smiling down at her.
Lips curved up slowly before sleep overtook the couple for the night.
Maybe–
Just maybe.
Red wasn’t so bad of a color after all.

I constantly think about Linzin's secret baby, don't blame me
I think all his brothers (yes, they would still exist) would see him as a hero, he's funny and intelligent - at first they don't really understand why their mother isn't also Brísa's mother
It would be cute for them to call Lin a hero later too
Pema doesn't like him and Brísa doesn't give a damn about her, her obsession with this whole soulmate thing sees him as an obstacle
she never did anything (despite wanting him to disappear) but Lin always made it clear what Brísa should or shouldn't accept when she was alone in the air temple
tenzin is complicated

I think Tenzin is lowkey Filipino mom coded lol
Hear me out with this scenario in a Linzin AU:
Korra stayed in the city late at night with Kang and Jin. Originally, it was so the boys could make sure Korra wasn't getting suckered into the wrong things through Mako and Bolin.
Eventually, it turned into following an Equalist and almost getting caught...
When they get back to the island, it's waaay in the middle of the night.
As soon as their feet touched the floor in the main house, the lights turn on.
The trio freezes and grimaces when harsh grey eyes glare at them, hands behind his back.
"Hey Tenzin..."
Kang and Jin try to tell her not to say anything, but Tenzin beats them to the punch.
"Welcome back home, you three."
...
"What? You're not going to tell me good evening? Or hello? Or anything."
"Uh....hi?"
"No talking!"
Korra's mouth clamps shut.
"Do me a favor," Tenzin instructs eerily calmly.
From behind, the boys can see their sisters sneaking around and eavesdropping. They try to shoot them a glare without getting caught by their father.
Jin shifts. "What?"
"Look at the clock. What time is it?"
"It says, uh..."
"3:05...am."
Tenzin claps. "Oh, so you actually do know what time it is. You know how to tell time!"
The girls in the back hold their laughter.
"It's 3:05 A.M, you three! A.M!"
The trio shrinks smaller as Tenzin's voice rises higher.
"You think this house is a hotel? Huh?!" Tenzin seethes, face red. "You check in and check out whenever you want?!"
"No..." Jin mutters under his breath.
"In fact, I'll be your receptionist!" He claps once. "Good evening, sirs and madam. Checking in, again? It's 3 o'clock in the morning!! Would you like some tea? No? Perhaps some cookies to wake you up?"
Mei and Areum cover their mouths, quietly smacking each other as they stand hunched over.
Korra and Kang make the mistake of letting out a giggle.
Tenzin's glare sharpens on them, and the trio feels their souls being ripped out from their bodies.
"You think this is funny?! If I wanted to be funny, I would have become a clown!!"
The trio's resolve crumbles and they start cracking up at him. Until Tenzin whacks each of them on the back of the head with a newspaper.
"Quit it! You want me to die an early death, huh?"
"Dad, you're being dramatic now."
"You looove to drive your mother and I crazy. Is that it? You want me to be so stressed out, I can't grow a beard any more."
"What does that have anything to do with being out late?"
Whack!
"I expect to see you at morning meditation!"
In the background, Lin smacks her two daughters for eavesdropping and not being in bed.

What did Linzin even do during those 7 years apart? Did Lin try dating anyone else?
Hi, anon!
Thanks for the ask~ I love getting Linzin questions! 😍
So, Tenzin spent those years visiting the other air temples. He stayed there to study and pass the time because being in Republic City just reminded him too much of Lin. The breakup really broke his heart, but he wasn’t mad at Lin—he just didn’t understand why they had to break up. He needed time to process and heal.
During his time away, he focused a lot on meditating and trying to connect to the spirit world, though he didn’t have much luck with it. He also dove into reading historical books in the library. Whenever his dad visited, they’d train together, but Tenzin made a point to avoid his mom and siblings whenever they came by. He didn’t want to hear any news about Lin. His mom kept urging him to come back home, but Tenzin always replied with, “In time, Mom.” Of course, he couldn’t stop his dad from slipping in a word or two about Lin anyway.
While Lin embraced her new identity as a Beifong, her first year was anything but smooth. The press, of course, jumped on the story, and the media frenzy was intense. Toph had to step in to manage the chaos, but it was still a mess. Rumors and misleading articles about Lin and her dad circulated for a while though they just chose to ignore them and they eventually died down after a few months.
During those years, Lin focused on training with Toph and of course farming. She also met a botanist named Yao, Choi's son, who became a helpful companion. Yao helped her visit the Southern Air Temple, but unfortunately, she was denied the chance to see Tenzin. At other air temples they visited, they were simply told that the Avatar's son wasn't there.
Yao had a small aircraft he used for his expeditions to discover new plants, and he often invited Lin along. Their shared love for plants made them fast friends. Over time, Yao developed deeper feelings for Lin, but he respected her feelings for Tenzin. When he finally confessed, Lin gently turned him down, but they remained close friends.
This is Yao.

