I wanted to compile some of my personal favourite self-portraits I’ve done over the past 3 years, because recently I’ve felt more & more comfortable drawing myself, rather than my Frogsona ☺️
These are listed top down, in order of newest to oldest

R U Mine? - Part Two (request)
Sooo, I had barely any ideas for this one after this anon suggested a part two but Lina saved me and she has amazing ideas honestly. I know this isn’t next on the list but it was almost done, so I figured I’d upload it first 😊
(Part One)
♥
"Tha' is absolute bollocks, love" Alex said, shaking his head. "No one's uncomfortable because of yeh."
"Well, no one wanted to come out and see the city with us." You shrugged, looking up at him and raising an eyebrow challengingly. "How do you explain that?"
He chuckled, looking back at you and you could make out a light flush of his face. "Well, teh beh quite honest wif yeh, love, I fink it's because they ... tha knows ... 'eard us last night and were thinkin' tha' maybeh you and meh wanted teh ... beh alone, just the two of us?"
You sighed, blushing as you were reminded of the night before. He was probably right, but not in the way he thought. It wasn't like they wanted to give you space or privacy, they had probably already made up their mind about what kind of girl you were.
"Oh, come on" he said softly. "Please don't fink tha' they don't like yeh or summat. Yeh were chattin' and all wif them at breakfast, weren't yeh?"
You nodded slowly. "Maybe they'll ... I don't know, you said it yourself, they heard us last night so maybe they're like ... judging me?"
He looked at you in disbelief. "Oh, nonsense. They're not like tha'..."
"Are you sure?"
Alex chuckled. "I've been best mates wif them for years, I'm pretteh sure" he smirked.
"Okay..." you said, slowly giving in. It wasn't like it mattered and of course, you liked being with just him but you also didn't like the thought of them maybe talking negatively about you to Alex.
"So" he said, clapping his hands. "Where do weh go first?"
You smiled, thankful that he was trying to distract you. "Well" you said. "Did you see anything yesterday already?"
He shook his head. "Nah, we went straight teh the venue when weh got 'ere" he said. "So I'm open teh seein' anehthin'..."
"You've never seen anything around Berlin?"
"Nope, complete Berlin virgin, yeh could seh..."
You laughed, shaking your head at him. "Right" you grinned. "Should we start with some history?" You offered.
"Please."
-
You hadn't expected it, but Alex was surprisingly interested in the historical aspects of the city that you showed him. He soaked up all the information he could at the museum you showed him and when he saw references to other places in Berlin, he asked you if you could go see those places too so by the late afternoon, you'd pretty much given him a crash course in German history.
As you settled down in a café by the river, it was truly beginning to dawn on you what you were really doing and who you were doing it with. You tried not to let him see how caught off guard you were for a moment, he probably would've thought you were crazy but as you sat opposite him in the corner of the café by the window, his face half-lit by the sun, the other half in the shade, realisation set in that you were really here with him, he was really here with you.
The previous night had been like a dream, maybe it happened, maybe it didn't, it'd been so quick, you'd been a little drunk, so that you would've probably been unsure about if it'd had happened had you walked away then and gone home. But now you had spent more time with him, talked to him and gotten to know little bits and pieces of him that made him seem so much more real. You'd seen him get excited over little things, curious for more information, telling you stuff he knew, he wanted to know, places he'd been, places he'd wanted to see. And you had so much in common.
"Yeh alreyht?" He asked you and you realised you'd fallen silent as he raised an eyebrow at you, sipping on his hot chocolate.
You smiled quickly, nodding. "Yeah, yeah, sorry" you said quickly.
"Tha knows, I realleh appreciate that yeh're takin' the time teh show me 'round 'n all" he said with a smile.
"Oh, come on" you laughed, waving it off. "I want to spend time with you. While you're still here that is." Just like realisation had kicked in that you were getting to know him, spending time with here while he was here, it was slowly dawning on you that he was going to leave quite soon and you probably would never see him again.
He smiled. "Well, reyht back at ya, love" he said with a smile, letting his eyes wander for a moment before his gaze settled back on you. "So, this is yehr favourite then?"
You nodded. "Yes. The view is beautiful and it's nice and cozy, no matter the weather."
He nodded understandingly, licking some cream from his lips. "Yeh, yeh're right. I totalleh see tha' ... reminds meh of 'ome actualleh."
"It does?"
"Yeh ... I dunno. There's a café close teh where I grew up where I go for breakfast evereh deh when I'm 'ome. I love teh just get some eggs and English muffin and sit on me own for a while in the mornin'."
"That sounds like something you'd do..." you said slowly before realising what you'd said, your face flushing. "I-I mean, from what you ... what I've gathered about you with everything you told me today. I can't believe you've never been to all these places..." you added in order to quickly change the subject and you were thankful he let it slide, noticing you'd gotten uncomfortable.
"Well, weh've never 'ad the time, tha knows?"
"Yeah, glad you have it now though" you smiled. "Is there anything else you definitely want to see?" You asked him.
"Are yeh sure yeh've got more time for meh?"
You rolled your eyes at him. "Of course" you laughed.
He grinned. "Sorreh. 'ave we done all the history stuff? Because tha's so interestin' ... I can't believe 'ow clueless I am."
"You're not clueless. There's just so much. But we've covered all the big ones, Reichstag, museums, Checkpoint Charlie, the Holocaust memorial and the Dome ... we've seen the Gate and the Siegessäule..." you said, trying to think if you'd forgotten anything. "Of course you can't see it all in one day."
"Well, I trust yeh teh pick the most interestin' fings."
You grinned. "So, we were going to see the wall and the Eastside Gallery too. Oh, I have a cool idea but ... I don't know if you have enough time before you guys leave."
"Wha' is it?" You asked.
"Well, it's pretty popular to go up on the tower at night but ... one of my friends works there so she could get us in without charge and waiting time" you told him.
His eyes widened. "I 'aven't been on the tower. And by night I bet tha's like picturesque."
You laughed. "Pretty much, the view is amazing."
"Better get goin' reyht now. It don't get dark too late."
"Are you sure, Alex?"
He nodded eagerly. "Absoluteleh sure."
And with that, he hurried to pay and you rushed out to make sure the man got to see everything he wanted to see during his time here. But of course, what you'd wanted to start as a quick visit to the Wall and the art that decorated it turned into a slow stroll, Alex taking your hand and pointing out almost all the masterpieces that you passed, making you feel like you were once again trapped in a wonderful dream, afraid to get up.
"Man, I 'ave teh come back 'ere soon, I ... this is all so damn inspirin', tha knows?" He said. "Just look at this and ... teh fink wha' the artist were finkin' ... I dunno..."
You laughed. "I know, I could spend hours here."
"Oh, I see why. Meh too, definiteleh. It means a lot teh meh tha' yeh took the time teh show meh everehfin'..."
You smiled. "I told you, it's a pleasure. I got a lot more than I bargained for when I came to the show last night."
Alex chuckled. "Reyht..." he smirked, stopping and looking at you, his eyes more intense than before as they locked with yours. "Is tha' so?"
You giggled, face flushed and heart racing as he leaned closer to you. "Mmm, yes..." you said, your voice just a hint and you were hardly prepared for the kiss his lips captured yours in.
Your arms wrapped around his neck as you leaned up to press your body against his, your lips melting against his and you kissed him back needily, with equally as much intensity. He completely took your breath away, knew just how to it as he nibbled teasingly on your bottom lip, drawing you in with one arm around your waist, hand cupping the side of your face to keep you close, make sure you had nowhere to go and he could make this kiss last for as long as he wanted.
It wasn't long enough for you, you would've preferred kissing him over breathing, not letting go of him when he broke the kiss and you both breathed rather heavily. "Fookin'ell, love" he muttered. "I got much more than I bargained for too when I asked securiteh teh come get yeh..."
Your heart was beating so fast, it was so hard to believe that everything that had happened since you'd had that smoke with him had really happened.
"It's gettin' dark, ain't it?" He asked but didn't bother looking away from your face and you felt ... special under his gaze, the way he looked at you making you a complete mess.
"I-I ... yeah..." you mumbled, managing to tear your eyes from his face and you looked up. "We should probably get going if we still want to do the tower."
He nodded slowly. "Reyht..." he said but made no attempt to let you go.
You laughed, rolling your eyes but staying in his arms all the same. "Alex!"
He smirked and pecked your lips quickly, nudging your nose playfully before slowly letting you go and grabbing your hand again. "Let's go."
-
Less than half an hour later, you were on the lift taking you high up above the city and you couldn't wait for Alex to see the view. You knew he was a sucker for beautiful views, no matter if it was nature or city aesthetic. And he would love this one, purely because of the hopeless romantic that shone through in his songwriting.
"Are you excited?" You giggled as the lift stopped and you looked at him, wiggling your eyebrows at him.
"I am" he chuckled, squeezing your hand when the doors slid open and you led him to step out, straight to the glass wall that exposed the lights of the city for miles,
You hadn't been up there yourself so it took your breath away all over again and you weren't disappointed by Alex's reaction.
"Fook, tha's quite a view, innit?" He said, his eyes wandering from the city to you and you could feel his gaze resting on you.
"Then look at it and not me" you laughed, rolling your eyes at him.
He laughed. "I like teh look at yeh too though" he said. "Tough decision."
"Oh, come on" you said. "I can practically see the lyrics forming in your head right now."
"About yeh? Oh, I've got a few ideas, love..."
You blushed darkly. "About the view, Turner."
Alex laughed. "Yeh, tha' one is quite the inspiration too" he smirked, turning his head to look back at the lights too. "Bof combined, maybeh."
"You're not writing a song about me."
He shrugged. "What if I am?" He grinned, giving you a wink and a smirk that suggested that it was already half-done in his brilliant mind. "Oh, wait..." he mumbled, fumbling for something in his jacket before pulling out his phone and taking a call. "Maffew?"
You could hear Matt's voice through the speaker. "Where are yeh, mate? Weh were supposed teh go like 'alf an hour ago..."
His eyes widened, your heart dropped.
"Reyht, um ... it'll take meh a moment teh get back..." he said slowly, looking at you questioningly.
"Half an hour" you said quietly.
"Half an hour" he repeated to Matt.
"Fookin'ell, hurreh up."
"Reyht, reyht, see yeh in a bit." He hung up, looking at you blankly. "Fook."
You forced a smile. "Let's get you back then" you said and moved to link arms with him.
"I realleh would rather stay..." he said quietly. "I 'aven't had the chance teh enjoy it all as much as I wanted..."
You swallowed. Neither had you.
"But I ... I s'pose yeh're reyht. I'll just 'ave teh come back soon."
