Have I forgotten the need to show?

The right to know and choice to go,

Have I lost the key to life?

Lives where one isn't tied to strife.

Have I mourned the loss of innocence?

The days of youth and the grief of silence,

The grudges I held for a while,

Have they carved a meaningful life?

The thoughts that pass throughout my mind,

Sowing doubt and hesitation,

Yet I know where the truth must lie,

And the flicker of a candle.

Hang to me like passed years