An incomplete and not in order list Because my brain is running a hundred different directionssssss
He is 10 years older than her but nothing starts with them until after the Linzin breakup so Lin’s like 33 ish he’s 43, long after she’s established in the RCPD and Toph and Su are gone.
Bumi wasn’t a violent man towards family and friends but the next time Bumi was in port after he heard what Tenzin did to Lin. Dropping her for Pema. (And expecting a kid within a year of breaking up with Lin) he decked Tenzin in front of Pema and the other air acolytes on ATI. Dropping Tenzin like a sack of bricks to the stone. “That’s for Linny.” He all but spat at the dazed Tenzin.
They write a lot. A LOT a lot. Lin receives several letters at the same time because Bumi has to mail them all at the same port after a while at sea. She saves every one of them but she would never admit it and Bumi assumes she tosses them but they’re hidden under a stone in her house. Lin doesn’t write as often to him as it usually ends up at the wrong port for him to be able to collect it.
They’re actually married but NO ONE KNOWS because Lin won’t wear a ring when she’s at work and no one can catch her when she’s not at work and Bumi doesn’t feel the need to tell anyone if they haven’t figured it out yet (*cough* Tenzin being oblivious)
One time Korra catches Bumi kissing Lin while they think no one was around at ATI and she was shoook
Bumi didn’t get any updates on what happened after Amon until it was weeks after everyone was at Katara’s house and as soon as he heard about it he couldn’t get there fast enough and no one dared tell Commander Bumi II that he couldn’t leave his assignment to get to his wife after what they heard happened.
Lin was in such bad state omg all the other hc injuries and nightmares but she was so pale and sickly thin when he got to her. He pulled her close to him and Lin just breaks down crying and apologizing over and over. (The night terror / comfort ficsssss please I beg)
When Bumi gets his airbending Lin grows distant a bit not really a huge fan of the new development but not discouraging him from his excitement. They do eventually talk it out but that’s kinda post series.
Bumi frantically digging through the wreckage of Kuvira’s mech to find Lin. (A Fog Au where Lin and Su are thrown into the spirit world by the explosion and Lin gets lost in the fog of lost souls- I think I have a few of those posts somewhere still)
Bumi joking that Mako/Rina(oc) or Bolin/Opal need to give him and Lin grankids soon because he’s retired and his niblings are growing up and finding other things to spend their time on than joking around with uncle Bumi.
Bumi loves making Lin smile and always manages to get a smirk at least as he’s goofing off in company. Sometimes he gets a chuckle and his week is made. Nothing can beat his Linny smiling and laughing.

"The actions we took had consequences, it was our duty to take them responsibly"
In a world where Korra escapes from the South Pole and upon arriving at the Air Temple she only meets Tenzin, who is being overwhelmed by his new role as minister, he cannot go with her to train her because he promised to take over that position.
Why? Well, her niece, Dawa, is about to give birth and she must take her leave from the council.
Korra manages to be accepted on the island and now she will learn there, and she can also find out more about her mysterious teacher, a seemingly solitary Tenzin who only surrounds himself with his acolytes... Although, when the sun rises, a young lady with a sullen expression appears out of nowhere and calls her teacher "father."
Where did it come from?
🦋
Hello! I've come up with a rather ambitious AU, sorry if the approach is so ambiguous, below you will have some visual support for two original characters that "influence a lot"
🌻Dawa🌻
Tumblr media
I'm not going to be mysterious, playing connect the clues is Korra's job, not ours jsjsjs
Dawa is a 34-year-old airbender, a minister in Republic City, and the first granddaughter of Avatar Aang and the Beifong Clan.
She is a cheerful woman who is always looking for a way to help. She is going through her first pregnancy, so she has decided to distance herself from the council. Tenzin, being the good guy that he is, has offered to cover for her during her leave.
She has trouble seeing from a distance so she carries her glasses with her, Korra wouldn't meet her until the party that Tarrlok organizes.
Tumblr media
She was fortunate enough to grow up with Aang, she learned her bending from him, she spent a lot of time at the Island Temple so she is also close to the acolytes and her uncle Tenzin.
Yes, she is Lin's daughter, and she had her when she was around 17, so her upbringing was the responsibility of the entire family (Katara, Aang, Tenzin, Suyin, etc.) a group effort to allow Lin to finish the police academy.
Tumblr media
When Aang died Dawa was 18 years old, it was a pretty hard blow for her because she saw him as a father figure.
She spent years on pilgrimage as a form of therapy, not settling in Republic City again until he was about 28.
She often clashes with Lin, but they love each other quite a bit. She had a distant relationship with her father, Bumi, in her childhood, but they became quite close when she manifested her element.
She has problems relating to her siblings, and deeply fears that she won't be able to be a good mother, so she puts it off quite a bit.
🫀Yeshe🫀
Tumblr media
She is the second daughter, she is 17 years old and unlike her sister she did not live with Aang, she was barely one year old when he died.
She is very similar to Lin, both physically and emotionally. She was born and raised in Republic City, primarily in Temple Island.
Although she is almost the same age as Korra, she doesn't meet her until she arrives on the island. Their close age allows them to make friends fairly quickly; she is more of a bawd than she seems.
She has a very bad relationship with Dawa, but it's even worse with Bumi, she doesn't even call him father and avoids hanging out with him at all costs. She's a mama's girl through and through, she wants to be Lin's pride at all costs, she knows she can't be "the world's favorite" because unlike her brothers she doesn't bend air and she's self-conscious about it, but at the same time she's the only one who can be seen as "Just a Beifong" and she clings to that title with her nails.
Tumblr media
Lin was more present in her upbringing so they are closer, there is a conscious effort to not let Yeshe develop the same tendencies as Lin, but that's okay, Yeshe doesn't want to just "follow in her mother's footsteps", she wants to take care of her, so she will put on the uniform and stand up against crime.
When Yeshe was very little there was an attempt by Lin to separate herself from Bumi so he was not present in her daily life, that made Lin's work life difficult until Tenzin began to give support, Yeshe ended up seeing him as her father and refuses to take away that title.
Tumblr media
Yeshe may not really remember it but both Aang and Toph were present for her birth and pampered her to bits.
Aang was more aware of the damage he had done to his children through favoritism and misinvested attention; he did not want his granddaughters to grow up under that umbrella.
After all, they were both his little princesses.

