Did someone say more prosthetic limbed Hugo? No? I'm just hearing things? Awesome, here's more:

When Nuru joins the team, Hugo and her get on the wrong foot instantly. The trio break into the Koto castle during a ball to find the next trial, and Hugo tries to sweet talk his way around Nuru to find the trial's location. His fake charm is something she sees right through as a princess used to having people take advantage of her as a young royal. At some point, Hugo pivots his plan from getting info from Nuru to keeping Nuru distracted so Yong and Varian can sneak by into closed off areas. Nuru catches them slipping by and tries to warn the guards, but Hugo steps in her way to keep up the distraction. Upset, she pushes through Hugo who loses his balance and falls, either landing on his prosthetic arm or knee wrong and slightly damaging it. Nuru realizes that Hugo is disabled when this happens and unlike Varian or Yong, she treats him like some unfortunate victim, apologizing profusely to him for her behavior and asking if there's anything she can do to help him. While her reaction irks him, Hugo assures her he's fine and uses the situation to keep her attention for just a bit longer. What really pisses him off though is when she orders the guards to carry him to a chair where he can 'rest'. Being manhandled this way humiliates him, and he hates the looks of pity that other ball attendees give him. Eventually, Hugo manages to slip away to join Varian and Yong before all three are caught before they can enter the trial and Nuru questions their actions. While Varian convinces Nuru that they need to complete the trial for their journey to the eternal library, she decides to join the group, to which Hugo tries to persuade Varian and Yong to not let her tag along. Varian and Yong accept Nuru's help in the trial and Nuru spends her time not only helping with the trials puzzles, but offering Hugo help whenever the group has to go through rough terrain, offering to hold his hand or carry items for him. She thinks she's being genuinely kind to Hugo, but it's making him feel coddled, and he detests it.

At some point in the trial, Hugo and Nuru get separated from Varian and Yong through a trap door that they fall through when Nuru tries helping him. With Nuru's excessive pampering, Hugo rudely responds to her that he doesn't need her help and they wouldn't have fallen into the trap if she minded her own business. They argue, Nuru not understanding why Hugo is being difficult when she's just trying to help, and Hugo insisting he's not a charity case for some princess to get an ego boost from. After letting out pent up steam through their fight, the two notice symbols on the ceiling that display the constellations. To open up the pathway forward, all constellations from the Ursa Major family need to be touched, glowing a bright blue from human touch. Since the ceiling is rather high, Hugo instructs Nuru step onto his shoulders to reach the ceiling. Nuru doesn't want to, worried about Hugo’s prosthesis until the blond insults her, saying "Look, if you don't know which constellations to push, you can just tell me instead of pretending you're above stepping on others. Figures, I'm stuck with a saccharine halfwitted princess."

Out of spite, she goes along with Hugo's plan and stands on his shoulders to touch the constellations. At some point, she hears Hugo groan as he walks toward the next constellation, but before she can offer him a break from holding her up, Hugo goes "I thought princesses are supposed to be light. If part of me weren't metal, my bones wouldn't be able to carry your heaviness", making Nuru scoff at him and respond "Oh, can it! I don't need a talking step stool."

Eventually, all constellations are touched and the two rejoin Varian and Yong as a door opens. While Hugo and Nuru still don't like each other when they finish the trial, at that point, Nuru stops being so accommodating to Hugo and learns to interact with him without his disability coming into frame with their interactions. To her, he's no longer this poor angry person who's rough around the edges due to his handicap, but just a rude smartass that happens to have a prosthetic limb. They are not friends, far from it, but it's still a step up from where they began.

skk that got married for a mission (that didn't need them to get legally bound but they did it either way) as teens in the mafia, and now, years later, Chuuya is fed up with Dazai being unsanitary while "temporarily" crashing at his apartment and demands a divorce for an indefinite period of time (aka until they're mushy-hatey with each other again).

Nikolai's the judge, Sigma's the lawyer (aka the guy trying to translate the mushy-hatey language of skk into normal words), and Fyodor's the jury with Bram and Aya. The ADA and PM are the unfortunate, unwilling witnesses to the "horribly domestic lives of Osamu Dazai and Chuuya Nakahara" and has to recount instances of them being a couple.

Ango brings out the actual paperwork for a divorce and skk glare at him like hell hath no fury comparable. Then it's offered they live apart, and both react so dramatically it's like you suggested they rip out their hearts for a day. Dazai even pulls a Victorian-lady faint. Sigma walks out at this point.

In the end, it's settled Dazai sleeps on the couch for a week.

husbands aran and shinsuke would take such good care of you pls i'm actually getting emotional over it :')

they're both up earlier than you given their jobs and schedules but aran always spends some more time after his morning run and shower in bed with you, while shinsuke is already out and about. he tells you about cute dogs he saw and your plans for the day, kissing your sleepy giggles from your lips and leaving you so loved and feeling warm all over once he really has to leave. and then there's shin who always prepares breakfast for the three of you, his own little ritual before going to the fields; careful, gentle, competent hands handling the food with so much love that you can taste it once you sit down to enjoy his labor. the rice is soft, the vegetables perfectly seasoned and the freshly brewed coffee fills you both with energy and a deeply seated, all encompassing appreciation as you think of him.

