Fanfiction prompt: what Would be if legend saw Marin in Wind whenever he looked at him like a child he and Marin could have had that also loves seagulls and can even become one just how Marin always wished she could

With a sister that loves hibiscus flowers

Both living on a tiny island and exploring the world

He even has such sweet little ears like her (like how they look when the parents are of human and hylian descent)

But just like Marin Wind knows the wind fish when nobody else knows about the dreaming god

He even knows the gods true name

And legend just thinks that his wish to have a child with Marin got granted finally he got something in return for his endless suffering

He doesn’t even try to think another solution (he can’t do that he can’t afford to lose the only thing left of Marin)

Whenever he sees Wind (who has half the windfish's name already) do something that Marin would have liked he can’t help but smile and hope that his lover ended up returning as wind

Even if he knows that it is wishful thinking (he prays it isn’t ,he prays daily, he hopes and begs to himself that Wind is Marin's son that she lived a good life)

And at some point he even started to think of Wind as the one thing left of Marin even calling him Marin in his own head

Till it starts slipping out and he accidentally calls Wind Marin outright to his face

And as he fully expects Wind to break his illusion that Marin was still with him

Wind awkwardly asks him not to use his mom’s name for him (who ambiguously is never named nor is his dad and a perfect opportunity for the story)

And by then Legend just starts crying because a part of her truly is still alive (still with him)

If Wind's mom truly was Legend's Marin will forever be a mystery because she is already gone

But he decides to completely ignore even a little doubt about her survival

Because there is no way that she isn’t (there can’t be a possibility that he killed her)

He is sure of it

Ur the easiest to rope into horse playing/goofing off and he's very happy abt that

The others can be too serious for too long so he appreciates how u and him lighten them up by trying to give each other noogies (he loses most of the time)

As soon as Wind found out the others could play instruments, he immediately demanded they do campfire songs every night lol

(Most of the time one person caves, even just to idly play smth)

Likes inventing weird new games to play that'll convince as many other people to particpate, he used to do it back home too, like finding the prettiest rock on the island, that way his grandma and even adults could play too :)

Needs to sleep beside someone at night, bc he secretly likes it, back on his adventure going to sleep all by himself (unlike living with his grandma/sister) always was a little hard for him

Very hard to wake up in the morning, sleeps in the latest out of all the Links

Likes to sew! He's still learning, but his grandma used to teach him how so he could help her keep up with his growth spurts/recklessness tearing his clothes up

Idolizes u forever if you embroider, and will watch u like those videos of someone's cat who's fascinated by watching owner craft smth lol (like this ⚫️v⚫️)

Enjoys making stoic people crack their persona and laugh

Also has the wheeziest laugh youve ever heard, it makes u laugh every time, even when he started laughing over a dumb pun

Oh yeah, makes a foul amount of dad jokes for someone whos only like 14 💀

(He once managed to break Time and Legend, which then broke Wars and Twi, and it just continued down the Chain until everyone was crying or on the ground, he wears that shit like a badge and it literally made his confidence go 📈 puffed his chest out and everything lol)

Wild (Breath of the Wild):

U already know everything there is to know abt him??

I dont even have to say it, and it shows when ur around him lol

Like he'll go to do smth stupid like shield surf down death mountain in a unknown Hyrule, and before anyone can even realize thats what he's planning to do you've caught and stopped him and made a compromise to shield surf down some snow bluffs later instead

Or when u know he's gotten new ingredients in some other Link's Hyrule and is going to try and cook with them tonight, so u help him make a regular meal of smth else along with so the boys dont suffer stomaches

Like u can absolutely predict his bullshit all the time, just imagine the most adrenaline junkie thing he could do in that moment with the combination of things around him and you always know what tf he's up to, ur always right lol

Ur the only one who can get him to stop the chaos (besides maybe Time, weirdly enough Sky/Hyrule/Four bc they are the least likely to tell him to stop, so when they do, its usually a very, very bad idea)

Likes hair ornaments, he's got long hair for a reason after all

Likes u to style his hair, and esp if u teach him how to braid or do diff styles <333

He loves that u help cook/at least prep, and u make sure another Link helps too, bc thats a lot of ppl to make food for with little to no help 💀

(Makes u ur fav foods at even the slightest mention of them, like u wont even have to say ur craving Link's already whipped the pan out best housewife fr)

One of the few Links who's adventurous with his clothing, and trying new stuff

Wild was worried abt his Champion tunic getting messed up but was sad he couldn't wear it as much anymore

So u handmade him a new shirt that imitates the old one but with some new designs to represent the Chain! :)

He started crying.

He either hugs so lightly he seems like he's not enjoying it (no true, he's just trying to be polite)

Or he squeezes so hard be pops ur back and nearly breaks a rib

U got the latter for that shirt lol

Any new thing he doesnt remember how to deal with, like how to sew (he knows 1 stitch help), how to wash clothes (dont mix whites and blacks, and colors), how to soothe headaches/muscle aches etc.

He just wanders pitifully over to ur side and looks pitiful lol

Like he's a confused and saddened puppy

And just holds up whatever mess he's made like, "im so sorry, i dont know how to do this pls"

Bc he trusts u to know (the other Links may be hit or miss too tbh lmao)

And ur the least likely to clown him for it too, at least nothing he doesnt also find funny

Everyone was shocked, and thats how u all found out Courage is rlly good with fairies/their best friend no matter the Hyrule

Every time u guys learn smth new abt him it feels so unexpected, like out of left field or smth

It just never seems to fit his usual persona, or at least not what youd expect from him

So needless to say the first time u guys learned he could talk to magical objects that were powerful enough (like the fucking triforce)-

(this was apparently so normal he literally lived with a piece of it just in his room all the time????)

i live with my dad and have to for the foreseeable future, and as misguided as he is, he is (generally) a good person who is just gullible and easily manipulated. he and i just had an argument after biden dropped out because he thinks trump is not as bad as i'm making him out to be, nor has biden done as much as i believe. all that to say, THANK YOU for your work in supplying so much information and so many resources to where i was simply able to go through your blog and send so much of what you've compiled to him. i appreciate your work to spread these things and make them easily accessible.

