Harvesting linden for tea. This tree is huge and gorgeous. It smells so good! Background noise is the distant buzz of bees, swarming the top of the tree where the pollen is the sweetest.

Dried linden is such a stupid herb. If I wanted to choke on cum, I'd just get it from the source (werewolves)

Thanks to @fiercereadsya for providing me with an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review
✩🩸🫖Review:
Faizal’s latest page-turner is the perfect blend of vampires, heists, and tea with a hint of romance!
“A Tempest of Tea” follows Arthie Casimir, a criminal mastermind who runs a tearoom by day and a bloodhouse that caters to the local vampires by night. When her establishment is threatened, she’s forced strike a deal with an unlikely adversary in order to save it.
Admittedly, the slow pacing at the start threw me off, but once Faizal set the scene, the action and suspense surrounding Arthie and her crew of misfits infiltrating the vampire underworld captivated me. Faizal’s writing is immersive and she cleverly conceals all that Arthie has up her sleeves until the very last second, which allows for many jaw-dropping moments.
I was most drawn to reading from Arthie’s pov. As the mastermind of the operation, it was fascinating to see her scheme and navigate through the tangled web of heists spanning across the books. I also appreciate how her character represents the anger and pain that stems from colonialism. Before dominating the streets of White Roaring, Arthie lived in a country much like Sri Lanka that was invaded by Ettenia (a fantastical version of 1920s England). Many of the choices that she makes are intentional in exposing the dangers and repercussions of conquest.
It was also exciting to read from the povs of two members of Arthie’s crew! Their perspectives offer insight into each person’s role in the heist and their motivations for being involved.

Ok THIS is amazing. It smells JUST like the tea, and it’s only around $25 or something. I’ve got their linden perfume and baby powder roll on and they’re my signature scents. I have “kitten fur” on order, it’s supposed to smell sweet and earthy, like a kitten. 🐈 I really want to get their honeydew melon and watermelon ones next.

Dreamland Tea
A friend got me (finger gun emoji)
I’ve had a cold the last few days, and having run out of usual sore throat remedies, I scrounged up some tea bags a friend got me years ago. The internet said both camomile and peppermint had antibacterial properties, and I just so happen to have this dreamland tea that contained both, and let me tell you. I have never known the healing powers of camomile and peppermint can be this immediate (albeit temporary). It had a strong scent that cleared my sinuses or whatever the moment I sniffed it, and keeping my nose over the tea soothed it in a way no tissue ever did. Same thing for my throat. It’s the camomile combined with the spicy potent powers of peppermint, and for a good few hours I felt almost human. The taste was good too! Mellow, floral natural sweetness! It’s like if I dunk a bunch of flowers into traditional Chinese blends. I am healed (for 15 minutes). I am also a sucker for dreamy sounding teas.

Bought some raspberry-flavored black tea from the same company that made my greatly beloved blackcurrant tea and it was so underwhelming. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined

Linden Flower Infusion and Tea
In 1988, we bought our home with a beautiful tree in the front yard. The Linden tree has provided beautiful shade for our front yard, a marvelous climbing tree for my children and grandchildren, amazing fragrance when the tree is in bloom, pollen for the honeybees, symbolic heart-shaped leaves, and now a wonderful source for a Linden infusion and tea. I have felt a tremendous kinship to this…

This is a sick fic for my beloved @edi-storm and them ONLY <3 <3 <3
You add another blanket to your now three layers of blankets. Somehow, you were still cold. Cold and alone because your cruel boyfriend just HAD to patrol (you insisted he go despite him offering to stay with you). The world is evil and cruel and mean. The cold seeping into your bones on the couch after hours of being alone.
That is until Red Hood comes knocking on your window. On one hand, you felt relief that he came back. On the other hand, that knocking sound gave you a killer headache. He can get in just fine, he was merely alerting you of his presence. What was usually a nice gesture is now annoying the shit out of you. So you tuck your head under the blankets and stick out your arm to flip him off. You hear the window unlatch and his modulated laugh as he climbs through.
“You still feel like shit?” He starts removing the outer layer of his gear.
“Cleary.” Your voice is muffled from the stack of blankets over your face. You hear the light switch flickering under his fingers, darkening the room. You move the blankets slightly to look at him.
“Better?” He asks. He finally makes it to his kevlar layers, peeling them away with practiced grace.
“Yeah.” You stare at his freshly freed tits. Lovely specimen. It unfortunately doesn’t last long. He slides into an old comfy looking t-shirt. Soon enough he’s in full pajamas.
“When’s the last time you had something to eat?” His footsteps towards the kitchen are loud.
You shrug before remembering that he can’t see you. It’s the headache’s fault. “I don’t know.”
“We’ll have to fix that. Do you want pasta?” His voice carries from the other room.
The promise of pasta rises you from your cushion-y grave. “Thank youuuu.”
“Yeah yeah yeah. Don’t mention it.”
You can hear him opening cabinets and drawers before he steps back into the living room. You look up upon his entry and he gives your forehead a quick kiss before putting some linden tea down on the coffee table along with some medication for your headache. “You’re burning up. Take these. Your noodles are boiling.”
Immediately going for the tea, you look up at him with reverence and awe. “I would die for you.”
He smiles. “Please don’t. Dying isn’t as fun as it’s hyped up to be.” He takes one of your hands in his to quickly squeeze before heading back to the kitchen to stir the pasta.
When he leaves the room, the blankets begin to feel warmer and then hot. They become annoying and sweaty so you peel them off of you.
Jason quickly walks back into the living room. You decide the funniest and best course of action would be to throw the final blanket over his head.
You were right, it is funny. He doesn’t take it off immediately, just turns his head to look at you as if to say Seriously? This is your humor?
He pulls the blanket off his head and his hair stands in all directions. He folds the blanket and puts it over the back of an armchair before turning to you. He does a quick double take. “Are you wearing my shirt?”
“Shut up.”

herbal teas guide —
🌿🍃 having conversations with my mutuals all over the world, i was stunned to find out that not every country/culture practices drinking herbal teas for health issues. as a slavic person i decided to create this little guide because – and i'm saying this as a skeptical person who hates superstitions – they really work. 🍃🌿
mint tea (mentha piperita) is for digestion and relaxation chamomile tea (matricaria chamomilla) is for digestive system horsetail tea (equisetum arvense) is for skin, hair, nails condition, remineralization and circulatory system linden tea (tilia cordata) is for a cold lemon balm tea (melissa officinalis) is for relaxation and sleep nettle tea (uritca dioica) is for urinary tract sage tea (salvia officinalis) is for when your throat or teeth hurt fennel tea (funiculum vulgare) is for digestive system white mulberry tea (morus alba) is for carbohydrate metabolism pansy tea (viola tricolor) is for clean skin and body detox purge tea (cistus incanus) is for immunity hawthorn tea (crataegus monogyna) is for heart and circulatory system damian leaves tea (turnera diffusa) is for anxiety and libido dandelion tea (taraxacum officinale) is for liver, stomach and digestion st john's wort tea (hypericum perforatum) is for emotional balance, good mood, digestive system and kidney function
🌿🍃 to create this guide i was using a booklet from my pharmacy store. if you google them, you will find out that each of these have even more usage methods than the ones listed. 🍃🌿
🌿🍃 if you're from a different country/culture and you know more herbal teas like these, feel free to add them. 🍃🌿