You nodded but didn't manage to speak and just had one last look down at the city before you turned around, leading him back to the lift.
Both of you stayed silent on the way down, almost all the way back to the venue as you sat on the tube.
There were so many words in your head, so many things that you knew you couldn't say. You wondered if this had been worth it, worth the feelings that would hit you once he was gone and the answer was yes, yes of course it'd been worth it. But you wanted more, you weren't satisfied with just this, just being some girl he'd spent twenty-four hours in Berlin with. You were selfish, you were greedy, you wanted more of him.
When you stepped out of the station, you stopped and pulled him in, cupping his face into your hands and kissing him deeply, lips moving eagerly with his and he returned the kiss instantly, his arms wrapping tightly around you, your body flush against his. His lips were demanding, needy, ignited a fire in your belly that you knew you wouldn't manage to extinguish but the aftertaste was bittersweet, you knew he'd pull away and he'd leave the lingering feeling of something you would end up wanting forever, something that you couldn't have. You couldn't have him.
"Al!"
You drew apart, lips swollen, face flushed and eyes wide, the both of you.
"Just a minute" Alex muttered and you turned to see Matt raising his hands in defense before going back to the bus.
You let out a sigh, brushing your thumbs gently across Alex's cheeks. "Thank you" you said. "For ... the best twenty-four hours of my live."
He laughed quietly. "They were pretteh good, yeh..."
You could tell he wanted to say something else but he closed his mouth, biting his lip. "What?"
"Give meh yehr phone number."
You raised your eyebrows at the unexpected words. "And then? You can call me next time you're playing a show in Berlin?"
He nodded, the look on his face quite serious. "Yes. I don't want this teh beh goodbye."
"What do you want this to be then?" You asked with a smile, a little more hopeful now.
"A ... see yeh la'er?"
You giggled. "Really?"
"If ... if tha's wha' yeh want too. I dunno, I just ... don't fink I can forget yeh. And I 'ave teh show yeh tha' song."
"I'll hear it on the next record."
He smacked his lips together. "Yeh're makin' it 'ard for meh."
You sighed, shaking your head. "I just don't want to get my hopes up for promises you won't keep."
He pouted. "I will keep it. I'm a man o' me word."
You thought for a moment. This was worth it, the wait would be worth it, he was so worth it.
"Weh can figure it out?"
Another sigh and you fumbled for your phone, unlocking it and before you knew it, he'd saved your number and called you so you could save his.
"We'll figure it out." You leaned up to peck his lips before turning around, because you knew that otherwise you would never leave. Little was left that was keeping you from just getting on the bus with him.
"Don't lose yehr moves until weh see each other again" he called as you were already walking away.
You turned around and looked at him over your shoulder and he smiled, raising his hand in a wave and you giggled, shaking your head before turning it to look forward again, this time as you walked swaying your hips a little more, laughing when you heard him whistle.

Wherever the Winds Take You: Chapter 8
A/N: As promised, here we are. This one’s probably going to be the shortest chapter this time around at just under 3k words (hard to believe that would have been considered a long chapter in the old instalment). Also, I’d love to get some feedback from those reading, good or bad. I’m always looking for new ways to improve and I want your guys’ opinions/ideas ;)
Deléson, France
July 8
16:02
As Lina waited just outside of the old building on the empty field lot, she found herself floating anxiously outside it's threshold and pulling anxiously at a strand of hair.
The cool early afternoon breeze that blew around her was lovely for floating, but it was also very cold and gave the French girl goosebumps despite the denim jacket she wore. The girl yanked at the hem of her sundress, which she was now regretting wearing with the wind.
Casual street attire, or as Wally like to call them 'civvies', felt alienish on her flesh. Being in the presence of the Justice League and her comrades without her uniform? That just seemed odd to her. She felt that it blended the line between 'Lina Dubois' and 'Zephyr'. So much so that, just to add a little bit of normalcy, she had worn the gold sash that usually was worn around the waist of her uniform. It helped ground her, and she was thankful for it.
As the zeta-tube beside her whirred to life and announced Red Tornado's designation, Lina suddenly snapped to attention. Her hands dropped to her sides, her shoulders straightened, and her feet made contact with the ground. When the shape of a large man began to appear, Lina to an excited step toward the figure.
"So?" Lina asked once Red Tornado had fully formed. She was bouncing on the balls of her feet. "What's happening?"
"I am to escort you to the decided location, where you will be given the 'run down'." The robot explained.
Lina quirked an eyebrow, tipping her head to the side like an animal. "And what location is this?"
Red Tornado paused, then replied. "Happy Harbor."
Lina's mind automatically began to race. Happy Harbor? Why did that name sound so familiar? She must have read it in the League's files somewhere…but what made it special.
"Oh, the sea currents are so nice there…" A cheerful voice rang out.
"So much nicer that the stuffy Paris air." Another, stricter voice sounded.
Lina paid the voices no mind as she happily bobbed over to the computer, wasting no time as it read of both her and her mentor's names and numbers.
Mount Justice, Happy Harbor
July 8
8:30
Mount Justice.
The answer to Lina's question had been ‘Mount Justice’.
The original HQ for the League, before an informant accidentally disclosed their location and it was attacked by the Joker and his evil Joker Venomed Monkeys. Mount Justice appeared to be as advertised, a mountain. But the reality of it lay in the bottom foundation where a hollowed out cave was secured tightly. It was right on the water, so mixed with the smell of wet rock and metal was the salty scent of the sea.
Even inside, Lina could feel the cool yet friendly sea currents. They were marvelous. Almost wonderous enough to distract from the fact that she; along with Kaldur, Robin, Wally, and Superboy, were all standing in a row and being spoken to by the co-leader of the Justice League himself.
"This cave was the original secret sanctuary for the Justice League's operations. We are calling it into service again." Batman explained. "Since you five are determined to stay and fight the good fight; you'll do it on League terms."
"Red Tornado volunteered to live here and be your supervisor. Black Canary is in charge of training."
Although she raised an eyebrow and sent a quick glance at her two teachers, Lina felt at ease. She knew both's teaching methods and personal principles. Red would be level-headed, a good den mother, but he also leaves people to do and learn on their own, lets them lead their own lives. He wouldn't try to control the team, he trusted them. And Dinah, although tough, was a great martial arts teacher. She could be the motherly, but strict hand the team needed for adult guidance.
"I will deploy you on missions." Batman explained.
"Real missions?" Robin asked.
"Yes, but covert." The Bat explained.
"The League will handle the obvious stuff." Flash piped in, and then tapped on his lightning-themed insignia. "There's a reason we have these targets on our chests."
"But Cadmus proves the bad guys are getting smarter." Aquaman explained. "Batman needs a team that can operate on the sly."
"So we're the Justice League's spies now?" Lina thought to herself. "Doesn't sound too bad…"
"The six of you will be that team." Batman finished.
"Cool!" Robin exclaimed, then recoil. "Wait…six?"
Batman turned, and all five teens looked past to see Martian Manhunter stepping forward, accompanied by a young Martian girl. She couldn't have been older than 16 judging by her appearance, green skin the same time as the man beside her, shoulder-length red hair, a face full of freckles, and a tentative but friendly smile. Her outfit was much like the Manhunter's as well, red X on the chest included, only hers appeared to look more like a white t-shirt and blue skirt.
"This is Miss Martian, Martian Manhunter's niece." Batman explained.
"Hello." The Martian girl greeted shyly.
"Oh mon dieu! Finally!" Lina exclaimed, throwing her hands up in victory. "We finally get another young, female hero!"
She heard Dinah let out a snort of laughter, and Miss Martian's smile seemed to widen at the welcome. But the moment was cut off by Wally leaning over to Robin and fake-whispering.
"Liking this gig more every minute." He muttered, then raced over to the new recruit. "Welcome aboard! I'm Kid Flash. That's Zephyr, Robin, Aqualad, Superboy; it's cool if you forget their names."
"I'm honoured to be included." Miss Martian replied with a shy nod.
"Awww." Lina thought. "She's super cute!" The French girl smiled back and flew closer, taking the alien's hands in her own. "Please, ignore Kid Mouth. We're honoured to have you here, seriously."
The green girl blushed, and something seemed to spark in her reddish-hue eyes. "Thank you."
"Hey Superboy!" Robin called out, and Lina turned her head to see that the clone had been the only one not to step up to greet the new girl. Turning away, Lina gently let go of Miss Martian's hands and faced everyone. As Superboy stepped forward, a small blush seemed to grow on the green skin of the Martian. Then, her white t-shirt faded to a dark black, the same tone as the red ‘S' shirt the clone wore.
"I-I like your t-shirt." The girl stuttered.
Feeling his gaze on her, Lina looked up to see Kaldur peering down at her. The moment their eyes met, they knew what they both wanted to say.
"The team has found its couple"
After a moment where Robin elbowed Superboy in the ribs and Wally slung his arm around the boy of steel's shoulder, Kaldur broke his gaze with Lina to look at everyone.
"Today is the day." He spoke.
And everyone knew that he was right.
As everyone broke off and began to chat; Robin, Wally, Lina, and Kaldur grouped together, the youngest two with a scheming look in their knitted brows.
“We’re missing someone.” Robin whispered. “We should try to talk to Seedy-Roy-again.”
“Once we explain this great gig, he’ll have to want to join, right?” Wally asked. “I mean, it’s been nearly four days. Surely he’s calmed down a little.”
Lina and Kaldur looked back to one another, silently communicating. Both of them had reached out to their friend, with varying degrees of success. But the probability that Roy would leave his anger and betrayal behind him and move on…
“We may not have the best chances.” Lina shrugged. “But I’m more than willing to try, we have to.”
Kaldur nodded. “Agreed. Last we spoke, he was working on getting the best of an illegal weapons smuggling ring, run by a man named ‘The Brick’.”
“The Brick, real name Daniel Brickwell. One of Green Arrow’s rogues.” Wally nodded, recalling the man’s file. Robin pulled up his holo-watch.
“According to bat/league files, there’s been talk on the streets about a new shipment of weapons coming in a little over a week...in Star City.” Robin read in a whisper.
“Then Roy will definitely be there.” Lina spoke as she propped her hands on her hips.
“And so shall we.” Kaldur added, nodding at all of his comrades.
Star City
July 17
23:16
The shipment came just as it had been predicted, located on an old fishermen dock that hadn’t been legitimately in-use for upwards of five years. But according to League files, the place was popular amongst gangs for covert overseas shipments. Just like the one that was going down tonight.
There was only a small team handling the illegal weapons, which gave everyone the feeling this wasn’t going to be a fair fight.