I'm glad it helps, and what you're doing is so important, I say this to everyone, If you have a Republican or R leaning family member, or long time friend who you know is a good person, someone who can be talked to, the work of days and weeks and months of slowly bring them around makes all the difference and everyone should be doing it. Listen campaigns spend millions on TV ads but evidence shows those are vastly less impactful than one, single, one on one conversation with someone. Which is why campaigns also send out people to knock doors and have people make phone calls, but clearly a conversation that is longer and with someone you already know is SO! impactful, I hope people all sign up to volunteer this election (thats a link btw) but all have the hard conversations with people in your life, find the issue they care about and work on them, this is particularly true of LGBT people, how many Queer people have a grandma or an uncle who we know loves us, but still votes Republican because they haven't connected us their loved one with the GOP's hateful policy ideas, nows the time to have the awkward conversations guys

the shroud parents

Okay, so I’ve been thinking about this for a while 🤔: “Why are the Shroud parents so warm and loving when the impression we had of them from Idia are so... negative?” And then I realized it’s very obviously because CHARACTERS CAN BE UNRELIABLE NARRATORS.

Like. That does NOT mean that what happened to the characters didn’t actually happen. The events very obviously DID happen as described (especially as it pertains to post-OB flashbacks), but it’s how the characters tell the information that paints the perception of events and how certain elements are presented or omitted entirely.

***Content warning: I briefly mention a few dark topics under the cut (including suicidal ideation and depression) and link to a related post on those topics!!***

As an example, let’s look at the Shroud parents. Idia previously described his grandma and dad as being very gloomy and negative people. He also says his parents as being the types to value results over their children’s feelings. We also notably do not see Mr. or Mrs. Shroud in Idia’s backstory flashback when he was going through a difficult patch of coping with Ortho’s death. This all led to us having an impression that the Shroud parents were cold, distant, calculating, and just overall not very good parents. Then we meet the parents in book 7 and Mrs. Shroud is SUPER bubbly, and both parents readily welcome Ortho as an official member of the family. It’s a huge juxtaposition which completely recontextualizes the information Idia previously gave us.

Idia is Mr. Doom and Gloom, a huge pessimist. It could be possible that he was greatly exaggerating elements of his parents’ personalities, usually when it pertains to them asking him to do something he doesn’t want to (ie pulling him out of school to research on his classmates). Alternatively, it’s implied that he barely left his room for two years following Ortho’s death. The lack of the Shroud parents in Idia’s flashback could indicate that as their own method of coping, they distanced themselves or they gave Idia space to heal on his own. Or maybe Idia was even the one who actively shut his parents out? It’s extremely possible, especially given that there are theories floating around that Idia’s memories and thoughts are greatly impacted by grief, depression, and/or suicidal ideation.

This makes me kind of want to go back and reevaluate all the other OB boys’ flashbacks and see just how much of the information could have been colored by the bias and the perspectives of the storytellers 🤔 POV actually adds a LOT to whatever is being told!! Like you can tell in Riddle’s flashback that even though he now knows his mom’s parenting has fucked him up, he doesn’t appear to hold any ill will toward her. He’s moreso confused and unsure how to proceed, feelings which are perfectly encapsulated by Riddle asking why his chest still hurts, even though he has followed every rule his mom has set for him. As a result, Riddle is shown to be a lot more hesitant and charitable to his mother compared to other people.

Interestingly, fans are quick to bypass Riddle’s own neutral telling of his story and demonize his mother (I think maybe because his circumstances are more relatable?), whereas with Idia he tells us the worst of his parents and it paints our ideas about the Shroud parents in accordance with Idia’s telling.

I also wonder if the fandom’s assumption that Leona’s whole country despises him or that Azul’s mom didn’t know about him being bullied is true at all??? Because if you think about it, Leona’s flashbacks only ever depicted palace servants talking badly about him, which are not representative of all of the Sunset Savanna. We don’t meet locals that speak badly of Leona in his hometown event either??? Then for Azul’s flashback, you can’t really take omission of information as confirmation of anything.

This line of thought also applies for the information the boys relay to us; how much of it is embellished or slightly altered in order to project a certain outward image to their peers? Especially considering how NRC is teeming with (mob) students ready to pounce on you if you seem weak??? It’s really interesting stuff to think about.

Which Links do you think have been to formal schools?

Oooo, good question

Sky without a doubt has a formal education; I am not sure what kind of teaching they do at the knight's academy, but I am sure they would teach some kind of math, science, or whatever was known in Skyloft at the time.

I think Four might've also had a formal education, as we can see a school in Minish Cap in Hyrule Town. Then when he was of age, he would've been taken under apprenticeship by his grandfather (or maybe taught smithing at an earlier age, who knows).

For Time, I think he relies heavily on experience. The Kokiri don't have a traditional school, and judging from the little training area and how highly they regard their deity, I think they have a sort of "figure it out" mentality when it comes to, well, figuring stuff out. I don't see Time (especially as a kid) to going to anyone for anything, but I think Talon would teach him some things, especially when he gets together with Malon as that's probably the only adult that Time trusts (since the Great Deku Tree is gone).

Legend is taught by his uncle during his childhood, and does try to go seek more places to learn (as apparently he does travel in pursuit of knowledge, hence why he got caught up in the oracle games/link's awakening). Then, afterwards, tries an apprenticeship with the blacksmith but then just decides experience is the best teacher and travels from there.

Much like Time, Hyrule is also a hands-on learner. I think the reason why he might be so insecure about his place in the Chain is because he wasn't taught properly like some of the other knights; one day he was just given a sword and was told to go save Princess Zelda. The only things that he were taught were magic spells by old people in Zelda 2 (though I am not too familiar with the game so I might be wrong on that) and that is about as much as he would learn. I like to headcanon that he tried to get a formal education in the 6 years in between games with Princess Zelda, but it didn't work out for him.

Twilight was most definitely taught by the people of Ordon. Probably not any formal education, as Ordon is a small village and probably not enough kids to have a proper school (like, you're telling me that Ilia is the only other kid in the entire village close to Link's age? And look at that age gap between Link, Ilia, and the other kids!). I think Fado taught Twilight all of the ranching aspects -- horse riding, animal tending, etc -- while Rusl taught him how to fight, other things a boy needs to know, and Uli taught him how to take care of himself and to help others.

I'm not too knowledgable about what goes in Wind Waker, but there is the old guy that teaches Wind how to sword fight, right? If I am thinking correctly, I think Wind's island would've had kind of like what they had in Moana and that the village elders would just teach the kids what they need to know, mainly stories as that's kind of what Link's grandma does in the beginning of the game.

