Hello lovelies!

You know since that tall, handsome man joined and has fully taken over the advice column, I can now focus on providing you with all the wonderful updates you all send in.

Starting with some most unfortunate news and a reminder to be ever vigilant over your doors. Emma Dunford was the unfortunate victim of a home invasion. Thankfully, she is making a full recovery with her partners at her side. I’m sure her son is grateful to have his mother back around. It has been reported the culprit was Jae-Sung, who was seen having a spat with one of our teachers during the art festival, but I don’t think anybody saw him as capable of such a horrendous act. 

The one to call it in after fatally wounding Jae-Sung was Kirby. Three cheers for our new young hero! However, I will say we had someone provide some interesting speculation when submitting this. It was very convenient that Kirby was there just in time, was it not? They claim that they simply saw something suspicious - but why not radio it in immediately then? Not to mention they have previously had trouble with the law in town. Now I’m not saying they were working with Jae-Sung and turned on each other, but well… That would be quite the story, wouldn’t it?

Now then, let’s move on to much happier news, shall we?

It seems Sammie’s Place truly is the place to find love in this day and age. Cassius Romero proposed to Lynx one of the bartenders, during one of their shifts this week. Considering all other Romeros seem to be in committed relationships, it seems only natural he would finally find someone to settle down with, no matter how out of the blue it may seem. Besides, with such a public and dramatic proposal fit for a stage, we can only expect the wedding will be just as much of an event. I will certainly be delightedly awaiting my invitation in the mail.

Bucky’s Diner is also known for never having a slow day. Connor Hastings and Isabel Lovejoy were seen having a heated argument in the middle of the establishment as described by eyewitnesses. What it was about is anyone’s best guess, although with the way things turned out, I don’t think it’s a stretch for me to say that it appears to have been a lover’s quarrel. Mr. Hastings was seen giving quite the passionate kiss to Miss Lovejoy at the end. Perhaps with her, his icy exterior might eventually crack.

Backstory: Born to an Edenian fire nymph, and an Earth realm pyromancer, Reiki grew up with high expectations. When his powers  came in, the expectations grew. Unlike with Ying, these expectations weren’t to take over his father’s position as Grandmaster of the Shirai Ryu, but to focus on keeping his healing abilities a secret. For you see, Daegon, leader of the Red Dragon, was on the hunt for the last remaining “Sisters of Blaze”. Should she be discovered, Reiki would be killed. The only way to protect Reiki was to enlist her in the Shirai Ryu and have her train with Hanzo Hasashi. (Against her mother’s wishes). Reiki, however, did not want this, and instead wanted to be a healer and a guardian, just like his mother was. 

When his father died, Reiki, now known as Red-Reaper, passed up the title of grandmaster to Hanzo Hasashi, now known as Scorpion. The halfling stayed in the clan until a meeting with another halfling, known as Arctic-Nebula, gave Reiki the push she needed. Unbeknownst to Reiki, leaving the clan she grew up in would leave it vulnerable to an attack. Learning of their deaths, Reiki, joined by Ying, (now called, Amaryllis), and Nozomi, tracked down the last of Hanzo’s descendants, and made a vow to become their guardian, by joining the Earth realm fighters in aiding their fight against Outworld. Unbeknownst to the Reiki, (now known as Cleome), she would meet her true destiny. To be a guide to a future seer named Klaudia Moore.

I am absolutely normal, frothing and the mouth screaming-crying-throwing up about the foreshadowing in Ep 7 of Eternal Brotherhood.

The current generation in the bath saying, once war starts, it will be hard for the three of us to be together (no screenshots)... And then this:

The sworn brothers from the previous generation, the oldest dead, the second and third at daggers drawn? Saying one last goodbye but not meeting face to face?

The youngest, the third brother - Yang Minghua, ruthless strategist - keeping da ge Yuanxing's memory alive by doing the things he used to love?

And then...

I am weeping in advance because our da ge is Di Lin who is going away to win every battle he fights or else; er ge is Siyi who is going to be the memory keeper; and our san di, the youngest, is Zichuan Xiu who is also presenting as someone he's not, who's devoted and loyal and is willing to play the mercenary fool.

Please, in the next episode Ge Yingxing is clearly going to die and as for my poor meow meow Di Lin, it's only a matter of time.

I am begging every trio of young heroes to never, ever ever swear eternal brotherhood, okay? Nothing good ever comes of it. Not in a peach orchard, not on any back mountains, nowhere! Nowhere is safe!

Speaking of Lin Chi, he might have launched his three hundred complaints against Xi Ping, but also, Xi Ping single-handedly dragged him kicking and screaming out of his 800(?) year long depression by being, as always, an unignorable nuisance. 

Xi Ping going, "Hey, I need you to do shit for me that should logically take a couple of years to complete, but I need it, like, yesterday, or the world is going kaboom" forced Lin Chi to not only come out of seclusion, but also pick up his forging tools again, fire up that old flame, and get to inventing. And boy did he not disappoint! 

He goes back to doing the thing he used to be passionate about, he becomes better at it!, he challenges himself, even his friendship with Zhi Xiu and Wen Fei is basically a result of Xi Ping giving them a reason to start a "Xi Shiyong is a devil and a rat in a human body" knitting circle. 

And he needs it. 

The enough-to-last-for-ten-years fireworks? Inspired. 

The shapeshifting tool that gets Xi Ping turned into an actual rat? Probably the very last time Lin Chi invented a contraption without an idot-proof failsafe in place. 

Lin Chi might be perpetually pissed off about Xi Ping, but also, he is living again, meeting people, following his passion. He owes Xi Ping his life, even though it kills him in the end, and I am Emotional about that.