As two men carried out the first crate, an arrow shot down at their feet and began releasing a thick gas. The men dropped the box, causing one of the guns inside to topple onto the gravel ground, sliding straight to the feet of a man that was easily seven feet tall, and thick with muscle. Dark red skin the colour of baked clay, and light hair pulled into tight dreadlocks; The Brick kicked the gun up into his hands.
Aiming the pistol, The Brick quickly spotted his target. Up on top of a crane, a redheaded male not yet a man, but too old to be a boy. He was dressed in a familiar red and yellow tunic, but the absence of a feathered hat made re his outfit appear incomplete.
"You again!" Brick bellowed. "I'm starting to get insulted Green Arrow's not messing up my operations personally!"
Brick shot at Roy, who easily dodged by flipping onto a nearby piece of metal and as shots continued to fly at him he ran across a bridge, loading up his bow. When the arrow was notched, he whipped around and fired; the arrow meeting its target and blowing up the gun and the air around it.
Brick faltered, looking down at the shredded pieces of cloth hanging from his body that used to be suit.
"Do you know what I pay for for a suit in my size." The giant man bellowed, then turned to the four men beside him. "Scorch the Earth boys."
But just as the men took out their pistols, two of the gangbangers were knocked out by a yellow blur. As the other two directed their aim at the direction the blur had escaped, their guns were knocked out of their hands with flying metal projectiles. The two men went to step back, but they were stopped by a dark-skinned boy with glowing arm tattoos slashing them in the chests with whips made of water.
Brick, angered that he had become outnumbered, dug his hands into the Earth, pulled up a chunk of it, and launched it at the redhead from before.
But just as the boulder of concrete was about to hit the archer, a young girl dressed in yellow and gold flew out and waved her hands, whisking the boulder safely to the edge of the dock.
"Speedy." The girl greeted, throwing a look over her shoulder.
"Zephyr." The archer replied.
As Brick threw another boulder of concrete, Kaldur leapt up and sliced through them with his water swords as if it were warm butter. Just as the young heroes were in the clear, Roy shot an arrow at Brick which erupted into the same thick smoke as before.
"The cave is perfect, it has everything the team will need." Kaldur explained.
"For covert missions." Robin added, popping behind them seemingly from nowhere. "Y'know, spy stuff."
"Plus I have it on good authority that our only supervisor isn't the, as you say, 'helicopter parent' type." Lina explained. "No overbearing Leaguer watching over our shoulders."
"And wait 'till you see Superboy and Miss. Martian…" Wally pipped up, running up the side of the wall they were on, "but I saw her first!"
With a loud and angry roar emitting from their adversary, the five young adults turned to see Brick wrenching another piece of concrete free.
Moving on instinct, Lina flew forward and created a bubble around her and her friends. The boulder crashed into it and promptly crumbled.
Once the bubble was released, Roy ran out and sent a barrage of arrows to the giant-sized man, but they only succeeded in causing him to lose his footing.
"Tell Arrow not to send boys to do a man's job." Brick growled.
"Uh, rude." Lina thought, but shook it off.
Roy glared as he loaded another arrow, aiming straight at Brick. Grinning, the man opened his arms to welcome the attack.
"Go ahead."
With a sharp 'thwap' the arrow met the redish man's chest and a thick, lumpy substance emitted from the point, quickly beginning to engulf the man until he could no longer move.
Regrouping around Roy; Robin, Kaldur, and Lina found themselves behind the archer while Wally zoomed in front to observe the damage.
"High-density polyurethane foam, nice!" Wally spoke as he gave the archer a thumbs-up.
Roy gave the boy a curt nod and then turned, walking towards a gap in the shipment containers surrounding them.
"So Speedy, you in?" Robin asked.
There was a long pause as Roy stopped, sending a look to Kaldur and Lina. The look he gave them was friendly, but distant.
"Pass." Now he was addressing everyone. "I'm done letting Arrow and the League tell me what to do. I don't need a babysitter, or a clubhouse to 'hang out' with the other kids. You're just playing their game, this is something they're doing to keep you busy and 'in your place'." As he began to walk away, the shadows seemed to swallow him up. "If you guys want to run around and play Jr. Justice League, be my guest...but I don't want any part in it."
And then he was gone.

Play-Date
(Art by @patanu102)
>It was a nice day at Ketcham Park. But while his siblings enjoyed themselves, running around and roughhousing with one another, Bobby was content to sit alone on a bench with his face buried in a novel. Heck, he’d only even come because his mom wanted him to get some fresh air for a change. > “Hey, you.” > “…Huh?” Bobby looked up from his book, only for his blood to run cold as he saw none other than a very miffed-looking Gwen standing before him. “Um…” Bobby glanced around before pointing at himself. “…Me…?” > “Yeah, you.” Gwen snapped. “D’you see anyone ELSE around?!” The young boy frowned and shook his head. > “S-sorry… um, did you need something…?” He asked apprehensively. > “Yeah, I do.” She said. Bobby swallowed. Though he mainly knew Gwen through Leia and Lemy, he knew that the girl could be bad news. He looked past her towards Lemy for support, but the young metalhead was far too wrapped up in his wrestling match with Lacy to pay attention to anything else. > “I don’t have any money…” > “I don’t want’cher money.” Gwen said. “You and the freak are s’posed to be real close, right?” > “The… freak…?” Bobby asked, raising an eyebrow in confusion. Gwen sighed and rolled her eyes. > “…Lemy, I mean.” The girl clarified. Bobby blinked, giving a small nod of his head. > “Well, yeah…” He muttered. “Why?” Gwen’s lips curled into a devious, sneering smirk that sent a chill down Bobby’s spine. > “Perfect,” She said. “Because you’re gonna be my boyfriend.”
> For a few moments, Bobby said nothing. He stared at her in silence, as though her words hadn’t quite registered within his mind. Then, he tilted his head slightly. > “…I-I’m sorry, what?” He asked. > “Ya heard me.” Gwen scoffed. “You’re my new boyfriend. Congratulations.” Bobby went silent again, his brow furrowing in confusion. > “Um… right…” Bobby coughed into his fist, his cheeks reddening slightly. “I-I thought you and Lemy-“ > “Not ANYMORE.” Gwen spat, her voice dripping with venom. “He dumped me for that… that SKANK with the blue hair.” The timid boy winced; he’d completely forgotten about that. > “O-oh yeah. Sorry to hear that… you two, uh… you just… had such great chemistry together…” Bobby trailed off, averting his eyes as he spoke. In truth, their relationship had always seemed like kids’ stuff to him… she was only six, after all, and had little in common with his rockin’ brother. He’d assumed that their split had been amicable, but clearly that was not the case. “B-but why ME?” > “Simple. If he sees you and me together, he’ll get so jealous that he’ll BEG me to take him back.” Gwen said with a confident smirk. > “…Oh.” Bobby grumbled. Of COURSE it would be about that… as if anyone would actually be interested in him, right? The young boy sighed and shook his head. “Well, forget it. I’m not doing it.” > “…Come again?” Gwen narrowed her eyes, making him shrink back against the bench slightly. > “I-I said no.” He repeated. “I’m not interest-“ Bobby yelped as Gwen grabbed the front of his hoodie and yanked him to his feet. She didn’t even need to make any threats; her cold glare spoke volumes. “Er, th-that is… what’s in it for me?” Bobby stammered, laughing nervously.
> “Hmmm…” Gwen let go and rubbed her chin in thought. “I guess I’ll pay ya.” > “…I don’t want your dirty money, Gwen…” Bobby mumbled. > “’Dirty money’…? Sheesh, whadda ya think we are, the mob?” Gwen scoffed, crossing her arms. > “N-no, just… you know. It wouldn’t feel right.” Bobby said. The imposing girl groaned and pinched the bridge of her nose. > “…How is LEMY’S brother such a boy scout?” She grumbled under her breath before letting out a sigh. “Look… I’ll make it up t’ya somehow, okay? I just… need your help with this. Please.” Bobby averted his eyes, his brow furrowing slightly. There was a note of vulnerability to her tone that he hadn’t heard from her before… she sounded desperate. Clearly, she had valued her relationship with Lemy more than he had. > Bobby pursed his lips in thought. He didn’t want to make Lemy jealous, but then again, WOULD he be? The rocker had broken up with Gwen for a reason, after all. Besides, he seemed more than happy with Lina. Surely nothing would come of this. All he’d have to do was play along until she gave up, and he’d be rewarded for his troubles. > Besides, it wasn’t like he could just say ‘no’ when she asked him in THAT tone. > “…What, um…” Bobby sighed in resignation. “What would I need to do…?” > “Easy!” Gwen said with a grin. “Y’just need to pretend to be my boyfriend for a while.” > “R-right…” Bobby stammered. “Soooo… what would I need to DO…?” Gwen shot him an unimpressed glare. > “…Ain’tcha ever had a girl-“ Gwen paused, glancing the meek boy over for a moment: short, pudgy, poor posture, zero confidence, zero charisma. She sighed. “No… ‘course you haven’t.” > “Sorry…”
> “Well, first of all. MAN UP.” Gwen snapped. “No boyfriend of mine’s gonna act like a spineless dweeb.” > “B-but I’m not really your-“ Bobby was cut off by Gwen clamping her hand over his mouth. > “Shut up.” She ordered. “Anyway, it ain’t hard. Y’know… take me on dates. Compliment me. Hold my hand. Couple stuff. Maybe kiss-“ Bobby’s eyes went wide and Gwen quickly withdrew her hand in disgust as she felt him spit against her palm. “Ew!” > “K-k-k-KISS?!” Bobby sputtered, his face red as a tomato. “I-I’ve never kissed anyone! I don’t know how to kiss!” > “I said MAYBE, you little spaz. Ugh…” Gwen grimaced and wiped her hand on his sleeve. “Look, y’just gotta treat me like you’d treat a REAL girlfriend. I’m sure even a dork like you can figure it out… you ARE a boy, ain’tcha?” Bobby swallowed and nodded. She was right… how hard could it be? He’d watched enough TV to have at least some understanding of how relationships worked. > “Well, um…” Bobby chewed his lip, fidgeting awkwardly. “I guess… I could give it a TRY, at least…” > “Good boy.” Gwen said with a smirk. Bobby sighed and hung his head; he was already starting to regret this decision. > “…So what now…?” The boy asked. “Do we go over there, or something?” > “Nah… too obvious.” Gwen sat down beside him. “We want this to look convincin’, so we need to act natural.” > “Natural… right. Sure. I can do that.” Bobby muttered. He sat up straight and rested his hands in his lap, anxiously drumming his fingers against his knees. His cheeks were flushed and there was sweat dripping from his brow. > “THAT’S natural?! Y’look like y’got a stick up your butt!” > “Wh-what’s wrong with this?” He asked. Gwen growled in irritation and pushed him back against the bench.