One child is missing! But little Tsarlis will have his own post.
This is a rewriting job too so I'll take some time between each post about it (As with everything, I'm very scattered, you know that)
And that's it, we'll go into more detail about this story, but if you're curious about something, you can ask (?)
Anyway, we'll be reading each other again~

poll will only be active for 24 hours because I want to write tomorrow before i'm busy for every weekend until the new year. More detailed descriptions below the cut if you want to know what it is you're voting for lol
Pemlin AU where pema is a prostitute and Lin kidnaps her, it's fun to play with. In chapters 4 and 5 Kya shows up and gives Lin a lot of shit for what she's doing, and we get Pema into a healing pool and see a lot of scars :)
pemlin hurt/comfort on the airship. it's technically pemlinzin but Tenzin is K.O.d on the journey back. There's no healer. Pema wakes up in a lot of pain.
Chastity fic. It's crack. It's smut. It makes only partial sense. Pema and Lin lock Tenzin in a fucking cock cage because he's distracted in the bedroom. Musta been in a mood when I started that
the amon torture fic is just about to break 10k words already. Slice of life after the rally. Lin, Tenzin, Pema, and Rohan share a cell :) then its a recovery journey/ slow burn (extremely slow)
more action-focused fic where both Lin and Tenzin get kidnapped at some point by crazy people. Lin rescues Tenzin, then the reverse happens and Tenzin Rescues Lin (with the help of Kya and Saikhan) disclaimer: this is NOT linzin it's more Tenzin and Lin friendship
my LOK fic that has the most hits by leaps and bounds. Chapter two would be Lin beating the ever loving shit out of tenzin, tenzin remembering being brainwashed, and lin visiting pema in the hospital
i started two WIPs yesterday. At this rate i'll never finish anything.

Okay, bear with me here- but an AU where Tenzin marries Pema, an acolyte he meets on Air Temple Island (cut the age difference) until one fine day he meets Lin, he is totally smitten and has fallen head over heels in love with her. Lin reciprocates but can't get herself to get attached to a married man.
Do Pema and Tenzin get divorced? After two kids? Two airbenders. Is divorce worth the risk when he doesn't even know if Lin will have him?
Will Lin finally break free and confess her feelings to him? Does she really expect him to leave his wife for her?
Does Pema know her husband's in love with another woman? Is she going to do what it takes to keep her man?
Does Bumi swoop in to woo the woman he doesn't realize that Tenzin is in love with. Does Lin feel like she needs to move on and accepts Bumi's advancements? Or does she have wild rebound sex trying to forget Tenzin?
It's kinda like Willow 🫱🏼‍🫲🏼My Brother's Girlfriend but with more twists and turns and drama haha. I don't know if it's the brain rot or the way I've been in my Linzin feels. Whether it's my personal life or my playlist right now, Linzin is keeping me afloat. Linzin is and will forever be my Roman Empire.
Also I've got SO MANY Linzin one-shot wips help
