People make mistakes. I do. Many times, many, MANY times. But we should never forget that when we do, we need to acknowledge it and recognize the effect it has on the people around us.

Janine made a mistake, and it affected the whole school, especially Mrs. Howard, who clearly warned her about what might happen. Sometimes when we mess up, we unintentionally involve others. People who didn’t ask for it. And what do they do? They adjust.

Barbara stepped in and helped by allowing them to use her facility. Then what happened? They asked for more. And when she had enough and drew the line, they said it was unfair. That part really gets to me. When someone is trying to help, and instead of being appreciated, they are met with more demands. When Janine and Gregory returned and used the bathroom again, saying, " We would help Barbara if she needed it, right?" We keep saying things like, "You aren't doing enough" or "You should help because one day you might be in that same situation." Instead of asking for more, maybe stop for a moment and thank them. Show appreciation. In life, when someone is pushed too far and finally reacts, they are suddenly seen as the bad guy. It's like riding a horse and hitting it too hard to make it move faster, but when it throws you off, you blame the horse. People ignore what led up to that point and only judge the reaction.

I'm glad it all worked out in the episode. But in real life, it doesn't always go that way. Sometimes people reach their limit and walk away. And that’s something worth thinking about.