> “RELAX. Here.” Gwen scooted a bit closer and leaned against his side. “Put your arm around me.” > “Um… okay…” Hesitantly, Bobby slid his arm behind her, resting it against the back of the bench… and not so much as grazing Gwen herself. She turned to him with a baffled, annoyed glare. > “…Are you seriously hover-handing me?” > “I, er… I mean, you know…” Bobby laughed nervously. Gwen groaned and buried her face in her palm; she was starting to regret not approaching the girly one instead, but then again, she’d needed a boy willing to take orders. > “Put. Your arm. AROUND me.” She hissed. Bobby gulped and did as he was told, resting his arm against the girl’s back and gently grasping her shoulder. She rolled her eyes and leaned her head against his shoulder. “Keep reading.” > “Huh…?” Bobby cocked an eyebrow. “But… isn’t that kind of rude?” > “It’s called cuddlin’, ya putz.” Gwen scoffed. “Just two lovebirds enjoyin’ the day. Nothin’ weird about that.” > “Oh, um… yeah, I guess.” He picked up his book, trying his best to ignore the girl pressed against his side and the resultant heat in his cheeks. > “Relax,” Gwen said again. “You’re all tense. Jus’ pretend I’m one of your sisters or somethin’.” > “…Sorry.” Bobby shut his eyes a moment and took a deep breath. He tried to imagine that it was Lizy snuggled against him instead… the little girl would often fall asleep on him when they watched movies together, and THAT certainly never bothered him. > Gwen, meanwhile, kept her gaze focused on her ex-boyfriend as he attempted to put Lacy in a chokehold. Surely, he would notice them soon enough.
> The two young ‘lovers’ stayed like that for some time. It didn’t take long for Bobby to get used to the girl on his shoulder, and he had almost forgotten she was there until she spoke up. > “So what are you reading, anyway?” > “Huh? Oh… um, it’s called The Fountains of Paradise.” Bobby replied. > “Sounds lame.” > “N-no… it’s actually really interesting. It’s about a space elevator-“ > “Like I said, lame.” Gwen repeated with a yawn. “Reading’s boring anyway. Just watch the movie or something.” > “…There is no movie.” Bobby grunted. > “Not even exciting enough for a movie, huh?” Gwen chuckled. Her ‘boyfriend’ sighed, his brow knitting in agitation. > “Not everything works as a film, you know… and I like books better, anyway.” He huffed. “Besides, I’ve read this one already.” Gwen cocked an eyebrow. > “Why would you read a book twice?” > “The first time I read it to read it,” Bobby explained. “This time, I’m reading it to GET it.” Gwen blinked in confusion. > “Sheesh, you’re even more of a loser than I thought.” She groaned, shaking her head. “So I guess you’re one o’ them brainy-types, huh?” > “…I guess.” Bobby mumbled as he turned the page. Gwen fell silent once more, glancing back towards Lemy. He and Lacy had stopped their roughhousing and were now sitting against a tree, idly chatting with one another. She sighed and shifted her focus to the book Bobby was reading. > Bobby’s shoulder was surprisingly comfortable, most likely due to him nearly matching her height… unlike Lemy, she didn’t need to awkwardly stretch her neck to reach. Soon, she found her eyelids growing heavy…
> Bobby lowered his book to his lap and squeezed his eyes shut, massaging them with his thumb and forefinger. How long had he been reading for…? He opened his eyes, blinking a few times until his vision returned to him. It was getting late… still bright, but the park had already begun to empty out. Bobby perked up as he noticed Lemy and Lacy approaching him. > “H-hey… Gwen, he’s coming! What should I-“ Bobby looked to his side only to find that Gwen had fallen asleep on his shoulder. “…Gwen…?” > “Yo, Bobby! You ready to-“ Lemy trailed off as he noticed his brother’s companion. “…Is that Gwen…?” > “Um… y-yeah…” Bobby forced a shakey grin. “We’re, um… w-w-we’re… dating. I guess…” Lemy’s eyes widened, a broad smile crossing his face. > “No shit?” > “Bobby has a girlfriend?!” Lacy gasped excitedly. > “Way to go, bro!” Lemy cheered the younger boy and ruffled his hair. Bobby laughed nervously, feeling his chest swell with pride… before remembering that he didn’t REALLY have a girlfriend. “You and Gwen, huh? Never woulda thought it.” > “W-well, you know… guess I just got a thing for tough girls…” Bobby lied. His big brother chuckled. > “You and me both. Well, we were ‘bout to head back… you ready to go?” Lemy asked. His little brother frowned slightly and glanced over at Gwen. She was still sleeping soundly, and quite frankly, he’d hate to wake her. > “Um… you guys go on ahead. I’m gonna stick around a bit longer.” > “Suit yourself,” The metalhead said with a shrug. “Just don’t stay out too long, okay?” > “I won’t.” Bobby smirked. “See you guys.” > “Bye, Bobby! Have fun with your girlfriend!” Lacy said happily, making the boy blush. > “Later, BJ. Gimme a ring if anyone messes with ya, got it?” > “Sure.” Bobby and his siblings exchanged a wave before the two headed off, leaving him alone with Gwen.
> “Nnn…” Some time later, Gwen finally began to stir. “Wha…” > “Gwen?” > “GAH!” Gwen yelped and, on instinct, decked Bobby across the face. The boy was knocked from the bench and hit the ground with a startled grunt of pain. Gwen’s eyes shot wide open. “Bobby?!” > “Owww…!” He whined. “Wh-why’d you do that?” > “Ah, crap… you okay?” The flustered girl offered Bobby her hand; he sniffled and accepted it, letting her hoist him to his feet. “Sorry ‘bout that… ya kinda spooked me there.” > “Th-that really hurt, Gwen…” Bobby whimpered, rubbing at his throbbing cheek. > “Ah, quit whinin’… I barely even got ya.” She muttered as she dusted him off, though her cheeks were tinged red with embarrassment. “U-um… how long was I out for? > “…A bit.” Bobby grumbled, flexing his jaw a few times before looking at her again. “Lemy left.” > “He LEFT?!” Gwen snapped, making Bobby flinch. “Why the heck didn’t you wake me?!” > “I, um… y-you looked peaceful, so I didn’t want to disturb you…” The boy mumbled sheepishly. Gwen groaned and ran her hand down her face. > “Great. Just great. Did he notice, at least?” She asked. Bobby nodded. “What’d he say?!” > “He, uh… he congratulated me.” > “And…?” > “…That’s it.” Bobby muttered. > “…That’s it?” Gwen asked, receiving another nod in response. Gwen’s face fell. “Did he… LOOK jealous, at least?” Bobby shook his head. The girl averted her eyes, her brow scrunching up in sadness. > “Gwen…? Are you okay?” For a few moments, Bobby got no reply; then, Gwen sighed and hung her head. > “Don’t worry about it.” Gwen mumbled. “Anyway, thanks for the help, but I guess that’s it for today. I need to get home.” > “Do you, um… do you want a ride?” Bobby asked.
> “A ride?” Gwen asked. Bobby nodded toward the red bicycle leaning against a nearby tree. > “You can ride on the back.” Bobby said. “I-I’m pretty good at it, so if you hold on to me you won’t fall off…” > “Thanks for the offer, but I’m kinda out of the way-“ > “I don’t mind,” Bobby assured her. “And it’ll be a lot faster than walking.” Gwen pursed her lips a she considered his offer; finally, she shrugged. > “Y’know what, why not.” She said, walking over to the bike and looking it over. “This thing better be safe, though.” > “I-it is. I give Lemy rides all the time.” Bobby explained as he packed away his book. Gwen cocked an eyebrow. > “YOU give LEMY rides?” The girl asked. > “…He doesn’t know how to ride a bike.” Bobby said quietly, earning him a snort of laughter from Gwen. > “That guy’s somethin’, alright.” She chuckled. Bobby kicked up the stand and wheeled his bike back onto the path before climbing on. He gestured for her to get on behind him, and she did so. > “Hold on tight.” The boy instructed. > “Yeah, yeah…” Gwen huffed and wrapped her arms around his stomach. “Seriously though, if I fly offa this thing I’m gonna break your face. Got it?” > “Y-yeah, I got it…” Bobby stammered as he kicked off and began pedaling. Gwen gasped in surprise and hugged him tighter around the midsection. > Gwen couldn’t help but be slightly nervous at first… riding a bike without being the one controlling it was a bit of an odd feeling, and ever time a stray stick or pebble rattled the bike she found herself clinging onto Bobby for dear life. >But by the time they pulled in front of her home fifteen minutes later, she had grown to trust her chauffeur; she had relaxed against the boy’s back, simply enjoying the sensation of the wind rushing through her hair. > Heck, she was kind of disappointed that it was over so soon.
> “…Huh.” Bobby muttered as he looked up at the modest, middle-class home. “Kinda expected something bigger…” > “Yeah, you’re not the only one.” Gwen grunted as she climbed off the bike. “Not everyone at the academy is rich, you know.” Bobby frowned apologetically. > “S-sorry, I didn’t mean-“ > “Ah, it’s fine. Like I said, you’re not the only one.” Gwen said with a dismissive wave of her hand. “Well, thanks for the ride, Bobblehead.” > “You don’t need to thank-“ Bobby began, only trail off; he looked at her with his brow furrowed in confusion. “…B-Bobblehead?” > “Yeah. You got a problem with that?” She asked. Bobby swallowed and shook his head. “Good. Anyway, I’ll be in touch for our next date.” > “Sure, I… w-wait, what?” Bobby sputtered. “B-but Lemy-“ > “What, you didn’t think I was givin’ up that easily, did ya?” Gwen said with a smirk. Bobby groaned and hung his head; it seemed that he wasn’t going to get out of this arrangement so soon. > “Gwen… I don’t-“ Bobby trailed off as Gwen shot him an annoyed look, but he took a deep breath and pressed on. “…I think you should give this up. It’s… not gonna work.” > “What do you know?” Gwen scoffed. > “I know Lemy,” Bobby shot back. “A-and I know he likes Lina a lot. You’re just going to keep getting hurt-“ Bobby was cut off by Gwen flicking his sore cheek. He winced in pain and covered it with his hand. “Ow!” > “Like I said, I ain’t givin’ up that easily.” Gwen snapped, only for her expression to quickly soften. “…Thanks for worryin’ about me, but I’m a big girl. I know how to take a bit of pain.” > “And GIVE it, too…” Bobby grumbled under his breath. Just as he lowered his hand, Gwen swooped in and planted a light kiss on his cheek. Bobby turned bright red, his eyes going wide in surprise. “Wh-wh-wha…?!” > “You’re alright, Bobblehead.” Gwen teased, leaning away with a chuckle. “Seeya next time~!” She winked before turning and heading into her house, leaving the flustered boy alone on her driveway. He brought a hand to his cheek and lightly touched the spot where she had kissed him; somehow, it didn’t seem to hurt so bad anymore. > “Yeah… seeya next time.” Bobby muttered, a small smirk crossing his reddened face.