I think Warriors was taught by some sort of school. After all, he had to become a knight in training and there had to have been some qualifications to get into that, right? Either that or he was taught at the knight training place, where he would've learned to strategize and make rational decisions. Maybe some heavy-duty military training.

Lastly, that leads to Wild. I kind of have a few headcanons with this, so stick with me.

Before the Calamity, Wild was definitely taught things when he was travelling with his father's knights, especially how to fight. He was probably under apprenticeship with his father, as it's sort of baffling to me why a four year old would be travelling with the knights instead of, I don't know, at a daycare or something? (But that raises the question of if whether or not his mom is alive, but she should be since Wild's sister is canon in LU, but then again his dad could've remarried and had his little sister a bit later. Actually, I kinda like that idea.)

Anyways, when Wild was old enough he could've further his training and education at the military camp right outside of the Lost Woods, which would've made it easier for him to find the Master Sword when he was twelve (plus with the village nearby, he and his father could've been living there as it is close to the castle, but not close enough at the same time). Then for the next five years, Wild just goes around Hyrule, doing natural hero stuff, developing his stoic personality as everyone sort of tells him what a hero should be; so it gives him plenty of time to mold that persona until eventually he becomes a Champion and... well, y'know the rest.

After the Calamity, Wild just sorts of takes the Time and Hyrule route and learns on his own. Though, I will say I think Wild is more open to asking how this are and what to do with things more than the former heroes because its quite easy in the game to have a tutorial on literally anything if you ask the right npc. So, he would just have an education from just random travelers he meets. Plus I guess it would make fighting easier since he still has muscle memory, due to his prowess with weapons right from the get-go.

To start, I adore the parallels between these two... they're both coming of age in their respective cultures! and having a rough time of it, it seems..

They're both very close with their grandmas, though sadly Komali's has passed away... they both have sisters, too!! (or, for Komali, a sister figure. Medli acts very maternal and caring towards him throughout the game, even commenting on watching him grow up saying something to the effect of, "he's grown into a fine young rito, is this how a mother feels?")

Between the coming of age stories, the alive and deceased grandmas, the little and big sisters... they both mirror each other perfectly!!

Of course Komali is going through some major anxiety issues, understandably. link is able to help him through it, which is very sweet to see :)

Before and after finishing dragon roost cavern. I just love the insight this NPC gives us! after Link inspires the confidence in him, he gets so happy!!

At first it's easy to see it as him just simply looking up to link, and I'm sure it started that way, but it starts leaning into crush territory...!

Komali's name comes from "hikikomori" in Japanese, which refers to severe social reclusiveness. he seems to be a very sheltered boy who wouldn't have very many friends off island... so who could he be talking about hmm ??? who's the one guy we know he likes off island...? who he wont shut up about....????

There's also this dialogue from a random Rito NPC (sadly I don't have the game caps, but here's it from a text dump):

The Rito and the wind are intertwined... very fitting that the prince would fall for someone who could control it 🥺

We're at the point of this post where I'm out of Ship 'Evidence' and I'm now just throwing images from my files at you. I love this one at the end of the game where Komali is the first one to greet them coming back from what was left of Hyrule (also very exciting for baby me, who was a huge Komali fan)

Of course we don't fully know how Link feels about him, but I like to think he was a bit annoyed with him at first (as Komali was with him)... Like why couldn't this guy just suck it up and do what had to be done? It's what Link had to do for his family. But he realized Komali had gone through a huge loss, and his Dad was a little absent. He has this huge sense of duty placed over him, and not much support. Then once he got his confidence back, he was able to really shine! Link could see that!

I feel like I might be missing something, but that's the gist of why I love them so much! Foils that grow to deeply appreciate each other :) cute little themes like royalty falling for Link & the Rito's ties to the wind. they make me so happy. they don't get the attention they deserve tbh

They have two kitten one boy and a girl (Sillabub)

Their son Telemachus is his papa's little twin. He is mainly black and grey like his papa but has some gold/brown peppered in from his mom. He's wants to be just like his papa. he is the bravest boy and once scared of the scariest dog ever all by himself (his papa definitely didn't help at all no way). he's one of those kitten who like yells, very yappy and also like those kittens who like ?¿fight¿? all the time. bro is just ready to post up and his favorite target was his papas tail

SILLABUB, baby baby girl, she is gold, black and grey and is such a daddy's girl and for a while would only fall asleep when he was holding her/talking to her, which is why Alonzo started doing the night patrols. she wants to the tribes story teller like her papa is and every week they have a story night where they tell each other stories. she doesn't like loud sounds and spends most of her time at her first jellicle ball with her papa or grandpa

they have three kittens two boys and a girl (Persephone) (i literally can't name men it's embarrassing)

Their oldest boy Dimitri is gold/brown and black and has his dads markings. he's like his mama, quiet and sweet but willing to fight a bitch. he is like his dad in the way that he does not like house life and when he was old enough he started living in the junkyard with his dad.

Their daughter PERSERPHONE, shes black white and brown. she is a very independent kitten and was the first of her sibling to open her eyes and start walking. she also a little hater like her dad and the glare down. she's a big fan of her uncle misto, can't stand her uncle tugger and her and her dad judge him off to the side during the ball. She has cussed someone out before, her mama and dad were very proud. she likes to listen to her uncle misto talk about magic and is the president of the misto fan club and the co president of the tugger hate club

Then their youngest boy, Romeo he looks like his dad just with out some of his face markings. he's the baby and is well aware of this fact and has pulled the 'I'm just a baby' card many times before. he is a slinky spiny jumpy kitten like his dad and never sits still. and likes to dance like his dad. he likes to be around his grandma jenny and likes to help her boss around the mice and cockroaches and likes to hear about his grandpa Skimble's times on the train and begs his parents to let him go on the train one day, so far they've said no but he's not giving up.

Did Cece ever tell that she was the one spilling YOUR business regarding this drama between you and that band community? You know, posted the screenshots of your messages to her blaming me for your drama with them on her "evidence" midokioaki blog? Without blurring out your face, name, social media names, the usernames of the people "harassing" you in the screenshot you sent her etc.? I wonder, because she deleted it for some reason. I also wonder if that's how all those people found your Facebook AND found out about you harassing me on your public posts or because Cece comments on all of them and drops the midokioaki blog link everywhere including your public posts about me. Although you had posted your Facebook name on the your Tumblr blogs relevant to you harassing others yourself prior. Who knows. That's a you problem at the end of the day.