shinsuke also makes sure to check in on you once he's taking his afternoon break, whether you're home or not, and the two of you talk about everything and nothing at all, simply enjoying each other's company. he picks up on all your moods and always manages to cheer you up with his loving honesty, telling you about all your qualities and the things he loves about you. your face heats up every time, no matter how long it's been since you got together, because the open, unabashed way he talks about you so endearingly leaves no room for discussion. you, in turn, give him as much love back as you can— so many heart emojis via text, your spoken thanks in case you're on the phone during your own break, or kisses if you're home with him, taking extra care to leave him a little breathless yourself, whispering soft praises and thanks against his skin.

most days, aran comes home late, given the strict training schedule he has. he is one of the best, after all, and that doesn't come from taking it easy. (you've been texting all day, though, and he always returns to his routine with a gentle smile on his lips and better posture, cherishing the sweet words and terrible memes you've been sending him. it gives him strength— to know that you're always there cheering him on, whether it's at an actual game or from home or your work place while he's training to get stronger.) shinsuke and you are both in the kitchen, soft instrumental music playing in the background as you chatter with each other, and it feels so much like home that aran's chest tightens every single evening without fail. he toes off his shoes in the genkan and moves into the beautiful, open kitchen, smile already on his face and he watches the two of you light up as you greet him. he steps towards shinsuke first, pressing a tender kiss to his lips, hand on his hip and a mumbled „tadaima“ muffled by the skin to skin contact. you watch them from your spot at the table with almost actual hearts in your eyes, face in your hands and a giddy excitement growing in your belly at having both your boys home with you again.

More VAT7K brain blerps – Hugo’s prosthetic limb Continued

I didn’t realize how much others like prosthetic limbed Hugo, so now I’m more excited to share my other ideas on it. Thanks for the validation y’all. 

After the fiasco with the thugs and Varian finds out about Hugo’s artificial limb, the alchemist is on the same curiosity level as Yong, wanting to know more about Hugo’s alterations to it. Hugo spends an entire evening talking to the two as they sit by the campfire, answering their questions on the materials he’s used, his own schematics, and each component in his prosthesis. He enjoys displaying the fruits of his labor and uses his invention to get the two’s interest and trust in him. The talk goes on late into the night and while Yong eventually ends up falling asleep, Varian stays up longer, fixated and impressed by Hugo’s work. At some point, Hugo removes the limb from his body when Varian asks to get a better look. Normally, he would just let a person get close to him to see, but when Varian leans in toward him, the closeness sends a wave of nervousness and awkwardness through his body. 

Thinking quickly, he moves away to get a better angle to unlatch the device, not certain why he felt self-conscious earlier.

Just make sure you give it back, alright, Goggles? He jokes as he removes it. Varian gently takes it into his hands and gets a closer look at the internal interlockings. As he does, Hugo goes back to boasting about his work. Impressive, right? Much better than the usual peg or hook you’ll see on others. It’s fully functional while still serving as a work of art.

Instead of rolling his eyes at Hugo or scoffing at his prideful demeanor, Varian nods, agreeing with the blonde. It’s beautiful.

Hugo is taken aback by the compliment and feels his ears burn as he realizes that Varian just called a part of his body beautiful. At that moment, Hugo is grateful that Varian is too immersed in the prosthesis to see him blushing.

During their travels, Yong asks Hugo why he keeps his limb hidden under his clothing. If I had something that cool, I’d show it off.

I don’t think people other than nerds like you two think it’s cool Hugo explains. Plus, it’s easier to get around without attracting attention.

Truthfully, Hugo hates the look of pity strangers give him when they find out he has a fake limb. Even before he got his prosthesis, he learned how to get around and function well without his arm/leg so it nerves him to be seen as something less because of it. Therefore, he keeps it hidden to avoid those looks and be treated no differently than any other person. Seeing Yong and Varian react so positively compared to the usual spiel was both refreshing and appreciated. The two never treat him like he’s incapable of handling himself, even when he can be reckless.

Sometimes Yong forgets about Hugo’s prosthesis or forgets which limb is artificial. The kid will mistakenly high five Hugos metal arm way too hard and hurt his own hand. Or, Yong accidentally drops something heavy on Hugo’s fake foot and apologizes.

I’m so sorry Hugo! Are you hurt?

I’m in terrible pain, Sparks he answers in a monotone voice. I think I lost feeling in my toes. We may need to amputate.

Once Hugo’s more comfortable making jokes with Varian and Yong, the two end up dealing with his morbid sense of humor.

Yong will wish him good luck and tell him to break a leg.

To which Hugo will respond with I'm already ahead of you!

He also definitely pulls this move on Varian when the alchemist asks him to lend a hand.

It’s amusing the first few times, but by the fourth, Varian has to control himself from not throwing the prosthesis back at him. 

He gets back at Hugo with this joke eventually. One day, Varian asks Hugo for help and the engineer tosses his arm to him as predicted. Without missing a beat, Varian takes Hugo’s mechanical arm and uses it like one of these bad boys:

To retrieve a book from a high shelf. Hugo is left both insulted and bested.

Give me that! You know what, Goggles? You just lost your Hugo arm privilege. He chastises Varian, who looks rather pleased with himself. He snatches back his prosthesis with the book still in its grasp. So insensitive! Why I’d never!