When he first finds out he doesn’t pressure you to show him your art.

When he does get to see it, he finds it so amazing.
“Whoa, [F/n]! You’ve got a real talent here.”
He’s so very supportive.
If you make your own paints he will pick up alien plants with cool colors on missions for you to make paints out of.
Always on the look out for anything he think you may like for your art.
If you’re up for it, he loves to watch you.
You often end up sketching him as he’s working on things.
Keith:
He learns about your art when you present something to him.
Showing him a sketch or painting you had made and were on the fence about.
“Wait, I didn’t know you were an artist.”
“It’s just a hobby really.”
Insists to see what else you’ve done.
He loves all your works and likes to have them where he can see them all the time.
If he catches you sketching or painting he will end up watching over your shoulder.
Loves to catch you sketching him.
Lance:
He’s an oblivious boy.
Had exactly zero idea you were an artist.
When he finds out he’s so shocked.
“HOLD ON! You’re an artist?”
“Lance, my paintings are literally all over my room.”
When he hears that he wants to see all of the stuff you’ve done.
If you make something for him he puts it on display in his room.
He loves it and wishes he had your talent, so he wants to help.
WILL model for you.

Finding it absolutely stunning.
“[F/n]! Why didn’t you tell me about this sooner?”
Type of guy to help you with inspiration.
Sketching or painting any specifically interesting looking dishes he makes.
You have a sketchbook dedicated to his culinary masterpieces.
Pidge:
She’s kinda oblivious like Lance.
Never really noticed the multiple items in your room until you pointed it out.
All around she’s impressed.
Appreciates the time you put into them because she feels that with her being an engineer.
Will help you make anything you need for your art.
“You need more paints? I’ll make them.”
She loves to help you out and make it easy for you.
Allura:
Learning about your art intrigues her.
She wants to know about what art on Earth is like.
You explain to her different styles as she watches you.
“So this type of art is called modernism.”
Eventually she will show you some Altean style art and will show you how to do it.
Everyone is confused because all of a sudden art is everywhere in the castle.
Coran:
So very enthralled with your art.
He loves learning about new things and Earth art styles are definitely new.
He will tell you so many facts about art on Altea.
“I once saw the most realistic painting of a Duflax”
Will look up old altean art and show it to you.
You try and recreate some for him.
He treasures it.

Exhaulted Part Eight
Parts: Prologue, One, Two, Three (M), Four, Five, Six (M), Seven, Eight, Nine (Coming soon!),
Genre: Drama, Romance, Violence, drug use, plus more!
Pairing: UnidentifiedxReaderXUnidentified
Word Count: 6.2K
A/N: Sorry for the week break, but it really did help! Thank you all for understanding!!!
I dip two fingers into the lighter blue paint, painting thick strokes into the darker blue. It was mixing a bit, leaving a nice kind of marble effect. The texture of the paint was extremely rough, the paint keeping the look of multiple fingers all over the painting. With a third finger, I add a little white, trying to make a look of wispy clouds. I started earlier today with the grass, multiple greens and colors for wild flowers all over myself already.
In the corner of the art room was my luggage already packed and ready to go. I wanted to get some work done on my painting before we left. Lina and I already went to get myself some swim wear, though I’m not exactly thrilled to wear it. Mrs. Hana gave me the time off, as the King was also taking some time to travel to do business and what not. She wished me well, telling me to help keep these ‘brats’ in line.
Lina also went to the salon and got her hair done, turning it into a nice teal color. She was trying to convince me to change my hair color. I was thinking about it for a while, but I didn’t want to spend so much money on getting it done. So needless to say, we went and got the dye to do it ourselves when we’re on vacation.
The cloud looked great as I walked a few steps away, looking at it from far away. A lot of it is done, though I haven’t done the lake yet. That was going to be the hardest part. I hear the door open behind me, some footsteps coming in.
“Pretty,” I hear, the voice of Baekhyun coming up quickly behind me. I look back, smiling.
“Finger painting extreme,” Junmyeon says with a smile, “I looks great!”
“Thank you,” I say, taking off my gloves, attempting to avoid the paint. I look up, seeing Baekhyun, Junmyeon and Minseok. They were all in casual clothes, tees and sweatpants. I quickly close the paint tubes, washing off the very little paint I have on a pallet in the sink. I turn, seeing them gather my luggage. “Oh, you don’t have to-”
“You have paint literally all over you, Y/N,” Baekhyun says, smiling while motioning to my shirt. It was an old t-shirt for a restaurant that isn’t even open anymore, but I had pain specks all over. Some dry, some wet, it’s hard to tell.
“The smudge of purple across your nose is cute, though,” Minseok says with a smile as we walk out, I lock the door to the art room behind me with the key they have the art majors have.
I laugh, “Oh, I forget that was there…”
We get outside, two large vans out there. Soon the plan was laid out for me. Kyungsoo was driving one and Junmyeon was driving the other. The trunks were now full as well as the back seat. The plan was Junmyeon had more patience, so the loud people would go with him. Lina, Chanyeol, Baekhyun and Jongdae would be with Junmyeon. Yixing, Sehun, Minseok, and I are with Kyungsoo. They had radios to talk back and forth with one another to talk when they’re pulling over, what gas station to stop at, et. cetera. Personally, I just wanted to nap the whole time. I pull off my painting tee, turning it inside out and fold it, shoving it into my bag. I wore a tank under it that was black and some athletic shorts. I get into the van that was ours, picking out the backmost seat.
“What are you doing,” Lina asks, poking her head in with a smile.
“Getting ready to nap,” I answer with a yawn, getting the pillow situated and pulling the blanket over me. I quickly got these out of my luggage before they put it into the back. I get myself settled, laying down and waited.
I must have fallen asleep for a bit, since the next thing I know, I wake up, looking around at the sky which was now dark as the sun was starting to set. I look around, seeing Sehun and Yixing were both asleep in the seat ahead of me, Kyungsoo driving quietly. Minseok was next to me, his eyes looking at a tablet. My feet in his lap, one hand resting on my calf. A pair of glasses with black frames rests on his face as his attention went from the screen to me. He glances over, seeing me lean up. I wave, yawning as he smiles at me, “Good morning beautiful!”
I feel my face faintly flush at that. It’s weird hearing someone call me beautiful. “Where are we,” I ask, looking around for my phone. I’ve apparently received 47 video messages from Lina. I roll my eyes, not being away enough yet to go through those.
“We’re in the East, soon to get to a small city called Aldria,” He says, shutting his tablet off. “We’re going to find a restaurant to get some dinner at and stretch our legs before we travel to the house. We have to stop by a grocery storefirst, and from there we go to the house.”
I nod, stretching my arms, letting out a loud yawn, “What were you reading?”
“Just some case studies, nothing particularly interesting,” He says, pushing his glasses up on his face. “Just about if threats online are actually considered threats as if someone said them to you in person. How different those two situations are, yet how they make a person uncomfortable and feel like they're in danger, even if it online. Basically how people hide behind the anonymity of the internet, really.”
I nod, taking a sip of the bottle of water I brought with me as he said that. “I don’t understand a single word you just said, but I hope it was an interesting read.” I smile, “You look great with glasses, by the way.”
“My contacts just got here right before I left to meet everyone at the school, so I had to wear glasses today,” He says, leaning forward and shaking the two princes awake. “Come on, dinner soon! Wake up!” He turns to me, the smile not leaving, “I’m glad to know you think I look good with them, though. Most of the guys tell me it makes me look too ‘lawyer’, whatever that means.”
“Lawyers can be hot,” I point out with a shrug, “Well, so long as they’re not against you, that is.”
The two princes complained as they woke, though most of it coming from Sehun. Yixing say up first, his hair in a mess as he rubbed his eyes. His hands start to fix the nest on his head as he looks around at all of us. Sehun pops up soon after, his hair even messier and a scowl on his face. “Road trips suck, why didn’t we just fly,” Sehun asks, groaning as he stretches.
“Everyone else wanted to see what it was like,” Kyungsoo answers, looking at the rearview mirror quickly. “Fairly certain we’re going to fly back, though.”
“Good,” Sehun says, running a hand through his hair, trying to make it less messy. “My back hurts and it take so much longer.”
I lean forward, smirking at him. “You’re the one who didn’t remember a pillow,” I say with a smug grin, only to be met with Sehun’s hand on my face, pushing be back and away from the edge of the seat. “Hey!”
“‘You’re the one who didn’t remember a pillow’,” He mutters in a mocking, high pitched tone. “Bite me.”
“I’m so hungry I just might,” I say, laughing.
“He’d be too bitter,” Yixing teases with a yawn, smiling at his brother. The youngest reaches over and messes his fixed hair again. “Really Sehunnie? That’s rude.”
“Your comment was rude too,” Sehun says rolling his eyes. “Besides, not everyone can be sweet like angel Yixing.”
“Everyone literally could be, though” Minseok says as Kyungsoo pulls into a restaurant parking lot. “You’d just have to decide to be nice.”
The bickering continued as we left the car, only to have Lina grab me tightly. “Y/N! I missed you!” She pretty much yells, making me cover my ears. The music in their car was thumping when they pulled in. It’s a wonder they can still hear. “Have you seen my videos and pictures,” She asks, pulling me to her as we walked toward the entrance.
“No,” I admit, “I was sleeping. It was lovely.”
The food was nice, and we all got caught up about what happened between the two cars. The ‘party car’ scoffed at our sleeping and, in Minseok’s case, book reading. They played music, sang along to the music in weird voices, played weird games and just tried to keep from distracting Junmyeon. We chatted and streched, watching the clock as the time started to slip.
We left the restaurant as it was closing. It was fairly late, and we still had to get groceries. Party car didn’t want to go get groceries, so that left all of us to get them instead. We searched for a bit, but we eventually found the grocery store. Once we get to the store, I watch as Sehun takes a cart of his own, pulling Kyungsoo along with him. “You know what bourbon Jun likes. I can’t remember the name.”
“We’ll get the actual food,” Yixing says with a small sigh, watching them disappear to get the booze.
“Sweets,” I say with a smile, “We can’t forget sweets!”