Either way, you can partly thank her for me finding out that you are harassing other people on here similarly, dragging me into thar for no reason, and me making this blog in response. It was Cece's post that made aware of all of this, and this is what you get for blaming me for something I was never involved in, spilling business of me and my family to a bunch of randoms yourself before I even made this blog, and overall, starting this shit between us on your own.

At least I had the decency to blur out names of, not use names when necessary, and cover the very private information regarding my family in the things I posted. Ain't no one going to understand who my posts were about besides you on this obsolete blogging application anyways. So if anyone finds out who they are or other personal information, that's probably your fault. Ok, so I’m kind of obsessed with Links Meet AUs. All of them. @linkeduniverse, @linkbetweenlinksau, @minas-linkverse, @linked-maze, you get the idea. I also don’t have anywhere NEAR their following, but nevertheless, I have an idea.

A Links Meet au… but there are no Links.

Let me explain. In the Skyward Sword prequel manga, when First dies, Hylia does NOT force him to reincarnate alongside her for all time. But her eternal war with Demise is still a thing, so she’s forced to choose other warriors to bear the mantle of hero— or sometimes take it up herself. Here’s the basic crew, although if I do make a whole AU out of it, I’ll probably narrow it down a bit. And if anyone has better ideas, I will happily consider them.

~ Princess Zelda is the Hero of Hyrule. When she realized no hero was coming to reassemble the Triforce of Wisdom, she escaped Ganon and collected them herself. She’s a lot like her cartoon counterpart, but has a magic zappy sword, casts spells, and turns into a fairy.

~ Ravio is the Hero of Legend. His first adventure was a cross between ALttP/ALBW - he was dragged into Hyrule to claim the Master Sword, and uses it to defeat Yuga Ganon back in Lorule. He’s a little more courageous than usual, but just as much of a hoarder. And he does turn into a bunny, but embraces the transformation.

~ Saria is the Hero of Time. She began to age upon leaving the Kokiri Forest, and didn’t leave Hyrule after returning to her childhood. She’s now in her teens again, and Mido is the new Sage of Forest.

~ Kafei is the Hero of Termina, because I can’t really see Saria doing Majora’s Mask, and a quest driven by love for Anju would be incredible. He has all the masks, and a Lunar Ocarina like Skull Kid in HW.

~ Princess Zelda is the Hero of the Four Sword. Her father, King Daltus, was turned to stone while shielding her from Vaati, so she and Ezlo forged the Four Sword to restore him. She’s much younger than the other heroes.

~ Aryll is the Hero of the Winds. After accidentally causing Tetra to be kidnapped, she joined her crew and set out to rescue her- with the permission of her grandma, of course. Now she’s a young teenager, and won’t let anyone forget that she’s the First Mate.

~ Rusl is the Hero of Twilight. While trying to rescue his son from the monsters raiding Ordon, he was dragged into the twilight and turned into a wolf. He’s kinda everyone’s dad, including his Midna and half of the Resistance.

~ Groose is the Hero of the Skies. With no rivals for Zelda’s affections, it was he who witnessed her abduction and followed her to the surface- and inadvertently caused the curse of the heroes.

~ Linkle is the Hero of Warriors. She enlisted in the Hyrulean Army immediately after Queen Zelda’s disappearance, and became Impa’s protege. She doesn’t like the Master Sword, and greatly favors crossbows and explosives.

Maybe I’ll draw them. Maybe not. Just thought I’d put the idea out in the world, cause my brain runs out of space sometimes.

Tatiana is absolutely evil, but I don't think she's fully in her rights mind. Like, I think Tatiana is also a victim in many ways, and she was driven to madness and evil despite having once had the potential to be a fine person. Mortmain is WAY scarier than her because he isn't just in his right mind - he's incredibly methodical, meticulous, and scientific as he goes about his plots. He caused a girl to be born while fully intending even before she existed to rape her and use her to breed his children. He linked her to an angel to make sure she survived. He worked for decades to perfect his automatons. He is batshit crazy and is basically an evil capitalist overlord.

I find Mortmain to be a genuinely unsettling villain.

Tatiana is very much not in her right mind, and falls into the category of “shadowhunter women who didn’t get what they want and absolutely can’t deal with it”. She sort of does that thing that a lot of fictional charcaters, and a lot of real people, do where when someone is absent from their lives they make them up in their heads to fix everything. Like “if only my dad were alive everything would be perfect!” Or “my grandma was exactly like me if I’d known her I wouldn’t be lonely!”, when they barely knew that person, and that person defiantly wouldn’t fix everything.

In TLH she operates with idea that if Rupert were still alive everything would be better, and if her Benedict was alive everything would be perfect, when logically, she’s totally wrong. 

Mortmain on the other hand has no delusions about anything.

He’s the opposite of a lot of characters in that he doesn’t seem mean and have a nice, sympathetic side, he almost seems nice while very much not caring. 

He’s not at all concerned with human life or even recruiting people. He’ll straight up say “so and so shouldn’t die” and kill them without being at all smug, sad, or angry. 

It’s not even like there’s anything you can do to make him angry. He’s going to destroy the shadowhunter end of story. You can bring up his parents if you want but it’s not gonna upset him. 

He basically views everyone around him as very little more than ants. 

Also he fought like ten shadowhunter children. No one in the institute is over the age of like 23 and he still lost.

He is so creepy. He’s planning to breed a teenager??? He’s planning to keep her, mostly teenaged, friends hostage so she doesn’t defy him??? So creepy. So gross. Loved his death<3

Part of me wishes we could have seen what would happen if the TID gang did stay in the mountain for few days, solely to see some interactions. There are a few interesting parallels in the books involving Mortmain that I’ve never seen anyone point out. Whenever I reread TID I’ll point them out. He’s easily my favorite TSC villain, since he’s so successful in being a major threat while still being at his core just a dude.

Phobos x Samara fanchild: Elizabeth Escanor

Since WITCH is coming back I'm revisiting my Phobos x OC ship and have the brilliant idea to make a fankid. While I haven't made a lot of fankids Elizabeth is the one that I think about the most. I guess the idea of a Guardian being related to a series' villain is much too delicious to pass up on. Elizabeth is named after my late maternal grandma.

