"send me Black characters because I want to support those more :)" on a post about support Black creators. i dont think you get it. Pick your presumably working legs up and look for them. Look for Black illustrators and musical artists and creators and make an effort to support them. Don't just wait around for someone to hand it to you on a platter so you can pat yourself on the back for being willing to look at someone's Black oc ? You do have to make an effort, especially since so many people push Black artists aside. Listen to others, Black people specifically, and take the initiative to broaden your horizons and be willing to be uncomfortable.

really really vibing with evil ghost jenny as the third participant in buffy and angel's relationship. like idk man something about the fake warped nonexistent version of jenny saying "go to each other" when the very real dead woman is the whole reason they can never be together without buffy's entire social circle flipping their shit.
this is absolutely an effective use of jenny. i think i am actually starting to enjoy this aspect of the episode. like, fucked up, of course, that she's part of angel's parade of faceless victims, but also implicitly she is the one that we spend the most time with. she is the face he keeps seeing, regularly, more than anyone else, and i don't know if i really considered the implications of that before this watch. the other faces are changeable and they throw out little details of their lives to hurt him, but jenny is the one telling him what to do, and angel is visibly struggling not to give in and listen to her. there's a canonical connective thread between jenny and angel that i just did not notice before this episode and it has me ALL AFLUTTER.

the thing about the next month is that it's going to. suck.
#i'm finishing up out of town work and going back home tomorrow#and then saturday we work#and then next week is. whatever.#and the week after we're driving out of town again to our job sunday#and then we're working until friday and then going back home again#and then the week after we're working mon-wed then have thursday off for the 4th of july and then we're working fri-fri#and now my coordinator is like 'good news! i crunched the numbers and you guys don't need more help so i'm pulling ppl from your job'#like okay. i'm glad the math checks out for that. in the real world however where things go wrong this is going to kill us though#in a month where we're already struggling#like. if you have to pull someone you have to pull them. no hard feelings#but don't pretend it's not a bad thing you're doing to us#especially because the job she's pulling from is notoriously difficult and always needs extra time due to problems and filter changes#like. man.

sometimes when I get too stressed I have dreams where I'm spending time with one of my late grandparents and smtn happens to where I realize they're about to die in front of me in a matter of seconds and I start fumbling my phone and begging for some pictures or recordings of their voice like please please please just tell me you love me and I make you proud please and then I wake up & remember all I have left is a few polaroids as old as I am and my grandma's jacket and it makes me sick all over again that I'll never hear their voices again

also love how in the remake when Aerith comes in with her most beautiful dress Cloud is awestruck and clearly finds her pretty, meanwhile in the OG when she's like "so how do i look? :)" the only reply he gives is visibly shaking his head and sighing and her calling him no fun
he really doesn't have an opinion about it he just wants it all to end right now.
#also just like i did remember the owners of the shop are all so excited about making dresses for men#like both the old man and his son are so happy about it because it's really a whole new creativity angle for them#and the old man is the one who got to have you meet Jules because 'he's also into making men cute'#and likewise meeting Jules has his whole group talk about how he's the cutest big bro in town#and the big muscle guys there challenge you because THEY want his wigs#like.