“Cera gave me some to bring to you for the trip,” Yixing says with his dimpled grin. “It’s with my stuff. I’ll give it to you when we get to the cabins.”
“Do you think if I proposition a poly marriage with Cera and her girlfriend, they’d be down,” I ask, Glancing at Minseok as he was pushing the cart down the aisle. He stops it, looking over. “Because goddamn that woman is making me want to anything for those sweets!”
“She’s a one person kind of gal,” Minseok says, picking out some pizzas we can cook in the cart. “Sorry to shatter your dream, but I think she’s off the market for life.”
“Fuck,” I say, pouting. I shrug, “Oh well.”
Yixing smiles, touching my nose with his finger, “You shouldn’t marry someone because of sweets, Y/N!”
I roll my eyes, pretending to be disgusted at the thought. “The only reason I’d have a wedding is for the cake, let’s be honest,” I say, hopping up into the seat at the front of the basket. My legs hanging off over the handle on either side of Minseok as he pushed us forward. “If I ever get married, I’d prefer just in a courtroom. Get it over with.”
“Because that’s the epitome of ‘romantic’,” Minseok chuckles, poking my leg while shaking his head at me.. “Courtroom weddings are just depressing. Trust me, I’ve interned a bit at the courthouse and seen a lot of them.”
“Not everyone has money for a lavish wedding and dinner after. Sometimes you just got to get married. Besides, that’s better than going to a casino and getting married at one of those marriage chapels they have in them.” I point to the fruits and veggies, “Are we going to cook or are we going to eat out?”
“That’s an interestingly worded question,” Minseok says with a laugh. I roll my eyes, my cheeks getting red as he reaches forward and pinched them lightly. “You’re so cute, and you’re also right. Not everyone can afford a big wedding. But getting a minister or court official to marry you somewhere you both love is infinitely better, in my opinion.”
“You’re not answering my question!” I say, swatting away his hands.
“We’ll eat out most nights,” Yixing says, “At least, that’s the plan. I’d also like to say I agree with Minseok. Anything is better than a casino wedding or a courtroom one.”
“Then to snacks! Chips and cookies! Ice cream! Oh, and drinks of the non alcoholic variety!” I smile, looking at them. I think for a second, my mind coming back to the previous conversation, “yeah I guess. But I wouldn’t care, honestly.”
“Haven’t you dreamed about your wedding like most women do,” Minseok asks, pushing us at a leisurely pace towards the snack aisle.
I shake my head, “Not at all. I don’t think about that kind of stuff because it doesn’t seem likely… that and it would require someone to actually want to marry me.”
“You’re wonderful, someone will definitely want to marry you,” Minseok says, giving me a sad look. He frowns, “You’re amazing, Y/N. One day you’ll see that.”
“The day someone actually wants to marry me is the day I die of a heart attack,” I mutter to myself. If they heard what I said, they ignored it.
We got a lot of snack foods and easy to make things. Soda, a lot of water, candy, ice cream sundae supplies and things like that. We met up with Sehun and Kyungsoo, who’s cart was full of alcohol and mixers.
“How are you all going to drink all of that,” I ask, eyeing it as the woman start to ring us up. She had black hair that was in a bob, green eyes as she looked over at us. Her eyes widened as she saw Sehun and Yixing.
“We’ll find a way,” Kyungsoo says, “It is eleven of us, after all.”
Sehun looks at me, his ‘thinking face’ on. “Do you have a favorite cocktail, Y/N?”
“Don’t really drink,” I say, shrugging before I hop out the basket, my legs and back feeling stiff from being that way for about twenty minutes. “On the rare occasion I do, I usually drink just like… one fruity thing.”
“What about the ones that taste like desserts,” Kyungsoo asks, smiling at the woman who was staring.
“They always tasted like desserts that had something wrong with them,” I say with a shutter.
The woman gets it all done quickly, bowing and telling us it was a pleasure to help us. She was shy, though she recognized the royals undoubtedly. She seemed really nice, truthfully.
We got to the first cabin where we’d all go and hang out for most of the day. It was bigger than the other, and there was a walkway connecting the two. Music was already playing loudly as we got there, having everyone help us with the groceries. All of us who went and got the groceries had everyone who didn’t put them all up as we go and unpack. I roll my huge suitcase into my room, smiling as I look at it.
It had a hardwood floor, feeling a bit cold under my feet. It had a huge bed with a large white duvet over it. The room was on the second floor, a large window looking out to the vast forest that surrounds these cabins. The sky was full of stars, more than you see in the city. It was a lovely view. The walls were a nice, light, pastel purple. There were some pictures from the surrounding area taken by a local artist. One was a waterfall, the other of the forest at night full of lightening bugs. They were beautiful and shot very well. They gave me the master bedroom, and it was about as big as my whole apartment. I look, taking a peek into the master bathroom, smiling when I see a huge tub and a wonderful shower. The the floor was cool against my feet, making me a bit cooler than I was before. I couldn’t help but notice how the wall of the shower was completely glass, the forest out there. It was going to be a nice view, I just had to make sure not to shower when people are outside.
An idea hits me as I smirk. I take a running start from the bathroom, hopping into the bed, a laugh coming from me. I melt into it, as it was soft. It felt like I was laying on a cloud. I hear a laugh from the door, seeing Yixing and Sehun there.
“We were coming in here to tell you that they already started with some games and whatnot next door. You coming?” Yixing asks, smiling.
I nod, hopping off the bed and quickly putting on a light sweater and grabbing my sketchbook and a pencil. I following them across the walkway to the other cabin. Thankfully someone turned down the music to where it was enjoyable. It was large, the chairs and seats made into a circle so we could see one another. The rug was nice and soft on my sock covered feet. There was a fireplace at the wall directly across from the walkway door, unlit for now. There was a chandelier hanging made of iron, looking like it was made in the medieval ages. It was very spacious, and all the couches and chairs from the house it seems were made into one huge circle.
Lina smiles, pulling me next to her on one of the couches. It was a two person couch, and it felt like heaven. “We’re about to play a game. Haven’t figured out what, though. Tomorrow we want to play something in the forest.”
“What can you play in a forest,” I ask, looking at around. Kyungsoo was organizing the fridge, trying to fit the food and alcohol in it. As Junmyeon tried to help.
“Well, like, hide and seek, but with extra rules for added fun,” She says, winking at me. “We were thinking about truth or dare for right now. Only if you don’t want to answer, you have to take a shot.” Her eyes meet mine, smirking, “And this time, you will be playing! We’d probably mostly want to ask you truth, since I’m sure they want to know more about you.”
I grimace, “Shots? Ew.”
“But wouldn’t you rather do than then, well, some crazy dare we come up with?”
“They’ll probably just be sex related somehow, knowing you all,” I say, making Chanyeol laugh from the couch across from us.
“Y/N, you know us so well already,” He says with a laugh.
“Junmyeon! Bottle and shot glasses,” Jongdae says, smiling from his seat on the floor.
A few minutes later, a bottle open and each glass in from of ten of us completely full. I sign, weighing the drunk option over the dares. Kyungsoo decided to sit out, and no one stops him from doing so. After all, he did drive a long time to get us here. I expected Junmyeon to sit out too, but to my surprise, he decided against it.
“I’m the oldest,” Minseok says, smiling from his spot on the footrest of a chair. “Therefore, Junmyeon, truth or dare.”
“Dare,” He says, smirking at him. “Can’t let the first one of the night be truth, right?”
Minseok nods, “Exactly! Anytime you decided to take a shot instead of doing the dare or telling the truth, you must take of an item of clothing. If you don’t want to, you have to take two shots from then on.”
“Easy,” He says, smiling.
Soon, after watching Baekhyun take a dive into the pool, Lina being dared to take a sext and send it to someone random on her phone (Which just happened to be me, much to everyone’s displeasure) and Chanyeol giving Sehun a hickey on his neck, it apparently was my turn.
“Fuck it, I’m doing truth,” I say, sitting back into the chair, my sketch book open as I drew the scene of us all as a cute cartoon.
Chanyeol nods, thinking for a bit, “Of all the people who’ve you had sex with, who was the best? And no ‘my second boyfriend’ or whatever, names! I want a name Y/N!”
I hide my face behind my sketch book, feeling my face flush bright red. Jongdae gave a smirk, leaning back in his seat with a bit of a cocky look. They really don’t tell each other unless they know the person they’re with is fine with it, that much I could tell from the way most of them are looking at me. On one hand, I didn’t want to say it, but on the other, did I really care? It wasn’t like they’d judge me for it, since they’re all the same. I spoke clearly so I wouldn’t have to answer more than once, “Minseok.”
“Wait, you and Minseok,” Baekhyun asks, the towel around him falling to the floor. He leans forward, looking to the eldest in the room. “Really? Damn!”
Jongdae gives me a look, “Wait, not me?!”
“What do you mean ‘not me’,” Lina asks, looking over at me with a surprised look. I sink lower in the seat, covering my face with my hands.
“I feel personally attacked,” Jongdae says, looking at me. “I thought it was great, Y/N!”
“Listen, Jongdae, it’s just hard to live up to my standard,” Minseok smirks, shrugging, “I’ll give you lessons if you need them.”
“More importantly,” Chanyeol yells over them, standing and pointing at me. “Why not me,” he asks, “I’d totally be down!”
“It just happened,” I mutter, in a not really needed attempt to explain myself.
Lina smiles, patting my head, “Way to go!”
“Can we just stop talking about this please,” I ask, pulling the hood up on my hoodie, trying to hide my face even more.
“Then pick someone,” Yixing says from his place beside Baekhyun. I was so thankful that he was trying to help this move along. He could see how uncomfortable it was making me feel.
“Ummm… Junmyeon…,” I say, not looking at him, but still feeling his eyes on me. “Truth or dare?”
“We’ll if you’re giving it, then truth,” He says, a small laugh from him. “Can’t be that bad, right?”
I pout hearing that, trying to think of a question. Lina leans in, whispering a question into my ear, giggling after she looked under the hood and seeing my face was bright red. I swallow, trying to calm myself. I sigh, asking the question Lina suggested. “Uh… who was the last person you had a wet dream about?”
Sehun laughs, “Oh, now this I have to hear!”
I look out from under the hood, watching as all eyes are on the crown prince. He seemed fine, not being bothered by the question at all. He glances at Lina, “That’s the best one you thought of?”
“She’s so shy, any other one I would have suggested she would have refused and left,” Lina explains, shaking her head at him. She pats me, “You have to remember, Y/N is a shy one!”
Junmyeon sits forward, making it so that he could see my face. He smiles, biting his lip before looking me in the eyes. “Well… you.”