In Metamoor it's Princess Deimos Escanor. Most times she goes by Elizabeth Escanor.

Being a female royal she is the Crown Princess of Meridian but the thing is, she doesn't want to become queen!

Has a brother named Aremars (ares+mars) who is more knowledgeable and interested in politics than she is; he eventually becomes Crown Prince after she convinces her aunt to change the rules of succession in turn avoiding past mistakes

I think there'd be a story where she arrives to earth from the future and meets the previous Guardians + her dad, who is painfully undergoing a redemption arc.

As the Guardian of Darkness she has her mom's abilities plus the added gift of starlight and aurora manipulation.

Fun loving, hardheaded, superstitious, has Phobos' cunning and Samara's assertiveness

If Deimos took over, Meridian would've turned into a nocturnal kingdom; think futuristic cottagecore complete with glowing mushroom architecture and giant glowbugs for streetlights. But it's definitely not evil like her father's reign

Actual part of the reason why she doesn't want the throne is not just personal disinterest but also to avoid controversy of children of a former tyrant inheriting the throne

Enjoys rain, coffee, and watching trashy tv.

Has the thankless task of babysitting Orube and Cedric's hellspawn kids

In later life she becomes a member of the council and precedes over dark/shadow magic

Hates being compared to her dad, and her element being misunderstood as evil

NEW SURPRISES AND DISGUISES CHAPTER!!

I'm making it my mission to finish this fic this year... and we now have one of the most important chapters, the start of the final arc... <3

For every new person that found out the girls were dating, the more they started to show public affection to each other. There were some that hadn’t figured it out yet though, or at least hadn’t mentioned it to them.

The girls had no idea that some of the boys were theorizing about their dating life. And, that the ones theorizing, seemed to not even consider that the girls dated each other. 

“I’m running out of options!” Broduey admitted.

“It’s so hard to tell,” Leon said, “They don’t say it openly.”

Diego passed them by and once again chuckled.

“You know!” Broduey said, pointing at him. “You know who they’re dating and you’re not saying it.”

“No, because it’s fun seeing you figuring it out.”

“Can you give us a hint?” Andres asked.

“The only hint I’ll give is that you’re thinking too straight.” With that, Diego left.

The boys looked at each other, confused.

Violetta and Francesca sat on a bench in the park, watching the view together.

“I wonder what life will be like in the future,” Francesca said.

“How far in the future are you thinking?” Violetta asked.

“I don’t know… how about 10 years from now?”

“10 years from now, we could be parents… which is really wild to think.”

“Oh, gosh… my parents were 34 when they had me.”

“My mom was 25 when she had me,” Violetta said. 

“Woah! Luca is turning 25 next year, and he’s… far from ready to be a parent!”

“Yeah…”

“How come she was so young?” Francesca asked. “Were you an…?”

“As far as I know, I’m planned,” Violetta chuckled. “But my mom was a famous singer, and I guess when you’ve been touring from age 18 to 24, you kinda want a break and maybe want to settle down. I was a bit surprised to find out she was only 25, but I saw her gravestone… born October 1969, died september 1999. She was 25 going on 26 having me.”

“Wait, but you said you were five when she died.”

“Yes?”

“So, in 1999, you should have been four… not five?”

Violetta stared into thin air. “But… yeah, you’re right. But… I was five? I remember celebrating my fifth birthday with her. Either they wrote the wrong year, or I’m actually born in… 1994…”

They stared at each other briefly.

“It has to be the first,” Francesca said. 

“Yeah. I mean, I’ve seen my birth certificate.”

“Should we like… go home to your house and confront your dad if he has lied about your age all this time?”

“Honey, you read my mind.”

Violetta almost bursted the door as she went inside. 

“Oh, hi, sweetie-” Germán said before Violetta pointed accusingly at him.

“When am I born?!”

“Uh-”

“When?!”

“1995! June 26th!”

“And is that the truth?!”

“Yes! Why wouldn’t it be?”

Violetta took a deep breath. “Because I just remembered that mom’s gravestone says she died in September 1999 and by that logic I should have been four, but I remember celebrating her fifth birthday with her!”

“Ah… Vilu… sit down. Hi, Francesca, I didn’t see you.”

“Hello, yes, I also exist,” said Francesca. 

The girlfriends sat down as Germán tried to tell the story.

“You were born in 1995, I promise. It’s just… your mother… you see, she did die in the year 2000, when you were 5. And I was in such a sorrow that I didn’t notice that they had put the completely wrong year on the gravestone! I got to check it before and everything! I didn’t even realize it until they tried to call me about it, but at that point I had already moved away with you and didn’t have a plan to return. I think Angie and your grandma were really mad about it.”

“We were,” Angie said, suddenly coming into the living room. “But we were also grieving and we just… didn’t have the energy to argue with the one that made the terrible mistake. So now everyone will believe she died in 1999, except for us who know… it’s been so many years it feels way too petty to do anything about it right now.”

“Angie, what are you doing here?” Germán asked.

Angie sighed. “Sometimes I just… am here. Anyway, I can confirm you were born in 1995 too, Vilu. I wrote about it in my diary. You were a very cute baby.”

“So I’ve heard,” Violetta said. 

“Yeah… sorry for the confusion. Hi, Fran, by the way. How are you?”

“I’m good!” Francesca exclaimed. 

“Good, we have that out of the way…” Violetta said, taking a deep breath. “Fran… you wanna stay here and do something?”

“Yeah, let’s go to your room!”

“Eh!” Germán put out his hand. “No… uh…”

He looked at Francesca. He didn’t really know how to handle it. For some reason, he felt more… soft, when it was a girl that dated his daughter. He knew the same boundaries and strictness should apply to her, but he for some reason felt more… careless.

“... I forgot what I was supposed to say. My apologies.”

“Okay…?” Violetta said, as she took Francesca’s hand and the two walked upstairs.

Angie gave Germán an amusing look.

“What?” Germán asked.

“It’s not easy to know what to do when it’s a girl, huh?”

“What do you mean?”

“You know what I mean.”

Priscila came home right before dinner. Badly timed, that’s when Violetta and Francesca walked downstairs, as Violetta was saying goodbye to her. 

“I’ll see you tomorrow,” Violetta said, as she left a kiss on her cheek.

“Mhm!” Priscila coughed, standing with crossed arms. 

Francesca smiled nervously. “Well… goodbye!”

As Violetta closed the door, she expected Priscila to tell her something. Maybe that she didn’t want Francesca here, or that Violetta was acting inappropriate. But instead, Priscila just walked into the kitchen.

Violetta sat down at the table with Ludmila and Federico, as they waited for Germán and Priscila to finish talking in the kitchen. They didn’t hear what they were discussing.

“Darling,” Priscila said, “Are you really sure you should just let Violetta’s… girlfriend in here?”

“She has never caused any harm,” Germán shrugged.

“I know, but… you don’t like when she has boyfriends, did you?”

“No…”

“So why is it different when she has girlfriends?”

“Because… uh… well, it’s Violetta’s best friend, too! I would never kick out her best friend! Would you kick out Ludmila’s best friend?”

Priscila had, in fact, kicked out Naty on multiple occasions because she thought she had a “bad influence” on Ludmila.

“Of course not, Germán! I’d never!”

Germán put a comforting hand on her shoulder. “Priscila, it’s nothing to worry about.”

”I know… I know… I guess when… Ludmila doesn’t have anyone she dates, I project it onto Violetta.”

”It’s understandable. I might have done the same, if Ludmila was the one dating someone.”

Priscila chuckled. It was obviously a fake chuckle but Germán didn’t notice.

The next day, everything was normal in the studio. They had a dance lesson.

“And left, right, kick!” Gregorio said, showing the choreography. “Come on, get some energy into it!”

He walked up to Violetta and Francesca. “Don’t dance so close, you two.” He gave them a knowing smile.

Leon, Andres and Broduey exchanged unsure looks.

“What did he mean by that?” Andres asked as they walked out after class.

“Maybe it was just a random Gregorio comment,” Broduey suggested.

“He kinda made a comment he usually makes to couples…” Leon said. “What if…”

“You don’t think… Francesca and Violetta…” Andres said, trying to figure it out.

“Nah…?” Broduey said unsurely. “They can’t…?”

Francesca and Violetta suddenly passed them. The three boys instinctively hid.

“Gregorio’s comment today…” Violetta said, hiding an embarrassed giggle.

“Yeah, although he was right. We were dancing too close. I couldn’t help myself…”

“I know, I couldn’t help myself, either.”

They laughed and pressed their foreheads together.

“I wanna kiss you,” Francesca admitted.

“No one’s watching.”

The two girls shared a kiss, before linking fingers and walking away.

The guys gasped.

“They…” Andres said.

Leon facepalmed.

“How could we have not seen it?” Broduey asked. 

Francesca and Violetta decided to go for a walk, as it was 2 hours until their next class. 

“Hey, I have an idea,” Violetta said, “What if… we go in a direction we never have before?”

“Oh my god, I love that idea!” Francesca said. 

“Let’s hope we don’t get lost, like in Madrid…”

“Hey, this is Buenos Aires. We live here. And if we don’t recognize it anymore then we just go… backwards.”

Violetta chuckled. “Yeah.”

The girlfriends didn’t get lost this time. Something worse happened… but it didn’t happen yet. 

They arrived at a rather large staircase. They went up it and walked around the area.

“Vilu, do you know what you wanna do after graduation?” Francesca asked.

“I… I don’t know. I just live in the here and now so much that I haven’t thought much about it. How about you?”

Francesca smiled. “You know how many offers I get about performing in Italy… and maybe I’ll move back there.”

Violetta squeezed her hand. “That sounds great.”

“I’ve been nervous to tell you that, actually… especially due to last year, when you went out of your way to make me stay…”

Violetta hugged her. “Fran… it was different then. You didn’t want to move back.”

“No, I didn’t… I had my whole life here, and it was in the middle of the semester…”

“Exactly. But after graduation, you can do what you choose. And Italy is calling for you, isn’t it?”

Francesca acted shy. “It is…”

“Yes… and you’re gonna be such a superstar in Italy.”

“Yeah…”

“And I’m gonna be your number 1 fan… I’m gonna show up as a surprise, you think I’m in Buenos Aires and then I show up when you perform in Milano…”

“That sounds so romantic, Vilu!”

“I know!”

“And I’m gonna write so many songs about you and my fans are gonna theorize who’s it about…”

“Aww!” They hugged each other tightly, and then shared a kiss. 

What they didn’t know was that a certain woman named Priscila happened to be nearby. 

She was just passing by, and she didn’t like what she saw. 

Why were they just kissing, out in the open?

It was already bad when they were kissing in her house, but now they gotta show it to everyone?

Suddenly, Francesca’s phone rang. “Oh, it’s my mom. I wanna take this.”

Violetta grinned. Then, her own phone rang. It was Angie.

“Hi, Angie!” She walked further away to be able to hear. Francesca did the same.

With both girls having their backs turned, Priscila walked up to Violetta. She wanted to hear her conversation.

“Hi, Angie… Just on a walk with Fran. Yeah… we’re gonna be back for your class, I promise! Yeah… home? Yeah, it’s okay… me and Ludmila are getting along better. Priscila…”

Priscila tried to listen more carefully. What was the girl saying about her now?

“Priscila is more difficult… I can tell she definitely judges me and Francesca. If dad wasn’t home, she’d probably push Francesca down the stairs! Ok, yeah, I know… I’m overexaggerating, but it feels like it… yeah. Yeah, we’ll talk later. Bye.”

Priscila couldn’t believe it. How could Violetta say things like this?

Talking trash about her to her aunt… ugh! This behavior was unacceptable! Disgusting! 

She talked about Priscila being capable of pushing someone down the stairs… Well, maybe Violetta deserved getting pushed down the stairs.

Violetta stood right by the stairs. Priscila took a deep breath.

Right then, Francesca said goodbye to her mom, and turned back. 

Priscila snuck up on Violetta and without hesitation, she pushed her.

Violetta tumbled down the stairs.

“Violetta!” Francesca screamed, horrified.

Violetta landed at the bottom, lying down. She didn’t get up. 

Francesca turned to Priscila. “You! You pushed her down the stairs?!”

“You can’t prove anything,” Priscila said and quickly walked away.