No amount of water in the world could have put out the flame my cheeks were making. I almost choked on air from gasping so quickly. My heart was racing even more after hearing that. I mean, he’s a prince! He’s going to be king someday and he thought about me like that? I looked at him with wide eyes, “What?”
“You heard me, the last person I had a sex dream about was you,” He says, his voice completely confident.
“Wasn’t expecting that,” Jongin says from his seat, looking at everyone to see if they felt the same.
Lina just elbowed me lightly, “Come on, how many times do I have to tell you that you’re sexy as fuck before you believe it?”
I pull the strings of my hood, “Just go on please!” My voice was high pitched and cracked a bit from my nerves. This earned some laughs from everyone as the game continued. I stayed under my hood for a couple of rounds. Thankfully it seemed as it everyone was fine with leaving me alone. However, I did peak out to see Lina being dared to swap clothes with Baekhyun (They, funny enough, can wear the same things). It was a hassle and, because Lina doesn’t care, she changed right in front of them.
She smirked, looking down at herself, “I look great in your clothes. Better than you do.”
“Why do people wear tights,” Baekhyun says, sitting back down, “I mean, it’s showing literally everything!” He was now in Lina’s leggings with a very flowy no sleeve shirt. It looked great on him. He was the type who could make anything work.
Lina was in his jeans and t-shirt. The shirt was a bit bigger than what she would wear, but she tied a little knot in the front and made it look cute. Lina picked Chanyeol and dared him to give Yixing a lap dance, which was honestly more hilarious than sexy. No one could stop laughing at how awkward it was. Yixing was kind, trying to help him look better when giving the dance. Once it was over, Chanyeol dramatically fell to his knees, yelling in embarrassment. Chanyeol then picked Jongin, who also picked dare. This one was more fun, because Chanyeol just told him to teach me how to dance, since most of us needed it anyways.
Jongin was sweet and nice, helping me off the couch as I finally pulled my hood off. He said Chanyeol never said what kind of dance, so he went with a classic waltz. We ended up moving the huge rug so that it was just hardwood beneath our feet, since ‘that just don’t do’, apparently. He also, for some reason, was happy I was wearing socks. All very confusing to me.
“You back has to be straight,” He says, my hand on his shoulder while his was under my arm. His the other hand was holding mine softly. “Stand tall, lead with the heel of your foot, not your toe.”
“I have no idea what they even means,” I whine, making him smile at me. “I’m going to make a fool of myself.”
“I promise you, you won’t. Just follow me, ok? I won’t hurt you and I won’t blame you if you step on my toes,” Jongin says very softly with a chuckle. “Feels weird to do a Waltz in sweatpants!”
I smile, seeing how relaxed he was about this. I’ve peeked in at him dancing before, and you could always see how clearly passionate he was for it.
“You just had to leave out what kind of dance, huh,” Baekhyun says, shaking his head from his seat, the rolled up rug under his feet.
“I don’t know dance types! Are there sexy dances,” Chanyeol yells as Sehun was using his phone to connect to the Bluetooth speaks for a ‘Waltz worthy song’.
Sehun rolls his eyes, “Of course there are! Mostly Latin dances, though. Samba, Mambo, Lambada-”
“The lambada would have killed her,” Yixing says, shaking his head, “That one is literally sex with your clothes on.”
“That sounds interesting,” Junmyeon says, giving his brother a look.
“Sounds fun,” Jongdae agrees.
“Shh,” Sehun says, “Alright, and go!”
Jongin lead me almost effortlessly. I stepped on his toes once, but he told me not to worry. He’d tell me what to do next, when to turn and spin and whatnot. My feet were moving on their own as I tried not to overthink what I was doing. I let my embarrassment go, as Jongin was calm and explained what he was going to do. His eyes were full of passion, and I could tell that dancing was what he truly loved and adored. His hands were holding me and helping me, guiding me gently.
“Alright,” He says, “Keep one foot planted on the ground and wrap one leg around me when I say. Then, lean back as far as you can. You won’t fall, I promise!”
I did as he said once he told me to, leaning back, putting my feet where they’re suppose to be as Jongin spun us both in a circle. His hands held my hips, keeping me from falling the entire time. I smiled and laughed, feeling oddly graceful. When he pulled me back up, the song ended and I could hear some clapping. I smile at him, "That was lovely!"
He nods, a blush coming to his cheeks before he give a slight bow, "Thank you for the dance."
“Framework could use a bit of tightening up and you did step on his toes, but overall I’d give it a seven out of ten for a beginner,” Sehun says from his seat, hiding his small smile behind a sarcastic remark. His eyes followed Jongin and I as we danced, looking more happy as he has all night.
The game continued, a few rounds in, Junmyeon took a shot and removed his shirt because of what Minseok said earlier, and Minseok also took a shot. A few dares down, Chanyeol whispering a secret dare into Junmyeon’s ear, making everyone ask what it was all night. It was my turn again and I picked truth.
“What kinks are you into,” Baekhyun asked, smirking at me.
I covered my head, deciding not to answer it. I take the shot glass full of tequila, taking it quickly before making a disgusted face. “That’s awful! Why do people do that?! Ew!”
Jongdae laughs, “You could have just asked me to tell them!”
“If Y/N doesn’t want people to know, then you should respect that,” Minseok says, giving him a stern look.
“I do,” He says, holding his hands up as he leans into his chair away from his cousin. “I just wanted her to know that it was an option!”
I push Lina, “You pick the next one for me.”
Her eyes light up like she was a kid again as it was Christmas morning and she had a pony waiting for her. Which, knowing her father, probably wasn’t far from her reality growing up. She looks over to the youngest member of the group, smirking, “Sehunnie! Truth or dare!”
“Dare, obviously,” He says, shrugging, “I never pick truth, after all!”
Lina just smiles, “You remember how pretty much every time someone plays this and there’s a specific dare you always seem to give me?”
He just shrugs, “Honestly? I don’t recall…”
“You always dare me to kiss any other girl playing,” She says, her grin getting wider, “So, I dare you to kiss someone of the group of your choosing excluding Y/N and myself. Not just a peck either.” Lina says, winking at him.
Sehun covers his face, “Oh… those dares. I mean, Lina, are you sure-”
“Positive,” She says, smirking at him, “Unlike you, I at least give you a choice because I’m kind.”
“I’ve never seen you blush so much,” Baekhyun says, smiling at Sehun. “It’ll be fine, Sehun. Just pick someone and go at it! Think about it like you’re kissing just a one night stand!”
“I’m not kissing my brothers,” He says firmly. His face was bright red, his eyes looking down, trying not to look at anyone.“That would be just weird and gross. Can’t you just choose someone Lin?!”
“Are you sure you want me to have that power,” She asks, giving him a wickedly sweet grin.
He looks at her, eyeing her sickly sweet smile before shaking his head. “No, I don’t.”
Baekhyun just rolled his eyes, “Stop taking so long!” He stands, talking over to Sehun before sitting down on his lap, facing him. “It’s just a kiss, seriously!” He takes the youngest man’s face in his hands, threading his hands into Sehun’s black locks. Baekhyun smirks, pulling him so that their lips met. Lina cheers, smiling and clapping. I was surprised at how heated the kiss was, honestly, though this group does seem to take their dares extremely seriously.
A few moments later, Baekhyun was pulling away as Sehun bit his bottom lips playfully, before smirking at him. Sehun’s embarrassment was washed away already. The calm, confident self he puts forward already back, “Just jumped at the chance to kiss me, huh?”
“I mean, I just wanted to know,” Baekhyun replies truthfully, smiling before hopping off his lap, heading back towards his seat.
“Sweet, sexy revenge,” Lina says, smirking.
Thankfully, as the night started to go on, people started to fall asleep in their chairs. The game soon ended after that, which I was extremely grateful for. I gently lay Lina down so her head rested on the other side of the seat, covering her with a blanket that was on the back of the couch. I stand, seeing Junmyeon take the shot glasses, some empty and some full, into the kitchen. I pick up the last four, Lina’s still having tequila in it as I hand them over.
He smiles at me, “Thank you, Y/N!”
I nod, looking at the time. “So, what are we doing tomorrow?”
“Well, There’s a lake we can do to, or we could drive 30 minutes to a city to be for the day. There’s also a theme park an hour away as well,” He explains, pouring the leftover liquid down the drain. He quickly washes them, drying his hands. He grins, offering me an arm, “To the quiet cabin?”
I nod, taking it with a smile. It never ceases to amaze me how he was so kind and thoughtful. I mean, many of the princes and princesses from neighboring countries were all stuck up and bossy according to Lina, so I assumed perhaps they all were. As he opens the door, I look back, smiling at all the sleeping figures. I turn back, looking at him. He was pale, and under the moonlight he looked paler, but he was still extremely handsome. “Junmyeon, if you don’t mind me asking, what was the secret dare you were given?”
“I’m not going to do it, honestly,” He says, a slight blush coming to his face, “But, if you’d really want to know, Chanyeol dared me to try to make my dream a reality.” He looked at me, in the eyes, “I told him I didn’t want to try, since that just felt wrong. It would be just using you for a dare.”
My face heated up again for the record time this night. He opens the door to the quiet cabin. We walk in, and it was nice and quiet, though pretty dark since we didn’t leave any lights on. “He dared you to try to seduce me?”
He nods, “Chanyeol means well, I promise, he just sometimes doesn’t think everything through…”
“If he didn’t dare you, would you have ever tried?” I asked, “To… well…”
He shrugs, “I mean, if it happened naturally, sure. But… well, with who I am, people try to use me all the time. Even that way. You’d be surprised how low people would go to try to attach themselves to me and my brothers. The lure of royalty is strong.” He grimaces, “I even had a woman I had sex with stabbed a hole in a condom through the wrapper. I noticed the tiny needle hole in it when she handed it to me.” Junmyeon turns to me as he start up the stairs, “Not that I think you would be that way or that I don’t trust you, I just tend not to pursue anyone that way a lot.”
I nod, “I understand. But what if I say I want to help make that dream real?”
He looks at me, a smile, “I’d be flattered, but… didn’t you hate us?”
“I misunderstood you all, I’ll admit it,” I nod, agreeing, “But lately I’ve been wanting to just experience things I haven’t before. I’ve lived in a cage I’ve put myself in for so long, never really having fun or letting myself be free.”
He stops us at the top of the stairs, looking at me in the eyes. “Y/N… are you sure? I don’t want you to feel like you have to just for a dare-”
“Junmyeon, you’re extremely sexy and I trust me when I say I’ve had dreams like that about you too.” I smile, a blush still on my face. “If it makes you feel weird, we don’t have to. Or we could just not tell anyone. So, why not make them real just for the hell of it?”