“Hey!” Francesca didn’t know what to do. Chase after her, or… 

She ran down to Violetta. She was her top priority.

“Violetta! Violetta, Violetta!”

She knelt down, almost crying. “Please…”

Violetta scrunched her face up, tilting her head.

“Vilu!”

“Huh? What… happened? Did I fall down the stairs?”

“You got pushed!”

“What?”

Francesca hugged her. “Oh, Vilu… we need to get you to a hospital…”

“What? Why?”

“I won’t take any risks!” Francesca felt the tears running down her face.

She looked back up at the top of the staircase.

‘Mom, why don’t I look like you?’

Mariana is always mistaken to be her aunt Maria’s daughter, because of her blonde hair and her green eyes; every time someone would that mistake she would point out that Gwen’s her mom not Maria this would get worst over the years eventually she would start getting annoyed with these mistakes and instead of calmly explaining she’s not Maria’s daughter she would get mad. She’s so upset that she looks beautiful like every other human but she doesn’t look extraordinary like her mom and grandma.

‘A Father and his Son’

Frederick is definitely a better father to his son than Leland was to him and his brothers, he does everything in his power to make his son feel loved and cherished always taking his kids to school, giving him the time of day, always listening to his worries and giving him advice and never playing favorites. Frederick has loved Brandon and Mariana since they were born.

Frederick is just as loving and protective towards his son as Miles Morales dad, plus he would never send his kids to a military school because he cares about them, wants them to be happy also to keep them to himself

‘Frederick’s Decent’

Back when I made my first CPC post, I drew this picture of Frederick seemingly losing a fight either between his brother or his father. In the beginning of the fight he was hesitant to fight still his hold self but just nearing the end of the battle all the pain built up and the crimson blood drenching him caused a mixture of hatred and anger to build up losing his old self and started to enjoy what pain brought him it powered him up through the rest of the battle causing him to win.

‘Mariana the Ugly Witch’

She named herself the ugly witch to spite her pastel family heritage and everyone who thinks outer beauty is what matters most. She believes that beauty is a curse and she’s the most cursed woman in the world because of the Beauty Alchemy.

Her overall plot is to make a spell to make the form reflect what’s in their hearts if you wish to be beautiful you have to have a beautiful heart, but if your heart is evil than your body will reflect the worse possible version of yourself there is.

Mariana is already part way free from her curse she lost her glow in sparkles all she has to do is get rid of her outer beauty.

Lance: Always be nice to each other and never grow up to hate each other for your differences

Lance always wanted to have kids but he’s too scared that he either might turn out like his father or he’s too much of a coward to protect them. Sometimes he is scared to death that Leland would come back and seriously hurt the Twins worst than him and his brothers

‘Gorgeous in Green!’

Since their father wears green and their mother is green they have always loved the color green it’s their favorite color they wear these colored clothing to every fancy party or outing they have. Mariana makes sure she matches with her brother to let everyone know she and him are connected.

These two love the color green so much that sometimes they playfully suggest that they should rename their kingdom the Green Kingdom.

So, we’ve had a lot of discussions about this (you know mine by now skwhwwhwh) but what do you think Gehrman did pre-Byrgenwerth/hunting? His family, class status, occupation etcetera, things like that.

Thank you so much, I can finally share my « headcanons »/story about Gehrman’s backstory! Yes I have those ideas since September too…

I won’t talk about everything in details + there’s things I’m not settle with but it’s still going to be long and a bit messy sorry. It could have some dark theme too just so you know. I hope you will enjoy! Oh, and this is mostly in the interpretation of my current fic verse

His family first: 

He’s from a middle/working Class, I think. It’s not the big bourgeoisie for sure but they were not super poor either (I will talk about it just after but for going around buying books and a few fancy toys you need a bit of money XD)

His family lived at Hemwick then Yharnam. I have this idea that his family might have help Cainhurst and the nobles with their hunt parties for a while. (There’s were a lil accident here too at some point…) 

Besides that they might have worked in the fields. that's where he got his affinity with scythes !

So, there’s his father, and his little sister principally + there’s his mom and grandma who taught him to sew, cook and everything but I feel those two weren’t around for long :(

Oh, and there’s his aunt (a badass) who taught him to use weapons too and I like the idea she could be THE Evelyn you know. (but forget it)

And of course, they had some dogs while in Hemwick I think :)

I wouldn’t say he was a “weird” kid, but he was a bit different than the children his age. He didn’t pass that much with others his age either. He passed more time with people younger or older. Or generally he passed lot of times alone.

But I like the idea he could have been friend with Dores as a child. Dores who was really super weird and scared others and Gehrman just didn’t mind XD Also his family was a bit worried for a time because he thought that mercy killed a wounded bird was the best idea… well instead his family forced him to take care of the bird until he either die or get better. The bird lived and was release afterwards.

It might be linked to an another huge moment in his childhood/pre-teens : a wolf had attack cattle and possibly humans as well. Many people have been called to try to catch the beast. Gehrman tried to find it as well. Oh well he found it. It was hurt and sick and trapped in a jaw trap. He knew people were going to really make surfer the wolf who was already dying so he mercy killed it. During this adventure our lil hunter might have gone trapped too and hurt his leg as well. But nothing too serious lol (he hurt his right foot/leg way too many times when he was younger...)

His education was not the highest thing possible either but still, he learned to read (and really like it) and wrote etc. and he loved going to expositions in Yharnam organized by Byrgenwerth. One day he even found a meteorite in a field and went to Byrgenwerth so that the scholars could explain and share to him everything they know! (yes! he made the burial blade and hunter badge years later from it!) yes a lil stone collector, like me <3 Oh and I headcanon he could play Cello (violoncelle) but I don't know where/when he learned.

He loved making toys and sew clothes too. He made a few dresses for his sister and a few little clothes for her plushies when she was younger. Of course, they had little dolls has well he and liked to make them various outfits. He also had/made a few wooden figures and some with mechanisms. I feel it would have been his dream job to make toys or even become a tailor. I headcanons he continued to make little articulated toys and sew clothes (he made his own) in addition to the weapons x)

At some points it becomes a bit complicated, I imagined when he was a teenager it was just him his sister and his dad. His father wasn’t super present and super fun it was a bit complicated (to resume)

And then the plague strike. (Yeah, I thought that having a tuberculosis epidemy 15y or smt before everyone met at Byrgenwerth and killed at least 1 member of everyone family was a good idea…I still think it is). 