He looks at me, taking my hands in his, looking down at me, a smirk on his face. “Alright, Y/N… are you sure?”
“Yes,” I say nodding.
Junmyeon take my face in his hands, pushing me so my back collided with the wall. His lips on mine in an instant. His hands went to my legs, pulling them up so he held me against the wall. His tongue roughly meeting mine as he grinded his hips into mine. The sudden switch in mood making me dizzy in anticipation. I moaned, my hands going to his hair as he made his way into my room. The door was shut, locked behind us as I couldn’t help but think gleefully that while everyone else’s night has just ended, our night was just about to begin.

Bears, Boxes and Broken Bones [Lin-Manuel Miranda x Reader]
Request: could you please write a fix where the reader & Lin get more serious and the reader & readers daughter semi move into Lina bachelor pad and he finds it weird and then at the end of fic he realises he wants to make a family with reader???? Ish??? Idk??? :)
Word Count: 1,696
Warnings: broken wrist? is this a warning? haha other than that, none!
A/N: So, I changed the request just a tiny bit and made the reader’s daughter a 10-year-old, not a teenager (idk why, i think i like the idea of Lin interacting with kids). Also a huge shourout to mackie @protecting-my-legacy that helped me with this and got a little homage -sof’s injury-. Hope you feel better soon Mackie! So i guess that’s all the notes i have for this one, hope y’all like it! (PS: i am the worst with titles i hate this title but don’t let it define this fic lmao)
askbox | masterlist
“I think you should move in.” Lin’s voice is almost a whisper, but it wakes up from your half-asleep state.
You and Lin have been dating for almost a year, but for some reason he never mentioned you moving in or vice-versa, maybe that’s why it took you so much to comprehend what he was saying. “Wait, what?”
“Don’t you think it’s time?” He says as he plays with your hair. Cuddling in bed with him and having nothing to worry about was always the start of an important conversation for the two of you: The first time this happened, you decided to introduce Lin to your daughter, Sofia. She was 10 and the result of your first marriage, a problematic relationship that didn’t last more than two years. You regretted many things about it, Sofia wasn’t one of them.
“Well, I guess? Do you think it’s a good idea?” You asked, now tracing random patterns on his chest with your finger. “I mean, you can move to our place…”
“My place is bigger, closer to Sofia’s school and the Richard Rodgers.” He simply answered. Lin tried not to show, but you know he put a lot of thought on that idea.
“We’d have to talk to her about it, are you sure?” You turned to him, placing a few strands of hair away from his face. “Do you really want to give up your man cave, Lin-Manuel?”
The teasing tone on your voice - and calling him Lin-Manuel - made he wrap your hands around your waist and turn you against the bed, his body now hovering over yours and making you giggle. “Man cave, my place is not a man cave!”
“Your clothes on the floor and the empty fridge beg to differ.” You replied before pulling Lin to a kiss. “What time is it?”
“Almost two, I guess…”
“Shit, we need to pick Sofia up at four.” You said before getting out of the bed. Your ex-husband, Jess, stayed with her every two weekends, and these were usually the weekends you’d stay at Lin’s.
“Okay, let’s go.”
You parked in front of Jess’ place at precisely four o’clock. Sofia was standing by the door with her father next to her and a teddy bear in her arms, her face brightening when she saw you hop off the car.
“Mom, look!” She said, running towards you with the toy. The bear was wearing period blue clothes, that you soon recognized as Alexander Hamilton’s outfit from your boyfriend’s show. “This is Alexander Bearmilton!”
“Wow, he’s so handsome!” You acknowledged, pulling your daughter into a hug.
“I can’t wait to show Lin!”
“He’s in the car, why don’t you go there?” You placed a kiss on Sofia’s forehead before she ran off to the car, where Lin greeted her with a hug.
“She wouldn’t stop talking about Hamilton” Jess said, with his hands on his pockets.
“Lin took her to see the show on friday, she fell in love with it.” You commented, not taking your eyes off your daughter and Lin.
“He’s a good guy, [Y/N]. I’m glad you found someone good for you.”
“Thanks Jess, I’m glad you found Alice too.” You replied. “Sofia likes her.”
“Not as much as she likes Lin.”
You were both still watching Sofia and Lin talk in the car: Lin now had grabbed the bear and started to play with it, probably singing some Hamilton song you couldn’t listen as your daughter laughed and sang along.
“Yeah, he’s a keeper.”
one week later
“Two more boxes and we are all set.” You said as Lin came back into the apartment for what seemed the millionth time that afternoon.
“And that’s because you’re still keeping stuff here.” He added before placing his hands on your hips, pulling you closer.
“You know I can’t sell this place just yet. Sof grew up here, it means a lot to us.”
“I still can’t believe she was so cool about everything.”
“Me neither, she’s the best.”
“Who’s the best?” Sophia entered the living room with her bag and a backpack, ready to go. You both looked at her and you couldn’t help but smile, she was so smart and beautiful.
“You are!” Lin exclaimed, letting go of you and turning to her. “Are you ready to move?”
“I guess… Mom, did you see my sketchbook?”
“I did, it’s already in a box somewhere, you can get it once we start unpacking.”
“Okay.” She said, before turning back to her room, leaving the bags on the floor.
“Where are you going?” You asked, making her look back to you and Lin.
“I’ll check if I didn’t forget anything.”
“Okay, we’ll leave when you’re ready.” You said, resting your head on Lin’s shoulder and receiving a forehead kiss in return. “Thank you.”
“For what?”
“For being here.” You answered, wrapping your arms around him.
“There’s nothing in the fridge!” Sof’s voice echoed through Lin’s apartment as you finished packing. She gave up opening the boxes hours ago, after finding her sketchbook and pencils, going to the kitchen table and occupying herself with her own creativity.
“Sorry Sof, I didn’t have time to go shopping this weekend!” Lin shouted back while going to where she was. “Wanna order something?”
“Maybe pizza?”
“Pizza sounds great.” He agreed, his eyes going from Sofia to the table full of drawings. “Hey, did you draw these?”
“Mh-mm” she nodded, joining Lin by the table. “I tried to draw Peggy, because she’s little like me.”
“I can see, this is really good!” You were passing by the kitchen when the scene caught your attention. Making as little noise as possible, you watched your boyfriend and your daughter interact like they were, well, family. “I think we should hang this on the fridge, Jasmine would love to see it.”
“Can you maybe take it to her?” Sofia’s voice was way too excited, making her blush and Lin let out an adorable laugh.
“Of course! She’d love to see your art, I bet the other cast members would too.” You couldn’t help but smile when your daughter jumped on Lin’s arms before staring babbling about how she wanted to draw everyone so they wouldn’t feel left out. Once she left the kitchen, Lin noticed you standing by the door, watching the whole thing. “Hey you.”
“Hey.”
“How long have you been there?”
“Some time.” You replied as he got closer and you automatically wrapped your arms around his neck. “Sofia really adores you, you know?”
“She’s amazing, did you see how good her drawings are?”
“I did! I raised her, you know?” You answered, giggling.
The loud noise on the other room interrupted the cute moment between you and Lin, and the sound of your daughter crying made you rush to see what happened.
“Love, are you okay?” You arrived in Sofia’s room to find her trying to get up from the floor, her tears streaming down her face as she held her wrist.
“I- I- I fell… Mommy, it hurts so much.” You brushed her tears away with your hands before assuring her that everything was going to be okay.
“I’ll get the car keys.” Lin rushed out as you picked Sofia up and stormed to the car.
“So it’s just a small fracture in her wrist, she’ll have to wear a cast for at least four weeks. But besides that, she’s perfect.” The doctor’s words removed all the agony from your chest, and apparently from Lin’s. Sofia was sitting between the two of you, silent, her wrist now immobilized by bandages that would soon be replaced by the cast.
“Is there any medicines she needs to take? Anything we need to know?” Lin asked, and you couldn’t help but notice his leg was bouncing, just like every time he’s nervous about something but didn’t want to show, almost like his energy being redirected to an specific action as a way to cope with everything.
“Just… be careful with what she uses to deal with the itch the cast may cause, I have removed way too many pencils and forks from casts before, it’s not pleasant.” The doctor winked at Sofia, that replied with a small smile. “I think you guys are good to go.”
“Thanks, doc.” Lin shook the doctor’s hand before standing up and following you and Sofia all the way to the hospital hallway. “How you feeling, Sof?”
“Better. It still hurts… A little.” He smiled before placing his hand on Sofia’s shoulder, guiding her out of the hospital.
“Good thing you’re a leftie, you’ll be able to finish the drawings for the cast if ou want!” You commented.
“No way! I’m a leftie too! High-five!” Lin lifted his hand for Sofia, that laughed and high-fived your boyfriend. The connection between them was unreal, and you were so grateful for having him by your side. You remembered the times you had to take her to the hospital by yourself when she was little, having to struggle between the paperwork and a sick toddler. On the way to your apartment, you heard Lin and Sofia talk about her going to see Hamilton again the next week, so she would be able to hand the drawings herself and say hi to the cast.
He was good with kids, he was good with your kid, and you loved him even more for that.
Later that evening, after sending Sofia to bed, you snuggled next to Lin on his couch, his arms open to embrace you as you sit down. “Thank you.”
“For what?”
“Everything. Having us here, taking care of Sofia with me.” Your eyes were locked on his, and you noticed his smile growing and his eyes glowing as you spoke.
“It’s the least I can do.” You smiled back, your fingers tracing his cheeks before placing a kiss on his lips. “[Y/N]?”
“Yes?”
“Have you ever considering having another kid?”
“Well, I guess.” You noticed his intentions right away. “Why do you want one?”
“Maybe…”
“I think we can talk about that.” You replied before laying your head on his chest. “I love you.”
“I love you too, [Y/N].”

((confusion ensues, alongside with "We're best friends" sprinkled with a side of "yOU TRIED TO KILL EVERYONE WITH SOCCER")) yeah I'm fun at partiesdid i also forget to mention I'm time travel confusion trash?O - Choose a song at random, which ship or character does it remind you ofI already answered this and I don't think I have another one lol, uhhhh i've actually been looking for new songs to listen to, helpN - Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice)MORE YUUICHI, MORE REIZA X EINAM, and generally honestly pieces of fanfiction and art and like everything because EVERYTHING EVERYONE MAKES IS SO BEAUTIFULI - Has tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and whynot that I can remember, but the whole fad over, well, any of like newer animes I guess (like Yuri on Ice and Hetalia and stuff like Hamilton and that's just from my Facebook feed and Youtube that I saw) killed any motivation for me to ever want to watch them or take interest in them or touch them with a 30 foot pole thanks ((others are super free to scream about these fandoms and there’s nothing wrong with that