His sister sadly passed away from it T_T this really hurt him intensely if not destroy him. He was quite close to her and that’s a part how he got huge issues with dealing with grief of persons really close to him.

I need a name for her eventually, but I might never cited her by name, I guess so I got times…

After that idk maybe his father died too? or later? idk

Anyway, he went to do many little jobs around Yharnam, not the best things really but well you need a shelter and to eat so he did many various things : manufacturing, butcher, gardening, constructions, take people/object from to place A to B.

That’s where he met Patches who was one of his roommates lmao. Patches probably stoles stuff to everyone. Gehrman was very clear that if he ever witnesses directly the thief, that one was really gonna have a bad time… thankfully it kinda stops XD 

By the way teen Gehrman is legit the type of person to gives weapons to people/lil kids so they can defend themselves just in case XD I’m not telling to who he gives a knife for exemple but the only thing I would say was that Cainhurst was really surprised XD

But there were something beginning to bother him. To bother him a lot. His right leg/foot really begin to hurt. To hurt really bad, he began to limp and smt even need to use a cane. At some points he couldn’t take it anymore, he went to Byrgenwerth so he could be properly healed. Well he got some really bad news… the tuberculosis from years ago have stayed dormant in his body for years and was now attacking his bones (it’s what a call tuberculosis of the bone/skeletal tuberculosis yes I’ve made quite some researches on it ). There was nothing to do so he asks them to amputee him. During his convalescence and reeducation, he spends lots of time with Dores & Liam (gatekeeper) (and also a bit with Willem + he met Laurence for the first time) who were sick too and didn’t work at Byrgenwerth yet.

After he was heal he decides to leave to work in a foreign regions/country a few years (Ahah you thought he was gonna stayed at Byrgenwerth ? Not yet!). To the places he went he did many things (mining for ex) and meet many people. I believed the first hunters /prospectors were almost all from Yharnam but the first foreigners might be people he meet there.  (it’s the case of the grandfather of my OC hunter and maybe the first hunter of hunters and well it could be fun if he meet Archibald or others don’t you think ? Oh and an idea I have is that he met someone linked with Yamamura who even worked on the Rakuyo much later ! Yeah he got some contacts XD)

So after this he returned to Yharnam and wanted to finally realized one of his dreams: takes a few class a Byrgenwerth. While he was working next to it, that wasn't easy too but with all his efforts Willem noticed him (+saw his huge potential) and after discussion proposed to him if he wanted to work at Byrgenwerth. Gehrman accepted and that’s how he become Groundskeeper. The rest is another story. One you might be familiar with 😉

Abel turner continues to be the mvp!! Also just realized he’s Christian and Abel is a biblical name…..as in ‘Cain and’. I’m worried and pretending not to think abt it!! Hope he doesn’t have any older siblings!! “Your demonic boyfriend” on the floor. I Gagged. when I heard that. turner stop giving the people what we want idk if we can handle it

I’m deeply concerned about the status of darlingdemon’s physical body?? Is that what’s at black elm or not?? If they’re only bringing his soul back what are they planning on putting it in???

While I am a little overwhelmed by the addition of yet more seemingly unrelated plot intrigue, linus rider has been an absolute blast so far!! The whole time Alex was comparing Ariel and eitan and Len and drug dealers generally to vampires she was on the nose!!! I kinda wonder how eitan is gonna play into the more supernatural plot lines now. Could he be a vampire??

ALSO, odds that Linus is the terrible new Lethe supervisor whose name I can’t remember’s long lost lover??? Any takers?? Speaking of whom, wow! I have never well and truly disliked a character so quickly! I feel like Leigh made him so intentionally dislikeable right off the bat that something is gonna happen later to turn that on its head, idk what yet. It’s never what you see is what you get with miss Bardugo…….

Speaking of dislikeable, anselm’s cool card is revoked for being a creep! Drain him dry Alex!!! Although that whole convo was pretty enjoyable I will admit. I like the juxtaposition of him with darlington, anselm being the sort of jaded realist darlington might have grown into if he weren’t…darlington

Speaking of vampires and dislikeable, huge fan of the scene where Alex tells darlington’s parents to eat shit and die!!! And Alex seeing DTA3’s memories, that was sooooo good. Also COSMO……my funky little guy….what are Bowie cat’s secrets I am dying to know!!! What if he really is David Bowie, and David Bowie was a demon the arlingtons made a deal with way back in the day. (Minus the David Bowie part that is an actual theory)

When it was mentioned that the ritual is supposed to have a whole bunch of people all together keeping time on the surface while ppl are going to hell my immediate thought was that they were somehow gonna bring their liquor treat party to the ritual site and blast music. Still think that would be fun but idk if it would make sense. Does feel like some mercy type innovation though, and it would rope Lauren into the plot a lil more

Because I’m a hornball thirstgremlin with repressed anger issues I am DESPERATE for a scene with demon Danny threatening someone who’s been giving alex shit. My top picks are eitan and Linus, anselm is also a candidate. lord imagine demon darlington policing the houses of the veil, that would serve them goddamn right

I’m wondering if we’re going to get any more answers about Alex’s nature any time soon? What tf is a wheelwalker? What was her grandma’s deal? (Cool lady all the memories of her are so compelling) what was her DAD’s deal? Is her mom really that spacey or is there something more to all of her flakiness? I am SO curious!!!! What if her dad was connected to Lethe somehow!!

I’m also enjoying the further intrigue abt lethe’s origins and the gauntlet. Never trust an organization that’s main purpose is to uphold the greater broken institution yall

And still we don’t know wtf is going to be the deal in november!!!!!

It’s possible the two can develop it! Though it’s more understood as a curse by Bob and his mum rather than the rest of the family, who see it more as a family trait connected to their Herbaphony and their own mental health (which is why it gets worse when they’re isolated or not taking care of themselves, and can be managed with the right help and care). It’s also connected to the psychic energy of their brains too, so if Truman had it then it would have faded after he was replaced (though Gristol would have had to deal with it at first!). 

Though the au could easily turn to be more family based and more of a curse if that’s an idea you want to play with. Either way I think it’s an effect that develops with maturity as their psi-powers grow more powerful, otherwise poor Bob would’ve been stuck with half his head being smaller than the rest of it when he was a kid.
